AspireHR [DALLAS] appointed Kevin Chase as CEO and President. Melissa Hillesheim, Co-founder, Executive Chairman and preceding Chief Executive Officer will become Executive Chairman. Most recently, Chase served as SVP, CIO, and Chief Digital Officer at Sempra Energy. Prior to that, Chase was SVP & CIO for 8 years at EFH, Luminant, and TXU Energy.
UOVO [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Schmerin. With Schmerin’s appointment, former CEO and UOVO Co-Founder Steve Novenstein joins the UOVO Board of Directors as Co-Chairman.
The Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Greg Seibly, President and Chief Executive Officer, has given notice of his resignation effective February 28, 2020. The Bank has named Stephen P. Traynor, Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer, as Acting President and CEO, effective upon Seibly’s resignation. Traynor joined the Bank in 1995 as Assistant Treasurer and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, in 1999. His responsibilities expanded in 2004 when he began managing the Bank’s Community Investment Department. Traynor was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Banking Officer in 2017.
Henry Ford Health System [DETROIT, MI] has selected Michael Genord as president and chief executive officer of HAP and executive vice president of the health system. Genord has been serving as HAP’s interim president and CEO since July 2019. In addition to his role as president and CEO of HAP, Genord will continue serving as president and CEO of HAP Empowered Health Plan, a licensed HMO and wholly owned subsidiary of HAP. Previously, Genord served as HAP’s senior vice president and chief medical officer. Prior to joining HAP, Genord was president and CEO of HealthPlus and served as the company’s chief medical officer.
Curi Capital [RALEIGH, NC] announced the appointment of Dimitri Eliopoulos as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer. Eliopoulos joins from RMB, where he most recently served as Partner and President of Wealth Management.
The Virginia Center for Addiction Medicine [RICHMOND, VA] announced that it has appointed Anna McKean as its new chief executive officer. Prior to joining the Virginia Center for Addiction Medicine, McKean served as the president of Aviant Health. McKean also served as executive vice president of strategic initiatives at Health Diagnostic Laboratory.In addition, McKean served as president and chief operating officer at PartnerMD.
Everee [SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH] announced it has appointed Brett Barlow as chief executive officer. Barlow most recently served as chief brand officer at Pluralsight. Barlow also held senior leadership roles at Skullcandy and Hewlett-Packard.
DK Haney Roofing [FORT WORTH, TX] announced the promotion of Royce Martin to Chief Executive Officer, a move that was effective January 1, 2020. Matrtin succeeds Dustin Haney as CEO. Haney will still be involved with the company as Owner and President. Martin has served as the company’s Chief Operation Officer.
Spaulding Clinical Research [WEST BEND, WI] announced that it has named Cassandra Erato chief executive officer, effective February 1, 2020. Randy Spaulding will assume the role of founder, chairman, and chief visionary officer. Erato is currently the COO of Spaulding Clinical and has held the position since 2015. Erato has been with Spaulding Clinical since its inception in 2007.
Carlinville Area Hospital [CARLINVILLE, IL] announced the retirement of Ken Reid as CEO on January 31, 2020. Michael Layfield arrived on January 27, 2020 to serve as the interim CEO. Layfield has worked in both for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals as Regional Vice-President, CEO, and CFO.
Spoonflower [DURHAM, NC] announced that its board has chosen Michael Jones as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer. Jones succeeds Gart Davis, the company’s co-founder, who is stepping into the new role of Chief Operating Officer. Jones most recently was Chief Revenue Officer at Amplience and previously held leadership positions at Anatwine, RetailMeNot, eBay, and ChannelAdvisor.
The Association of Social Work Boards [CULPEPER, VA] announced that it has chosen Dwight J. Hymans as the organization’s next chief executive officer. Hymans, who is ASWB’s chief operating officer, will succeed the current CEO Mary Jo Monahan, who is retiring, on May 1, 2020. Hymans has worked at ASWB since 2007. For the last eight years, Hymans has been part of the executive leadership team, first as executive vice president for four years and as COO since 2016. From 2013 to 2017, Hymans served as ASWB representative on the Council of Social Work Education Commission on Educational Policy. Prior to joining ASWB, Hymans led the master’s field program at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis School of Social Work. Before that, he was an assistant professor at Ball State University Department of Social Work.
Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. [SAN JOSE, CA] announced the appointment of Mark Marano as President and Chief Executive Officer. Marano succeeds Laney Bisbee following his retirement in late 2019. Marano joins SI following a brief retirement from Westinghouse Electric Company, where he previously was Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Marano served as Westinghouse President, Americas and EMEA sales regions for four years. Prior to Westinghouse, Marano held executive leadership positions with AREVA NP (currently Framatome) and GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy.
IntelliDyne, LLC [FALLS CHURCH, VA] announced the return of owner, Robert Grey, to the role of CEO. Grey founded the company in 1999 and served as CEO. Grey’s return marked the departure of Tony Crescenzo, who served for 6 years as IntelliDyne’s CEO after leaving his role as Partner at Achievence.
Mary’s Brands™ [GREENWICH, CT] announced that Jacques Panis has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Mary’s, Panis spent over six years at Shinola as president and co-founder. After Shinola, Panis served as the CEO of New World Diamonds.
Rōti Modern Mediterranean [CHICAGO, IL] announced the appointment of Justin Seamonds as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Rōti, Seamonds served as the CEO of Snack Street and President of Dean and DeLuca.
BULLETPROOF™ [FREDERICTON, NB] announced that Chris Johnston has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer as of January 30th, 2020. Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Bulletproof, Steven Burns, will be stepping down as CEO and taking on the role of Chairman/Advisor.
Aliaswire, Inc. [BURLINGTON, MA] announced that Jed Rice has been named Chief Executive Officer and been appointed to its Board of Directors, effective January 20. Before joining Aliaswire, Rice spent nearly five years at PayPal. Rice joined PayPal as part of its acquisition of Paydiant, where he was part of the founding management team that led the company from start-up to successful exit. Before Paydiant Rice had key leadership roles at Skyhook Wireless and edocs.
The Intersect Group [ATLANTA, GA] announced the appointment of Edwin Miller to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining The Intersect Group, Miller served as President, CEO and Director of Astreya Partners, Inc. Miller is also the founder of 9Lenses.
SavATree [BEDFORD HILLS, NY] announced that it has named Carmine Schiavone to succeed Daniel van Starrenburg, the company’s long-serving CEO. Van Starrenburg will continue with SavATree as Executive Chairman. Schiavone spent four years in senior leadership positions at Johnson Controls, most recently as General Manager & Vice President of Fire Protection Solutions & Services. Prior to Johnson Controls, Schiavone spent 16 years at Tyco, where he took on increasing responsibility as Vice President, General Manager, and Acting Chief Operating Officer across various business units.
Griswold Home Care [PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA] announced the appointment of Michael Slupecki as its Chief Executive Officer. Slupecki recently served as Chief Financial Officer of BioMatrix. Prior to BioMatrix, Slupecki served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer during Interim HealthCare’s transformation into Caring Brands International.
National Power, LLC [RALEIGH, NC] announce Chris Hutter has joined the company as its new Chief Executive Officer. Chris’s track record of leadership includes serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of PowerSecure International, Inc. In addition, Chris is on the Board of Directors of Powerside where he also served as the Executive Chairman and interim CEO.
PDC Beauty & Wellness Co. [STAMFORD, CT] announced that Alex Tosolini has been appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer. Tosolini most recently served as Senior Vice President of New Business Development at the Kroger Company. Tosolini succeeds James V. Stammer who has served as the company’s CEO and Board Director since 2005. Stammer has elected to step down as CEO after 15 years to pursue other interests.
The California Pharmacists Association [SACRAMENTO, CA] announced that Susan Bonilla has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Bonilla will begin as CEO in early March, succeeding Jon Roth, CPhA’s former Chief Executive Officer.
LaserShip [VIENNA, VA] announced the appointment of its new Chief Executive Officer, Brett Bissell. Bissell succeeds Blake Averill, who, will continue to serve as a Board member. Bissell began his career with Toshiba Corporation as an engineer, and after stints with Motorola and Qualcomm, joined Flex Corporation as General Manager in Nagoya Japan and then subsequently as Vice-President and Country Manager for Brazil operations for Flex. Bissell joined Ceva Logistics in 2011 as Executive Vice-President of Latin America and in 2014 was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Ceva’s Contract Logistics business line.
HSS [DENVER, CO] announced that it has appointed Kirsten Benefiel as chief executive officer. Benefiel has served as a senior leader since July, when the board announced it would conduct a national search for a new CEO.
