SpartanNash [GRAND RAPIDS, MI] (NASDAQ: SPTN) announced that it has hired Tony B. Sarsam as President and Chief Executive Officer. Sarsam will assume that role and join the Board of Directors, effective September 21, 2020. Interim President and CEO Dennis Eidson will continue in his role as Chairman of the Board and will serve as Executive Chairman for a period of thirty days. Sarsam most recently served as CEO of Borden Dairy Company, Inc. Prior to Borden, Sarsam served as CEO of Ready Pac Foods, Inc. Earlier in his career, Sarsam served over twenty years in progressive leadership roles at PepsiCo before joining Nestlé, where he served for three years as president of Nestlé’s Direct Store Delivery Company.
Consolidated Edison, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: ED) announced that it has elected Tim Cawley as Con Edison’s president and chief executive officer, effective January 1, 2021. Cawley will also serve as chief executive officer of Con Edison’s principal subsidiary, Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. John McAvoy has decided to retire as president and chief executive officer at the end of the year. McAvoy will remain the chairman of the board. Cawley was appointed president of Consolidated Edison Company of New York in 2018. Prior to this position, Cawley served as president and chief executive officer of Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc. for 4 years. Since joining the company in 1987, Cawley served as senior vice president of Central Operations. Cawley also held leadership positions in Electric Operations.
GlobalTranz Enterprises, LLC [PHOENIX, AZ] announced that Bob Farrell, the company’s executive chairman, will become the company’s chairman & CEO. Farrell had previously served as the company’s CEO from February 2016 to January 2019. Renee Krug is departing the company to pursue other interests. Farrell has spearheaded several acquisitions for GlobalTranz, including AFN Logistics, Circle 8 Logistics and Apex Logistics Group. Prior to GlobalTranz, Farrell served as president and CEO of Kewill. Before Kewill, Farrell served as president and CEO of EDGAR Online, a leading global provider of XBRL software. Farrell’s role at EDGAR Online was preceded by his time as Chairman and CEO of Metastorm.
Cold Chain Technologies [FRANKLIN, MA] announced that Ranjeet Banerjee has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Larry Gordon, CCT’s Founder, has been elevated to the role of Senior Advisor and will continue as a member of the CCT Board of Directors. Banerjee has spent the last 25 years with Becton Dickinson. Most recently, Banerjee was a BD Corporate Executive Vice President as well as President of the US and Canada regions.
The Champion ONE Family of Companies [CLEVELAND, OH & ORANGE COUNTY, CA] announced the appointment of Michael Rapp as its new Chief Executive Officer. Pete Kirchof, C1’s acting CEO, will return to his primary role of Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. Rapp’s extensive executive experience ranges from serving as Chief Revenue Officer at En Pointe IT Solutions to heading integration and growth strategy at Insight. Rapp has also held key senior leadership positions at PCM, En Pointe Technologies, Software Spectrum, and Admor Memory.
American Virtual Cloud Technologies, Inc. [ATLANTA, GA] (NASDAQ: AVCT) announced the appointment of Xavier Williams as its new Chief Executive Officer and member of its board of directors, effective October 1, 2020. Williams succeeds Darrell J. Mays, who will continue to serve on the AVCT Board of Directors as Executive Vice Chairman. Williams has served in a number of leadership capacities over the past 30 years at AT&T. Williams most recently served as President of AT&T’s Public Sector and FirstNet. Prior to this position, Williams has served as President of AT&T’s National Business, President of Wholesale Markets, and President of AT&T’s Business Operations.
Tizona Therapeutics, Inc. [SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced the appointment of Christine O’Brien as Chief Executive Officer. O’Brien previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer. O’Brien joined Tizona in 2015.
XWPharma [REDWOOD CITY, CA & WUHAN, CHINA] announced the appointment of Leonard Blum as President and Chief Executive Officer. Blum succeeds Jia-Ning Xiang who is the company Founder and Chairman. Xiang will assume the role of Chief Scientific Officer. Blum joins the company with more than 30 years of international biopharmaceutical experience, including as Chief Commercial Officer at Omeros Corporation, Theravance, Inc. and ICOS Corporation. Previously, Blum served in roles of increasing responsibility at Merck & Co., Inc.
Gembah [AUSTIN, TX] announced that Henrik Johansson is joining the company as its new CEO. Johansson co-founded Boundless. Zazzle acquired Boundless in 2014, and Henrik continued to lead it as the CEO.
Arbitech [IRVINE, CA] announced the appointment of Jimmy Whalen as Chief Executive Officer and President of the company. Whalen has been part of Arbitech since its inception in 2000, and most recently served as the company’s Executive Vice President.
The Center for Innovative Technology [RICHMOND, VA] announced Bob Stolle as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer and President. Stolle previously served as CIT’s Senior Vice President of Policy and Regional Initiatives as well as the head of CIT’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystems Division. Stolle currently serves on the GO Virginia Guideline Workgroup, is on the executive committee of the University-Based Economic Developers, the GENEDGE Alliance, and is on the Boards of eight regional technology Councils in Virginia. Stolle has also served in several positions for the Commonwealth of Virginia, including Secretary of Commerce and Trade.
Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery [MAITLAND, FL] announced that Brian T. Griffin has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Matt Leavitt, who had been serving as CEO, has stepped into the role of Executive Chairman. Griffin was most recently Chairman and CEO of Diplomat Pharmacy Inc. Prior to his role at Diplomat, Griffin was with Anthem Inc., where he was Executive Vice President and President of the Commercial and Specialty Business Division. Griffin also held leadership positions at Express Scripts and Medco Health Solutions where he as CEO of Medco International. Before that, Griffin was President of Medco’s Health Plans Division and Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer of Merck-Medco Managed Care Inc. Griffin serves on the Board of Trustees of Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, where he was Chairman for four years.
DXC Technology [TYSONS, VA] (NYSE: DXC) announced that DXC Chief Financial Officer, Paul Saleh, has been named Chief Executive Officer of DXC’s U.S. State and Local Health and Human Services business.
GEODIS [NASHVILLE, TN] announced that effective October 3, 2020, Mike Honious will be promoted to President & CEO of GEODIS in Americas. Honious previously was the COO of GEODIS in Americas. Prior to joining GEODIS, Honious held several senior level operations positions at Gap, Inc. Honious will succeed Randy Tucker, who is retiring as President & CEO of GEODIS in Americas. Tucker is joining the GEODIS Board of Directors and has agreed to serve in an advisory capacity effective immediately after turning over his appointment of President & CEO.
Meritage Homes Corporation [SCOTTSDALE, AZ] (NYSE: MTH) announced that Steven J. Hilton, co-founder, chairman and chief executive officer of the Company, will be retiring as CEO effective January 1, 2021, but will continue as the executive chairman of Meritage’s board of directors. Phillippe Lord, currently chief operating officer of Meritage Homes, has been appointed to serve as CEO upon Hilton’s retirement. Lord joined Meritage in 2008.Lord was later promoted to West Region President and became chief operating officer in 2015.
QualityMetric [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Garth “Gus” Gardner as Chief Executive Officer. Gardner will be joining the company’s Board of Directors. Gardner’s career spans three decades of diverse leadership roles, including experience as the former President of QM. Gardner also was an executive at Optum. In 2018, Gardner joined Optum International as EVP of Operations for its Brazil businesses. Earlier in his career, Gardner was the Chief Operating Officer of Clinical Data, Inc. Prior to Clinical Data, Gardner was a Division President at PSICOR.
Cision [CHICAGO, IL] announced it has appointed Abel Clark as Chief Executive Officer. Brandon Crawley, Managing Director at Platinum Equity was acting as Interim CEO. Most recently, Clark was CEO and Chairman of TruSight. Previously, Clark was the Global Managing Director of Thomson Reuters’ Financial division. Prior to his role in the Financial division, Clark trading systems business, Marketplaces. Earlier, Clark was the Chief Strategy Officer for Thomson Reuters Corporation and member of the Executive Committee.
Fountain [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced the appointment of Sean Behr as Chief Executive Officer. Founder and Former CEO Keith Ryu will remain at the company focused on new strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Fountain, Behr served as CEO & Founder of Stratim. Prior to Stratim, Behr was Senior Vice President, Global Operations at Adap.tv. Before Adap.tv, Behr held various management roles at Shopping.com
Altus Group Limited [TORONTO, ON] (TSX: AIF) announced the upcoming retirement of its Chief Executive Officer Robert Courteau and the appointment of his successor Michael Gordon, effective September 30, 2020. Courteau will remain with the Company in a consulting role to help facilitate a smooth transition. Gordon most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Callcredit Information Group. Gordon previously held senior leadership positions at FICO. Gordon will be appointed to Altus Group’s board of directors effective September 30, 2020 and Courteau will retire from the Board effective the same day.
Incubeta [NEW YORK] announced it has appointed John Cawdery as the new CEO of Incubeta US. Cawdery was the former Manager of Google Measurement Platform – Channel Strategy and Solutions. Most recently, Cawdery was Manager of Google Measurement Platform – Channel Strategy and Solutions.
ContinuumRx [BIRMINGHAM, AB] announced that Keith Hartman has been named Chief Executive Officer. Todd Timbrook, who has been the Chief Executive Officer since 2017, will continue as an active member on the board of directors. For the past two years Hartman has been the Chief Operations Officer of ContinuumRx.
SiFive, Inc. [SAN MATEO, CA] announced the appointment of Patrick Little as President and CEO. Little succeeds Naveed Sherwani, who has stepped down as President and CEO and will remain Chairman of the board of directors. Little joins SiFive from Qualcomm where he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager. Little has over 30 years of operating experience in executive roles in the technology and semiconductor industries, including CEO of eASIC Corp., Senior Vice President of CSR Technology, and Senior Vice President at Xilinx Inc.
mDesign Home Décor [GLENWILLOW, OH] has appointed Stacey Renfro as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Renfro was Executive Vice President, Chief Digital and Customer Experience Officer at the Vitamin Shoppe. Before her tenure at Vitamin Shoppe, Renfro held several leadership roles at Pier 1 Imports including EVP, Planning & Allocation, and Senior Vice President of E-commerce.
