Walmart [BENTONVILLE, AR] announced that John Furner will become the President and Chief Executive Officer of Walmart U.S., effective November 1. Furner started with Walmart as an hourly associate in 1993, working part-time in the garden center of a supercenter. Furner worked his way up through a number of frontline leadership roles, later becoming a store manager, district manager and buyer. He has held leadership roles in operations, merchandising and sourcing in Walmart U.S., Sam’s Club and Walmart International, where he served at Walmart China as chief merchandising and marketing officer. Prior to becoming Sam’s Club CEO in 2017, he was chief merchandising officer for Sam’s Club.
Nelipak® Corporation, Inc. [CRANSTON, RI] announced that Roger Prevot has been named the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Prevot assumes this role from Michael Kelly, Nelipak’s current Chief Executive Officer. Prevot, who has been Chairman of the Board of Directors since the acquisition of Nelipak (“Kohlberg”) earlier this year, brings to Nelipak an extensive track record of senior leadership experience in the packaging industry, and is a Partner of Kohlberg. Prevot’s previous roles include President and Chief Operating Officer of Graham Packaging, Chief Executive Officer of Packaging Dynamics Corporation, Chairman of the Board of Spectrum Plastics Group and Chairman of the Board of Cadence, Inc.
Income Research + Management [BOSTON] announced the appointment of Bill O’Malley, a 25-year veteran of the Firm and one of its Managing Principals, as the Firm’s Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chief Investment Officer, effective January 1, 2020. O’Malley joined Income Research in 1994, and has been part of the leadership team and a shareholder of the Firm since 2001.
BioSpecifics Technologies Corp. [LYNBROOK, NY] (NASDAQ: BSTC) named Kevin Buchi chief executive officer of BioSpecifics. He will also serve on the company’s board of directors. Buchi is currently the chairman of the board of directors at Dicerna Pharmaceuticals and a director of Amneal Pharmaceuticals and Benitec Biopharma Ltd. Buchi was most recently president and chief executive officer at TetraLogic Pharmaceuticals from 2012 to 2016. Previously, Buchi served as Impax Laboratories’ interim President and chief executive officer from December 2016 to March 2017. Earlier, Buchi served as corporate vice president of Global Branded Products at Teva Pharmaceutical from 2011 to May 2012. Buchi also served as chief executive officer of Cephalon, which was acquired by Teva in October 2011.
AzurRx BioPharma, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: AZRX) announced that James Sapirstein has been appointed to serve as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer following the resignation of Thijs Spoor from the same positions. Sapirstein, who most recently served as chief executive officer and board member for ContraVir Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to ContraVir, Sapirstein was chief executive officer of Alliqua Therapeutics, served as the founding chief executive officer of Tobira Therapeutics, and as executive vice president, metabolic and endocrinology for Serono Laboratories.
Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. [UNION, NJ] (Nasdaq: BBBY) announced the appointment of Mark J. Tritton as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and as a member of its Board of Directors, effective November 4, 2019. Tritton succeeds interim CEO, Mary A. Winston. Winston will continue to serve on the Board of Directors. Tritton most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer at Target Corporation. In addition to Target, his experience includes Nordstrom, Inc., Timberland LLC and Nike, Inc.
Newland [SAN DIEGO, CA] announced the promotion of Ted Nelson from President and Chief Operating Officer to Chief Executive Officer. Nelson will succeed Bob McLeod, who will take on the role of Executive Chairman.
Purchasing Power, LLC [ATLANTA, GA] announced that Joseph (“Trey”) Loughran has been appointed as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Loughran succeeds Richard (“Ritt”) Carrano, who has served as a senior executive of the company for 18 years and CEO since 2011. Carrano will continue to serve as a member of the board of directors and as an advisor to the company. Loughran joins the company from Red Ventures, where he was President of Bankrate.com.
Good Times Restaurants Inc. [DENVER, CO] (Nasdaq: GTIM) announced the departure of its Chief Executive Officer, Boyd Hoback and his resignation from the Company’s Board of Directors. The Company has named Ryan Zink, the Company’s current Chief Financial Officer, as its acting Chief Executive Officer. Zink is a candidate for the permanent CEO position and will also remain the Company’s Chief Financial Officer until a permanent CEO is named.
