Grant Thornton LLP [CHICAGO, IL] announced that Bradley J. Preber will serve as the firm’s CEO. Preber has been serving as Grant Thornton’s interim CEO since June 2019 – and will now serve as the firm’s CEO through July 31, 2022. Preber joined Grant Thornton in 2004, after serving as a partner at Arthur Andersen. Preber has held numerous leadership roles at Grant Thornton, including: national managing partner of Business Risk Services; office managing partner in Phoenix; and chairman of the firm’s Partnership Board.
Robert Half International Inc. [MENLO PARK, CA] (NYSE: RHI) announced that Harold M. (Max) Messmer, Jr., its Chairman and CEO for 33 years, will continue as Executive Chairman but retire from his position as CEO, effective December 15, 2019. Messmer will be succeeded as CEO by M. Keith Waddell. Waddell’s current title is Vice Chairman, President and CFO; he has served as Robert Half’s CFO for more than 30 years.
SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc. [ORLANDO, FL] (NYSE: SEAS) announced the appointment of Sergio (Serge) D. Rivera to the position of Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Marc Swanson, who assumed the position of Interim Chief Executive Officer in September 2019, will return to his former role as Chief Financial Officer. Rivera previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of ILG, Inc.’s Vacation Ownership Segment. Prior to ILG, Rivera was the President of the Americas for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide
Stratix Corporation [NORCROSS, GA] announced the appointment of Louis M. Alterman as President, CEO and member of the Board of Directors, effective December 1, 2019. Gina Gallo is stepping down from the day-to-day duties of CEO to pursue other opportunities outside the company. Alterman most recently served as the CFO of Rackspace. Prior to Rackspace, he spent 14 years at Earthlink, most recently serving as CFO.
CannaCraft, Inc. [SANTA ROSA, CA] announced the appointment of Jim Hourigan as Chief Executive Officer. Hourigan joined the Company as Chief Operating Officer in January 2019 and will be taking over for Dennis Hunter, CannaCraft’s Co-founder, who has served as interim CEO since April of this year. Prior to joining CannaCraft, Hourigan served in executive positions with several ecommerce, consumer and medical device companies including A. H. Robins, Medline, London International, A.C. Nielsen, and most recently as the Chief Operating Officer of BuildDirect, Inc.
Biodesix, Inc. [BOULDER, CO] announced that current Chief Operating Officer Scott Hutton will become Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2020. Current CEO David Brunel will assume the role of Chairman. Prior to joining Biodesix, Hutton was the Sr. Vice President and General Manager, Vascular Interventions at Spectranetics, and Vice President and General Manager, Neurosurgery at Medtronic.
riskmethods [MUNICH & BOSTON, MA] has announced the hiring of Patrik Heider as the company’s first Chief Executive Officer, joining riskmethods in January 2020. Heider currently serves as Spokesman of the Executive Board and CFOO at the Nemetschek Group.
Zemax [KIRKLAND, WA] announced today that S. Subbiah has been named Chief Executive Officer. Mark Nicholson is stepping down to begin retirement. Subbiah joined Zemax in April 2019, as Chief Product Officer. Prior to joining Zemax, Subbiah was a Vice President at ANSYS, Inc.
Pier 1 Imports, Inc. [FORT WORTH, TX] (NYSE: PIR) announced the appointment of Robert Riesbeck as Chief Executive Officer and as a director of the Company. Riesbeck will also continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer. As planned, Cheryl Bachelder, who has served as Interim Chief Executive Officer since December 2018, has stepped down from that role and will continue in her position as a member of Pier 1’s Board of Directors. Riesbeck has served as Pier 1’s Chief Financial Officer since July 2019, and previously was Chief Financial Officer of FULLBEAUTY Brands as well as an operating executive at private equity firm Sun Capital Partners.
Building Industry Consulting Service International [TAMPA, FL] announced that BICSI has selected John H. Daniels as the new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Association, effective January 1, 2020. Daniels currently serves as Global Vice President in the analytics department of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Force.
Laboratory for Advanced Medicine [IRVINE, CA] announced the appointment of Kenneth Chahine as Chief Executive Officer and board member, succeeding Founder Shu Li who will continue to serve as Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors. Most recently Chahine led the launch of AncestryHealth. Prior to Ancestry, he was the Chief Executive Officer at Avigen.
