Orthofix Medical Inc. [LEWISVILLE, TX] (NASDAQ: OFIX) announced the appointment of Jon Serbousek as President and Chief Executive Officer. Serbousek will also serve on the Company’s Board of Directors. Serbousek succeeds former President and CEO Brad Mason who had previously announced his plans to retire. Serbousek served in several leadership positions at Biomet Inc., including Worldwide President of Biomet Biologics, Worldwide Group President of Orthopedics, and President of U.S. Orthopedics. Prior to joining Biomet, Serbousek held various general management positions within Medtronic Inc., including Worldwide Division President, Spine, and Worldwide Vice President and General Manager of Biologics for their Spine and Biologics business.
Magellan Health, Inc. [PHOENIX, AZ] (NASDAQ: MGLN) announced that the Company has appointed Kenneth J. Fasola as Chief Executive Officer, effective November 14, 2019. Fasola will succeed the current CEO Barry M. Smith, who will remain to assist with the transition as needed. Fasola will join Magellan Health after a successful leadership career spanning three decades in the healthcare industry. Most recently, Fasola served as president and chief executive officer of HealthMarkets, Inc. Prior to joining HealthMarkets, Fasola was responsible for Humana’s individual major medical, specialty and supplemental insurance operations. Prior to that, he was chief executive officer for Secure Horizons. Additionally, Fasola served as chief executive officer of UnitedHealth Care’s Central region and as National Sales Officer and president of UnitedHeath Care lines of business.
Rigado [PORTLAND, OR] announced Sean Riley has been appointed by the board as its new Chief Executive Officer. In this capacity, he will also join the Rigado Board of Directors. Interim President, Greg Rau, will move to the Chief Operating Officer role. Riley has served in executive positions at Intel, Lattice Semiconductor, TriQuint/Qorvo, and most recently at Data I/O.
Criteo S.A. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: CRTO) announced the appointment of Megan Clarken as Chief Executive Officer, effective November 25, 2019. Criteo’s founding Chairman and CEO JB Rudelle remains in his role as Chairman. Clarken spent fifteen years in various positions at Nielsen, and was recently Chief Commercial Officer of Nielsen Global Media.
Phoenix Rehabilitation and Health Services, Inc. [BLAIRSVILLE, PA] announced that Chris Ciatto has been named as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Ciatto was the Executive Vice President and Chief Growth Officer for Elior North America. Prior to Elior, Ciatto served as the Chief Executive Officer for Plus One Health Management and later as Senior Vice President of Prevention Solutions for OptumHealth.
Protegrity [STAMFORD, CT] announced that Rick Farnell will join the company as its new CEO. Farnell joins Protegrity following a successful 20-year career in the technology industry having held executive positions for pioneers such as C-bridge Internet Solutions, Sun Microsystems, Think Big Analytics and Teradata Corporation. Most recently, Farnell served as Senior Vice President responsible for Teradata’s global consulting business.
Catalina [ST. PETERSBURG, FL] has named Wayne Powers as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Powers will succeed Jerry Sokol Jr., who will serve as a strategic advisor to Catalina to support a seamless leadership transition. Powers most recently served as President of Valassis. Prior to joining Valassis in 2015, Powers held executive roles at Gravity4, Parade Media Group, and at Yahoo! in North America.
Conversica, Inc. [FOSTER CITY, CA] announced that Jim Kaskade has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Most recently Kaskade served as the CEO of Janrain, which was acquired by Akamai Technologies in January 2019. Prior to Janrain, Kaskade was the Vice President and General Manager for Computer Sciences Corporation (now DXC).
Roche Diagnostics Corporation [INDIANAPOLIS, IN] (OTCQX: RHHBY) announced the appointment of Matthew Sause as President and Chief Executive Officer, North America. Sause succeeds Jack Phillips, who left Roche Diagnostics at the end of August. Sause joins Roche Diagnostics from Gilead Sciences, where he was Senior Vice President and Head of Global Commercial Product Strategy. Previously, Sause had a 17-year career with the Roche Group. In the Diagnostics division at Roche from 2002-14, Sause’s experience included U.S.-based sales roles in Molecular Diagnostics, commercial operations positions in Asia, and country leadership in Ireland. In the Pharmaceuticals division from 2014-19, Sause served as President of Country Operations in Peru and Korea before becoming Vice President and Lifecycle Leader for Roche’s cancer medicine Tecentriq, a global role based at Genentech, member of the Roche Group, in South San Francisco.
Sotheby’s [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Charles F. Stewart as Chief Executive Officer. Stewart succeeds Tad Smith, who served as CEO of Sotheby’s since 2015. Stewart joins Sotheby’s from Altice USA, where he has served as Co-President and Chief Financial Officer since 2016. He assumed the role at Altice USA following more than two decades of operations, financial and corporate leadership experience in the U.S., Latin America and Europe, most recently as CEO of Itau BBA International plc. Prior to that, he spent 19 years at Morgan Stanley as an investment banker in various leadership and client-facing roles, based in New York, Brazil and London.
Six Flags Entertainment Corporation [GRAND PRAIRIE, TX] (NYSE: SIX) announced that it has appointed Mike Spanos as President and Chief Executive Officer effective November 18, 2019, and as a member of the Board of Directors. Jim Reid-Anderson, Chairman, President and CEO, will resign as a director and an officer of the company effective November 18, 2019. Spanos most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo, Asia, Middle East and North Africa. Spanos previously held commercial general management roles of increasing responsibility at PepsiCo since 1993, first starting as a frontline territory manager in North America. He has served across multiple international markets for more than seven of his 25 years with PepsiCo.