OpSec Security [LANCASTER, PA] has appointed Selva Selvaratnam Chief Executive Officer effective February 1, 2020. Selvaratnam follows the transition of Richard (Rich) Cremona, OpSec Security CEO since 2014, who will assume the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Selvaratnam is an entrepreneur who, following the sale of his own business, has held several executive C-level positions within the Software and Security Solutions industry with such firms as De La Rue, HID Global and Assa Abloy.
Sonoco [HARTSVILLE, SC] (NYSE: SON) announced it has selected R. Howard Coker as its president and chief executive officer. Coker succeeds Robert C. Tiede who has elected to retire from Sonoco after serving as president and CEO since April 2018. Coker has also been elected to the Company’s Board of Directors, replacing Tiede. Coker joined Sonoco in 1985 and has held a number of senior leadership positions in businesses serving consumer and industrial markets. Prior to being elected president and CEO, Coker was senior vice president, Global Paper/Industrial Converted Products. Coker previously served as senior vice president, Rigid Paper Containers and Paper/Engineered Carriers International.
DIGARC [LAKELAND, FL] announced that Richard Becker has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Becker succeeds Angela Selden who has left to pursue other opportunities. Becker most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Stack Sports. Becker previously was President of Target Analytics, a division of Blackbaud.
WeWork [NEW YORK] announced that Sandeep Mathrani will join the Company as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors, effective February 18, 2020. Mathrani succeeds co-CEOs Artie Minson and Sebastian Gunningham, both of whom helped stabilize WeWork over the past several months. Minson and Gunningham will remain with the Company through a transition period to ensure a smooth onboarding process. Mathrani most recently served as CEO of Brookfield Properties’ retail group. Prior to that, Mathrani served as CEO of GGP Inc. for eight years. Prior to joining GGP in 2010, Mathrani was President of Retail for Vornado Realty Trust. Before that, he spent nearly a decade as Executive Vice President at Forest City Ratner.
Myriad Genetics, Inc. [SALT LAKE CITY, UT] (NASDAQ: MYGN) announced that R. Bryan Riggsbee, Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed Interim President and CEO and will also continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer. Mark C. Capone has resigned as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Riggsbee joined Myriad in October 2014. Riggsbee previously served for 10 years with Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp) where his most recent position was as senior vice president of Corporate Finance. Prior to LabCorp, Riggsbee served in various finance roles with General Electric and began his career in the audit division of KPMG.
QCS Purchasing [CHICAGO, IL] announced that Ken Klug has been named President and CEO. Klug joined QCS Purchasing in November of 2015 as Director of Business Development and Supply Chain. Previously, Klug served in various positions, including product supply and logistics procurement for the Kraft Food Groups. Klug replaces former QCS Purchasing CEO, Peter Horvath. Horvath will remain in his role as President of the organization.
PAX Labs, Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO] has announced the appointment of Michael Murphy as the company’s president and CEO. Prior to joining PAX, Murphy was a Managing Director for international consulting firm AlixPartners and served as the local market leader for both the Bay Area and Hong Kong practices. While at AlixPartners, Murphy led multiple engagements, both as a consultant and serving in management roles at companies including Nextwave Wireless, PacketVideo, as well as Diamond Foods and Home Depot’s Asia division.
PROCEPT BioRobotics Corporation [REDWOOD CITY, CA] announced the appointment of Reza Zadno as its new president and chief executive officer. Zadno came to PROCEPT BioRobotics after serving as president and CEO of Avedro Inc. Prior to his position at Avedro, Zadno spent five years as a venture partner at firms including Interwest Partners and Novartis Fund. Additionally, he was the founder, president and CEO of Visiogen.
Kate Spade [NEW YORK] announced that Liz Fraser has been named CEO and Brand President. Fraser is expected to join the Company on March 1, 2020 and will assume operational control of the brand from Joanne Crevoiserat who has been leading the brand in an interim capacity since December 2019. Since 2018, Fraser has been the President of Lafayette 148. Fraser joined Lafayette 148 from Anne Klein, where she was Chief Executive Officer, and before that, Marc by Marc Jacobs, where she was President.
Stuart Weitzman [NEW YORK] has announced that Giorgio Sarné, currently President, Tapestry Asia and President & CEO Coach Asia, as CEO and Brand President. Sarné will succeed Eraldo Poletto, the brand’s current CEO and Brand President, who has decided to leave the Company effective March 1, 2020. Sarné has been with the Company since November 2013, holding progressively senior roles in North America and Asia.
