Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago [CHICAGO, IL] announced that Diane Glass was promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Glass has been the company’s Chief Operating Officer since 2016, after being the VP of Sales Development and managing branch offices.
Grafoid Inc. [KINGSTON, ON] announced that it has appointed Marc R. Roy as Chief Executive Officer. Roy will also join Grafoid’s Board of Directors. Roy most recently served as an Executive at BDA, Inc. from January 2017 to June 2020. Prior to his position at BDA, Inc. Roy served as CEO of BrandAlliance from May 2013 to January of 2017. Prior to BrandAlliance, Marc served as CEO of Accolade Reaction Promotion Group from January 1999 to February 2010.
Lion Brand Yarn Company [CARLSTADT, NJ] announced that it has selected former BIC senior executive Chris Mills as the company’s next President & Chief Executive Officer. Mills succeeds David Blumenthal, President and CEO of Lion Brand, who will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mills brings more than 30 years of experience as a global CPG executive, most recently serving as President of BIC’s North American Consumer Products Division.
JMP Group LLC [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] (NYSE: JMP) announced the promotion of Mark Lehmann to the role of chief executive officer of JMP Securities, the company’s primary operating subsidiary. Lehmann was previously president of JMP Securities and continues as a member of JMP Group’s executive committee and its board of directors. Prior to joining JMP Group in 2003, Lehmann served both as the global director of institutional sales and as the global director of equity research at Banc of America Securities after working as an institutional salesperson at the firm and its predecessor, Montgomery Securities.
Bristlecone [SAN JOSE, CA] announced that it has named Nirav Patel, a long-time Cognizant Executive, as its President and CEO and a member of the Board of Directors. Most recently, Patel was Senior Vice President and Global Markets Leader of Cognizant’s Communications, Media and Technology business and a member of its Executive Leadership Team.
Roasters [TRI-CITIES, WA] named Derek Tonn as president and CEO. Tonn will take the helm at Roasters after a successful 15-year career at Pacific Northwest National Lab where he served in various roles, most recently as a financial specialist. Tonn replaces founder Wes Heyden in leading Roasters.
The MGM Resorts International [LAS VEGAS, NV] (NYSE: MGM) announced that William (Bill) J. Hornbuckle has been elected as Chief Executive Officer and President. Hornbuckle has been serving the company as Acting CEO and President since March 2020. Hornbuckle succeeds former Chairman and CEO Jim Murren, who stepped down earlier this year. Hornbuckle was also appointed to serve on the company’s Board of Directors.Hornbuckle was previously Chief Marketing Officer of MGM Resorts International from 2009 until 2012. From 2005 until August 2009, Hornbuckle served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. Hornbuckle previously had served as President and Chief Operating Officer of MGM Resorts International-Europe. Hornbuckle also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of MGM Grand Las Vegas from 1998 to 2001. Prior to MGM Grand Las Vegas, Hornbuckle served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Caesars Palace.
Yellowstone Forever [BOZEMAN, MT] announced that Lisa Diekmann will become the new president & CEO, effective August 17, 2020. Diekmann was the first executive director of the former Yellowstone Park Foundation, one of the predecessor organizations of YF. Diekmann is board chair of Mountain Journal and most recently served as director of development for the Bridger Ski Foundation and regional director of development for The Wilderness Society. Earlier in her career, Diekmann was a financial analyst for Goldman Sachs and the director of development for the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
Bestpass [ALBANY, NY] announced the appointment of Tom Fogarty as Chief Executive and to its Board of Directors. Fogarty joins Bestpass with over two decades of executive experience in the software, technology, and data industries, and he comes to the company after 11 years with RDC (Regulatory DataCorp, Inc.), where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer.
La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company [SAN DIEGO, CA] (NASDAQ: LJPC) announced that it has appointed Larry Edwards as President and Chief Executive Officer. From 2015 to 2020, Edwards served in various positions at Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals, Inc., most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer. From 2014 to 2015, Edwards served as Senior Director of Marketing of the Gram-negative Franchise of Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. From 1999 to 2014, Edwards served in various positions at Merck and Co., Inc., most recently serving as Global Marketing Director of Clostridium Difficile and New Infectious Disease Products.
Horizon [COLUMBUS, OH] announced that James (Jim) Capuano has been named the company’s Chief Executive Officer as of July 23, 2020. Prior to joining Horizon, Capuano served as Chief Operating Officer of FirstLight Fiber. Capuano’s other professional roles include: Chief Technology Officer at Unite Private Networks, in Kansas City, MO; COO at Veroxity Technology Partners, in Bedford, MA; and Vice President of Engineering and Operations at RCN Metro, in Westborough, MA.
