Loden Vision Centers [NASHVILLE, TN] announced the appointment of the senior executive, Matthew Pierre, to serve as its Chief Executive Officer. Pierre has previously worked at private equity firm Artemis Real Estate Partners.
Bet Tzedek [LOS ANGELES] announced that it has selected Diego Cartagena as its new President & Chief Executive Officer. Cartagena succeeds Jessie Kornberg, who will become the next President & CEO of the Skirball Cultural Center in July 2020. Diego joined Bet Tzedek in 2012 as Director of Pro Bono Programs and was promoted to Vice President Pro Bono in 2015. In 2017, Diego became Bet Tzedek’s Vice President of Legal Programs.
PANHANDLE OIL AND GAS INC. [OKLAHOMA CITY] (NYSE: PHX) announced that Chad L. Stephens was approved as Chief Executive Officer of Panhandle. Stephens was previously Interim Chief Executive Officer and currently serves as a member of Panhandle’s board of directors. Stephens was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Range Resources from 2002 until his retirement on Dec. 31, 2018. Stephens joined Range Resources in 1990 as Senior Vice President – Southwest.
Harness Dickey [TROY, MI] announce the appointment of Bill Coughlin to Chief Executive Officer. Coughlin began his legal career at Harness Dickey and spent 17 years at the firm before leaving in 1995. Coughlin led Chrysler’s and then DaimlerChrysler’s legal IP teams until 2000 and then joined Ford Motor Company as Assistant General Counsel and CEO of its intellectual property subsidiary, Ford Global Technologies LLC.
Positec Tool Corporation [CHARLOTTE, NC] announced that Chris Allen has been appointed to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. Allen will succeed current President and CEO Tom Duncan, who will assume the position of Executive Board Member of the Positec Group. Most recently, Allen served as President of SBM Life Sciences. Prior to his role at SBM, Allen was President, North America, for Greenworks.
McAfee, LLC [SANTA CLARA, CA] announced that it has appointed Peter Leav to the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective February 3, 2020. Leav will succeed Chris Young, who has decided to step down as Chief Executive Officer of McAfee. Young will remain at McAfee in an advisory role to assist with the transition and will become a Senior Advisor at TPG Capital. Leav will also be appointed to McAfee’s Board of Managers. Leav most recently served as President, CEO and a board member of BMC Software, Inc. Prior to joining BMC Software, Leav served as: President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Polycom, Inc.; Executive Vice President and President, Industry and Field Operations, of NCR Corporation; and Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Motorola, Inc. Earlier in his career, Leav held executive sales leadership positions at Symbol Technologies, Inc. and Cisco Systems, Inc. He currently serves on the boards of Box and Proofpoint.
Herbivore Botanicals [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the appointment of Sandy Saputo to serve as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2020. For the past three years, Saputo was Chief Marketing Officer of KENDO Brands. Saputo will become a member of Herbivore’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining KENDO Brands in 2017, Saputo spent 5 years as Chief Marketing Officer of Shiseido’s Bare Minerals brand, and before that, had an 8-year executive term at Procter and Gamble.
Emburse [LOS ANGELES & PORTLAND, ME] has named Eric Friedrichsen as chief executive officer. Prior to Emburse, Friedrichsen was global head of commercial, SMB and growth markets for Marketo, a division of Adobe. Before Marketo, Friedrichsen was SVP and general manager for SAP’s North American mid-market and ecosystems division. Previously, he spent eight years in leadership positions at SAP Concur, in addition to roles at Business Objects and Information Builders.
AAC Holdings, Inc. [BRENTWOOD, TN] (OTC: AACH) announced the promotion of its Chief Financial Officer, Andrew McWilliams, to Chief Executive Officer, effective Jan. 24. The move allows Michael Cartwright, who has been filling the role of CEO and Chairman of the Board since 2011, to devote his full-time attention to his role as Chairman. McWilliams joined AAC in 2014 as Chief Accounting Officer and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2018.
Milestone Technologies [FREMONT, CA] announced that Sameer Kishore has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Milestone. Nelson Eng has stepped down from his role as President and Chief Executive Officer and has been named Senior Advisor to Milestone. Before joining Milestone, Kishore was the GM of IBM’s Financial Services business. Prior to IBM, Kishore was President at Dell Services/NTT Data. Prior to Dell Services/NTT Sameer spent over 19 years in various roles with Wipro in the US and India.
