Cox Media Group [ATLANTA, GA] announced the appointment of Daniel York as President and Chief Executive Officer. Steve Pruett will continue to serve as Executive Chairman of CMG. York most recently served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer of AT&T and its subsidiary, DIRECTV. Prior to that, he served as President of Content and Advertising Sales at AT&T. Prior to joining AT&T, York served as Senior Vice President of Programming and Development at In Demand Networks, LLC. York started his career at Home Box Office (HBO), where he held various management positions, including Vice President and General Manager at HBO/Time Warner Sports. York has served on the Boards of numerous companies, including the Tennis Channel and the Game Show Network, among others, and he currently serves on the Board of the T. Howard Foundation.
EpicentRx [TORREY PINES, CA] announced the appointment of Tony Reid as the company’s chief executive officer. Reid is a co-founder and formerly chief scientific officer of EpicentRx. Reid is also an oncologist at Rebecca and John Moores Cancer Institute at UCSD.
Charles & Colvard, Ltd. [RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC] (NASDAQ: CTHR) announced that it appointed Don O’Connell to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2020. O’Connell will also join the Company’s Board of Directors. O’Connell, who most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President, Supply Chain of Charles & Colvard, succeeds Suzanne Miglucci, who resigned as President and CEO and as a member of the Board of Directors, effective June 1, 2020. Prior to joining Charles & Colvard, O’Connell served as Executive Vice President Operations & Global Jewelry Business Solutions at OFT Investment & Management Group, and spent seven years with the Richline Group, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, as Vice President, Operations & Procurement, both Foreign & Domestic, and served on Richline’s executive steering committee and acquisition team. Prior to that, O’Connell was Vice President, Operations at Aurafin’s gem group divisions in Taramac, FL and La Paz, Bolivia as well as Vice President, Jewelry Manufacturing & Contracting with OCON Enterprise.
IRADIMED CORPORATION [WINTER SPRINGS, FL] (NASDAQ: IRMD) announced that it has appointed Roger Susi to resume his duties as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer after the departure of Leslie McDonnell, who separated from the Company effective May 28, 2020.
Dine Brands Global, Inc. [GLENDALE, CA] announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Steve Joyce’s employment agreement expires February 1, 2021.
SCB Global Java Holdings, LLC [DENVER, CO] announced the appointment of Robert Novick as Chief Executive Officer and the acquisition of White Tale Coffee. Novick joins SCB Global Java after co-founding and transacting Envision Business Consulting.
Lumber Liquidators [RICHMOND, VA] (NYSE: LL) announced that Charles E. Tyson has been named President and Chief Executive Officer and has been appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors, effective May 27, 2020. Tyson was appointed Interim President and Principal Executive Officer on February 5, 2020. Tyson joined the Company in June 2018 as Chief Customer Experience Officer. Prior to joining Lumber Liquidators, Tyson served in several key senior roles for Advance Auto Parts, Inc. for over nine years, most recently as Executive Vice President-Merchandising, Marketing and Supply Chain. Prior to Advance Auto Parts, Tyson served in a variety of senior roles at Office Max and Office Depot.
REcolorado® [GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO] announced that Gene Millman has been named the company’s chief executive officer, effective July 1. Millman comes to REcolorado with more than 30 years of real estate experience. Currently, Millman is the CEO of the Northern Nevada Regional MLS. Prior to leading NNRMLS, Millman served on the Board of Directors for TREND and was Chairman from 2013-2016. Millman also served on the MAPS Task Force/Vision Team/MLS Evolved to successfully form Bright MLS and was Vice Chair of the Bright Board of Directors.
DCO Energy and DB Energy Assets [MAYS LANDING, NJ] announced Gary Fromer will become Chief Executive Officer. DCO’s founder Frank DiCola will retire from his role as co-Chief Executive Officer and assume the role of Executive Chairman of the Board for DCO Energy and DB Energy Assets. Fromer has served as co-Chief Executive Officer of DCO Energy with DiCola over the past several months, and has had a long career prior to joining DCO, having served as a senior executive at Constellation Energy, as CEO of CPower, Inc. and as a senior executive at SAP.
Logically [PORTLAND, OR] has named Mike Cowles as its Chief Executive Officer, succeeding company co-founder Christopher Claudio. Chris will remain on the Board of Directors and continue to serve the company in a business development role. Cowles was most recently the CEO of The Rainmaker Group and was with the company for over three years. Cowles began his career as a technology consultant with Andersen Consulting (Accenture). Cowles previously served as SVP and General Manager of U.S. Financial Services for SAP. He also spent 14 years in various leadership roles with Ariba, most recently as SVP and General Manager of North America.
Kinnate Biopharma Inc. [SAN DIEGO, CA] announced the appointment of Nima Farzan as Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors. Farzan most recently served as president and CEO of PaxVax. Company co-founder and former CEO Stephen Kaldor has been appointed Chairman. Prior to PaxVax, Farzan held a series of roles with increasing responsibility at Novartis AG, most recently as Vice President of US Marketing in the company’s Vaccines & Diagnostics division. Prior to Novartis, Farzan worked at DoubleTwist and was a consultant with Boston Consulting Group. Farzan is currently a member of the Keros Therapeutics Board of Directors.
