Citi [NEW YORK] CEO Michael Corbat announced that, after 37 years at Citi, including the last eight years as CEO, he plans to retire from Citi and step down from its Board of Directors in February of 2021. The Company has selected Jane Fraser to succeed him as CEO in February, and she has been elected to the Board of Directors. Before this role, Fraser was the Chief Executive Officer of Citi’s Latin American region from 2015 to 2019. From 2013 to 2015, Fraser was the Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Consumer and Commercial Banking and CitiMortgage. From 2009 to 2013, Fraser served as the Chief Executive Officer of Citi’s Private Bank. Prior to that, Fraser was the Global Head of Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions for Citi from 2007 to 2009. Fraser joined Citi in 2004 in the Corporate and Investment Banking division. Before joining Citi, Fraser was a Partner at McKinsey & Company. Fraser started her career at Goldman Sachs in the Mergers & Acquisitions department in London and then worked for Asesores Bursátiles in Madrid, Spain.
Sage Beacon [PALO ALTO, CA] announced that Sarah Gaeta has joined the company as CEO. Prior to joining the team, Gaeta served multiple leadership roles at TiVo Corporation (acquired by Xperi in 2020). Previously, Gaeta also served in leadership positions at Nuance Corporation, Ricoh EWS, Motorola, Plastic Logic and Adobe.
LifeVantage Corporation [SALT LAKE CITY, UT] (NASDAQ: LFVN) announced that Darren Jensen, the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, resigned from his position at the Company on September 3, 2020. Steven Fife, the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed interim Chief Executive Officer to lead the Company.
GO Car Wash [PHOENIX, AZ] announced the appointment of Bill Derwin as Chief Executive Officer. Derwin is replacing Darren Skarecky, prior CEO, who has decided to pursue other opportunities. Most recently, Derwin was Chief Executive Officer of International Car Wash Group. From 2013 to 2016, Derwin was President of Terminix International. Prior to that, during his 11 years at Otis Elevator, Derwin held various roles including Vice President, Global Field Operations and Area Director, United Kingdom and Ireland.
Cronos Group Inc. [TORONTO, ON] (NASDAQ: CRON) announced that it has appointed Kurt Schmidt President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mike Gorenstein has been appointed Executive Chairman. Gorenstein has served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cronos Group since 2016. Schmidt served as director and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Buffalo Company, Ltd. from 2012 through 2016. Prior to joining Blue Buffalo, Schmidt was Deputy Executive Vice President at Nestlé S.A. Schmidt also served as a member of the Company’s Executive Committee. Schmidt joined Nestlé in 2007 as part of its acquisition of Gerber Products from Novartis, where he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Gerber Products Company from 2004 to 2007.
Diffusion Pharmaceuticals Inc. [CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA] (NASDAQ: DFFN) announced that Robert (“Bob”) J. Cobuzzi Jr., who has served as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since January 2020, will succeed David G. Kalergis as President and Chief Executive Officer. Kalergis will retire from his operational responsibilities but continue to serve as Chairman of the Board. Cobuzzi currently serves as a Venture Partner and chairman of the Business Development Board of Sunstone Life Sciences Ventures. From 2005 until 2018, Cobuzzi held senior leadership roles with Endo International PLC, most recently as President of Endo Ventures Ltd. Prior to joining Endo, Cobuzzi’s experience included experience with Adolor Corporation, Centocor Inc. and AstraMerck, Inc./Astra Pharmaceuticals LP.
HelpMeSee [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Saro Jahani as President and CEO, as well as to the Board of Directors. Jahani succeeds Jacob Mohan Thazahathu, who retired after ten years of dedicated service. Most recently, Jahani was the Head of Performance & Capacity Management at E*TRADE.
Vitall Intelligence Inc. [TORONTO, ON] announced that Dianne Carmichael has been named as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Carmichael was President, Payer Markets and Head of Corporate Strategy and Mergers and Acquisitions, at McKesson. Prior to that, Carmichael was the Founder and President of UHN Solutions at the University Health Network, and the Managing Director of MaRS Health Ventures and Innovation. Carmichael previously served as President of Best Doctors Inc.
Midwestern BioAg Holdings LLC [BLUE MOUNDS, WS] announced Michael Birger has been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer for MBA. Previously, Birger worked as Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development for Compass.
Cambia Health Solutions [PORTLAND, OR] announced that after 18 years CEO Mark Ganz will retire at the end of this year. Jared Short, currently president and chief operating officer, will assume the role of CEO effective January 1, 2021. Short joined Cambia in 1999, spent time with BlueCross BlueShield of Montana as its chief marketing officer, and then returned to Cambia as market president for Regence BCBS of Oregon. Short was promoted to COO in 2015 and president and COO in October 2019.
