Under Armour, Inc. [BALTIMORE, MD] (NYSE: UA) announced that President & Chief Operating Officer Patrik Frisk will become the company’s Chief Executive Officer, effective Jan. 1, 2020. Frisk will serve as CEO & President, reporting to Kevin Plank and will join Under Armour’s Board of Directors. Plank, having served as Chairman and CEO since he founded the company in 1996, will become Executive Chairman & Brand Chief. Frisk joined Under Armour in 2017 following nearly 30 years of experience in the apparel, footwear and retail industry. Prior to Under Armour, Frisk was CEO of The ALDO Group. Previous to that, he spent more than a decade with VF Corporation where he held numerous leadership positions including Coalition President of Outdoor Americas (The North Face® and Timberland®), President of the Timberland® brand, President of Outdoor & Action Sports (EMEA), and Vice President and General Manager of The North Face®.
ServiceNow [SANTA CLARA, CA] (NYSE: NOW) announced that Bill McDermott will join ServiceNow by year-end 2019 as President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. McDermott will succeed John Donahoe, who is stepping down from ServiceNow to become President and Chief Executive Officer of Nike in January 2020. To ensure a smooth transition, Donahoe will remain ServiceNow’s CEO through the transition period and will retain his seat on the company’s Board of Directors for the remainder of his current term, ending in June 2020. McDermott served as CEO of SAP from 2014 until this month and was co-CEO from 2010 to 2014.
Riverpoint Medical [PORTLAND, OR] announced the appointment of Doug J. King as Chief Executive Officer. King most recently served as President of Medtronic’s Spinal business. Pat Ferguson, who has served as CEO since Riverpoint’s founding will continue as a member of the Board of Directors,
NatureSweet Tomatoes® [SAN ANTONIO, TX] announced Rodolfo Spielmann joined as its new President & Chief Executive Officer. Spielmann brings more than 23 years of experience leading the growth & development of organizations and brands in consumer goods companies, such as Procter & Gamble, Heinz, Del Monte, Mars, and most recently, Central Garden & Pet as President of its Pet Consumer business.
Trust Transparency Center [SPRING, TX] has announced that Len Monheit has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Monheit previously served as the organization’s Managing Partner and brings over two decades of industry experience and thought leadership to the position. Monheit joined Trust Transparency Center in 2017 from William Reed Business Media where he served as General Manager, North America for leading brands such as Nutraingredients-USA and FoodNavigator-US. Monheit cofounded online media company NPIcenter in 1999, which was sold to New Hope in 2006, served as Digital Media Director, and eventually assumed responsibility for New Hope’s ingredient portfolio before taking a role in Strategic Business Development.
Daiya Foods [VANCOUVER, BC] announced the appointment of Michael Watt to lead the company as CEO. Watt brings over 15 years of global experience as a CEO and general manager directing operations throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia-Pacific and the U.S. His background includes senior leadership roles in large consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, such as Mars, Wrigley, Campbell’s and Johnson & Johnson, combined with (most recently), nimble and innovative companies such as Baby Gourmet Foods.
Zing Zang, LLC [CHICAGO, IL] announced that Brent Albertson has been named Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2019. Albertson has served as Zing Zang’s President and Chief Commercial Officer since 2016 and succeeds Doug Corbett, an Operating Partner at NexPhase Capital, who will continue to serve as Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors. Albertson has served as President and Chief Customer Officer of Zing Zang since 2016. Prior to his time at Zing Zang, Albertson spent much of his career at Diageo, a global alcoholic beverage company.
Rhodes Group [ALBUQUERQUE, NM] announced W. James Brown as the new chief executive officer. Brown has almost 30 years of successful experience in information technology, services and consulting. Brown led information security teams as a system integration practice manager, a team lead for BlueCross BlueShield of NC, and eventually for Grifols (formerly Talecris). More recently, Brown has performed as the chief information officer for Presbyterian Medical Services.
The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd [NEW YORK] announced that the Executive Committee, comprised of seven LHW hoteliers, has appointed Shannon Knapp as the next President & Chief Executive Officer. Knapp, who assumed leadership responsibilities of the company in April as interim CEO, previously served as LHW’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for more than five years.
Global Precision Products, LLC [RUSH, NY] announced that Mark Higgins has been appointed to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. Higgins takes over the responsibilities from Mark LaBell, who will remain as the company’s Vice President of Sales and Innovation. Before joining Global Precision Products, LLC, Higgins recently held positions as President at Omega Tool Measuring Machines and Executive Vice President of Parlec Inc.
Codility [SAN FRANCISCO & WARSAW, Poland] announced that Natalia Panowicz has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Panowicz joined Codility in 2012 as one of the earliest employees and has remained in key roles for the last seven years.
