AgEagle Aerial Systems Inc. [NEODESHA, KS] (NYSE American: UAVS) has appointed J. Michael Drozd as the Company’s new Chief Executive Officer, who shall commence employment on or before June 1, 2020. Drozd will replace current CEO Barrett Mooney, who will soon become Executive Chairman of the Board. Prior to joining AgEagle, Drozd was recruited by a Denver-based private equity group to serve as the CEO of their Hemp Companies (renamed RYTE). From 2015 through 2019, Drozd served as President of Eurofins AgBio Division. From 2014 until his recruitment to Eurofins, he was Chief Operating Officer at Arbiom. Drozd served as President and CEO of Aseptia/Wright Foods from 2011 through 2014.
Code for America [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that it has appointed Amanda Renteria as Chief Executive Officer. Renteria served as the Chief of Operations at the California Department of Justice under California Attorney General Xavier Becerra. In January, Code for America founder Jennifer Pahlka stepped down as executive director, and Zeryn Sarpangal and Lou Moore were named interim Co-CEOs. Pahlka will continue her service on Code for America’s board. Sarpangal will resume her role as Chief Financial and People Officer, and Moore will return to his position as Chief Technology Officer.
Akazoo S.A. [NEW YORK, and LONDON] (NASDAQ: SONG) announced that it has appointed Michael Knott as the Company’s interim Chief Executive Officer. This follows the decision by the Board to terminate Apostolos N. Zervos as Chief Executive Officer for cause. The Board has also requested that Zervos resign as a member of the Board. Knott is a Senior Managing Director in the Corporate Finance division at FTI Consulting and is based in London. Knott leads the Telecom, Media and Technology (TMT) practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
H.C. Starck Solutions [NEWTON, MA] announced that it has appointed Jacob Homiller as new President and Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Homiller served as Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer at the A.W. Chesterton Company. Prior to that, Homiller spent more than 10 years with Cabot Corporation as Vice President EMEA and NAFTA Reinforcement Materials.
SportsEdTV [MIAMI, FL] announced that it has named Victor Bergonzoli as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining SportsEdTV, Bergonzoli co-founded Dartfish, and served as their CEO for a decade. Under his leadership, Dartfish has become the world leader in video analysis solutions to sport teams, federations, coaches, and athletes. Bergonzoli is a former Swiss national weightlifting competitor and Swiss Army captain.
MakeOffices [WASHINGTON, DC] announced that current CEO Zach Wade has stepped aside to bring in Jeffrey V. Langdon as their new Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining the company, Langdon founded Adaptive Office Resources (AOR) in 2013, a management consulting firm. Langdon has most recently worked with San Diego-based CommonGrounds Workplace in leading its platform expansion, TechSpace on its divestiture, MindSpace on its entry to the U.S. market, and CBRE/Hana on its go-to-market strategy.
ViaClean Technologies [PHILADELPHIA, PA] announced the appointment of Greg Tipsord as President and Chief Executive Officer. Tipsord will become a partner in the Company and join its Board of Directors. Tipsord has a proven track record of brand, business, financial and organizational success with both large and small companies, including Procter & Gamble, The Dial Corporation and The Henkel Corporation. Prior to joining ViaClean Technologies, Tipsord served as Chief Executive Officer at Spellbinders Paper Arts. Beforehand, during his 17 years with The Dial Corporation, Tipsord held various executive and senior leadership positions, including Senior Vice President/General Manager – Laundry Care, Senior Vice President/General Manager – Home Care, Senior Vice President/General Manager – International and Senior Vice President/General Manager – Personal Care, achieving record revenues, profits and market share.
Radius Health, Inc. [WALTHAM, MA] (Nasdaq: RDUS) announced that Jesper Hoeiland will step down as President and Chief Executive Officer. Kelly Martin will assume the role of CEO and President of Radius. Martin spent 22 years at Merrill Lynch and was a member of the Executive Management Committee. Following that, Martin spent 12 plus years as the CEO of Elan Pharmaceuticals, plc.
