PRIDE Industries [ROSEVILLE, CA] announced that it has appointed Jeffery Dern to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Dern was previously the President of the company, a role he will retain as he takes on his expanded duties. Dern was appointed President in 2018 by former CEO Michael Ziegler who passed away in May 2020. Dern joined the nonprofit in 2008, and has held a variety of roles including Chief Financial Officer from 2016-2018.
LAPP North America [FLORHAM PARK, NJ] has announced the appointment of Jay Lahman as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining LAPP, Lahman served as Senior Vice President of Electrical Raceway Sales at Atkore International and spent 14 years at General Cable U.S, including a role as Vice President and General Manager for General Cable in Barcelona, Spain.
Monument Chemical [INDIANAPOLIS, IN] announced that Paul Raymond has been named Chief Executive Officer. Raymond most recently served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Board Member at Sonneborn. Prior to that, Raymond was President of the Ashland Inc. Water Technologies business.
EZCORP, Inc. [AUSTIN, TX] (NASDAQ: EZPW) announced that Jason A. Kulas has been named Chief Executive Officer and has been elected to the Board of Directors. Kulas will succeed Stuart I. Grimshaw, who will remain with the Company as Special Advisor to the CEO and accordingly has resigned from his position on the Board of Directors. Kulas joined the Company as President and Chief Financial Officer in February 2020. Prior to joining EZCORP, Kulas held a variety of executive-level finance and operations positions, most recently with Santander Consumer USA Inc., where he served in a series of roles, including Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Financial Officer and a member of the board of directors from 2007 to 2017.
TPx Communications [LOS ANGELES, CA] announced that it has named Don Joos as Chief Executive Officer. Joos succeeds Joe Cozzolino, who has served as interim CEO during the board’s search for a CEO. Cozzolino will continue to serve as Executive Chairman of the Board of TPx. Most recently, Joos served as the CEO of PGi. Prior to joining PGi in 2017, Joos served as President and CEO of ShoreTel.
GTT Communications, Inc. [MCLEAN, VA] (NYSE: GTT) announced that GTT’s Chief Revenue Officer Ernie Ortega has been named as the interim CEO while the Board continues its search for a new CEO. Ortega joined GTT in June 2019 as division president, Americas. Prior to joining GTT, Ortega was CEO of Towerstream and previously held senior executive roles at Colt Technology Services, Cogent, and XO Communications, after beginning his career at MCI.
Axiom [NEW YORK] announced that David McVeigh has joined the company as its next Chief Executive Officer. McVeigh succeeds Elena Donio, who will remain with the company as a member of its Board of Directors. Most recently, McVeigh served as Gartner, Inc.’s Executive Vice President, Global Business Sales, and as a member of its operating committee. Prior to Gartner, McVeigh was a Managing Director at Hellman & Friedman, an Operating Partner at The Blackstone Group, and a Partner at McKinsey & Company.
Children’s Cancer Research Fund [MINNEAPOLIS, MN] announced that the company has selected Daniel Gumnit as Chief Executive Officer, effective August 10, 2020. Gumnit comes to CCRF after nine years as the chief executive officer of People Serving People Charities and People Serving People. Previously, Gumnit served as Twin Cities’ PBS’s Director of National Program Development.
VisionCare, Inc. [SARATOGA, CA] announced that Thomas Ruggia has been appointed as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Before joining VisionCare, Ruggia spent five years at Johnson & Johnson, working at Johnson & Johnson Vision and The Janssen Pharma Co, respectively. Most recently at Johnson & Johnson Vision, Ruggia was the Vice President WW Customer Experience and Ocular Surface Disease. Previously, Ruggia spent fourteen years at Alcon, a division of Novartis.
Agricor Laboratories and Botanacor Laboratories [DENVER, CO] jointly announced that Carl Craig has assumed the role of CEO of both companies. Craig had been the companies’ COO. Craig served as Technology Director for Brown and Caldwell Laboratories; Regional QA Director for Quanterra Laboratories; and Corporate VP and COO for Microbial Solutions at Charles River Laboratories. Craig also served as President of Environmental Resource Associates, a Waters company, and he was founder and GM of Pharmaceutical Resource Associates.
Marrone Bio Innovations, Inc. [DAVIS, CA] (NASDAQ: MBII) announced the appointment of Kevin Helash as its new chief executive officer. Helash will be appointed to serve as a member of the board of directors. Helash comes to Marrone Bio from Agrinos AS. Prior to joining Agrinos, Helash was a vice president and corporate officer with Agrium. Helash replaces Pamela Marrone, founder of Marrone Bio, who announced her intention to retire as CEO in December 2019. Marrone will remain with Marrone Bio as CEO until Helash’s first day of employment, and thereafter will continue to serve as a non-employee director of the company.
Mercy Health Services [BALTIMORE, MD] announced that David N. Maine is the new President & CEO, effective July 1st, 2020. Maine has served as Executive Vice President for Mercy Health Services since October 2019. Prior to assuming the Executive Vice President role, Maine was Executive Vice President of Mercy’s Physician Enterprise. Maine has also served as President of Medical Staff; as Senior Vice President of Clinical Transformation, leading Mercy’s efforts to launch the SurgCenter of Towson; and since 2007, as Medical Director of The Center for Interventional Pain Medicine at Mercy.