Romeo Power [LOS ANGELES, CA], has named Lionel Selwood, Jr as Chief Executive Officer. Michael Patterson, the founder of Romeo Power will remain Chairman of the Board. Selwood currently serves as the President of Romeo Power and joined the Company in December 2016 and progressed though critical Leadership roles in the Company including Vice President of Engineering Operations and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to his work at Romeo Power, Selwood held various roles of increasing responsibility at SpaceX and Faraday Future. Selwood’s experience also includes time at General Electric
Marquee Brands LLC [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Neil Fiske as the first chief executive officer. Fiske was most recently the chief executive officer of the GAP brand. Prior to the Gap, Fisk served as chief executive officer at Billabong International. Fiske was also chief executive officer at Bath and Body Works.
American Hotel Income Properties REIT LP [VANCOUVER, BC] (TSX: HOT.UN) announced that Jonathan Korol has been appointed its Chief Executive Officer effective October 7, 2020. Korol comes to his new role from SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts, where he has been President since February 2017. Before becoming President, Korol led SilverBirch’s Investment & Portfolio Management team as Senior Vice President. Before joining SilverBirch, Korol co-founded Amadeus Property Partners. Korol will succeed John O’Neill, one of AHIP’s co-founders, who has been Chief Executive Officer since October 2018 and who has advised the Board of his retirement.
Nielsen-Massey Vanillas [WAUKEGAN, IL] announced that Jonathan Thompson has joined the Company as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently Thompson was General Manager for the Isopure Company. Prior to Isopure, Thompson held other executive roles at Glanbia Performance Nutrition and Optimum Nutrition, and also held various roles at Danone and Mars/Masterfoods.
Bardy Diagnostics, Inc. [SEATTLE, WA] announced the appointment of Kevin Hykes as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 31, 2020. Hykes will also become a member of BardyDx’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining BardyDx, Hykes served as the President and CEO of Relievant Medical Systems, Metavention, Inc. and Cameron Health. Hykes has also been an Operating Partner at both Revival Healthcare Capital and Versant Ventures and currently serves as an independent director at Veran Medical Systems and Metavention, Inc.
ON Semiconductor Corporation [PHOENIX, AZ] (NASDAQ: ON) announced that Keith D. Jackson, the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, intends to retire from ON Semiconductor in May 2021. Jackson will continue to remain in his current roles until his retirement and will assist the Board of Directors in its search for his successor. Jackson will also retire as a member of the Board of Directors in connection.
C4 Therapeutics [WATERTOWN, MA] announced the hiring of Andrew Hirsch as the Company’s incoming chief executive officer. Hirsch comes to C4T from Agios Pharmaceuticals where he was chief financial officer and head of corporate development. Marc Cohen, co-founder, interim chief executive officer, and executive chairman will remain as executive chairman of the Company. Prior to his time at Agios, Hirsch served as President and Chief Executive Officer of BIND Therapeutics and Chief Financial Officer at Avila Therapeutics, until its acquisition by Celgene. Prior to that, Hirsch held roles of increasing responsibility during his nearly 10-year tenure at Biogen, including Vice President of Corporate Strategy and M&A and Program Executive for the Tecfidera development team.
Panasas [SUNNYVALE, CA] announced that chief operating officer Tom Shea has succeeded Faye Pairman as president and chief executive officer and member of the board of directors. Shea has more than 20 years of business and engineering leadership in the storage industry, including tenures as CEO of Gear6 and Mirra, Inc.
HotApp Blockchain Inc. [BETHESDA, MD] announced the resignation of Chan Heng Fai as Acting Chief Executive Officer, effective as of September 1, 2020. Chan shall remain as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company. The Company has appointed Lee Wang Kei (“Nathan”) as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. Lee, age 30, previously served as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer from December 2017 until August 2018 and served as the Company’s Chief Technology Officer from June 2017 until August 2018. Lee has served as a System Architect for the Company since August of 2015. Lee has served as Head of Development for DSS Asia Limited since August 2018. Prior to joining the Company, Lee served as Software Project Manager for Appcraft Asia from 2014-2015 and served as Software Architect for myFunboxx from 2012-2014.
Universal Health Services, Inc. [KING OF PRUSSIA, PA] (NYSE:UHS) announced that Alan B. Miller, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Health Services, Inc., will step down as Chief Executive Officer of the company and transition leadership to Marc D. Miller, who currently serves as President, effective January, 2021. Alan will continue to serve as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of UHS. Prior to his promotion to President of UHS, Marc was Senior Vice President of UHS and President of the company’s Acute Care Division. Over his 25+ year tenure with UHS, Marc has held various positions including Eastern Region Vice President of the Acute Care Division; Assistant Administrator of The George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC; Chief Operating Officer of Wellington Regional Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida; and Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Central Montgomery Medical Center, Lansdale, Pennsylvania.
