The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association [CHICAGO, IL] announced that it has named Kim A. Keck as BCBSA’s new president and chief executive officer and a member of the Board of Directors, effective Jan. 4, 2021. Keck is currently president and chief executive officer of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI). Prior to BCBSRI, Keck spent 28 years at Aetna. Keck held numerous leadership positions, including president of Aetna’s northeast region and interim president of the southeast region. Keck will take BCBSA’s reins from Scott Serota, who is retiring from BCBSA after more than two decades as president and CEO.
Kitchen United [PASADENA, CA] announced the appointment of Michael Montagano as Chief Executive Officer and newest member of the Company’s Board of Directors following two years serving as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Montagano joined Kitchen United as CFO in 2018. Prior to Kitchen United, Montagano led PowerFlex Systems from seed-stage to acquisition by a Fortune Global 100, Electricite de France. Montagano currently sits on the Board of Directors for Dog Haus World-Wide.
Alteryx, Inc. [IRVINE, CA] (NYSE: AYX) announced that Mark Anderson, a current member of Alteryx’s Board of Directors, has been appointed to succeed Dean Stoecker, Alteryx’s Co-founder, Chairman and current Chief Executive Officer, as Alteryx’s Chief Executive Officer. Anderson previously served as President of Palo Alto Networks. The Company also announced that Mr. Stoecker has been appointed as Alteryx’s Executive Chairman and will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Before Palo Alto Networks, Anderson led worldwide sales activities at F5 Networks. Earlier, Anderson held leadership positions at Lucent Technologies and Cisco Systems.
Metegrity Inc. [HOUSTON, TX] appointed Martin Fingerhut as their new Chief Executive Officer. Founder of Metegrity and former Chief Executive Officer Adrian Met, will continue as Chairman of the Board. Prior to joining Metegrity, Fingerhut was the CEO at Technical Toolboxes.
IDology [ATLANTA, GA] a GBG company, announced that Christina “Chris” Luttrell has been appointed as CEO. Previously COO of IDology, Luttrell has been with the company for 13 years. John Dancu, CEO of the company for 15 years, will continue in an advisory role.
Welltower Inc. [TOLEDO, OH] (NYSE: WELL) announced that Shankh Mitra has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and will join the Board of Directors, effective October 5, 2020. Mitra, who has been serving as Vice Chair, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Investment Officer, succeeds Thomas J. DeRosa, who is stepping down as Chairman and CEO after leading Welltower for more than six years. Mitra will retain his CIO title. Mitra joined Welltower in 2016 and has served as the Company’s Chief Investment Officer since 2018, adding the roles of Vice Chair and Chief Operating Offer in April 2020. Mitra also served as Senior Vice President, Finance, and then as Senior Vice President, Investments, before assuming his most recent roles. Prior to joining Welltower, Mitra was a Portfolio Manager investing in Real Estate Securities at Millennium Management. Mitra also held Senior Analyst positions at Citadel Investment Group and Fidelity Investments after beginning his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
BandGrip [CHICAGO, IL] has named Dirk Benson as chief executive officer. Fred Smith, founder of BandGrip, has stepped out of his CEO role and into an executive chairman of the board role at the company.
98 Ventures [GREENVILLE, SC] has announced the promotion of Scott Moore to Chief Executive Officer. Moore will be succeeding the founder, Scott Ramsey, who has been in the role since 1998. Ramsey recently shared his desire to transition from his full-time role to Chairman of the Board. Moore most recently served as President.
Potomac Institute for Policy Studies [ARLINGTON, VA] announce the promotion of Jennifer Buss to Chief Executive Officer. Buss was also named a member of the Board of Directors. Buss replaces Mike Swetnam, who passed away in September. Buss also previously served as Assistant Vice President and Vice President.
The Tech [SAN JOSE, CA] announced that Katrina Stevens has been chosen as the president and CEO. Stevens replaces Tim Ritchie, who became president of the Museum of Science, Boston, earlier this year. Stevens joins The Tech from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Before joining Chan Zuckerberg, Stevens was deputy director and senior adviser in the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology in the Obama administration. Previously, Stevens co-founded an educational technology company; served as a strategy consultant to educational nonprofits; worked as an ed-tech journalist and co-founded the #EdTechChat on Twitter; and was a classroom teacher, department chair, program director and interdisciplinary curriculum leader.
