MutualFirst Financial, Inc. [MUNCIE, IN] (Nasdaq: MFSF) announced with great sadness the untimely passing of its director and MutualBank’s President and Chief Operations Officer Patrick Botts. As a result of Bott’s passing, the board of directors of the Bank has appointed David W. Heeter as the President and Chief Executive Officer of MutualBank.
Insurance Recovery Group, Inc. [FRAMINGHAM, MA] announced the appointment of Hans A. Hagen as President and CEO. Prior to joining IRG, Hagen had an extensive career at Liberty Mutual, holding numerous executive leadership roles including Vice President of Workers’ Compensation, Vice President of Risk Control, Vice President of Workers’ Compensation and Liability, Vice President of Shared Services, and Senior Vice President of Property, Auto and Liability.
Sirtex Medical [WOBURN, MA] announced the appointment of Kevin R. Smith as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to his role as Interim CEO of Sirtex, Kevin served as Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing for the Americas. Before joining Sirtex, Kevin was Executive Vice President of Business Development at Gel-e, Inc.
LBI Media, Inc [BURBANK, CA] announced the appointment of Peter Markham to Chief Executive Officer. Markham will also serve on the Company’s Board of Directors and had previously served as interim Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Markham served as CEO and Chairman of Granite Broadcasting and as Chairman of Communications Corporation of America.
Pelco, Inc. [FRESNO, CA] announced the appointment of Kurt Takahashi as Chief Executive Officer, effective November 1, 2019. Previously, Takahashi held the position of President of AMAG Technology. Prior to AMAG, Takahashi was the Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at Quantum Secure.
JAGGAER [RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC] announces that Jim Bureau has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Bureau succeeds Robert Bonavito, who has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2016. Bureau joined JAGGAER in 2018. Prior to JAGGAER, he served in senior leadership positions within several high-quality software organizations including Verint Systems/KANA Software, Shared Health, Pegasystems and Oracle.
Lydall, Inc. [MANCHESTER, CT] (NYSE: LDL) announced that Sara A. Greenstein has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. Greenstein will succeed Dale G. Barnhart, who will be retiring after more than 12 years of service with Lydall. Since 2015, Greenstein has been a senior executive of United States Steel Corporation. Prior to joining U.S. Steel, Greenstein served for 12 years in a variety of senior leadership positions at Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.
Naturally Slim® [DALLAS, TX] announced the appointment of Rob Butler as chief executive officer. The appointment of Butler follows Naturally Slim’s May announcement of a major capital investment from The Riverside Company . Prior to joining Naturally Slim, Butler founded and served as CEO of Maestro Health. Additionally, Butler previously held numerous leadership roles at MBI, Novamed, and Allergan.
Pipeline Foods LLC [MINNEAPOLIS, MN] announced that it has appointed Anthony Sepich as chief executive officer. Sepich will succeed interim chief executive officer, Robert Hodgen, who will continue in his role as managing director of private equity with AMERRA Capital Management, LLC., as well as in his role on the Board of Managers for Pipeline Holdings.
Preferred Apartment Communities, Inc. [ATLANTA, GA] (NYSE: APTS) announced that it has selected Joel T. Murphy as Chief Executive Officer, effective as of January 1, 2020. Murphy will continue as a member of the Board, where he has served since May 2019. Murphy succeeds PAC’s current CEO and Chairman of the Board, Daniel M. DuPree, who will remain with the Company as Executive Chairman of the Board. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Murphy has served as Chief Executive Officer of New Market Properties, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company since September 1, 2014 and as Chair of the Investment Committee for the Company since June 2018. Murphy served as President of the Retail Division of Cousins Properties Incorporated, as well as a member of its investment committee, from 1995 to 2008.
