DuPont [WILMINGTON, DE] [NYSE: DD] announced that it has appointed current Executive Chairman Edward D. Breen to the additional role of Chief Executive Officer. Marc Doyle, who have served as CEO, is departing the company. Breen has served as the Executive Chairman of DuPont since the separation in June 2019 and previously served as Chief Executive Officer of DowDuPont since 2017. Prior to the merger of DuPont and The Dow Chemical Company, Breen was Chairman and CEO of DuPont since 2015.
Bossa Nova [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Stuart Pann has been appointed chief executive officer, replacing Bruce McWilliams, who will remain in the company as chief operating officer. Pann was most recently Chief Supply Chain Officer at HP Inc. and Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Business Management Group at Intel.
Unit Corporation [TULSA, OK] (NYSE: UNT) announced that David T. Merrill was selected to succeed Larry D. Pinkston as the company’s Chief Executive Officer and President, effective April 1, 2020. Pinkston announced his retirement from his CEO and President roles effective March 31, 2020, although he will remain on Unit’s Board of Directors. Merrill joined the company in August 2003 and served as its Vice President of Finance until February 2004 when he was elected to the position of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, positions he held until November 2017. Merrill has served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer since August 2017.
FOCUS Brands [ATLANTA, GA] announced that Jim Holthouser will join the Company as Chief Executive Officer. Holthouser succeeds Steve DeSutter, who is retiring after serving as the Company’s CEO for nearly six years. Holthouser most recently served as Executive Vice President, Global Brands, Marketing and Loyalty at Hilton Worldwide.
CeriFi [ATLANTA, GA] has named Matthew Given as chief executive officer. Prior to joining CeriFi, Given spent the last 10 years in C-level positions within education technology businesses. Most recently Given was the president and CEO of a 500-employee education technology business.
Southern National Bancorp of Virginia, Inc. [MCLEAN, VA] (NASDAQ: SONA) announced that Dennis J. Zember Jr. has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Southern National and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sonabank, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Southern National and Sonabank. Zember most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ameris Bancorp. Zember was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Ameris from June 2016 through June 2018 and Chief Financial Officer of Ameris from February 2005 through December 2017. Joe A. Shearin is retiring as CEO of the Company and Sonabank and resigning as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company and Sonabank.
CyrusOne Inc. [DALLAS, TX] (NASDAQ: CONE) announced that the Company has appointed Tesh Durvasula as President & Chief Executive Officer. This appointment follows Gary Wojtaszek stepping down as President & Chief Executive Officer, and as a director of the Company. Durvasula will serve as the Company’s President & CEO on an interim basis.
Alliance Data Systems Corporation [COLUMBUS, OH] (NYSE: ADS) announced that Ralph Andretta has begun his tenure as Alliance Data President and Chief Executive Officer. Andretta was appointed president and CEO in November 2019, with an effective date of February 3, 2020. Andretta succeeds Charles Horn, who served as Alliance Data’s interim CEO since November and will continue with the Company as EVP and Senior Advisor. Most recently, Andretta served as Managing Director and Head of U.S. Cards for Citigroup. Andretta’s career spans more than 25 years working at global organizations including Citi, American Express, Bank of America and EY.
CenterPoint Energy, Inc. [HOUSTON, TX] (NYSE: CNP) announced that it has appointed John W. Somerhalder II as interim President and Chief Executive Officer to succeed Scott M. Prochazka, who has stepped down as President and Chief Executive Officer, and as a member of the board of directors. Somerhalder II has been a Director of CenterPoint Energy, Inc. since October 2016. Somerhalder most recently served as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Colonial Pipeline Company, from February 2017 to October 2017. Prior to joining Colonial Pipeline Company, Somerhalder served as President, Chief Executive Officer and as a director of AGL Resources Inc.
Ribbon Communications Inc. [WESTFORD, MA] (Nasdaq: RBBN) announced that Bruce McClelland has been appointed as its President, Chief Executive Officer and a director, effective around March 1, 2020. McClelland has served in numerous leadership roles throughout his three-decades long career, which includes twenty years at ARRIS International plc, where he most recently served as its Chief Executive Officer.