The Michaels Companies, Inc. [IRVING, TX] (NASDAQ: MIK) announced that Mark S. Cosby has been named Chief Executive Officer. Cosby has served as Interim CEO and a member of the Board of Directors since February 2019. Before joining Michaels, Cosby most recently served as President, North America at Office Depot Inc. His previous experience includes senior executive roles as President of Retail at CVS Caremark and a variety of positions at Macy’s Inc., including President, Stores.
Claroty [NEW YORK] announced that it has named Thorsten Freitag as Chief Executive Officer. Freitag brings a broad range of experience in global sales, services and general management at networking and security leaders in both the IT and OT segments, including, Chief Revenue Officer at Druva and Infoblox, head of EMEA operations at F5 Networks, and international leadership roles at Cisco Systems and Siemens.
RateGain [SAN FRANCISCO] appointed Harmeet Singh as its new Chief Executive Officer.Prior to RateGain, Harmeet was an Executive Partner at MDP Telecom, Formerly, Harmeet was a President, Cloud Services at j2 Global, Inc. Following Harmeet’s appointment, Bhanu Chopra, Founder & CEO of RateGain, is being elevated to Founder & Chairman.
BlackThorn Therapeutics, Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the promotion of company co-founder William J. Martin to chief executive officer and his appointment to the Board of Directors. Martin has previously served as the company’s president and chief operating officer, as well as its chief scientific officer. Prior to joining BlackThorn, Martin held multiple leadership positions at Theravance Biopharma.
Rheos Medicines [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced the appointment of Barbara S. Fox to Chief Executive Officer. Fox succeeds interim Chief Executive Officer, Abbie Celniker a partner at Third Rock Ventures, who will remain Chairman of Rheos Medicines’ board of directors. Fox joins the Company from Tilos Therapeutics. Fox served as Chief Executive Officer at Tilos and led the successful acquisition of the company by Merck in June of this year. Previous positions include Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Partners Innovation Fund, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Avaxia Biologics, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Recovery Pharmaceuticals, and VP, Discovery and Immunology at ImmuLogic Pharmaceutical Corp.
Universal Technical Institute, Inc. [SCOTTSDALE, AZ] (NYSE: UTI) announced that Kimberly J. McWaters has advised the Board that she will retire as Chief Executive Officer effective October 31, 2019. McWaters will continue to serve on the Board of Directors as a non-executive director. Jerome A. Grant, the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer will become Chief Executive Officer and join the Board of Directors on November 1, 2019. Prior to his role as Chief Operating Officer, Grant spent more than two decades in executive leadership roles at both Pearson Education and McGraw Hill. Grant served for more than ten years as President of Pearson’s Business and Technology skills division.
Scholle IPN [NORTHLAKE, IL] announced the appointment of Ross Bushnell as their new President and CEO. Bushnell has 15 years of experience leading global packaging businesses as diverse as Silgan, Mondi and Sonoco Products.
Zeal Credit Union [LIVONIA, MI] announced the appointment of Julie Kreinbring as President/Chief Executive Officer. Kreinbring succeeds long-time CEO Anthony Carnarvon. Kreinbring most recently served as the Executive Vice President/Chief Strategy Officer of Zeal. Immediately prior to joining ZEAL, she Kreinbring served as the Executive Vice President of ACCU.
eXp Realty [BELLINGHAM, WA] a subsidiary of eXp World Holdings, Inc., announced that Jason Gesing has been named CEO and will remain a member of the eXp World Holdings Board of Directors. Gesing has been a critical part of eXp Realty since joining the company in March 2010 and has served in a number of capacities, most recently as Executive Vice President, Business Development, for eXp World Holdings.
Sonde Health Inc. [BOSTON, MA] announced that David Liu has joined Sonde as chief executive officer and a member of its board of directors. Liu most recently served as president and chief operating officer at Quartet. Before Quartet, Liu was president and chief operating officer at Knewton.
California Pharmacists Association [SACRAMENTO, CA] announced that Jon R. Roth has resigned as Chief Executive Officer.
Whitefoord [ATLANTA, GA] announced that Jean O’Connor, has joined Whitefoord as its new Chief Executive Officer. From 2013-2018, O’Connor served as the Chronic Disease Director for the State of Georgia.
NIKE, Inc. [BEAVERTON, OR] (NYSE: NKE) announced that John Donahoe will be appointed as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective Jan. 13, 2020. At the same time, Mark Parker, CEO since 2006 and Chairman, President & CEO since 2016, will become Executive Chairman and continue to lead the Board of Directors and work closely with Donahoe and the senior management team. Donahoe is the current President and CEO of ServiceNow, Inc. and also serves on its Board of Directors. He is Chairman of PayPal Holdings, Inc. From 2008 through 2015, Donahoe was President and CEO of eBay, Inc. and previously was the CEO and Worldwide Managing Director of Bain & Co. from 1999 to 2005 and a Managing Director from 1992 to 1999. Donahoe will remain on the Board of Nike where he has been a member since 2014.