Agile Sourcing Partners, Inc. [CORONA, CA] announced the appointment of Luis Manuel Ramírez as CEO. Prior to joining Agile, Ramírez most recently served as the CEO of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, and prior to that he served in executive leadership positions at Global Power, GE, and Siemens. Maria Thompson, Agile’s founder has transitioned from CEO and will serve on the company’s Board of Directors and as a Strategic Advisor.
Smith Transportation Services, LLC [NEW YORK, & TAMPA, FL] announced the appointment of Jonathan Adams to its management team as Chief Executive Officer. Adams has spent his entire 25-year career in the Transportation & Logistics industry as an investment banker, strategic advisor, board member, operational leader, and consultant. Adams has previously led the Transportation & Logistics Advisory Teams at Houlihan Lokey, Sterne Agee & Leach, and Deloitte. Adams also served as President & Chief Executive Officer of SeaCo Ltd where he led the company from bankruptcy in 2009 until its sale in 2011 to HNA Group of China.
DoubleCheck [LOS ANGELES, CA] announced the appointment of Bill Amelio as Co-Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman. Amelio most recently served as the chief executive officer at Avnet from 2016 to August 2020. Prior to that, Amelio served as Chief Executive Officer of CHC Helicopter from 2010 to 2015, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Lenovo from 2005 to 2009. Amelio began his career at IBM Corporation, followed by executive positions at Allied Signal and National Cash Register.
J.Jill, Inc. [QUINCY, MA] (NYSE:JILL) announced the appointment of Claire Spofford as Chief Executive Officer, effective no later than February 15. She will also become a member of the Board of Directors. Jim Scully will remain Interim CEO to ensure a smooth transition of the role. Spofford most recently served as President of Cornerstone Brands. Prior to being appointed President of Cornerstone Brands, Spofford served as President of Garnet Hill, one of the company’s lifestyle brands. Previously, Spofford was Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of J.Jill, Inc. Spofford held numerous leadership roles at Orchard Brands including Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as Group President for Premium Brands and President of Appleseeds. Prior to Orchard Brands, Spofford served as Vice President, Global Marketing of Timberland.
/dev/color [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced the appointment of Rhonda Allen as Chief Executive Officer. Previously, Allen served as Chief Membership and Partnership Officer for the International Society for Technology in Education. Allen has also served as Vice President of People and Equity at Educators for Excellence and as Vice President for Executive Leadership Team Strategy at Teach for America.
Iris Automation [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced its new CEO, Jon Damush. Co-founder Alexander Harmsen has been promoted to Chairman of the Board. Most recently Damush led new business ventures at Boeing NeXT. Before that Damush was Chief Growth Officer at Insitu, Inc., a Boeing subsidiary. Damush was also a Boeing executive liaison and board observer to SkyGrid, LLC, a joint venture between Boeing and SparkCognition. Prior to Insitu, Damush was the CEO of 2d3 Sensing.
Museum of Science and Industry [CHICAGO, IL] announced that Chevy Humphrey, President and CEO of the Arizona Science Center, will succeed David Mosena as President and CEO of the museum. Mosena is retiring at the end of the year after 23 years leading MSI. Humphrey has served as CEO of the Phoenix-based Arizona Science Center for nearly 15 years. Prior to being named CEO in 2005, Humphrey served in multiple roles with the institution.
BIGtoken [LOS ANGELES, CA] a wholly owned subsidiary of SRAX, Inc. (NASDAQ: SRAX), announced that Malcolm CasSelle, one of its board members, will be appointed chief executive officer. CasSelle has also been on SRAX’s board of directors for over seven years. Previously CasSelle was SVP & GM of digital media at SeaChange Int’l, CEO of Timeline Labs, and GM of Groupon’s joint venture with Tencent in China.
Pilot Chemical Corp. [CINCINNATI, OH] announced that Pamela Butcher will step down from her CEO role effective January 1, 2021. Butcher will remain on the Pilot Board of Directors and serve as a special advisor to the Chairman. Mike Clark, President and COO of the company, will continue in those roles, serving as the company’s top executive and reporting to the Board of Directors. Clark joined Pilot in early 2018.
Old Navy [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced the appointment of Nancy Green as the President and CEO. Green will report to Sonia Syngal, CEO of Gap Inc. and will serve on the company’s senior leadership team. Green has served as interim head of Old Navy since March and was previously President and Chief Creative Officer of the brand. Prior to joining Old Navy in August 2019, Green served as President and CEO of Athleta. Beyond Gap Inc., Green has served as CEO of Shabby Chic. Green also ran the Pottery Barn main division of Williams-Sonoma, Inc as General Manager and Executive Vice President from 2003-2007.
