The Morganti Group Inc. [DANBURY, CT] has named Thamer Rushaidat as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. The move is part of the company’s succession plan, which was confirmed by Morganti’s Board of Directors in January 2019. Rushaidat has spent the last 25 years moving through the ranks of the company from site engineer and project manager to group manager then Deputy CEO/CFO and now to president and CEO.
Boxlight Corporation [LAWRENCEVILLE, GA] (NASDAQ: BOXL) announced that Michael Pope has been named as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. The Company’s previous CEO and Chairman, Harold Bevis, accepted a position with another organization and has stepped down as an officer and director. Prior to accepting the role of CEO and Chairman, Pope served as the company’s President since July 2015 and has been a director of the Company since September 2014. Pope served as Managing Director at Vert Capital. From May 2008 to October 2011, Pope was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the Taylor Family in Salt Lake City.
Emulate, Inc. [BOSTON, MA] announced that Jim Corbett has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Corbett succeeds Emulate’s founding CEO, James Coon, who led the company through its early stage. Corbett most recently served as Executive Vice President and President of Discovery & Analytical Solutions at PerkinElmer. Corbett’s other roles at PerkinElmer included Senior Vice President Human Health, Senior Vice President of Life Sciences Solutions, and President Diagnostics & Life Sciences. Prior to PerkinElmer, Corbett was President of ViaCell, Inc.
RTW Retailwinds, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: RTW) announced that Traci Inglis, current President and Chief Marketing and Customer Officer will become Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, effective April 17, 2020. Gregory Scott, who has directed the Company’s strategy for almost a decade has decided to relocate for personal reasons and therefore will step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Inglis joined the Company from TechStyle Fashion Group, where she most recently served as President of Global Fashion Brands since March 2017. Inglis joined TechStyle Fashion Group in 2013. Prior to joining TechStyle Fashion Group, Inglis spent nearly two years as the Director of Digital Marketing and CRM at Hot Topic Inc.
ShootProof [ATLANTA, GA] announced the appointment of Stephen Marshall as Chief Executive Officer. ShootProof’s co-founder Colin Breece is staying with the company in the role of Chief Strategy Officer. Previously Marshall was a Founding Partner at Deep Fractal. Marshall previously founded multiple companies including INVISION, a leading SaaS platform that managed $16B in advertising revenue. Marshall served as CEO of INVISION prior to its successful acquisition by Mediaocean in 2016.
Zylotech [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced the appointment of veteran tech executive Ernie Cormier as Chief Executive Officer and President. Founder Abhi Yadav, who has served as CEO, will continue to lead the company’s innovation efforts as Chief Technology Officer. Cormier previously was CEO and President at Nexage. Cormier served as Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Media (UK), Chief Product Officer at AOL, and VP Product Management at Nextel.
Denovo [BOULDER, CO] announce that David Shimoni has been named President and CEO. Shimoni was recently the President and CEO of PlumChoice. Prior to that, Shimoni served as the President and CEO of Mformation Software Technologies.
Baden Sports [RENTON, WA] announced it has appointed Jake Licht as President and Chief Executive Officer. The promotion follows the unexpected passing of longtime CEO Michael J. Schindler on Feb. 19. Licht has been Baden’s COO since 2016. Licht joined Baden in 2014 from Boeing, where he held leadership positions in program and product management.
Westat [ ROCKVILLE, MD] announced that Scott Royal who has served as President since November 2017, is appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, replacing CEO James E. Smith who will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Orchard Therapeutics [BOSTON,MA & LONDON] (Nasdaq: ORTX) announced that company founder and gene therapy pioneer Bobby Gaspar has been named chief executive officer. Gaspar, previously president of research, chief scientific officer, and a member of the Orchard board of directors, succeeds Mark Rothera, who has served as the company’s chief executive officer since 2017.
Trulioo [VANCOUVER, BC] announced that Steve Munford will join the company as President & Chief Executive Officer, effective March 30. Stephen Ufford, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Trulioo, assumes the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors. Munford, who most recently served as interim CEO at Carbonite in 2019, where he led the company through its sale to OpenText. In 2018 he was the interim CEO at Absolute Software, which he led through a restructuring and recruited a permanent CEO. Previously Munford was CEO at Sophos from 2006 to 2012. Prior to his role as CEO, Munford was President of ActiveState before its acquisition by Sophos in 2003.
