Dominion Energy [RICHMOND, VA] (NYSE: D) announced that Thomas F. Farrell, II, chairman, president and chief executive officer, will become the company’s executive chair, effective Oct. 1, 2020. Also, effective that date, Robert M. Blue, executive vice president and co-chief operating officer, will be promoted to president and chief executive officer. Farrell joined Dominion Energy in 1995, was promoted to president and CEO in 2006 and added the role of chairman in 2007. Blue joined Dominion Energy in 2005 and has held a succession of services and operational executive roles since his promotion to officer in 2007, including vice president-State and Federal Affairs; senior vice president-Public Policy and Corporate Communications; senior vice president-Regulation, Law, Energy Solutions, & Policy; president-Dominion Virginia Power; and his current role as executive vice president and co-chief operating officer. Prior to joining Dominion Energy, Blue served as counselor to the Governor and director of policy for Virginia Governor Mark Warner, as an attorney and partner at then-Hogan & Hartson, and as a law clerk for the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Virginia.
Aura [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] has named Anne M. Myong as Interim CEO. Myong succeeds James Gutierrez who founded Aura and will remain on Aura’s board. Prior to joining Aura, Myong served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Walmart’s Global eCommerce business. Myong joined Walmart in 2011 as Chief Administrative Officer of its retail operation in China and became CFO the following year. Myong started her career with McKinsey & Company. Myong also serves on the boards of Align Technology and Goodwill Industries International.
Infinera Corporation [SUNNYVALE, CA] (NASDAQ: INFN) announced that Tom Fallon will be stepping down as Infinera’s CEO and David Heard, the Company’s Chief Operating Officer, will be succeeding him. Heard has over 25 years of industry experience in executive leadership roles that span a wide breadth of technology companies, including JDS Uniphase, BigBand Networks (now part of CommScope), Somera (now part of Jabil), Tekelec (now part of Oracle), and Lucent Technologies (now part of Nokia).
Red Oak Capital Group [GRAND RAPIDS, MI] announced Gary Bechtel has joined the firm as Chief Executive Officer. Bechtel previously served as President of Money360. Prior to joining Money360, Bechtel was Chief Lending/Originations Officer for CU Business Partners, LLC.
Code Ninjas [HOUSTON, TX] has named Justin Nihiser its new CEO. Nihiser succeeds Co-Founder David Graham. Prior to Code Ninjas, Nihiser was COO of Brain Balance Achievement Centers. Before that, Nihiser’s journey in franchising began over a decade ago as a general manager of an individual School of Rock location.
Scientific Drilling International [HOUSTON, TX] announced that the company has named Pamela S. Pierce as its Chief Executive Officer and President effective July 31, 2020, a position she has held on an interim basis since May 2020. Pierce started her career as an offshore drilling engineer with ARCO and served in numerous drilling and production positions of increasing responsibility. When ARCO formed Vastar Resources, Pierce led the Offshore Business Unit. Later Pierce led Vastar’s Business Development function responsible for mergers and acquisitions. Pierce joined SDI’s Board of Directors in June 2011 and was Lead Director for the past year; she will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors. Pierce is also a member of Laredo Petroleum, Inc. and Shawcor Ltd. Boards of Directors.
LexisNexis® Risk Solutions [ATLANTA, GA] part of RELX, announced the appointment of Josh Schoeller as chief executive officer of its Health Care analytics and insights business unit. Since 2013, Schoeller has been a key executive within the company, most recently serving as senior vice president and general manager for the Health Care business. Prior to this role, Schoeller served as the chief solution architect and was part of the executive leadership team at Enclarity, which was acquired by LexisNexis Risk Solutions in 2013. Prior to Enclarity, Schoeller spent 15 years at FICO where he held a variety of leadership roles in IT, sales, and operations.
Zelis [BEDMINSTER, NJ] announced that R. Andrew Eckert has joined the company as its new Chief Executive Officer. Eckert has served as CEO of some of the healthcare industry’s most notable and impactful healthcare technology companies, including TriZetto Corporation, Eclipsys Corporation, and Valence Health. Immediately prior to joining Zelis, Eckert was the CEO of Acelity, which was sold to 3M in October 2019. Earlier in his career, Eckert served as CEO of CRC Health Group, a leading behavioral health provider owned by Bain Capital, and SumTotal Systems. Eckert serves on the Board of Directors of Becton Dickinson, and as Chair of the Board of Directors of Varian Medical Systems.
Monarch Medical Technologies [CHARLOTTE, NC] announced that Raymie McFarland will serve as its new President & Chief Executive Officer. Brian Duffy and Christophe Mallard, two of Monarch Medical Technologies’ Board members, will relinquish their respective roles as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Interim President, turning over management of the company to McFarland. McFarland spent the last nine years with Glytec, most recently as Chief Innovation & Outcomes Officer. Prior to Glytec, McFarland was President of Mantra Healthcare Solutions.