Selligent Marketing Cloud [SAN JOSE, CA] has named Karthik Kripapuri Chief Executive Officer of the company. Kripapuri succeeds John Hernandez, who will advise Karthik and the Board to ensure a seamless transition. Kripapuri has been with Selligent for two years as Chief Customer Officer. Prior to joining Selligent, Kripapuri spent 15 years at Dimension Data. During his time at Dimension Data, Kripapuri’s most recent position was Vice President, Americas System Integration Services.
Nutraceutical International Corporation [PARK CITY, UT] announced the appointment of Monty Sharma as its new Chief Executive Officer. Sharma was most recently President and CEO of Jenny Craig. Sharma has been CEO of multiple consumer health and wellness companies, including Curves International, Atkins Nutritionals Inc., leading premium juice brand Naked Juice, and global nutritional products company EAS.
Emerald Scientific, LLC [SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA] announced the promotion of its Chief Financial Officer, Leigh White, to Chief Executive Officer. Ken Snoke, who co-founded Emerald Scientific six years ago, will be maintaining a leadership role in company strategy and corporate culture.
NN, Inc. [CHARLOTTE, NC] (NASDAQ: NNBR) announced that it has appointed Warren Veltman President and Chief Executive Officer. Veltman has served as NN’s interim President and CEO since September 16, 2019. Veltman previously served as Executive Vice President of NN’s Mobile Solutions group, a position he held when he joined the Company in 2014. Prior to that, Veltman served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Autocam Corporation, and of Autocam Medical.
Shattuck Labs, Inc. [AUSTIN, TX] announced the appointment of Shattuck’s Chief Scientific Officer and Co-founder, Taylor Schreiber to Chief Executive Officer. Schreiber succeeds Josiah Hornblower. Schreiber co-founded Shattuck in 2016 and previously served as the Chief Scientific Officer.
ACI Worldwide Inc. [NAPLES, FL] (NASDAQ: ACIW) announced that Odilon Almeida has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 9, 2020. Almeida will also be appointed to serve as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Almeida joins ACI having most recently served as an Operating Partner at Advent International. Prior to Advent International, Almeida served as President, Western Union Global Money Transfer at The Western Union Company.
Velox Clearing, LLC [ANAHEIM, CA] announced the appointment of Michael Higgins as its Chief Executive Officer. Higgins most recently served as Head of Operations at LPL Financial. At LPL, Higgins was also Senior Vice President of Operational Risk Management.
Checkers & Rally’s [TAMPA, FL] announced that Frances Allen has been named Chief Executive Officer and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Allen succeeds Rick Silva, who has decided to leave the company after 13 years as CEO and President. Most recently, Allen served as Chief Executive Officer of Boston Market. Prior to Boston Market, Allen served as President of Jack-in-the-Box from 2014 to 2018. Allen’s prior leadership experience includes successful tenures as Chief Brand Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at Denny’s Corporation and as Chief Marketing Officer of Dunkin’ Donuts USA.
Citi Trends, Inc. [SAVANNAH, GA] (NASDAQ: CTRN) announced that the Company has appointed David Makuen as Chief Executive Officer, effective March 9, 2020. Makuen will succeed Peter Sachse, who has served as Interim CEO since December 9, 2019. Makuen will also join Citi Trends’ Board of Directors. Sachse has been appointed by the Board of Directors as the Executive Chairman.
Ardent Health Services [NASHVILLE, TN] announced that David T. Vandewater, President and Chief Executive Officer has announced his plans to retire from the company in 2020. He will remain as President and CEO until a successor is named.
Ingevity Corporation [NORTH CHARLESTON, SC] (NYSE: NGVT) announced that the company and D. Michael Wilson agreed that he would resign as president, CEO, and a director. The board has appointed Ingevity chairman Richard (“Rick”) Kelson as interim president and CEO. Kelson was named chairman of Ingevity’s board of directors in 2016 and has served as chairman, president and CEO of ServCo, a strategic sourcing business, since 2009. Kelson served as CFO and executive vice president at Alcoa, Inc., for nearly a decade before retiring in 2006.