Mindera Corporation [SAN DIEGO, CA] has announced that George W. Mahaffey was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and will also serve as a Director of the Company. Mahaffey’s prior role was President and CEO of Clarify Medical. Mahaffey previously served as President and CEO of Lithera, Inc., later renamed Neothetics, where he successfully completed an IPO in November 2014. Mahaffey served as CEO of Peplin, Inc. His prior role at this company was Peplin’s Chief Commercial Officer. Mahaffey also served as Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Cotherix, Inc.
Georgia Urology [ATLANTA, GA] announced Dan Fellner, formerly the company’s Director of Human Resources, as its new Chief Executive Officer. Fellner replaces longtime CEO Jason Shelnutt, who voluntarily steps down to remain on staff as Chief Financial Officer before transitioning to retirement. Fellner recently served as part of Georgia Urology’s Coronavirus Task Force by supporting the retention of every Georgia Urology employee during the pandemic.
Micross Holdings [MELVILLE, NY & ORLANDO, FL] announced that Vincent M. Buffa has been appointed CEO of Micross Components in addition to his role of Chairman of Corfin Industries and Micross Holdings. Previously, Buffa was President and CEO of Data Device Corporation. Earlier in his career, Buffa has held senior leadership roles including President, General Manager, VP of Operations and Business Units Director with Honeywell, Crane, Rexnord and Harris Corporation.
PRO Unlimited [BOCA RATON, FL] announced the appointment of Kevin Akeroyd as its Chief Executive Officer. Former CEO, Andy Schultz, stepped down after leading the company since its inception nearly three decades ago. Over the past four years, Akeroyd served as CEO at Cision. Prior to Cision, Akeroyd has been General Manager at both Oracle and Salesforce. Earlier in his career, Akeroyd held Executive positions at companies including Jigsaw, Acxiom and RR Donnelley.
Citizens, Inc. [AUSTIN, TX] (NYSE: CIA) announced that Geoffrey Kolander, President and Chief Executive Officer, has resigned as the Company’s President and Chief Executive and as a member of the Board of Directors.
Shermco [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced that Tom Bartolomei will take over as CEO on August 10, replacing interim CEO Bill Mohl, who has been serving in the role since May 2019. Mohl also serves as Executive Chair of the Company and will continue acting in that capacity. Bartolomei most recently served as the President & CEO of North American Energy Services. Before joining NAES in 2014, Bartolomei held senior and executive level positions at ABB, Alstom Power, and Burns & Roe Enterprises, and served as President & CEO of Eco Power Solutions.
The Alberta Indigenous Opportunities Corporation [CALGARY, AB] announced the appointment of Alicia Dubois to Chief Executive Officer of the AIOC effective September 1, 2020. Dubois joins the AIOC from CIBC where she developed and implemented CIBC’s Indigenous Markets strategy and framework. Dubois is the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business and served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Ontario Museum.
Smartronix, LLC and Trident Technologies, LLC [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Peter B. LaMontagne as Chief Executive Officer. LaMontagne succeeds John Parris, who co-founded Smartronix in 1995, operated as CEO of Smartronix since 2007 and both companies since December 2019. Parris will serve as Vice Chairman of the Company going forward. LaMontagne joins the Smartronix-Trident team from Quantum Spatial, Inc., where he was CEO until its acquisition by NV5 Global, Inc. in late 2019. Prior to QSI, LaMontagne led Novetta, Inc. as CEO from its establishment in 2012 through early 2017. LaMontagne has also served as an advisor and board member at OGSystems, now a subsidiary of Parsons Corp., and currently serves on the Board of Directors of ManTech International Corp.
Mission Ready Solutions Inc. [VANCOUVER, BC] (TSXV: MRS) announces that, effective August 7, 2020, James A. Marks will assume the role of interim Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Jeffery L. Schwartz has resigned as the Company’s President and CEO, effective August 7, 2020, but will remain a member of the Company’s board of directors.
Alliant Credit Union [CHICAGO, IL] has appointed Dennis Devine as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Devine succeeds David Mooney, who announced his retirement to the Board of Directors after 17 years. Devine joins Alliant after serving as President of Consumer Banking at KeyBank. Prior to KeyBank, Devine served as Group Executive Vice President at Citizens Financial Group. Earlier in his career, Devine held senior leadership roles at PNC Bank and McKinsey & Company.
Terracore Operating Company LLC [CAT CANYON, CA] announced that it has promoted Mark DePuy to the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Company and that William McConathy is departing the Company and will no longer serve as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to being promoted, DePuy served as Chief Operations Officer of the Company. DePuy joined Terracore as Chief Operations Officer in 2019. DePuy spent more than 8 years at Venoco, Inc. in senior leadership positions, ultimately becoming the CEO in 2014. From 2010 through 2011 DePuy also served as the CEO of Great Western Oil and Gas, a private oil and gas company. DePuy began his career with Union Oil Company of California and Unocal Corporation.