AxoProtego Therapeutics [GLEN BURNIE, MD] has announced that Daniel M Jorgensen has joined as CEO. Jorgensen is an accomplished physician executive with 22+ years of industry experience in roles of increasing responsibility, in small and large companies.
Affinitiv [CHICAGO, IL] has named Sid Nair as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Nair will also join the company’s Board. Nair joins Affinitiv from Rackspace where he was the EVP & GM of the Americas region. Prior to Rackspace, Nair was the EVP, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for Cox Automotive. Prior to Cox, Nair held executive leadership roles at DXC Technology, Dell Services, and Wipro Technologies.
Prophix Software [MISSISSAUGA, ON] announced President and Chief Operations Officer Alok Ajmera has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Ajmera steps into the CEO role previously held by founder Paul Barber, who remains with Prophix as Executive Chairman. Ajmera will also retain his Presidency title.
Astute, Inc. [COLUMBUS, OH] announced the appointment of Mark Zablan as Chief Executive Officer. Zablan most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer at Sitecore, and prior to that as Adobe’s President of EMEA.
InnovHeart s.r.l. [NEWTON, MA] announced the appointment of J. Brent Ratz to the role of Chief Executive Officer of the company and executive member of the Board of Directors. Ratz was the founding CEO, President and COO of CardiAQ Valve Technologies, which he co-founded in 2006 and led for the next 9 years until the company was acquired by Edwards Lifesciences (EW) in 2015. Ratz is also the co-founder of inQB8 Medical Technologies where he will continue to serve as Managing Director.
BlackLine, Inc. [LOS ANGELES, CA] (NASDAQ: BL) announced that it has selected Marc Huffman as chief executive officer, effective January 1st, 2021. Huffman currently serves as president and chief operating officer. Therese Tucker, who has served as CEO since founding BlackLine in 2001, will continue to serve on the company’s board as executive chair. Huffman joined BlackLine in early 2018 as chief operating officer. Huffman was named president in February 2020. Prior to BlackLine, Huffman served as president of worldwide sales and distribution at NetSuite.
Unifiller Systems Inc. [VANCOUVER, BC] announced the appointment of Martin Murphy as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 10th, 2020. Murphy was previously the President of Raute North America.
Can You Imagine LLC [MARIETTA, GA] announced the appointment of Jeff Forman as Chief Executive Officer. Forman joins the company from FTI Consulting where he served as Managing Director in their Performance Improvement practice. Forman has 30 years of experience in both industry and consulting including other leading positions with AlixPartners, A.T. Kearney, and CIBA Vision. Forman succeeds founder Jennifer Verdecchia who remains on the Board of Directors as Chairwoman.
McLane Company, Inc. [TEMPLE, TX] announced that Grady Rosier will retire as president and CEO, effective August 28, 2020. Tony Frankenberger will assume leadership of McLane as president and CEO on August 28, 2020, while maintaining his responsibilities as president of McLane Grocery. Frankenberger has worked for McLane for more than 35 years. Frankenberger began his career with McLane as a washer, fueler, and mechanic in the transportation department and worked his way up in the company.
DASAN Zhone Solutions, Inc. [PLANO, TX] (NASDAQ: DZSI) announced it has appointed Charlie Vogt as president, CEO and director effective August 1. Vogt joins DZS from ATX Networks. Vogt succeeds Yung Kim, who has retired after a successful 40-year international telecommunications career and nearly four years at the helm of DZS. Prior to ATX, Vogt spent five years as president and CEO of Imagine Communications. Before joining Imagine Communications, Vogt was president and CEO of GENBAND (today known as Ribbon Communications). Vogt’s professional career has also included leadership roles at Taqua (Tekelec), Lucent Technology (Nokia), Ascend Communications (Lucent), ADTRAN, Motorola and IBM.
American Commercial Barge Line [JEFFERSONVILLE, IN] has named Mike Ellis, as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors, effective August 17, 2020. This announcement follows an earlier announcement that Mark Knoy will retire from his positions as President and Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board. Prior to joining ACBL, Ellis was Executive Vice President and Marine Group Leader for Savage Services Corporation until Savage sold the Inland Business to Kirby in April of 2020. Prior to joining Savage, Ellis was President, Board Member and part owner of Settoon Towing, LLC. Prior to joining Settoon, Ellis held various leadership positions with Bollinger Shipyards including EVP/CFO and EVP/COO.
ServiceMaster Global Holdings, Inc. [MEMPHIS, TN] (NYSE: SERV) announced that Brett T. Ponton will become its new Chief Executive Officer, on or before October 1, 2020. Ponton will also join the ServiceMaster Board of Directors when he begins his tenure as CEO. Naren Gursahaney, who has served as Interim CEO since January 2020, will continue in his role as Chairman of ServiceMaster’s Board. Since 2017, Ponton has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Monro, Inc. Prior to joining Monro, Ponton served as CEO of American Driveline Systems (2013 – 2017). Before American Driveline, Ponton was CEO of Heartland Automotive (2009 – 2013). Previously, Ponton served as Managing Director, Asia-Pacific, for Veyance Technologies. Ponton began his career at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., where he rose through the ranks over 16 years to Vice President, Marketing. While at Goodyear, Ponton served as Vice President & General Manager, Goodyear Retail.