Boise Cascade Company [Boise, ID] (NYSE: BCC) announced that Nate Jorgensen will become its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective March 6, 2020. Jorgensen will replace Tom Corrick, who will be retiring from his roles as CEO and director after nearly 37 years with Boise Cascade. Jorgensen will also replace Corrick’s seat on the Board of Directors. Jorgensen joined the Boise Cascade engineered wood products (EWP) marketing team in 2015 and was promoted to senior vice president in 2017 and was named chief operating officer in January 2019. Jorgensen recently joined the board of directors for the American Wood Council.
Hoffman Southwest [MISSION VIEJO, CA] announced the hiring of Ken Biele as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining HSW, Biele served as CEO of Advanced Micro Instruments. Biele also served as CEO for JWC Environmental. Prior to JWC, Biele spent 16 years at Emmerson Electric with senior roles in strategic planning, business development and general management.
Wayside Technology Group, Inc. [EATONTOWN, NJ] (NASDAQ: WSTG) has promoted Dale Foster to Chief Executive Officer and appointed him to the Company’s board of directors effective January 15, 2020. Foster joined Wayside in January 2018 as Executive Vice President and was promoted to President of Wayside’s Lifeboat Distribution business in July 2019. Prior to joining Wayside, Foster served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Promark Technology from 1997 until the company was acquired by Ingram Micro in 2012. Following the acquisition, Foster became Executive Director and General Manager of Promark Technology’s emerging vendor division, which operated as a subsidiary of Ingram Micro.
Startek [GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO and MUMBAI, India] (NYSE:SRT) has appointed Aparup Sengupta as executive chairman and global chief executive officer, effective January 15, 2020. Sengupta will replace Lance Rosenzweig, who is stepping down from his role as president and global CEO to pursue other opportunities. Sengupta has served as Startek’s chairman of the board of directors since the business combination with Aegis on July 20, 2018. Previously, Sengupta was the executive chairman of The Minacs Group. Prior to that, he spent over eight years as global CEO and managing director for Aegis.
Accellix, Inc. [SAN JOSE, CA] announced the appointment of Nir Nimrodi as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Nimrodi has served as the Executive Chairman of Accellix since June 2019. In his most recent role, Nimrodi served as the Chief Business Officer of Intrexon Corporation. Prior to Intrexon, Nimrodi held several executive roles at Life Technologies. While at Life, Nimrodi served as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Life Technologies Israel, Head of Protein Technologies, as well as Vice President and General Manager of Food Safety and Animal Health. Prior to his 7 years at Life Technologies, he was the CEO of Proneuron Biotechnologies and Mindsense Biosystems. Earlier in his career, Nimrodi was a Director of Finance for Teva Pharmaceuticals.
Trinity Industries, Inc. [DALLAS] (NYSE: TRN) announced that E. Jean Savage, a member of the Company’s Board of Directors and Vice President of the Surface Mining & Technology division of Caterpillar Inc. has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and President, effective February 17, 2020. Savage will remain a member of the Board.
TOR Minerals International, Inc. [CORPUS CHRISTI, TX] announced the appointment of James B. Roecker to the position of Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Roecker’s appointment became effective November 6, 2019. In conjunction with this appointment, Olaf Karasch, who had served as CEO since July 2006, has been appointed President and Chief Technical Officer. Roecker most recent role was Chief Executive Officer of Georgia Biomass, LLC.
The National Geographic Society [WASHINGTON] has named Jill Tiefenthaler as chief executive officer. Tiefenthaler has served as president of Colorado College since 2011 and will assume her new role in August 2020.
Nav [DRAPER, UT] announced that the company has unanimously approved the appointment of Greg Ott as Chief Executive Officer. Levi King, Nav’s co-founder, has stepped down from his role as CEO and has been named Executive Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.
Ankura [WASHINGTON] announced that it has promoted Kevin Lavin, Ankura’s Co-President since January 2016 to the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2020. Lavin succeeds Roger Carlile, who has stepped down from the role after founding the firm in 2014. Carlile will remain engaged with the strategic direction of Ankura, serving as the non-executive chairman of its Board of Directors. Prior to joining Ankura in 2016, Lavin was appointed by the then-governor of New Jersey to serve as the emergency manager of Atlantic City, New Jersey. He also previously served as the global segment-leader of a major global consulting firm.
