American International Group, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: AIG) announced that David McElroy, currently President and Chief Executive Officer of the North American operations of General Insurance, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, General Insurance, and Executive Vice President, AIG. McElroy joined AIG as President and Chief Executive Officer of Lexington Insurance Company in October 2018 and was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer of North America, General Insurance in June 2019. Before joining AIG, McElroy held numerous leadership roles within the insurance industry, including Executive Chairman of Arch Insurance Group Inc. and Vice Chairman of Arch Worldwide Insurance Group.
Kindred [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] has appointed its Chief Operating Officer Marin Tchakarov to CEO and President. Tchakarov joined Kindred in June 2019. Tchakarov has made valuable contributions to start-up, private and public companies such as KPMG, Oracle, Smart Modular Technologies, Second Life, Jawbone and Pebble.
Girl Scouts of the United States [NEW YORK] announced that Sylvia Acevedo is stepping down as CEO. Following Acevedo’s last day on August 15, Judith Batty – lifelong Girl Scout, Board Member, and corporate trailblazer – will be stepping up as interim CEO. Batty began her Girl Scout career as a Brownie and as a member of the Nassau County Council in New York and served two terms on the National Board, this term serving as a member of the Executive Committee and International Commissioner. Prior to joining the Girl Scouts as interim CEO, for nearly thirty years, Batty served as senior legal counsel and an executive for a Fortune 100 corporation.
Cantata Health [AUSTIN, TX] announced that Alan Tillinghast has been named as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Tillinghast was the Chief Strategy and Information Officer for Samaritan Daytop Village. Prior to that, Tillinghast held a variety of different senior executive positions at Netsmart Technologies.
The Guess Corporation Holding Co., Inc. [MIAMI, FL] has appointed Kyra A. Anderson deputy chairman, president and chief executive officer. Prior to TGC, Anderson served as vice-president, assistant secretary and assistant treasurer of a diversified company. Anderson joined TGC initially as vice-president and was promoted to secretary and treasurer. Anderson served as managing director before being appointed to the Board of Directors in 2019. Aside from her business management career, Anderson owns her own record label and has produced pop music.
LOUD Audio, LLC [BOTHELL, WA] announced the appointment of their new CEO, Alex Nelson. Nelson has been with the company since 2006. Nelson became President of Loud’s Retail Brands in 2011 and President of the company in 2018.
The Electric Power Research Institute [PALO ALTO, CA] has selected Arshad Mansoor Chief Executive Officer of EPRI, effective January 1, 2021, following the retirement of current CEO Michael Howard on December 31, 2020. Mansoor will continue in his role as President, a position he has had since November 2019. Mansoor joined EPRI in 2006 as Vice President for Power Delivery and has since held numerous leadership positions throughout EPRI. Immediately prior to his current role, Mansoor served as Senior Vice President of Research and Development.
Myriad Genetics, Inc. [SALT LAKE CITY, UT] (NASDAQ: MYGN) announced the appointment of Paul J. Diaz as President and Chief Executive Officer. Diaz will also serve on the Company’s Board of Directors. Diaz served as the President and Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director and Director of Kindred Healthcare, Inc. for over ten years. Most recently, Diaz was a Partner at Cressey & Company LP. Diaz currently serves on the board of DaVita, Inc. and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Nature Conservancy of Canada [TORONTO, ON] announced it has chosen Catherine Grenier as the organization’s next President and CEO. Grenier currently serves as vice president for national parks operations with Sépaq. Prior to joining Sépaq, Grenier held senior roles with Parks Canada where among her achievements, she led the process to create Canada’s first national urban park, in Toronto’s Rouge Valley.
NMS Labs [HORSHAM, PA] announced that Dan T. Monahan is the now President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Monahan has extensive experience in leadership positions during his past 9 years with Thermo Fisher Scientific. Most recently Monahan was Vice President and General Manager within Unity Lab Services. Prior to that role, Monahan was the Vice President and General Manager of a $1B global distribution business.
BJG Electronics [RONKONKOMA, NY] President & CEO Rick Flora announced his retirement effective 31 Dec. BJG’s president Kent Smith was named as President & CEO. Smith has served as BJG’s president since February 2020.
Sirrus, Inc. [LOVELAND, OH] has named Robert Goodnight its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Kenta Kanaida, President and CEO of Sirrus since January 2020 is taking on a new role as Executive Officer of Innovation and Business Development for Nippon Shokubai, a global chemical company of which Sirrus is a wholly owned subsidiary. Most recently, Goodnight served as the operations manager of a major global chemical producer.