Mellitus Health, Inc. [LOS ANGELES, CA] has named Steve Wubker as its new chief executive officer, effective July 27, 2020. In 2000 Wubker became President and CEO of Transaction Data Systems. Wubker has served as President of the American Pharmacy Alliance and Vice President of the American Society for the Automation of Pharmacy, and he has served on the advisory boards of RelayHealth, Change Healthcare, and Wolters Kluwer. Wubker has also been a member of the National Community Pharmacy Association and the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs.
Nemours Children’s Health System [WILMINGTON, DL] announced the appointment of Mark Mumford as Chief Executive of Delaware Valley Operations, effective September 1, 2020. Since 2013, Mumford has served as the Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Prior, Mumford held executive and senior financial positions with corporations such as P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, PetSmart, and MicroAge.
Allston Holdings LLC [CHICAGO, IL] announced that it has appointed Nancy Laethem Stern as Chief Executive Officer. Carlton Jones, who has served as CEO January 2011 through September 2012 and again from February 2015 through the present, will now serve as Executive Vice President, Head of Trading. Stern joined Allston in 2013 and most recently served as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. Prior to joining the firm, Stern served as an attorney and partner at two leading national law firms: Katten Muchin Rosenman and previously Gardner Carton & Douglas, now part of Faegre Baker Daniels, for a combined 17 years. tern began her law career as a clerk for the Honorable Robert H. Cleland, U.S. District Judge in the Eastern District of Michigan.
The Great Hearts America [DALLAS, TEXAS & PHOENIX, AZ] has appointed founding Chairman Jay Heiler as Chief Executive Officer of the organization. Currently a member of Phoenix law firm BeusGibertMcGroder, Heiler will transition to Great Hearts beginning August 3. Outgoing CEO Wade Dyke was recently appointed President of on-line higher education provider American Public University.
IES Holdings, Inc. [HOUSTON, TX] (NASDAQ: IESC) announced that Jeffrey L. Gendell has been appointed as Interim Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Gary S. Matthews, who has resigned as Chief Executive Officer to pursue other interests. Matthews has also resigned from the Company’s Board of Directors. Gendell, who will also continue as Chairman of the Board, is the managing member and founder of Tontine Associates, L.L.C., which together with its affiliates is the Company’s majority shareholder.
CBANC Network, Incorporated [AUSTIN, TX] announced that it has appointed Tom Ferries as President and Chief Executive Officer. Ferries is taking over from Bryan Koontz who will remain on the CBANC Board of Directors after having served as the company’s President and CEO since 2014. Ferries is also joining the CBANC Board of Directors. Ferries is a seasoned banking executive, having most recently served as CEO of Banking Services for the AAA Bank in Michigan, which he helped launch in 2014. Prior to AAA, Ferries served in other executive banking roles, including SVP, Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer for Auto and Student Lending at JP Morgan Chase in New York, VP of Product and Consumer Lending for USAA Federal Savings Bank, and Director of Global Commercial Risk for Ford Motor Credit Company.
Pelican Products, Inc. [TORRANCE, CA] announced the appointment of Phil Gyori as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Gyori has served as Group President of Pelican since joining in 2016. Gyori succeeds Lyndon Faulkner, who becomes Executive Chairman after serving as Chief Executive Officer since 2006. Gyori has as Group President of Pelican since 2016. Prior to Pelican Gyori spent 16 years as an executive at Bushnell, where he was the general manager for the North American Division. Before joining Bushnell, Gyori served in leadership roles at Nike, Procter & Gamble, and The Quaker Oats Company.
SlashNext [PLEASANTON, CA] announced that Patrick Harr has joined the company as CEO. Prior to SlashNext, Harr was CEO of Panzura. Harr has held senior executive and GM positions at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, VMware, BlueCoat (formerly CacheFlow) and was CEO of multiple security and storage start-ups, including Nirvanix (acquired by Oracle), Preventsys (acquired by McAfee) and Sanera (acquired by McDATA).
Liberated Syndication Inc. [PITTSBURGH, PA] (OTCQB: LSYN) announced that Chief Executive Officer Chris Spencer has informed the Board of his decision to step down as CEO and Board Member. Spencer has served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from the Company’s formation via a spin-off in 2016. Spencer led the successful acquisition of web hosting company Pair Networks in late 2017. Spencer was CEO and Founder of Liberated Syndication’s predecessor company, Wizzard Software, in 1996.
Concertium [TAMPA, FL] announced that Carren Rieger has been promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer, replacing Pratik Roychoudhury, who is stepping down to pursue other interests. Rieger is being promoted from her existing positions as both Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Rieger has run the daily operations of BambinOz as CEO. Reiger has jointly been both CFO & COO for emerging technology companies in the past, including the last 9 months at Concertium.