Expansion Therapeutics, Inc. [SAN DIEGO, CA] announced the appointment of Renato Skerlj as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer and President. Skerlj will also serve on the company’s Board of Directors. Most recently, Skerlj served as Chief Scientific Officer for X4 Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where he also was one of the company’s scientific founders and co-inventor of its lead drug candidate. Prior to joining X4, Skerlj held leadership roles in drug discovery and development at Lysosomal Therapeutics where he co-invented LTI-291. Previous to that, Skerlj was interim Head of Small Molecule Discovery at Genzyme and part of the executive team at AnorMED, a publicly traded company that was acquired by Genzyme in 2006.
Benevis [MARIETTA, GA] announced the appointment of Craig Albright as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently Albright was CEO of InHealth Medical Alliance, Inc. Prior to that Albright was CEO of JSA Healthcare Corporation, then a division of DaVita Medical Group. Albright was also a CEO and/or board member for several portfolio companies of Three Arch Partners, including Free and Clear, Inc., Gentiae Clinical Research, Inc.; and U. S. HealthWorks.
American Paradigm Schools [PHILADELPHIA, PA] announced that Deborah “Debbie” Smith will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer for First Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School. Smith began her career with APS in 2016. Prior to her role as Director of Curriculum Instruction for grades K through 12 at APS, Smith served as a school administrator for First Philadelphia. In addition, Smith was a founding teacher of First Philadelphia.
FieldWatch, Inc. [WEST LAFAYETTE, IN] announced that Bob Walters has accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer. Walters has been FieldWatch’s Director of Business Development since joining the company in 2016. Walters replaces Stephanie Regagnon who has taken a leadership role at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center.
Waterfield Technologies [TULSA, OK] announced the appointment of Steve Kezirian as Chief Executive Officer. Kezirian succeeds John Marino, WTI’s former CEO, who will be transitioning to TTEC following TTEC Digital’s acquisition last month of VoiceFoundry, a division of Waterfield Technologies. Marino will remain on the WTI Board of Directors. Kezirian is currently the CEO of Full Potential Solutions, a current WTI partner, and will continue his CEO duties at FPS going forward. Prior to FPS, Kezirian served as the CEO of Goji. Kezirian also held the position of CEO of IBEX Global Solutions and served as COO of CG Technologies prior to IBEX.
PropertyRoom.com [FREDERICK, MD] announced that Andrew J. Nash has transitioned from the role of President and Chief Executive Officer to a member of the Board Of Directors. Aaron Thompson, previously PropertyRoom.com’s Chief Financial Officer, will succeed Nash as its next Chief Executive Officer. Thompson has been with PropertyRoom.com since 2015 as the Chief Financial Officer. Previously, Thompson was the Co-Founder and CFO for Contact Solutions, Vice President, Finance & Administration for iBasis Speech Solutions, and served Deloitte & Touche LLP, American Psych Systems, and other companies in director and senior-level management positions.
SalesDirector.ai, Inc. [IRVINE, CA] announced that Isaac Garcia, former Co-Founder and CEO of Central Desktop and Co-Founder of Upgradebase, has joined as CEO. As part of the transition, Babar Batla will continue on the executive team as the Chief Customer Officer. In 2002, Garcia co-founded and helped lead Upgradebase to acquisition with CNET Networks, Inc., now CBS Interactive. Garcia went on to co-found and lead Central Desktop, Inc. which was acquired in 2014 by Premier Global Services, Inc., now Sirus Capital.
Brookside Flavors & Ingredients LLC [BRANCHBURG, NJ] announced that Rudy Dieperink has joined Brookside as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently Dieperink was President and CEO of FrieslandCampina Ingredients N.A., Inc., owned by FrieslandCampina N.V. Prior to FrieslandCampina Ingredients, Dieperink was COO of Ottens Flavors and held numerous senior executive positions at Quest International.
AssuredPartners [LAKE MARY, FL] announced that it has appointed Thomas E. Riley as Chief Executive Officer. Jim Henderson, the current CEO, will assume the role of Executive Chairman. Riley joined AssuredPartners as the President & Chief Operating Officer at inception. Riley began his career as a certified public accountant with Arthur Young before being recruited by Henderson to be the CFO at Brown & Brown Insurance.