Fastly, Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO] (NYSE: FSLY) announced that Artur Bergman has transitioned from his role as Chief Executive Officer to the role of Chief Architect and Executive Chairperson. Joshua Bixby, the President of Fastly since 2017, succeeds Bergman as CEO. Prior to Fastly Bixby served as Vice President of Acceleration at Radware Ltd. Bixby also served as President and co-founder of Strangeloop Networks.
Cushing Terrell [BILLINGS, MT & BOISE, ID] announced the appointment of Greg Matthews as president and CEO to replace outgoing President Scott Wilson, who will remain with the firm and continue to serve on the board.
American Cultivation and Extraction Services [GREENSBORO, NC] announced Kenneth Kunberger as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Kunberger joins the company from International Textile Group, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to that role, Kunberger held multiple executive positions at ITG, including Chief Operating Officer and President of the company’s Apparel and Specialty Fabrics Group.
Bricks 4 Kidz [BOISE, ID] announced the appointment of Christopher Rego as CEO. Rego has been a Bricks 4 Kidz franchise owner in the Bay Area since 2013.
Illinois Bankers Association [SPRINGFIELD, IL] announced that Former U.S. Representative Randy Hultgren has been selected to succeed Linda Koch as president and CEO. Hultgren will start with the IBA on April 6, 2020 and will assume the role of president and CEO on July 1, 2020. Most recently, Hultgren served in the United States House of Representatives from 2011-2019, representing the 14th Congressional District of Illinois. Prior to his time in Congress, Hultgren served as a member of the Illinois Senate from 2007-2011, and as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives from 1999-2007, while also serving on the financial institutions committees in both chambers.
CVB Financial Corp. [ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA] (NASDAQ: CVBF) and its principal subsidiary, Citizens Business Bank announced that the Company has chosen David A. Brager to be the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer. Brager, who currently serves as Executive Vice President, Sales Division Manager, will assume the role on March 16, 2020 upon the scheduled retirement of the Company’s current President and CEO, Christopher D. Myers. Concurrently, Brager is being appointed to the respective Boards of Directors of CVBF and Citizens Business Bank. Brager joined CVBF in 2003 as a Vice President, and four years later, he was promoted to SVP and Regional Manager for the entire Central Valley area of California. At the beginning of 2011, Brager was promoted to EVP and Sales Division Manager. Prior to his tenure with the Company, Brager worked for over seven years at Westamerica Bank.
Communities In Schools® [ARLINGTON, VA] announced that CIS Alumnus Rey Saldaña has been named President and CEO, effective in mid-March. Most recently, Saldaña served as the Regional Advocacy Director for the Raise Your Hand Texas Foundation, and the Chair of the San Antonio Metropolitan Transit Agency – VIA. Prior to that, Saldaña served four terms on the San Antonio City Council where he was first elected at age 24, becoming the youngest councilperson in that city’s history.
Whealthcare Planning [BELMONT, MA] announced that Kevin Ruth is joining the company as Interim CEO. Ruth was most recently head of Wealth Planning and Personal Trust at Fidelity Investments and Fidelity Private Wealth Management. Ruth also served as Chief Financial Planning Officer for Fidelity’s Personal and Workplace Advisors LLC. Prior to joining Fidelity, Ruth was the head of planning, trust and financial products at UBS and head of private planning at Merrill Lynch.
Aternity® [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced that Bill Hewitt has been appointed President and CEO. Prior to joining Aternity, Hewitt was a partner at Beacon Equity Partners in Boston. Hewitt was previously CEO and Director of Exari Systems. Prior to Exari Systems, Hewitt served as President, CEO and Director of Kalido.
One Stop Systems, Inc. [ESCONDIDO, CA] (Nasdaq: OSS) has appointed company director, David Raun, as interim president and CEO, succeeding Steve Cooper, who will continue as a member of the board of the directors. Raun will serve in the interim capacity until the board selects a new president and CEO. Raun previously served as president and COO of ASSIA. Earlier Raun served as president, CEO and a director of PLX Technology.