NiKang Therapeutics [WILMINGTON, DE] announced the appointment of Y. Peter Li as Chief Executive Officer and Board Director. Li is the co-founder and founding CEO of Turning Point Therapeutics, Inc. Li served as Chairman and CEO of TP from 2013 to 2018 and continued to serve as a Director. Prior to TP, Li served as Executive Vice President at Epitomics, and prior to Epitomics, Li was Vice President at Kenson Ventures, LLC.
Palm Coast Data [PALM COAST, FL] has announced that long time President and CEO, Rory Burke, is retiring at the end of this year. To maintain continuity, former Palm Coast Data CEO, John Meneough, will step in to take the reins as interim President and CEO.
The Women’s Foodservice Forum [DALLAS, TX] announced that following an extensive search, Therese Gearhart has been selected to serve as the organization’s new President and CEO. Gearhart will take over the role from Denny Marie Post. Post will continue to serve on the Board as immediate past Chair.
Red Lion Hotels Corporation [DENVER, CO] (NYSE: RLH) announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Greg Mount, resigned his position with the Company. Mount has also resigned from the Company’s Board of Directors.. Until the Company appoints a new chief executive officer, a management committee comprised of executives will oversee the operations of the Company. The members of the management committee include Gary Sims, EVP and Chief Operating Officer, Julie Shiflett, EVP and Chief Financial Officer, and Thomas L. McKeirnan, EVP and General Counsel.
Teradata [SAN DIEGO] (NYSE: TDC) announced that Victor Lund, the Executive Chairman of the Teradata Board of Directors, has been appointed Interim President and Chief Executive Officer. Oliver Ratzesberger, as of November 5, 2019, is no longer serving as President and Chief Executive Officer and he has resigned from Teradata’s board. Lund will continue in his role as Executive Chairman. Lund previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Teradata from May 2016 until his appointment as Executive Chairman in January 2019. Lund has been a member of Teradata’s board since 2007 and was the Chair of the Audit Committee from 2007 until May 2016.
Connectivity Wireless [ATLANTA, GA] announced a change in leadership, with Paul McGinn being named CEO and Stephen Bye returning to the board of directors. McGinn has successfully founded and served in leadership roles at various wireless infrastructure companies, including Neutral Connect Networks, SBA, Vertical Bridge, CiG Wireless Corporations, and TCP Communications.
T1D Exchange [BOSTON, MA] has named David Walton as Chief Executive Officer. Having served as interim CEO since April 2019, Walton will assume permanent responsibilities and will remain on T1D Exchange’s Board of Directors, which he joined in 2018. Most recently, Walton served as Chief Commercial Officer of QuiO.
Contentful [SAN FRANCISCO & BERLIN] announced the appointment of Steve Sloan as Chief Executive Officer. Sloan succeeds co-founder Sascha Konietzke, who will remain an active board member and transition to a new role as Chief Strategy Officer. Sloan was most recently Chief Product and Marketing Officer at Twilio SendGrid, and previously Senior Vice President of Product, Engineering & Operations at Marketo.
Etiometry Inc. [BOSTON, MA] announced that Shane Cooke was recently appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer. Former Etiometry CEO and Co-founder, Evan Butler, is taking on a new role as Chief Operating Officer. Before joining Etiometry, Cooke spent more than five years as Chief Strategy Officer of Cheetah Medical.
Barnana® [SANTA MONICA, CA] has brought in Al Multari, to lead the team as CEO. Multari Succeeds Barnana Founder and former CEO, Caue Suplicy. Multari was previously the CEO of Nissin USA. Prior to Nissin, Multari spent a total of 18 years at Nestlé USA, where he held a variety of roles in marketing and sales, including President of Nestle’s $1B baking division.
Lockton [KANSAS CITY, MO] announced the appointment of Peter Clune as Chief Executive Officer, effective May 1, 2020. Clune has been with Lockton for 13 years, most recently serving as U.S. President and COO. Clune replaces Ron Lockton, who is being named Chairman of the firm.
BBB National Programs, Inc. [ARLINGTON, VA] announced the appointment of Eric D. Reicin as President and Chief Executive Officer. Reicin joins BBB NP after most recently serving as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for MorganFranklin Consulting, LLC. and its parent, MorganFranklin, Inc. Prior to joining MorganFranklin, Reicin served as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at diversified financial services company Sallie Mae.