NP Digital [SAN DIEGO] announced that Michael Gullaksen has joined the agency as its CEO. Gullaksen, former President of iProspect and CEO of Covario (acquired by iProspect), succeeds co-founder Mike Kamo in the role. Gullaksen’s proven leadership in performance marketing will help scale the company through the next stage of growth, while Kamo continues to support NP Digital as Chief Executive Officer of NP Brands.
PharmaJet [GOLDEN, CO] announced the appointment of Chris Cappello to President and Chief Executive Officer. Cappello replaces Ron Lowy, who was appointed Executive Chairman of the board. Cappello has extensive experience in medical device development and commercialization. Since joining PharmaJet, he has held successive global operational leadership positions, most recently as Chief Operating Officer. In his new role as President and CEO, Cappello will be responsible for running all facets of the business. Prior to joining PharmaJet, he drove the development of disruptive medical device technologies at companies such as AlloSource and Applied Medical.
SS8 Networks [MILPITAS, CA] announced that it has named Keith Bhatia as Chief Executive Officer. Bhatia, who previously served as SS8’s Chief Operations Officer, succeeds Dennis Haar, who remains on the SS8 Board of Directors. Bhatia re-joined SS8 in 2018. Since then, he has played an integral role in the company’s business strategy and the improvement of the company’s portfolio of products and services. Prior to joining SS8, Bhatia has held executive positions in both public and private companies. Bhatia has deep insights into the domestic and international telecom market (Comtech and Movius) and IT Infrastructure (Neustar and ADC).
KnowFully Learning Group [RADNOR, PA] announced that Eric Cantor has been selected as the Company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Cantor succeeds Evan Kramer, who stepped down as KnowFully’s CEO earlier this year but remains on the Company’s Board of Directors. Most recently, Cantor served as President and CEO of Paradigm Education Solutions. Previously, Cantor was Chairman and CEO of private-equity backed New Mountain Learning. Earlier in his career, he spent six years at the College Board and he has also served as CEO of Kaplan Professional, a division of Kaplan, Inc.
AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Inc. [WALTHAM, MA] (NASDAQ: AMAG) announced that it has appointed Scott Myers as AMAG’s President and Chief Executive Officer, and member of the Board. Myers succeeds William Heiden, who is stepping down from such roles in light of Myers’ appointment. Myers most recently served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rainier Therapeutics. Prior to joining Rainier, Myers served as Chief Executive Officer, President and as a director of Cascadian Therapeutics Inc. Myers also served as Chief Executive Officer of Aerocrine AB. Myers is currently an independent director of Selecta Biosciences where he serves as the Chair of the Compensation and Benefits Committee, as well as a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee.
ASRC Federal [BELTSVILLE, MD] announced Jennifer Felix as president and chief executive officer. Felix previously served as ASRC Federal’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, having joined the company in 2019 as an integral part of the organization’s leadership succession planning. Prior to ASRC Federal, Felix served in executive leadership positions for multiple companies in the government services market, including SAIC, Vencore Inc., General Dynamics and American Management Systems.
Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority [LONG BEACH, CA] announced Michael Leue as Chief Executive. Leue was formally selected by the ACTA Governing Board in March, following an extensive nationwide executive search. Leue joins ACTA following more than three decades of experience in leadership, management and design for ports, railroads and transportation agencies located throughout the U.S. and internationally.
Crawford & Company [ATLANTA, GA] (NYSE: CRD) announced that Harsha V. Agadi, after serving as Crawford & Company’s CEO & president for the last five years, will be transitioning from his role of CEO to return back to the board as a director. Rohit Verma, the company’s current global chief operating officer, will step into the role of CEO effective on May 15, 2020. Verma joined Crawford & Company in July 2017 from Zurich Insurance.
Anika Therapeutics, Inc. [BEDFORD, MA] (NASDAQ: ANIK) announced that Cheryl R. Blanchard has been named President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 26,2020. Blanchard has served as interim Chief Executive Officer of Anika since February 2020 and as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since August 2018. Prior to joining Anika, Blanchard served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Microchips Biotech, Inc., from 2014 until its sale to Daré Bioscience, Inc. in November 2019. From 2000 to 2012, Blanchard served in various officer positions of Zimmer, Inc. (now Zimmer Biomet), including as the Senior Vice President, Corporate Chief Scientific Officer and General Manager of its Biologics Business. Until her appointment as interim Chief Executive Officer of Anika in February 2020, Blanchard served as a member of Anika’s Compensation Committee and Governance and Nominating Committee.