The Boeing Company [CHICAGO, IL] (NYSE: BA) named Stan Deal to succeed Kevin McAllister as president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes and Ted Colbert to succeed Deal as president and CEO of Boeing Global Services. Deal joined Boeing in 1986, and is executive vice president of Boeing and president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Prior to this role, Deal was president and chief executive officer of Boeing Global Services. Colbert joined Boeing in 2009 and is executive vice president of Boeing, a member of the Boeing Executive Council, and president and CEO of Boeing Global Services. In his prior role he served as chief information officer (CIO) and senior vice president of Information Technology & Data Analytics.
Republic Bank of Arizona [PHOENIX, AZ] (OTCQB:RBAZ) announced that Brian Ruisinger, the bank’s current Chief Financial Officer, has been named President and Chief Executive Officer, effective November 4, 2019. Prior to joining Republic Bank of Arizona, Ruisinger was president and CEO of Bank 1440. Ruisinger has held similar executive positions with community banks in Arizona, as well as positions as Chief Accounting Officer, COO, Controller and CFO at larger regional banks and other organizations throughout his extensive career.
Avangrid Renewables, LLC, [ORANGE, CT] announced today that Alejandro de Hoz, currently the company’s Vice President of Offshore Wind, is appointed to the role of President & CEO, succeeding Laura Beane, who has decided to leave the company. Prior to Avangrid Renewables, de Hoz was Offshore Business Performance director for Iberdrola.
Riverbed® [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Rich McBee has been appointed President and CEO. McBee is the former President and CEO of Mitel. Prior to Mitel, McBee served as President of the Communications and Enterprise Group of Danaher Corporation. McBee joined Danaher in 2007 when they acquired Tektronix Communications, where he had worked at since 1998 in a variety of leadership positions including: Senior Vice President and General Manager, Communications Business Unit; Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Service and Marketing; and Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Initiatives.
Kar’s Nuts [MADISON HEIGHTS, MI] announced the appointment of Victor Mehren as Chief Executive Officer. Nick Nicolay, Kar’s Nuts President and CEO since 1995, will remain actively involved in the company as its Chairman. Before joining Kar’s Nuts, Mehren spent 17 years at Mars Wrigley Confectionary, where he most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer, U.S. Mehren previously served as General Manager of Wrigley, General Manager of Mars Ice Cream & Substantial Snacks and General Manager of Mars Chocolate Canada.
AEgis Technologies [WASHINGTON] announced that Jonathan Moneymaker, will join the Company as Chief Executive Officer and serve on the Board of Directors. Moneymaker was most recently President of Altamira Technologies. Prior to that, Moneymaker was General Manager of the Intelligence Systems Group at Boeing.
Elkay Manufacturing [OAK BROOK, IL] announced that President and CEO Tim Jahnke, who has led the company since 2007, plans to retire from day-to-day leadership to concentrate on his role on Elkay’s Board of Directors. Ric Phillips has been named by Elkay’s Board to succeed Jahnke as President and Chief Executive Officer. Phillips previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Essendant, Inc. Before his promotion to CEO, Phillips was President of Essendant’s ORS Nasco Industrial business and also Group President of the company’s Industrial Portfolio. He joined Essendant in 2013 as President of Online and New Channels. Prior to joining Essendant in 2013, Phillips spent 14 years at McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm. He was elected Partner at McKinsey in 2005.
ICMA-RC [WASHINGTON] has named Lynne Ford as President and CEO effective November 4. Ford will succeed retiring President and CEO Bob Schultze. Schultze will continue with ICMA-RC as President and CEO Emeritus through the end of 2019. Before joining ICMA-RC, Ford was an executive vice president and division executive for SunTrust’s Private Wealth Division. Prior to her time at SunTrust, Ford was an executive vice president of Calvert Investments. Ford also has served as executive vice president and CEO of Individual Retirement at Voya Financial, and spent 20 years at Wells Fargo Corporation and Evergreen Investments.
Gulf Island Fabrication, Inc. [HOUSTON] (NASDAQ: GIFI) announced the retirement of Kirk Meche from his roles as President and CEO of Gulf Island. Meche will continue to serve as President and CEO during the transition period and will assist the Board of Directors with the transition. In connection with Meche’s announced retirement, he has resigned as a Director, effective October 18, 2019.
