Workday, Inc. [PLEASANTON, CA] (NASDAQ: WDAY) announced that it has promoted Chano Fernandez to co-CEO, alongside Workday Co-Founder Aneel Bhusri, who was previously sole CEO. Fernandez joined Workday in 2014 and has held several leadership roles within the sales organization, including president of EMEA and APJ, and was most recently co-president of Workday. Prior to Workday, Fernandez held senior positions at software companies as well as in global consulting.
International Recycling Group [ERIE, PA] announced the appointment of Chris Dow as the new Chief Executive Officer. Dow has worked in the recycling industry for over 20 years holding executive leadership roles at Closed Loop Recycling both in Australia and the UK as well as being a Director at the Resource Association and Deputy Chairman of the Plastics Recyclers Europe PET group.
TruSight [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Jonathan Pressman as its CEO. Pressman has been a member of TruSight’s executive team since 2018, previously serving as global head of business development. Prior to joining TruSight as global head of business development, Pressman spent over eight years with IHS Markit in senior sales roles.
Luminex Home Décor & Fragrance Company [CINCINNATI, OH] announced that it has appointed Scott Meader as CEO. Meader has held various CEO-level positions for private equity portfolio companies including Ronnoco Coffee LLC, AB Mauri Fleischmann’s, and Milnot Holding Corp. Meader has also served as a board director for several CPG companies including Nellson Nutraceuticals, Eurofresh, Allied Blending & Ingredients and Pierre Foods.
IFF [NEW YORK] (NYSE: IFF) announced that Kathy Fortmann has been appointed IFF Divisional CEO, Taste, effective October 1, 2020. Fortmann will replace Matthias Haeni, IFF’s current Divisional CEO, Taste, who has informed IFF of his intention to retire from the Company. Upon completion of the previously announced merger of IFF with DuPont’s Nutrition & Biosciences (N&B) business, Fortmann will assume the role of President, Taste, Food & Beverage. Fortmann will replace Haeni and Amy Byrick, N&B Food & Beverage Platform Leader, who had been previously announced to lead the Taste, Food & Beverage division upon transaction close. Fortmann joined IFF in April 2020 as Head of Taste Strategy and Cross-fertilization. Fortmann most recently served as President of FrieslandCampina Ingredients, and previously held the role of President of Business Services and a member of the Executive Committee at Cargill as well as various positions with DuPont.
Associates in Medical Physics [LANHAM, MD] announced that Brian Pellegrini has joined AMP as its Chief Executive Officer. Pellegrini most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of Optum Advisory Services. Pellegrini’s experience also includes senior roles at The Advisory Board Company, where he was Executive Vice President of their Consulting division and Vice President and General Manager at The Broadlane Group, now a part of Vizient.
BKD CPAs & Advisors [SPRINGFIELD, MO] has selected Tom Watson as its next CEO, effective June 1, 2021. Watson will succeed current CEO Ted Dickman, who is retiring May 31, 2021. Watson previously served as regional managing partner for BKD’s South Region and managing partner for BKD’s Dallas/Fort Worth/Waco practice.
Agrellus, Inc. [LUBBOCK, TX] announced that Chris Johnson has been named as Chief Executive Officer. Rusty Andrews, who has been acting Chief Executive Officer and Board Member since 2017 will continue as Chairman of the Board. Johnson has more than 25 years of senior management experience, most recently as Chief Strategy Officer of Johnson Innovation Group, and prior to that, Johnson served as Chief Technology Officer of Diversified, Inc.
Ingevity Corporation [NORTH CHARLESTON, SC] (NYSE: NGVT) announced that it has named John C. Fortson as the company’s president and CEO, and that he would join the board of directors. Fortson had previously served as Ingevity’s executive vice president, CFO and treasurer. Fortson joined Ingevity in October 2015 from AAR Corporation where he served as vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer since July 2013. Prior to joining AAR, Fortson spent almost 15 years in the investment banking department of Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
PDC Wellness and Personal Care Co. [STAMFORD, CT] announced that Pete Columbia, the Company’s President, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Columbia has over 30 years of experience in the branded consumer health, wellness and personal care sectors at PDC, White Rain, Lornamead, KAO and Unilever. Columbia has held a number of senior roles over his 11 years at PDC, having originally joined as Chief Commercial and Sales Officer in 2009 before being named President and Chief Commercial Officer in 2018.
UltiSat, Inc. [GAITHERSBURG, MD] (SGC) announced the appointment of David Myers as incoming President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Moe Abutaleb, its long-standing CEO. Myers joins SCG from Peraton, where he served as President of the Communications sector. Myers previously served as President and CEO of Datapath. Myers has held a number of senior executive roles at ITC Global, Harris CapRock, and Spacenet. Myers also served as Chairman and President of the Space and Satellite Professionals International industry association.