Chico’s FAS [FORT MYERS, FL] (NYSE: CHS) announced the promotion of Molly Langenstein to CEO and President, effective June 24, 2020. Since August 2019,. Langenstein has served as President of the Company’s two largest brands, Chico’s and White House Black Market. Langenstein also will become a member of the Board of Directors. The Company also announced that current CEO and President Bonnie Brooks, who stepped into her role in April 2019 to lead the Company’s turnaround, will now become Executive Chair of the Board of Directors and continue to oversee the Company’s strategic direction.
Arcadis [HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO] has named Alex Rothchild CEO for its North American business. Rothchild succeeds Joachim Ebert, who passed away unexpectedly following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer earlier this month. Rothchild has more than 30 years of industry experience and has been with Arcadis since 1995. Rothchild has held a series of technical, client development and operational leadership roles with increasing levels of responsibility. Rothchild has served as president of the environment business in the United States for the past three years and as acting CEO of North America since January 1.
ThreatX [LOUISVILLE, CO] has appointed Gene Fay as the company’s new CEO. Co-founder and previous CEO, Bret Settle, will assume the role of Chief Strategy Officer and continue to provide integral guidance as a member of the leadership team. Before joining ThreatX, Fay served as Chief Operating Officer at White Ops.
Summit State Bank [SANTA ROSA, CA] announced that James Brush is retiring. Brush assumed the role of President and CEO in April of 2016 and has led the Bank through its recent growth and staff expansion. Brush has served on the Bank’s Board of Directors since 2009 and will remain on the Board. The Company has named current Executive Vice President/Chief Credit Officer Brian Reed in the succession plan to fill the role of President and Chief Executive Officer.
Quest Software [ALISO VIEJO, CA] announced it has appointed Patrick Nichols as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Former Quest CEO, Mike Kohlsdorf, who preceded Nichols, will transition to his primary role as President of Francisco Partners Consulting. Prior to joining Quest, Nichols was CEO at Corel Corporation. Prior to Corel, Nichols held executive leadership, product management and technical consulting roles across several market-leading enterprise software businesses.
InHealth MD Alliance [ORLANDO, FL] announced that Mark Leenay has joined the organization as CEO. Leenay succeeds Nelson Pichardo, Founder and CEO of IMA, who will remain on the Board of Directors. Leenay joins IMA from WellCare Health Plans, which earlier this year was acquired by Centene Corporation in a $17 billion transaction. In his role as Chief Medical Officer, Executive Vice President at WellCare, Leenay was responsible for clinical operations across all business lines for both physical and behavioral health. Prior to WellCare, Leenay served for six years in the U.S. and U.K. as a Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President at Optum, the health services platform of UnitedHealth Group.
Chicago Blackhawks Hockey Team [CHICAGO, IL] announced that the team has released John McDonough from his role as President and CEO of the organization. McDonough was hired as President of the team in 2007. In 2011, the role of CEO was added to his title. Team ownership is committed to ensuring strong executive leadership and will immediately begin a search to fill the role of President. In the interim, Daniel Wirtz currently Vice President of the Chicago Blackhawks and alternate Governor to the NHL, will serve as the team’s President. Wirtz has been an active advisor with the Blackhawks for the past decade, serves as the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation Vice Chairman and is a representative for the team with the United Center Joint Venture.
Corby Spirit and Wine Limited [TORONTO, ON] (TSX: CSW.A) announced that Patrick O’Driscoll, President and Chief Executive Officer of Corby, will retire, effective June 30, 2020 and that Nicolas Krantz has been appointed as his successor effective July 1, 2020. Krantz has also been appointed as a Corby director effective as of such date filling the vacancy created by O’Driscoll’s departure. Nicolas Krantz is currently Chief Executive Officer of Pernod Ricard Winemakers, Spain. Previously, Krantz was the Chief Financial Officer of Pernod Ricard, EMEA & LATAM and held various executive roles with several Pernod Ricard affiliates and predecessor companies.