The DiSTI Corporation [ORLANDO, FL] announced that the Company has appointed John Hayward as Chief Executive Officer. Before joining The DiSTI Corporation, Hayward held several senior leadership roles at TRU Simulation + Training, including Senior Vice President and General Manager. Before TRU, Hayward worked as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Textron Systems Support Solutions.
Melwood [UPPER MARLBORO, MD] announced the appointment of Larysa Kautz as Interim President & CEO effective July 1, 2020, following Cari DeSantis’ departure for her planned retirement. Kautz has served on Melwood’s C-Suite since 2014 and is one of Melwood’s most senior and seasoned leaders. Kautz currently serves on the Virginia DBVI State Rehabilitation Council and the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board. Kautz has previously volunteered as a consultant for President Obama’s Office of White House Counsel and Virginia Governor Northam’s Transition Team on the Policy Council on Workforce Development.
St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children [WEST READING, PA] announced that Donald Mueller will become the new Chief Executive Officer for St. Christopher’s, effective July 27, 2020. Mueller joins St. Christopher’s from his role as CEO of Children’s Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Prior to Erlanger, Mueller served in multiple roles on the executive leadership team for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Emory University for 15 years.
Signant Health [ PHILADELPHIA, PA] announced the appointment of Roger Smith as Chief Executive Officer. Smith succeeds John Hubbard who served as interim CEO of Signant Health and will now become Chairman of the company. Smith joins Signant from PPD where he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Accelerated Enrollment Solutions. Prior to joining PPD in 2013 through its acquisition of Acurian, Smith held a number of senior management positions for Acurian, Kozmo.com and Sony Corporation.
MediaKind [FRISCO, TX] announced the appointment of Matt McConnell as CEO. McConnell was previously Senior Vice President and General Manager of Comcast Technology Solutions, a global division of Comcast Cable. Former CEO Angel Ruiz takes up the position of Chairman of the Board.
AuditBoard [LOS ANGELES, CA] announced the appointment of Scott Arnold as President and CEO. Arnold was most recently President, Shutterfly Enterprise. Prior to joining Shutterfly Enterprise, Arnold served as President and CEO of AppSense. Prior to AppSense, Arnold served in CEO and COO roles at MarketTools and Borland Software. Arnold began his professional career at McKinsey, where he spent 13 years working with some of the world’s largest technology clients.
Copperstate Farms Management, LLC [PHOENIX, AZ] announced Aaron Chamberlin as CEO of the company’s Good Things Coming edibles brand. Chamberlin also serves as the owner of Arizona restaurants Phoenix Public Market Café and Taco Chelo.
Identify Relevance, Inc. [LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA] announced that Darrell Denny has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer. Denny worked for a decade each at Miller Freeman, Penton Media and, most recently, Emerald Expositions where he was Executive Vice President of the company’s eCommerce, Sports and Apparel group of trade shows, conferences, websites, print and digital publications.
Appriss Inc. [LOUISVILLE, KY] announced Krishnan (Krish) Sastry‘s promotion to President and Chief Executive Officer. The company’s founder and current President and CEO, Michael Davis, will remain engaged as its Executive Chairman. Sastry will assume the President and CEO position as of August 3rd, 2020 and will serve in his current position as Chief Operating Officer until then. Krish joined Appriss as its Executive Vice President of Products in 2013 and has held multiple senior executive positions in the company. Krish later served as Chief Strategy Officer before becoming the President of Appriss’s Retail division. In 2018, Krish was appointed Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Appriss, Krish held senior executive positions at Privia Health; Carewise Health; BEA Systems and Abilizer Inc.
Mindbody [SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA] announced that the company’s co-founder Rick Stollmeyer is transitioning from the role of chief executive officer to executive chair and that the Mindbody Board of Directors has appointed current president Josh McCarter to CEO, effective August 1, 2020. McCarter is an experienced leader as the co-founder and former CEO of Booker Software, a cloud-based spa and salon business management company that Mindbody acquired in 2018. After the acquisition, McCarter joined Mindbody as chief strategy officer and was elevated to president the following year.
The Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area [WASHINGTON, DC] announced Andrew Flagel as its new president and CEO. Flagel most recently served as vice president for Advancement and Member Engagement at the Association of American Colleges and Universities.
The Salesians of Don Bosco [BELLFLOWER, CA] have appointed Brian Wickstrom as President and Chief Executive Officer of St. John Bosco High School. Wickstrom joins St. John Bosco High School after an extensive career in higher education and athletics administration, most recently as the Director of Athletics at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.
DuPage Medical Group [DOWNERS GROVE, IL] announced the appointment of Steve Nelson as its Chief Executive Officer, effective July 6, 2020. Nelson was previously Chief Executive Officer of UnitedHealthcare, a division of UnitedHealth Group.
TIFF Investment Management [RADNOR, PA] named its current President, Kane Brenan, as the firm’s new CEO. Brenan, who was previously a Partner at Goldman Sachs where he held the position of Global Head and Co-Chief Investment Officer of the Global Portfolio Solutions Group, became TIFF’s President earlier in 2020 and was named CEO on July 1st. Kane succeeds Dick Flannery in the CEO position, as Flannery moves into the role of Executive Chairman after 17 years at TIFF.