Doc Patels’ LLC [OAK BROOK, IL] announced that Dakota Sullivan has been appointed chief executive officer. Rachna Patel, currently chief executive officer, has been appointed to the newly created position of chief medical officer. Prior to joining Doc Patels’, Sullivan was co-founder, CEO of Calyx Brands, Inc. Sullivan served as SVP general manager. Sullivan also served as chief marketing officer for BlueLithium, which was acquired by Yahoo in 2007.
Vizgen [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced the appointment of Terry Lo as President and Chief Executive Officer. Peidong Wang who served as Vizgen’s Interim CEO, will remain onboard as VP of Engineering. Prior to joining Vizgen, Lo was President of Akoya Biosciences, a post he assumed after an acquisition from PerkinElmer where he served as General Manager, Quantitative Pathology Solutions. Previously, Lo held several executive positions at global biopharma and diagnostic companies including Roche, Hologic, and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Century Rehabilitation [BATON ROUGE, LA] announced the promotion of Tammy Tuminaro to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Tuminaro succeeds founder Richard Pellerin. During Tuminaro’s 17-year career with the company, she has held a multitude of roles with increasing responsibility, including Regional Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations, and since 2011, Chief Operating Officer.
Indspire [OHSWEKEN, ON] announced that Mike DeGagné, the President and Vice Chancellor of Yukon University, will become the new President and CEO.
Beaver Paper [ATLANTA, GA] has named Tobias Sternbeck as Chief Executive Officer. Sternbeck previously was with Mimaki Engineering as Senior General Manager for the Textile and Apparel Business Unit and Group Executive Officer.
Form.com [BRAINTREE, MA] announced that Ali Moosani has joined the company as its new Chief Executive Officer. Before joining Form.com, Moosani was CEO of BLUE Software. Moosani successfully positioned BLUE Software for acquisition by Esko Brand Solutions, a Danaher Company. Moosani then served as President of Esko Brands. Prior to BLUE, Moosani served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Commercial Operations for 1WorldSync. Moosani has also held executive-level positions at Excellis Consulting Corp., VeriSign, and Accenture.
Avant Healthcare [CARMEL, IN] announced that Arun Divakaruni has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Divakaruni joined Avant Healthcare in 2019 as Chief Science Officer. Divakaruni previously served at Weber Shandwick where he eventually served as Executive Vice President.
American Shared Hospital Services [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] (NYSE American: AMS) announced that it has appointed Raymond C. Stachowiak as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2020. Stachowiak previously served as the Company’s interim President and Chief Executive Officer and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2009.
SiriusXM [NEW YORK] announced that Chief Executive Officer, James E. Meyer, intends to retire on December 31, 2020. Upon Meyer’s retirement, Jennifer C. Witz, President, Sales, Marketing and Operations, will become the Company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Following his retirement, Meyer will remain on SiriusXM’s Board of Directors and will serve as Vice Chairman. Upon assuming the role of CEO, Witz will be appointed as a member of the Board. Witz has been with SiriusXM for over 18 years, most recently serving as President, Sales, Marketing and Operations of SiriusXM since March 2019. Prior to that, Witz served as the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer from August 2017 until March 2019. Witz has served in a variety of senior financial and operating roles including Senior Vice President of Finance and Vice President of Finance. Before joining SiriusXM, Witz was Vice President of Planning and Development at Viacom Inc. and prior to that was Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc.
Devo Technology [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced former LogMeIn chief operating officer and the co-founder and former leader of IBM’s security business unit, Marc van Zadelhoff, as the company’s new chief executive officer. The company’s current CEO, Walter Scott, will become Chairman of the Board.
ServiceMaster Global Holdings, Inc. [MEMPHIS, TN] (NYSE: SERV) announced the official start of its new chief executive officer, Brett Ponton. Naren Gursahaney will continue his role as non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors following his service as interim chief executive officer over the past eight months.
JBT Corporation [CHICAGO, IL] (NYSE: JBT) announced that Tom Giacomini will return to the Company as President and Chief Executive Officer. Brian Deck, who has been serving as Interim CEO, will continue to serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Hexion Inc. [COLUMBUS, OH] announced that Craig Rogerson, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, has returned from medical leave. George Knight, who served as acting CEO, continues in his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
EXELON CORPORATION [CHICAGO, IL] announced that Kenneth Cornew, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Exelon Corporation, and President and Chief Executive Officer, Exelon Generation Company LLC, announced his intention to retire as of March 31, 2021. Cornew will continue to serve as Senior Executive Vice President until his retirement date.
YUNHONG CTI LTD. [LAKE BARRINGTON, IL] announced that Yubao Li, Chairman appointed as Chief Executive Officer and President. Li has served as a Director of the Company since January 13, 2020 and was elected as Chairman of the Board on June 1, 2020. Li has been serving as the Chairman of Yunhong International since its inception in January 2019 and served as its Chief Executive Officer from January 2019 to September 2019.