Benefitfocus, Inc. [CHARLESTON, SC] (NASDAQ: BNFT) announced that Stephen Swad, the company’s chief financial officer, is named president and chief executive officer. Swad succeeds Raymond August, who is stepping down as president and chief executive officer. August will remain with the company through the end of the year. Swad also succeeds August as a director on the Benefitfocus board of directors. Prior to Benefitfocus, Swad served as CFO of Vox Media, Inc. from 2016 until July 2019. Swad was also president and CEO of Rosetta Stone Inc. after serving as its CFO beginning in 2010. Prior to joining Rosetta Stone, Swad served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Comverse Technology, Inc., beginning in May 2009. Swad also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) from May 2007 until August 2008 and has held various senior financial management positions with public companies, including AOL Inc. (now a part of Oath Inc.) and Time Warner Inc. and its subsidiaries.
Gateway First Bank [TULSA, OK] announced the formal appointment of Scott Gesell as Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel for the Bank. Gesell will also join the Board of Directors of Gateway as a Director. Gesell has served as CEO on an interim basis since April 3, 2020. Prior to becoming CEO, Gesell was Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel for the Bank. Before joining the Gateway team in 2013, Gesell’s senior roles included positions with Colorado National Bancorp, American Residential Communities, Affordable Residential Communities (now Hilltop Holdings, Inc.), First Nationwide Bank, First Madison Bank, First Gibraltar Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas.
Blinktbi, Inc. [CHARLESTON, SC] announced the appointment of Jeff Riley as Chief Executive Officer and to the company’s Board of Directors. Doug Carnes, blinktbi’s founding CEO, will remain as Chief Operating Officer and continue to serve as a Member of the Board of Directors. Riley’s healthcare and biotechnology experience includes leadership positions with SmithKline Beecham, Pfizer, Quest Diagnostics, Xenome, Ontogen and most recently as CEO, President and Director of Synthetic Biologics.
VantagePoint Performance [NORTH PALM BEACH, FL] announced that it has promoted Eric Fraser to CEO. Joe Terry will remain as a member of the board and as an advisor. Prior to his current role as CEO, Fraser was Executive Vice President, Strategy and Infrastructure at VantagePoint Performance. Before that, Fraser held numerous key roles at Altify, Kronos, Oracle and Accenture.
Evergy, Inc. [KANSAS CITY, MO] (NYSE: EVRG) announced that Terry Bassham has informed the Board of Directors of his decision to retire as President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Evergy. Bassham will continue to serve as Director, President and Chief Executive Officer of Evergy until his successor is appointed.
The Goldfield Corporation [MELBOURNE, FL] (NYSE American: GV) announced the passing of its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, John H. Sottile. The Company’s Board of Directors appointed its Chief Financial Officer, Stephen R. Wherry, and the President of its electrical construction subsidiary Power Corporation of America, Jason M. Spivey, as Acting Co-Chief Executive Officers of the Company.
NOUS Imaging [ST. LOUIS, MO] announced Ken Bruener as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Until now, co-founders Nico Dosenbach and Damien Fair had been running the company’s day-to-day operations. Bruener’s last position was President of Jan Medical. Bruener also previously held executive positions at Brainlab AG and Codman Neuro.
Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech [NORTHAMPTON, MA] announced the appointment of Bruce Skyer as president and CEO. Skyer comes to Clarke from Child First, where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Child First, Skyer led the National Kidney Foundation as CEO. Skyer succeeds Doug Scott, who is retiring and will transition to Clarke’s Board of Trustees.
California Steel Industries, Inc. [FONTANA, CA] announced the appointment of Shinji Tanaka as the organization’s new President and Chief Executive Officer, replacing Marcelo Botelho Rodrigues who completed his four-year term on August 1, 2020. Tanaka joined CSI in January 2020 as the Executive Vice President of Engineering and Continuous Improvement coming from JFE Steel in Japan, one of CSI’s two shareholding companies, where he has worked since 1989. Prior to joining CSI, Tanaka served as Staff General Manager of the Overseas Business Planning Department at JFE Steel, and prior to that served as General Manager of the Plant Engineering Department in Fukuyama Works. Tanaka has also served as a Member of the Board of Directors of CSI. From 2001 to 2004, he worked at CSI and served as the Manager of Hot Strip Mill Maintenance.
Performance Trust Capital Partners [CHICAGO, IL] announced that its current President Chirag Shah will be transitioning into the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2020. Performance Trust’s current CEO and Co-founder, Rich Berg, will become Executive Chairman. Shah joined the firm in 2008 trading Structured Products and has since held various roles overseeing the Financial Institutions Group, Trading, Capital Markets and Investment Banking.
ATRIO Health Plans [SALEM, OR] announced that Wendy Edwards was promoted to CEO. Edwards began her work with the company in 2014, serving as ATRIO’s Chief Compliance Officer. Edwards progressed through several leadership titles, transitioning from Executive Vice President to President in 2018.
Tacton [CHICAGO, IL, & STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN] announced the appointment of Bo Gyldenvang as CEO. Gyldenvang joins Tacton from Software AG Americas where he most recently served as COO. Prior to this, Gyldenvang held management positions at software companies such as BMC Software and HP Software. Gyldenvang takes over as CEO from Frederic Laziou, who has served in the role since late 2016.