Semiconductor Research Corporation [DURHAM, NC] announced the appointment of Todd Younkin as President and Chief Executive Officer. Younkin is currently Executive Director of SRC’s Joint University Microelectronics Program. Prior to SRC, Younkin held senior technical positions at Intel Corporation. While at Intel, Younkin was an assignee to IMEC, an international semiconductor R&D hub. Ken Hansen, SRC’s current President and CEO, indicated earlier to the Board that he would be retiring in 2020.
Atlantic Carbon Group, Inc. [HAZLETON, PA] announced that it has appointed Jeff Strobel as President and CEO, effective August 1, 2020. In addition, Seth Schwartz, interim CEO, will transition to Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACG. Strobel previously served as Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Arch Resources where he was a member of the senior operational team. Prior to Arch, Strobel was an investment banker at Wells Fargo Corporate and Investment Banking and AG Edwards Capital Markets.
Bobit Business Media [TORRANCE, CA] announced that Paras Maniar has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Maniar joined Bobit from Gannett, where he served as President, Local of the media company. Prior to being President, Local at Gannett, Maniar held the position of Chief Strategy Officer at ReachLocal.
ChaosSearch [BOSTON, MA] announced it has named Ed Walsh Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Walsh most recently served as General Manager of IBM Storage division. Walsh served as GM/SVP at IBM and EMC. In addition, Walsh was CEO of four startups that he led through exponential growth and acquisition, including Avamar and Storwize.
Kingsmen Software [CHARLOTTE, NC] announced that Bill Clerici, Managing Partner, has been selected as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Clerici has been a partner with Kingsmen since the early days of the company—back when Kingsmen Software was named Devellocus and was based in Davidson, NC. Prior to joining Kingsmen, Clerici held technology leadership roles at Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Wachovia.
PIC Therapeutics [NATICK, MA] announced the appointment of Katherine Bowdish as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Bowdish will also join the Board of Directors of PIC. Bowdish was most recently at Sanofi, where she launched and led Sanofi Sunrise and more recently served as Vice President and Head of R&D Strategy. Prior to her leadership roles at Sanofi, Bowdish’s positions include President & CSO, Permeon Biologics; Co-founder, President & CEO, Anaphore; President, Alexion Antibody Technologies and Senior Vice President, Alexion Pharmaceuticals; and Founder, CEO & CSO, Prolifaron, prior to its acquisition by Alexion. Bowdish has served on the Boards of Directors of MyoKardia, Warp Drive Bio, Portal Instruments, Thermalin, Permeon Biologics, Anaphore and Prolifaron, and most recently served as an Observer on the DiCE Molecules Board.
TaskRabbit [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced that it has named Ania Smith as the company’s chief executive officer. Most recently, Smith was Head of Courier Operations at UberEats. Prior to UberEats, Smith held various leadership positions at Airbnb in Operations and Growth capacities. Earlier in her career, Smith was essential to the growth of Walmart eCommerce and Expedia, where she held a variety of leadership positions in Strategy, Operations, and Business Development.
SMART Global Holdings, Inc. [NEWARK, CA] (NASDAQ: SGH) announced that Mark Adams will be joining the company as President and Chief Executive Officer effective August 31, 2020. Adams will also be joining SMART’s Board of Directors. Ajay Shah, SMART’s current President and CEO, will continue to lead the Board as the Executive Chairman. Adams served as the CEO of Lumileds, Inc. from February 2017 until March 2019. Previously, Adams served as President of Micron Technology, Inc. from February 2012 to February 2016. From 2006 to February 2012, Adams served in a number of positions at Micron Technology, Inc., including as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Vice President of Digital Media. Prior to joining Micron Technology, Inc., Adams served as COO of Lexar Media, Inc. in 2006. Adams also served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Creative Labs, Inc. from 2002 to 2006 and held numerous roles at Creative Labs prior to 2002 including five years as General Manager of Latin America. Prior to Creative Labs, Adams spent five years in major account sales at NCR Corporation in their enterprise server business. Adams is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Seagate Technology PLC and Cadence Design Systems, Inc.
Pacific Rim Capital [IRVINE, CA] announced that its long time CEO and Co-Founder, David Mirsky, will be retiring at the end of this year. Marc Mills, President and Co-Founder, will step into the role of CEO. Mirsky will retain his seat on the Board of Directors.
General Assembly [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Lisa Lewin as Chief Executive Officer. Lewin comes to General Assembly from Ethical Ventures, a New York City-based management consulting firm, which she co-founded in 2018. Lewin previously served as Vice President of McGraw-Hill’s professional education group, President of Pearson’s teacher education group, and Managing Director of the publisher’s global learning technology team. In addition to her role at General Assembly, Lewin will continue to serve on the boards of the Wikimedia Foundation and Bank Street College of Education.