AdhereTech [New York] announced that it has appointed Chris O’Brien as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Josh Stein, AdhereTech’s Cofounder and founding CEO, will continue to serve as both President and as a Member of the company’s Board of Directors. Chris O’Brien was most recently General Manager of the Healthcare Professional business at Everyday.
Boxlight Corporation [LAWRENCEVILLE, GA] (NASDAQ: BOXL) announced that Harold Bevis has been named its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mark Elliott, who had served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since September 2014, will continue to serve the Company in the role of Chief Commercial Officer and Director. Prior to accepting the position of CEO and Chairman, Bevis served as an independent director on Boxlight’s board of directors since March 2018. Prior to joining the Boxlight’s board of directors, Bevis served as president of OmniMax International, Inc. and president and chief executive officer of Xerium Technologies, Inc.
The Philadelphia Inquirer [PHILADELPHIA, PA] announced the appointment of media executive Lisa Hughes as Publisher and Chief Executive Officer, replacing Terry Egger, who recently told The Inquirer’s board of his plans to retire. The leadership transition will be effective on February 3, 2020.
Altisource Asset Management Corporation [CHRISTIANSTED, U.S. Virgin Islands] (NYSE American: AAMC) announced the hiring of Indroneel Chatterjee as the Company’s new Co-Chief Executive Officer. Chatterjee will also become a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. The current Chief Executive Officer, George Ellison, will continue as co-Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. Chatterjee has served as a consultant to various businesses since March 2019 and previously served as Senior Vice President, New Business Initiatives of Altisource Solutions, Inc. from September 2018 to March 2019. Chatterjee served as Chief Financial Officer of ASPS from October 2017 to August 2018. Prior to joining ASPS, he served as Head of Credit Solutions, Global Markets at Nomura Securities.
Builders FirstSource, Inc. [DALLAS] (Nasdaq: BLDR) announced that Chad Crow, its Chief Executive Officer, has decided to retire after 20 years of service with the Company. Crow will retire during 2020 after assisting the Board of Directors in hiring his replacement.
Twinlab Consolidated Holdings, Inc. [Boca Raton, FL] announced it has appointed Dan DiPofi as its new Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this new position, DiPofi served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Buffalo Sabers of the National Hockey League and has held senior executive positions within the sports and entertainment industry for over 20 years.
Innovative Foodservice Group [TAMPA, FL] has announced that Iain Whyte has joined the Company as Chief Executive Officer. Whyte succeeds Robert Pickering, who will assume the role of Executive Chairman and will remain on the IFG Board of Directors. Whyte was most recently the CEO of Pelican Water Systems, based in Deland, FL. Prior to Pelican, Whyte was the CEO of Premier Bathrooms Group, and previously spent over 20 years in the foodservice equipment industry in the USA, Europe and Asia.
Ivenix, Inc. [BOSTON] announced the appointment of Jorgen B. Hansen as CEO and a member of Ivenix’s board of directors. Prior to joining Ivenix, Hansen spent seven years serving in leadership positions at Cantel Medical Corporation most recently as president and CEO. Before that, Hansen served as senior vice president for global strategy and marketing, business development, science and innovation at ConvaTec.
The Boeing Company [CHICAGO] (NYSE: BA) announced David L. Calhoun assumed the role of president and chief executive officer. Calhoun has served in various senior leadership roles within several large-scale enterprises including at the Blackstone Group, Nielsen Holdings and GE. Calhoun has served on the Boeing Board of Directors since 2009 and served as chairman from October 11 to December 22, 2019.
PCS Software, Inc. [HOUSTON] has announced that Chris Poelma has been appointed to lead PCS as its Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2020. Chris was most recently the President and General Manager of the Small Business Division of NCR where he oversaw the expansion of NCR’s SaaS suite of solutions to restaurants globally.
DNAtrix [HOUSTON] announced that Jeffrey Knapp has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer and to the Board of Directors. Stephen Dilly has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Knapp most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Aimmune Therapeutics Previously, Knapp held several executive and senior management positions in biopharmaceutical companies at similar stages of growth.
Olaplex [SANTA BARBARA, CA] announced the appointment of JuE Wong as Chief Executive Officer. Wong most recently served as the CEO of Moroccanoil. Prior to joining Moroccanoil, Wong served as President of Elizabeth Arden, CEO of Strivectin and CEO of Astral Health & Beauty and held numerous leadership roles at companies including Dial Corp., Murad Inc., NV Perricone MD Ltd., Cargill Inc. and PepsiCo.