Invatron Systems Corp. [TORONTO, ON] announced the appointment of Tim Spencer as the organization’s next President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Invatron, Spencer spent the last 22 years at Sigma Systems. Initially serving as Sigma’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for 8 years (1996-2004), Spencerheld the role of Chief Executive Officer for 16 years (2004-2020).
Novus Therapeutics, Inc. [IRVINE, CA] announced the resignation of Gregory Flesher as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board. Effective as of September 4, 2020, the Company appointed Jon Kuwahara to serve as the Company’s interim principal executive officer. Kuwahara is the Company’s Senior Vice President Finance & Administration of the Company and serves as the Company’s principal financial and accounting officers.
Logiq, Inc. [NEW YORK] (OTCQX: WEYL) has promoted Tom Furukawa, to the position of chief executive officer. Furukawa previously served as chief technology officer of the company’s DataLogiq subsidiary. Furukawa succeeds Brent Suen, who has been appointed executive chairman of Logiq and who will continue to serve as president. Furukawa has served in senior level management roles for some of the world’s most successful companies, including Yahoo!, IBM Tivoli, The Rubicon Project, and The Enthusiast Network. Furukawa previously served as the chief product officer of ConversionPoint Technologies.
Bancorp 34, Inc. [ALAMOGORDO, NEW MEXICO] (OTCQB: BCTF), the holding company for Bank 34, announced the upcoming retirement of Jill Gutierrez as Co-President and Co-Chief Executive Officer effective September 30, 2020. James T. Crotty has been appointed to serve as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Bancorp 34, Inc. and Bank 34. Crotty joined the Company in July 2020 as Co-President and Co-Chief Executive Officer. Crotty has been appointed to the Board of Directors of both Companies.
TransForce Group [ALEXANDRIA, VA] announced that Dennis Cooke has been named the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding David Broome, the company’s founder, who now serves as Executive Chairman. Cooke most recently was President of Global Fleet Management Solutions for Ryder System, Inc., for nearly a decade. Cooke joined Ryder in 2011, following a 22-year career with General Electric and related companies. Cooke held positions of increasing responsibility with GE Healthcare, including serving as Vice President and General Manager of GE Healthcare’s Global MRI business from 2000 to 2005. Cooke later served as President and CEO of GE Security’s Homeland Protection business.
SeekOps Inc. [AUSTIN, TX] announced Iain Cooper as its new CEO. Cooper previously led technology development, strategy and investment at Schlumberger. Andrew Aubrey, the Company’s Founder and CEO for three and a half years, transitions to a new role as Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.
ModWash [CHATTANOOGA, TN] announced the appointment of John (JT) Thomson as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Thomson co-founded GO Car Wash in January 2019, where he started as the Chief Operating Officer and became the Chief Development Officer and President.
EvidenceCare [NASHVILLE, TN] announced that Bo Bartholomew has joined the company as chief executive officer. Bartholomew is a co-founder, former president and CEO of PharmMD, now AdhereHealth. Bartholomew served as chief revenue officer at Shearwater Health and is a board member at several health tech ventures.
Purewrist [NEW YORK & SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced the appointment of Suresh Palliparambil as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Purewrist, Palliparambil was with NXP Semiconductors as its Senior Director of Business Development and Sales for the Americas. Palliparambil has also held leadership positions with Ondas Networks, Intelleflex, Datalogic and DHL Express.
Swift Sensors [AUSTIN, TX] announced the appointment of Ray Almgren as Chief Executive Officer. Almgren joined the company in 2016 as the Chief Marketing Officer. Almgren was named Chief Operating Officer in 2019. Almgren joined Swift Sensors after a 28-year career at National Instruments (NI), where he served in numerous roles including Director of Engineering, Vice President of Product Marketing, and Vice President of Corporate Marketing.
Weatherford International plc [HOUSTON, TX] (OTC Pink: WFTLF) announced that effective October 12, 2020, it will appoint Girish K. Saligram as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Saligram will also serve as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Upon Saligram’s appointment, Karl Blanchard, Interim CEO, will resume his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Saligram previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Exterran Corporation. Prior to Exterran Corporation, Saligram spent 20 years with GE in positions of increasing responsibility as a functional and business leader in industry sectors across the globe, including his last position as General Manager, Downstream Products & Services for GE Oil & Gas. Prior to that, Saligram led the GE Oil & Gas Contractual Services business.