AkitaBox™ [MADISON, WI] announced that the company has appointed Matt Miszewski as Chief Executive Officer. He will assume the day-to-day leadership of the company and will also join AkitaBox’s Board of Directors. Miszewski is a seasoned executive who has held positions including Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing in both the public and private sectors. Todd Hoffmaster, AkitaBox’s co-founder, has made the decision to step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer to pursue other opportunities within the organization. Miszewski has served as General Manager of the Global Government Industry for Microsoft, then went on to serve as Senior Vice President for Salesforce.
Elite Dental Partners [CHICAGO. IL] has named Gaurav Bhattacharyya as CEO. Bhattacharyya has been President of EDP since July. Prior to joining EDP, he was division vice president at DaVita. EDP founder, former CEO and Chief Dental Officer Scott Kalniz, DDS, will remain as strategic advisor to the senior team and board member to support Bhattacharyya as they work together to drive the mission and future success of EDP.
Robinson Weeks Partners [ATLANTA. GA] announced that David Welch has been promoted to CEO. Welch has overseen the operations of Robinson Weeks over the past five years, including most recently as the firm’s president. Welch first worked with Robinson Weeks, beginning eight years before joining the firm, on the development of Gillem Logistics Center.
Hearthside Food Solutions [DOWNERS GROVE, IL] announced today the promotion of Chuck Metzger to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Founder Rich Scalise will remain active in the business as Chairman of the Board. Metzger most recently served as Hearthside’s Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Hearthside, he spent more than five years at Greencore USA and Peacock Foods as Chief Operating Officer. Previously Metzger led regional beverage operations for the Coca-Cola Company with responsibility for all the platforms in which Coke operates. Metzger spent 23 years earlier in his career at Kraft Foods.
Kanopy [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced that Kevin Sayar has been named as the company’s new CEO. Sayar succeeds Olivia Humphrey, who is relocating with her family back to her native Australia. Humphrey will remain as Kanopy’s Executive Chairman of the Board. Sayar joins Kanopy from ProQuest. During his tenure at ProQuest, Sayar served in multiple roles, including senior vice president and general manager of ProQuest Books, as well as SVP and GM of the software business unit, ProQuest Workflow Solutions. Prior to ProQuest, Sayar was the president and co-founder of ebrary. The company was acquired by ProQuest in 2011.
Berkshire Residential Investments [BOSTON] announced that David Olney has been named Chief Executive Officer. Olney, a Partner and 33-year veteran of Berkshire, has led the Company’s investment strategy and execution as Chief Investment Officer and Chair of the Investment Committee over the last two decades.
Hire Dynamics [ATLANTA, GA] announced the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, Billy Milam. Milam comes to Hire Dynamics following a 22-year career at RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc. Most recently, he served as its Chief Operating Officer.
Alaska Communications [ANCHORAGE, AK] (NASDAQ: ALSK) has named William (Bill) H. Bishop president and chief executive officer. Bishop has served as Alaska Communications’ interim CEO since June 2019. Bishop joined the company in 2004 and has served in several leadership roles, including senior vice president of customer and revenue management and chief operations officer. Bishop will also serve on the company’s board of directors.
Valassis [LIVONIA, MI] announced the promotion of Cali Tran to president and CEO. Current CEO Dan Singleton will move into a senior advisory role for Harland Clarke Holdings. In 2014, Tran was named president of Valassis Digital. Prior to Valassis, Tran served as the senior vice president of technology and business development at MacAndrews & Forbes.
Thinking Capital [MONTREAL, QC] announced the appointment of Stéphane Marceau as President and Chief Executive Officer. Marceau brings to Thinking Capital more than 20 years of experience leading data and technology-centric businesses, including in executive roles with Bell Canada and Yellow Pages, and as a serial tech entrepreneur building AI-powered companies.
Ag-West Bio Inc. [SASKATOON, SK] announce the appointment of Karen Churchill as the organization’s next president and chief executive officer. Immediately prior to her current role as Director of Research and Market Support with Cereals Canada, Churchill was the Quality Projects Manager at Cargill Malt.