OEConnection LLC [CLEVELAND, OH] has announced the appointment of Patrick C. Brown as its new President and CEO. Brown succeeds Chuck Rotuno who was named Executive Chairman. Most recently Brown served as President and CEO at Innovative Aftermarket Systems. Prior to IAS, Brown was General Manager for commercial prepaid business for Netspend, and prior to Netspend, he co-founded Continental Transfer, which was acquired by Euronet Worldwide.
The Sterno Group [WESTPORT, CT] announced that Don Hinshaw, CEO of the company, has announced his retirement, effective December 31, 2020. Hinshaw will continue to serve as a Board Member and advisor. Craig Carnes, President of the Company’s Foodservice Group, has been named CEO, effective January 1, 2021.
Brinks Home Security [DALLAS-FORT WORTH, TX] (OTC: SCTY) announced that it has appointed William Niles as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 30, 2020. Niles has served as the Company’s interim CEO since February 2020. Niles joined Brinks Home Security in September 2019 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel and was named interim CEO in February 2020. Prior to this, Niles served as Chief Executive Officer of Ascent Capital Group, Inc., the former parent corporation of Brinks Home Security.
Seaborn Networks [BOSTON, MA] announced the appointment of Steve Orlando as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2020. Orlando joins Seaborn from Zayo Group, where he served as the Senior Vice President of Fiber and Network Solutions. Orlando previously held senior leadership positions at CenturyLink, Level 3, Global Crossing and Verizon Business.
IES Holdings, Inc. [HOUSTON, TX] (NASDAQ: IESC) announced the appointment of Jeffrey L. Gendell as Chief Executive Officer of the Company, a role he has held in an interim capacity since July 31, 2020. Gendell, who will also continue as Chairman of the Board, is the managing member and founder of Tontine Associates, L.L.C., which together with its affiliates is the Company’s majority shareholder. Gendell has served as a member of the IES Board since November 2016.
Micron Medical [BOCA RATON, FL] announced the appointment of Mark Landy as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Micron Medical, Landy served in increasingly senior positions at MiMedx, including most recently as Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer. Previously, Landy served as President & Chief Executive Officer of MIV Therapeutics.
S&T Bancorp, Inc. [INDIANA, PA] (NASDAQ: STBA) announced that Todd D. Brice will retire as chief executive officer of S&T and S&T Bank, and as a member of the boards of directors of S&T and S&T Bank, effective March 31, 2021.
Ring Energy, Inc. [MIDLAND, TX] (NYSEAM: REI) announced it has appointed Paul D. McKinney as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. McKinney began his career in 1983 with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Over a 23 year period with Anadarko, McKinney held various positions including his last title as Vice President of Reservoir Engineering, Anadarko Canada Corporation. McKinney also spent 6 years with Apache Corporation, serving as Manager, Corporate Reservoir Engineering and Region Vice President, Gulf Coast Onshore. McKinney’s most recent role was President, CEO and Director of SandRidge Energy.
Pacific Ethanol, Inc. [SACRAMENTO, CA] announced that Neil M. Koehler, the Co-President and Co-Chief Executive Officer, retired from the Company as previously planned, and no longer serves as Co-President and Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Koehler will continue to serve on the Company’s board of directors until November 18, 2020. Michael D. Kandris, who was previously the Co-President and Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Company, became the sole President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Kandris also continues to serve as the Chief Operating Officer and as a director of the Company.
Tyson Foods, Inc. [SPRINGDALE, AR] announced that Noel White stepped down as Chief Executive Officer, and the Company appointed Dean Banks as President and CEO. White was also appointed Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company. Banks has served as President of the Company since December 20, 2019. Prior to joining the Company as President, Banks has served on the Company’s board of directors since 2017 and was a Project Lead and on the Leadership Team at X (formerly Google [x]), an Alphabet Inc. company, since 2016, prior to which he was a managing partner and interim CEO at SEED Ventures since 2015. Banks has also previously served in leadership and consulting roles with IntraCelluar Technologies, now Vergent Bioscience where he remains a board member; Cleveland Clinic Innovations and the Ohio Orthopedic Commercialization Center; OrthoHelix (acquired by Tornier, Inc.); Connective Orthopaedics; Highland Capital Partners; Cytyc Corporation (acquired by Hologic); and Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a Johnson & Johnson company.