Surgery Partners, Inc. [BRENTWOOD, TN] (NASDAQ: SGRY) announced the appointment of Wayne S. DeVeydt to Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Surgery Partners. Eric Evans has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Surgery Partners and has also been appointed to the Board of Directors. Evans has held the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since April 2019. Prior to joining Surgery Partners, Evans spent nearly 15 years in a range of operating and strategic roles in the healthcare services sector, including serving as President of Hospital Operations at Tenet Healthcare Corporation. From 2004 until 2018, Evans held various other positions within Tenet Healthcare Corporation, including chief executive officer of Tenet’s former Texas region and market chief executive officer of The Hospitals of in El Paso.
Boston IVF [WALTHAM, MA] announced that it has appointed David Stern as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 6, 2020. Prior to Boston IVF, Stern served as CEO of Symbiomix Therapeutics. Stern has held leadership roles at Merck Serono, as its Senior Vice President and Head of the Global Business Franchise for Fertility, as well as at EMD Serono, as the biopharmaceutical business’ Executive Vice President of Endocrinology.
Access Living [CHICAGO] announced that Karen Tamley has been named the next President and CEO effective March 2, 2020. Daisy Feidt, who is currently serving as Acting CEO, will return to her position as Executive Vice President at Access Living.
Blucora, Inc. [IRVING, TX] (NASDAQ: BCOR) announced that President and Chief Executive Officer John Clendening has departed his roles as executive and member of the Board of Directors. The Company anticipates announcing a new CEO by the end of January 2020. To ensure a smooth transition for the Company and its employees, advisors and customers, Blucora has established an interim Office of the CEO, comprised of Executive Leadership Team members Enrique Vasquez, Curtis Campbell, Todd Mackay and Ann Bruder, which will lead the company and report to an Oversight Committee of the Company’s Board of Directors. Vasquez will continue to oversee the wealth management business, and Campbell will continue to oversee the TaxAct business. Mackay will oversee the closing of the HK Financial Services (HKFS) acquisition, as well as spearhead the operational improvements of Avantax Wealth Management (AWM) and continue to lead business operations, and Bruder will oversee certain administrative and staff functions during the interim period.
Gateway Bobcat, LLC [ST. LOUIS] announced the appointment of Mike Allen as its new CEO, effective January 1, 2020. Allen, who served as President of Gateway Bobcat, succeeds the Company’s founder Dan Anich in the role. Dan has led the Company since its founding in 1990 and will continue to serve as an advisor and member of the Board of Directors.
Alpha [NEW YORK] announced that it has named Rob Holland as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer. Thor Ernstsson, the company’s co-founder and previous CEO will continue to serve on the company’s Board of Directors. Most recently, Holland was COO of Bluecore Inc. Prior to Bluecore, Holland was Group Vice President, General Manager of Advertiser Solutions at Oracle Data Cloud, and founded the Datalogix CPG business prior to its acquisition by Oracle.
Raptor Scientific [NEWPORT BEACH, CA] announced that it has appointed Derek Coppinger to Chief Executive Officer. Coppinger has also joined the Company’s Board of Directors. Previously Coppinger served as vice president at Newcastle Systems, member of board at ESC Lab Sciences, chairman of board at ACIL; senior vice president, chief sales and marketing officer, and chief operating officer at National Technical Systems, and director of sales and marketing at NQA Global.
25madison [NEW YORK] announced that Dan Kessler has been named CEO of its latest internally incubated company, which is expected to launch in mid-2020. Kessler will be joining 25madison from his previous post at Headspace as the VP of Global Business Development.
Tetra Pak [DENTON, TX] announced that Jeff Fielkow has been named president and CEO of Tetra Pak U.S. and Canada. Fielkow previously held the dual positions of managing director of Tetra Pak Vietnam and vice president of sustainability for Tetra Pak’s Asia Pacific region. Fielkow first joined Tetra Pak in 2009 as vice president of sustainability and recycling for the U.S. Fielkow left the company in 2011 to serve as chief sales and marketing officer at ReCommunity Recycling, returning to Tetra Pak to lead sustainability in South Asia, East Asia and Oceania in 2015.