Luminary Media [NEW YORK] announced that Simon Sutton, former President and Chief Revenue Officer of HBO, has joined Luminary as CEO. Matt Sacks, who founded Luminary in 2018, will serve as Executive Chairman of Luminary. Prior to joining Luminary, Sutton served as President and Chief Revenue Officer at HBO from 2016 to 2019. Prior to HBO, Sutton spent ten years in International Television at MGM, being promoted to Executive Vice President and head of the division.
3 Bear Energy, LLC [DENVER, CO] announced that Craig S. Harris will join the Company as its Chief Executive Officer. Bob Clark, 3 Bear’s Founder, Chairman and current CEO will remain Chairman of 3 Bear’s Board of Directors. Harris joins 3 Bear from Enable Midstream Partners, L.P., where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Before becoming Chief Operating Officer, Harris served as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Enable Midstream Partners, L.P. and has previously held managerial, business development and senior engineering positions with Columbia Pipeline Group, Ni Source, and El Paso Corporation.
Obalon Therapeutics, Inc. [SAN DIEGO] (NASDAQ: OBLN) announced that William J. Plovanic has been promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer, from his prior position of President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Obalon in March 2016, Plovanic spent 20 years as an equity research analyst for several investment banks and worked with medical device companies.
BioAlberta [EDMONTON, AB] announced that Robb Stoddard has been appointed BioAlberta’s new President and CEO. The appointment will take effect January 1, 2020, upon the retirement of current President and CEO, Mel Wong. Prior to his appointment as President and CEO of BioAlberta, Stoddard served BioAlberta as Manager, Memberships and Partnerships. Prior to joining BioAlberta, Stoddard has been a consultant to emerging companies in the technology and health sectors and an executive with numerous technology related companies.
Mindstrong Health [MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA] announced that Daniel Graf has been appointed CEO. Before joining Mindstrong, Graf led product at Uber, including a cross-functional team of over 1,000 people. Prior to Uber, Graf served as vice president of consumer products at Twitter, and senior director of Geo Consumer at Google. Before Google, he was co-founder and CEO of Kyte, a pioneer in mobile video technology.
Selective Insurance Group, Inc. [BRANCHVILLE, NJ] (NASDAQ: SIGI) announced that John J. Marchioni, who has served as the Company’s President and Chief Operating Officer since 2013, has been unanimously elected by the Selective Board of Directors as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2020. Marchioni will succeed Gregory E. Murphy, who will retire as CEO after serving in the position since 1999. Murphy, Chairman of the Selective Board since 2000, will assume the newly created role of Executive Chairman of the Selective Board upon his retirement.
Trimble [SUNNYVALE, CA] (NASDAQ: TRMB) announced that it has selected Robert G. Painter to succeed Steven W. Berglund as president and CEO of Trimble effective January 4, 2020, the first day of Trimble’s 2020 fiscal year. Painter will also join the Trimble Board of Directors on January 4, 2020. Berglund, who has served as president and CEO since 1999, will transition to executive chairman of Trimble’s Board of Directors effective January 4, 2020. Painter joined Trimble in 2006 and initially served in corporate development and general management roles in construction telematics and a joint venture initiative. In 2015, Painter was appointed vice president of the building construction software segment. In 2016, he was appointed CFO.
Western Digital Corp. [SAN JOSE, CA] (NASDAQ: WDC) announced that Steve Milligan, chief executive officer and a member of the Western Digital Board of Directors since January 2013, has informed the Board that he intends to retire as the Company’s CEO. Milligan will continue to serve as CEO until the Board has identified and appointed a successor.
Isola [CHANDLER, AZ] has appointed Travis Kelly president and chief executive officer. Kelly most recently served as global chief operating officer at Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company (affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management). Kelly has been associated with the company since December 2018, as executive vice chairman of Isola’s board of directors and interim CEO.
PrimeLending [DALLAS, TX] announced the promotion of Steve Thompson to President and CEO. Currently the company’s President, Thompson will assume his new responsibilities beginning January 1, 2020. Todd Salmans will continue to serve as the company’s Chairman. Thompson joined PrimeLending in 2011 as the Regional Manager for the Southwest, quickly earning a promotion to Western Division Manager and then National Sales Leader and was named President of PrimeLending in 2017.
Del Real Foods [MIRA LOMA, CA] announced the appointment of Michael Axelrod as its new Chief Executive Officer. Axelrod most recently served as CEO of Passport Global Foods and Fine Choice Foods, and as President of TreeHouse Foods’ $1.5 billion Condiments division. Axelrod also has held executive positions at Whirlpool Corporation, Pactiv Corporation, McCain Foods, and Kraft Foods.
Third Pole Therapeutics [ARLINGTON, MA] has named Bill Athenson as its new Chief Executive Officer. David Zapol, Third Pole’s founding CEO, will continue providing strategic counsel to Third Pole. Most recently, Athenson served as CEO of Three Lakes Partners.
Crowd Machine [SCOTTS VALLEY, CA & PORTLAND, OR] announced COO James Hanley has been appointed CEO of the company. Founder and CEO Craig Sproule is taking on the new position of Chairmam. Hanley joined Crowd Machine as COO in March, having previously worked at Accenture, where he was managing director for journey to cloud and automation. Prior to Accenture, Hanley served as vice president and general manager at DXC.
NI [AUSTIN, TX] announced that Alex Davern will step down as Chief Executive Officer of NI, effective January 31, 2020. The NI Board of Directors has appointed current President and COO, Eric Starkloff, as NI President and CEO, effective February 1, 2020.
Modulim [IRVINE, CA] announced the appointment of Richard Oberreiter as its new Chief Executive Officer. Oberreiter succeeds Modulim’s founder, CEO and Chief Technical Officer, David Cuccia. Oberreiter has served as Modulim’s Chief Operations Officer since 2014.