Houston International Insurance Group, Ltd. [HOUSTON, TX] announced that it has appointed Andrew Robinson as Chief Executive Officer of HIIG. Robinson takes over from HIIG’s founder and outgoing CEO, Stephen L. Way, who has resigned as Chairman of the Board but will continue to serve as a Director of the Company. Robinson’s career includes ten years with The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc., where he was President of Specialty Insurance, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Risk Officer and subsequently at Crawford & Co. where he was Global Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice-President. Prior to his time at Hanover, Robinson was the managing partner of Global Insurance at Diamond (now PWC) Consulting, and most recently as Executive in Residence and Senior Advisor at Oak HC/FT.
The George & Barbara Bush Foundation [COLLEGE STATION, TX] announced that David B. Jones is retiring as Chief Executive Officer effective June 5, 2020. Andrew Card, long-time Foundation board member and former White House Chief of Staff, will serve as Interim CEO.
Naf Naf [CHICAGO, IL] announced it has named Greg Willman as the company’s Chief Executive Officer effective June 15. Gary Beisler, who has been acting as interim Chief Executive Officer, will continue as Chairman of the Board for the company.
Delcath Systems, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: DCTH) announced that the company appointed John Purpura as interim Chief Executive Officer. Jennifer Simpson, President & CEO resigned from the Company effective June 1, 2020.
Vermilion Energy Inc. [CALGARY, AB] (NYSE: VET) announced that Anthony Marino has stepped down as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a director of the Company.
Onduo [BOSTON, MA] announced Vindell Washington will step in as interim CEO. Vindell joined Verily as chief clinical officer of Health Platforms in January. Josh Riff, who has served as CEO since the launch of Onduo in 2016 is leaving to pursue other opportunities. Washington previously served as chief medical officer and EVP at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana. Prior to that, Washington was National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, where he provided high-level executive direction and leadership for ONC programs, operations, and policies.
Wipro Limited [EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ] (NYSE: WIT) announced the appointment of Thierry Delaporte as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company, effective July 6, 2020. Until recently, Delaporte was the Chief Operating Officer of Capgemini Group and a member of its Group Executive Board. During his twenty-five year career with Capgemini, Delaporte held several leadership roles including that of Chief Executive Officer of the Global Financial Services Strategic Business Unit. Abidali Neemuchwala will relinquish his position as CEO and MD on June 1.
ACG Silicon Valley [SAN JOSE, CA] announced it has named Yvonne Schwab as CEO, effective April 20. Schwab succeeds Drue Freeman, who has served as ACG Silicon Valley’s CEO since 2018. Prior to joining ACG Silicon Valley, Schwab was the business development director for the German American Business Association (GABA) NorCal. Schwab also served as the marketing and event director at Santa Clara incubator TechLab Innovation Center.
Selleration and DigitalChalk [NEW YORK] announced that Michael Bealmear has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the recently merged companies. Prior to his role as co-founder and Chairman of Selleration, Bealmear held the top seat at a number of high-profile organizations, including CEO of Tiburon, President of Sybase, CEO of Covansys, COO of Cadence Design Systems, and CEO of HyperRoll.
bp [HOUSTON, TX] announced that David C. Lawler, CEO of bpx energy, will add to his portfolio the responsibilities of chairman and president of bp America Inc., succeeding Susan Dio on July 1, 2020. Lawler will become bp’s chief representative in the United States. Lawler has served as CEO of bpx energy since 2014. Lawler joined bp from SandRidge Energy where he had served as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Dio, a 36-year veteran of bp who has served as bp America chairman and president since 2018, will retire later this year.
MRC Global Inc. [HOUSTON, TX] (NYSE: MRC) announced that MRC’s Global president and chief executive officer, Andrew Lane announced his plan to retire as president and chief executive effective December 31, 2021. Lane will also resign from the board on that date. Lane has served as a director of MRC Global and president and CEO since September 2008 and was the MRC Global chairman of the board from December 2009 until April 2016.
Immunomedics, Inc. [MORRIS PLAINS, NJ] (NASDAQ: IMMU) announced that Harout Semerjian has decided to step down from his role as President and Chief Executive Officer. Behzad Aghazadeh, Executive Chairman of Immunomedics, will continue to support the Company in an executive leadership role going forward.
Cognosos [ATLANTA, GA] announced that Braxton Jarratt has joined the company as its new CEO. Jarratt has also been appointed to serve on the Cognosos Board of Directors. Jarratt is a seasoned CEO, technology innovator, entrepreneur and investor with several demonstrated successes building and growing significant businesses in sectors as diverse as communications, media technology, big data and cloud computing.
Med Tech Solutions [SAN MATEO, CA] announced the appointment of Mona Abutaleb as CEO. Most recently, Abutaleb was CEO of mindSHIFT Technologies. After guiding mindSHIFT through its acquisition by Ricoh, Abutaleb also served as the Executive Vice President (EVP) and General Manager of Ricoh Global Services.
RES [HOUSTON, TX] announced that Darrell Whitley, COO since 2018, will succeed Elliott Bouillion as President and CEO of RES. With this transition, Bouillion, founder and CEO, will become Executive Chairman.