Dykema [DETROIT, MI] announced that Len Wolfe will become chairman and chief executive officer for a three-year term commencing January 1, 2021. Wolfe succeeds Peter M. Kellett, who has served as chairman and chief executive officer since 2012. Wolfe first joined Dykema as a summer associate before quickly ascending into leadership roles within the firm. For the last six years, Wolfe has served as a twice-elected member of Dykema’s Executive Board, acting as board Liaison to the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee for the past four years. Prior to his board membership, Wolfe was Director of Dykema’s Regulated Industries Department and Leader of the firm’s Government Policy and Practice Group for nine years.
GutCheck [DENVER, CO] announced that Matt Warta has stepped down from his role as CEO of the company. Rob Wengel, who joined GutCheck’s Board of Directors earlier this year, has been appointed as GutCheck’s new CEO. Prior to joining GutCheck, Wengel served in executive leadership roles with Kantar, BASES, and Nielsen.
Canadian GoldCamps Corp. [TORONTO, ON] (CSE: CAMP) announced that Alex Terentiew has been appointed as the President and CEO of the Company. Terentiew most recently served as the SVP Corporate Development and Investor Relations at Trevali Mining. Prior to Trevali, Terentiew spent over 12 years in the investment industry as a mining and commodity research analyst at Scotiabank, Credit Suisse, Raymond James and most recently at BMO Capital Markets. Prior to his career in research, Terentiew was a licensed Professional Geoscientist in the Province of Ontario.
Global Recovery Initiatives Foundation [WILLIAMSBURG, VA] has named Jan M. Brown as Chief Executive Officer of GRI. Prior to her appointment as CEO in July 2020, Brown was Executive Director of SpiritWorks Foundation Center for the Soul. Brown succeeds Cathie Hartnett, who remains a GRI board member. In addition to her role at GRI, Brown serves as an ordained Deacon in the Episcopal Church, and Archdeacon of the Diocese of Southern Virginia, where she currently serves at Bruton Parish Church in Williamsburg, VA. Brown was appointed by the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church to serve on its Commission on Impairment and Leadership.
Dominion Water Reserves Corp. [MONTREAL, QC] announced that Marie-Claude Bourgie will assume the role of interim Chief Executive Officer of the Company. To facilitate this change, Norman Forrest has resigned as the Company’s President and CEO, member of the Company’s board of directors, effective August 7, 2020.
Vince Holding Corp. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: VNCE) announced that Brendan Hoffman, Chief Executive Officer of the Company and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, notified the Board of his decision to resign from his positions, effective August 28, 2020, to become President and CEO successor of a multi-billion dollar branded footwear and apparel company. The Board has appointed David Stefko, as Interim Chief Executive Officer until a permanent replacement is appointed. Stefko served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of the Company since September 2015, and will continue to do so during this time. Prior to joining the Company, Stefko served as Group Chief Financial Officer at Sun Capital since September 2011.
NextRoll, Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced Robin Bordoli as the new CEO, succeeding Toby Gabriner in the role. Most recently Bordoli has served as the President of the RollWorks business unit for the last 18 months. Prior to NextRoll, Bordoli also served as CEO at Figure Eight and held multiple leadership roles at Marketo, including incubating and growing the B2C business unit. Bordoli will continue to serve as President for RollWorks while actively looking for a new President for AdRoll.
Rudi’s Organic Bakery and Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery [BOULDER, CO] has named Brian McGuire as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. For the past 13 years, McGuire has had increasing responsibility at SR Originals, a premium frozen desserts company based in Denver, overseeing rapid growth in the company. For the past 12 years, McGuire served as company President and led development of a long-term retail and foodservice strategy.
Magnitude Software [AUSTIN, TX] announced the appointment of Jeffrey Shoreman as its new chief executive officer. Shoreman previously served as president and CEO of Eze Software. During his tenure at Eze, Shoreman held a number of leadership positions including chief operating officer and chief technology officer. Prior to Eze, Shoreman worked for Andersen Consulting in its technology practice. Shoreman replaces former CEO Christopher Ney, who left the business earlier this year.
Gastro Care Partners [DENVER, CO] announced Jeff Rinkov as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Rinkov served as Senior Vice President of EyeCare Partners. Prior to EyeCare Partners, Rinkov served as president of Rinkov Eyecare Centers.
McKesson Corporation [IRVING, TX] announced the appointment of Rebecca McKillican as Chief Executive Officer, McKesson Canada. McKillican succeeds Domenic Pilla, who announced his plans to retire from the company in late 2019. McKillican joined McKesson three years ago with the acquisition of Well.ca. McKillican’s background also includes senior roles at New York City-based Kohlberg, Kravis & Roberts, and strategy consulting with McKinsey & Company.
Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. [MENLO PARK, CA] (NASDAQ: PACB) announced the appointment of Christian O. Henry as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective as of September 14, 2020. Henry has served on the Board of Directors since 2018, including as Chairman of the Board since March 2020.