Tempo Automation [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Joy Weiss has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. Weiss is one of Tempo’s earliest investors and its first outside advisor, serving on the Tempo Board of Directors since December 2015. Most recently, Weiss served as Vice President at Analog Devices. Weiss brings a wealth of executive experience, having served as CEO of Dust Networks, which was acquired by Linear Technology, and as CEO at Inviso.
Streamline Health Solutions [ATLANTA, GA] (NASDAQ:STRM) announced that Wyche T. (“Tee”) Green, III has assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. Green is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Streamline Health and will continue in that capacity.
The Heritage Group [INDIANAPOLIS, IN] welcomes Greg Kelly as chief executive officer of it’s HC&M division . Kelly joins The Heritage Group from WSP, a premier global engineering professional services firm based in Canada, where he served as President and CEO of WSP in the USA.
Aramark [PHILADELPHIA, PA] (NYSE:ARMK) announced that John J. Zillmer will return to the Company as Chief Executive Officer. He will also become a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Zillmer previously spent 18 years at Aramark. Under his leadership as President of Global Food & Support Services, Aramark experienced significant growth, ultimately becoming the largest food management provider in North America. Following his prior tenure at the Company, Zillmer served as Chairman and CEO of Allied Waste Industries. Zillmer also led Univar, a global chemical and ingredients distributor, as CEO and Executive Chairman.
Xtant Medical Holdings, Inc. [BELGRADE, MT] (NYSE American: XTNT) announced the appointment of Sean Browne as President and Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Browne served as Chief Revenue Officer of CCS Medical, Inc. Previously, Browne served as Chief Operating Officer of The Kini Group; President and Chief Executive Officer and a director of Neuro Resource Group; President, Miltex Surgical Instrument Division for Integra LifeSciences Corporation.; Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Esurg.com, and Vice President, Health Systems Division of McKesson Corporation.
Sensydia Corporation [LOS ANGELES] announced that industry leader Anthony Arnold has been appointed as chief executive officer and president and joins the Board of Directors. Arnold’s most recent role as president and chief executive officer of SetPoint Medical. Prior to SetPoint, he held leadership roles of increasing responsibility with Smith+Nephew, Medtronic and Boston Scientific.
Q’Apel Medical [FREMONT, CA] announced that King Nelson is joining the company as CEO. Prior to Q’Apel, Nelson served as President and CEO of Uptake Medical, Kerberos Solutions and VenPro Cardiovascular.
Agrivida [WOBURN, MA] announced the appointment of board member Rajiv Singh as interim CEO with the departure of current CEO Dan Meagher. Meagher has accepted an executive position with a global animal health and nutrition company, and will be transitioning to his new position over the next two to three weeks.
Genesis Motors North America [FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA] has appointed Mark Del Rosso as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to Genesis, Del Rossso was the President of Audi of America. Prior to his most recent experience at Audi, Del Rosso was the President & CEO, Region Americas for Bentley Motors, Inc.
Novus International, Inc. [ST. CHARLES, MO] announced that François Fraudeau plans to retire as President and Chief Executive Officer after 28 successful years with the company. Novus’s Board of Directors has decided to hire a former Novus Executive, Dan Meagher, to be President and CEO, effective April 1st, 2020. To ensure a smooth transition, Dan will join the company on October 14, 2019, as Executive Vice President and General Manager prior to assuming the role of President and CEO in April. Meagher previously held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer with Agrivida, Inc.
Mitel [OTTAWA, ON] announced the appointment of Mary T. McDowell as president and chief executive officer. Most recently, McDowell was CEO and board member for Polycom, Inc. Prior to Polycom, McDowell was executive vice president at Nokia, and she also previously held senior positions at Compaq Computer and Hewlett Packard.
True Nature Holding, Inc. [ATLANTA, GA] (OTCQB: TNTY) announces the appointment of Lawrence Diamond to its Board of Directors, and as CEO to its senior management team. Diamond was most recently CEO of Intelligere Inc. Prior to that role he was COO of PointRight, Inc.