Litehouse, Inc. [SANDPOINT, ID] announced that it has promoted Kelly Prior to the position of President and CEO. Prior previously held the role of President at Litehouse. Prior joined Litehouse in 2002 and became CFO by 2005. In 2010 Prior was appointed Executive Vice President of the company, took on the role of Interim President in 2018, and officially moved into the President role in February of 2019.
Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. [HAMILTON, Bermuda] (NYSE: ARGO) announced the retirement of Mark E. Watson III as Chief Executive Officer. The Board of Directors has named Kevin J. Rehnberg as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Watson will continue to serve as a member of the Board and as an advisor to the Company until December 30, 2019 to ensure a smooth transition. Since January 1, 2019, Rehnberg has been President, Argo Group U.S., Inc., head of the Americas and Chief Administrative Officer. From March 2013 to January 2019, Rehnberg was President of Argo’s U.S. Operations. Before joining the Company, Rehnberg served as executive vice president for specialty lines at OneBeacon Insurance. Prior to that, Rehnberg held positions at The St. Paul Travelers Companies, Liberty International and Chubb Corporation.
Ichor Holdings, Ltd. [FREMONT, CA] (NASDAQ: ICHR) announced the transition of Tom Rohrs to executive chairman of the company and the promotion of Jeff Andreson to chief executive officer, effective January 6, 2020.
Primo Water Corporation [WINSTON-SALEM, NC] (Nasdaq: PRMW) announced that Billy D. Prim, the Company’s Founder, Executive Chairman, and former Chairman & CEO, has been appointed Interim President and CEO. Matt Sheehan was terminated as President and CEO and has resigned as a member of the Primo Water Board of Directors.
Montefiore Medicine [NEW YORK] announced that Philip O. Ozuah has been named the next Chief Executive Officer of Montefiore Medicine, the umbrella organization for Montefiore Health System (MHS) and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Ozuah replaces outgoing CEO Steven Safyer. Ozuah currently serves as President of Montefiore Health System and previously served as Physician-in-Chief of the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore.
The Natural Resources Defense Council [NEW YORK] has named Gina McCarthy as President and Chief Executive Officer, McCarthy was the former U.S. EPA chief under President Barack Obama. McCarthy starts at NRDC January 6th, 2020.
NavaDerm Partners [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of John Murphy as Chief Executive Officer. Murphy has previously served as Regional Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Humana. Prior to Humana, Murphy was Chief Executive Officer at Delaware Valley Urology.
Delta Dental of Wisconsin [STEVENS POINT, WI] announced Doug Ballweg as president and CEO, effective November 2, 2019. Ballweg replaces former president and CEO Dennis Peterson, who has retired after more than 41 years with Delta Dental. Peterson will now serve as the president of the Delta Dental of Wisconsin Foundation. Ballweg joined Delta Dental in August 2010 as vice president, finance and chief financial officer and was subsequently promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the company, Ballweg was a partner with Strohm Ballweg, LLP for 11 years.
Minnetronix Medical, Inc. [ST. PAUL, MN] announced that the company’s President, Jeremy Maniak, will succeed founder Richard Nazarian as CEO on February 1, 2020. Maniak is a nine-year veteran of Minnetronix and was named COO in 2013.
HARTE GOLD CORP. [TORONTO, ON] (TSX: HRT) announced Sam Coetzer as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director. Most recently, Coetzer was President and Chief Executive Officer of Golden Star Resources Ltd. Prior to Golden Star, Coetzer held numerous senior management positions for global mining companies, including Senior Vice President, South American Operations for Kinross Gold, COO of Xstrata Nickel, COO of Xstrata Coal South Africa and Managing Director for Placer Dome Inc. in Africa.
Lincoln Military Housing [HERNDON, VA] announced that current President and Chief Executive Officer Jarl Bliss is retiring from the company at the end of this year. The company has elected to create a new dual CEO position effective January 1, 2020, giving new leadership opportunities and internal promotions to LMH’s Christy Pemble and Philip Rizzo. Rizzo will retain his current responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer. Rizzo has served as Senior Vice President and COO for LMH since 2012. Pemble joined LMH in 2005 and has served as LMH’s national Vice President for Accounting and Finance for the past two years. Prior to taking on her current role, Pemble led the oversight of LMH’s Mid-Atlantic portfolio as VP of Asset Management.