Envision Healthcare [NASHVILLE, TN] announced the departure of President and CEO Christopher A. “Chris” Holden. Holden will be replaced by an interim Office of the CEO while the Board of Directors conducts a national search for a successor. The Office of the CEO will be led by EVP and Chief Operating Officer Karey Witty, EVP and Chief Financial Officer Teresa Sparks, and Chief Administrative Officer Dave Esler.
Veruna [BOSTON] announced Jennifer Carroll as the company’s new CEO, replacing Bob Scullin, who is moving into an expanded and ongoing role at Keystone Insurance Group, a major investor in Veruna. Carroll formerly served as general counsel and a fractional C-suite executive for startups such as Drillinginfo and Revionics.
GMV Syncromatics [LOS ANGELES] announced the appointment of Rich “Arch” Archuleta as CEO, effective January 13, 2020. Archuleta is replacing Ian Sephton who, after seven years as CEO, will continue to serve on the Board of Directors of GMV Syncromatics. In 2007 Archuleta was appointed CEO of Plastic Logic.
Parking Sense [NEW YORK] announced Ed Robinson has been appointed CEO and executive director. Former CEO Jake Bezzant has concluded his work with Parking Sense and will no longer work in the parking industry.
Dwell [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Zach Klein has joined as CEO. Klein previously co-founded Vimeo and DIY.org. Lara Deam, Founder and former CEO of Dwell, hand-selected Klein to carry the torch, and she will remain Chairwoman of the Board.
LifeStraw [WASHINGTON] has named Alison Hill, as CEO. Owner and CEO Mikkel Vestergaard Frandsen has passed the reigns of LifeStraw to Hill. Hill has been with parent company Vestergaard and the LifeStraw brand for over 10 years.
Gener8 [SUNNYVALE, CA] announced that David Brakenwagen has been recently appointed as the CEO. Brakenwagen most recently served as the President at NEO Tech. Gener8’s founder, David Klein, will continue full time as a key executive.
ALLETE, Inc. [DULUTH, MN] (NYSE:ALE) announced that Bethany Owen, current President of ALLETE, has been elected CEO of ALLETE. Owen succeeds Al Hodnik. To support an orderly transition, Hodnik will serve as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors and will be involved actively with Owen, the Board and executive leadership until his retirement from the company and the Board in May 2021. Owen joined the company in 2002 as an attorney and has served as the Director-Transmission Regulatory Compliance and Business Support from 2009 to 2010. From 2010 through 2016, Owen served as President of Superior Water, Light and Power Co. In 2012, Owens was named Vice President-Minnesota Power, and in 2014, she also became Vice President-ALLETE Information Technology Solutions. In 2016, Owen was appointed ALLETE Senior Vice President and Chief Legal and Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary before being named President of ALLETE in January 2019.
HARMAN [STAMFORD, CT] announced that Dinesh Paliwal will step down on April 1 after nearly 13 years with the company as President & CEO. The Board of Directors has unanimously elected Michael Mauser to succeed Paliwal, as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mauser will join the company’s board of directors, effective April 1. To ensure a smooth and seamless transition, Paliwal has agreed to remain with Harman as Senior Advisor to the board of directors and to the CEO until December 2020.
Watermark [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the appointment of Peggy Northrop as its new CEO effective February 24, 2020.Northrop succeeds Marilyn Nagel, Watermark’s former CEO, who returned to serve as interim CEO during the search.
Tribune Publishing Company [CHICAGO] (NASDAQ: TPCO) announced Terry Jimenez, the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer and joined the Board, succeeding Timothy P. Knight, who has stepped down from the Board and will leave the company at the end of February. Terry Jimenez has been Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer of Tribune Publishing Company since 2016. Prior to joining the Company, Jimenez was a Partner for IBM’s Global Business Services since 2012. From September 2009 through February 2012, he was President of Newsday Media Group, a subsidiary of Cablevision Systems Corporation. From 2008 to 2009, Jimenez served as Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer of Newsday, LLC and Publisher of amNewYork. From 2005 to 2008, he was Vice President Finance/Chief Financial Officer of Newsday, Inc.
ChildCareCRM [DALLAS] announced the promotion of Matt Amoia to Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2020. Co-founder Chuck Gibbs will continue to play an integral role in the company’s enterprise sales and overarching vision as Chairman of the Board. Prior to joining ChildCareCRM in October as President, Amoia was Chief Customer Officer at PayLease.
Habitat for Humanity Canada [TORONTO] announced that Julia Deans will be taking over the role of President and CEO, effective February 24, 2020. Most recently, Julia was the founding CEO of the Canada Children’s Literacy Foundation.