The Advocator Group, LLC [WAKEFIELD, MA] a wholly owned subsidiary of Brown & Brown, Inc. has appointed Michael Shunney as Chief Executive Officer. Shunney assumes this role from Julie Turpin, who has served as CEO since January 2014. Shunney has served as The Advocator Group’s President and Chief Operating Officer since he joined the company in March 2014.
NanoFUSE Biologics, LLC [BOSTON, MA] announced it has chosen Jake Lubinski, the current President of NanoFUSE Biologics, LLC and President of Commercialization and Acquisition of parent company KICVentures, LLC, as its new CEO. In January 2020, NanoFUSE Biologics current CEO, Kingsley Chin announced he would step down as CEO to focus on further expanding KICVentures and its healthcare portfolio. Lubinski joined KICVentures in 2010 and has served in multiple executive roles within KICVentures portfolio companies since 2013.
Annaly Capital Management, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: NLY) announced that it has selected David L. Finkelstein as its Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board, effective March 13, 2020. Finkelstein will also retain his current role as Chief Investment Officer. Finkelstein succeeds Glenn Votek, who has acted as Interim CEO and President since November 2019. Prior to Annaly, Finkelstein served for four years as an Officer in the Markets Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Previously, Finkelstein held senior Agency MBS trading positions at Salomon Smith Barney, Citigroup Inc. and Barclays PLC.
Engage3 [DAVIS, CA] announced that Edris Bemanian has been appointed as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Edris has served as Chief Operations Officer and General Manager of Engage3 since 2015. Engage3 Founder Ken Ouimet will become Chairman of the Strategy and Science Committee. Ouimet will also focus on the advancement of the company’s science and analytics portfolio as the Engage3’s Chief Innovation Officer.
AVANGRID, Inc. [ORANGE, CT] (NYSE: AGR) announced that CEO James P. Torgerson, 67, will retire on June 23, 2020. Torgerson has served as CEO of AVANGRID since it was formed in 2015 as the result of the merger of Iberdrola USA and UIL Holdings Corporation. Previously, Torgerson served as President and CEO of UIL Holdings.
The National Center for Healthcare Leadership [CHICAGO, IL] announced the appointment of LeAnn Swanson as chief executive officer. Previously, Swanson served as the executive director of the Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance from 2013 to 2020.
Chorus.ai [SAN FRANCISCO] announced Jim Benton as CEO. Benton joins the company at a momentous time, as Chorus has tripled revenue growth, doubled employee size and secured banner customers such as Bill.com, TripActions, Lucid, Podium and more. Benton is also a former Co-Founder of ClearSlide and CEO of Apollo, Benton’s career is defined by revenue generation and applying the voice of the customer to guide product innovation.
Lockheed Martin [BETHESDA, MD] (NYSE: LMT) has elected James D. Taiclet as president and CEO, effective June 15. Taiclet will continue to serve as a member of the corporation’s board, which he joined in 2018. Taiclet has served as chairman, president and CEO of American Tower Corporation since 2004 and CEO since 2003. Taiclet will succeed Marillyn A. Hewson who has served as chairman, president and CEO since 2014 and president and CEO since 2013. Hewson will become executive chairman of the board, also effective June 15. Prior to joining American Tower in 2001, Taiclet was president of Honeywell Aerospace Services, a unit of Honeywell International, and prior to that was vice president, engine services at Pratt & Whitney, a unit of United Technologies Corporation. He was also previously a consultant at McKinsey & Company, specializing in telecommunications and aerospace strategy and operations.
Context Capital Partners, LP [BALA CYNWYD, PA] announced that Ron Biscardi, CEO of Context Summits, Context Family Network (CFN) and Partner of Context Capital Partners, will be leaving his positions to pursue other opportunities. Eric Noll, CEO of Context Capital Partners, will take on the additional role of CEO of Context Summits and CFN.
Myers Industries, Inc. [AKRON, OH] (NYSE: MYE) announced that it has named Michael McGaugh as the Company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 6, 2020. McGaugh was also appointed to the Company’s board of directors effective April 6, 2020. McGaugh succeeds Andrean Horton, who served as Myers Industries’ Interim President and CEO, and who will return to her role as Myers’ Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary.
American Tower Corporation [BOSTON, MA] (NYSE:AMT) announced that James Taiclet will be transitioning from his roles as President, Chief Executive Officer and executive Chairman of the Board. The Company’s Board of Directors has named Tom Bartlett to succeed Taiclet as President and Chief Executive Officer. Bartlett has served as American Tower’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for over ten years, joining the Company from Verizon Communications, Inc. in April 2009 after a career there of more than 25 years.
