McCarthy Holdings, Inc. [ST. LOUIS, MO] announced this week the selection of Raymond J. Sedey as the firm’s next chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1, 2020. Sedey will succeeds Michael D. Bolen, who will continue in the role as chairman of the McCarthy board of directors. Sedey began with McCarthy in 2000 as a project engineer in the firm’s Southwest Region. He then moved through several core operations roles including superintendent, project manager and director, before being promoted to vice president, operations for the Las Vegas office in 2009. In 2012, Sedey was promoted to executive vice president responsible for leading business operations in Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado. In 2015, Sedey was selected to lead the McCarthy Texas Region as regional president. Under his. In 2018, Sedey then led efforts to combine operations of the McCarthy Southeast Division and Texas Region to form a new Southern Region and assumed the position of Southern regional president.
On Target Laboratories, Inc. [WEST LAFAYETTE, IN] announced that Christopher Barys has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer and will join the board of directors. Most recently, Barys was Sr. Vice President and General Manager at Philips Image Guided Therapy. Barys also served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Interventional Lung Solutions division of Early Technologies at Medtronic and General Manager of Global Surgical Pain, at Kimberly-Clark Corporation.
Ranpak Holdings Corp. [CONCORD TOWNSHIP, OH] (NYSE: PACK) announced that Executive Chairman Omar Asali has agreed to expand his role at Ranpak and become Chief Executive Officer. Asali will replace J. Mark Borseth as CEO. Previously, Asali was the Chairman and CEO of One Madison Corporation, a special purpose acquisition company that acquired Ranpak. Prior to that, Asali served as Chief Executive Officer, President and a member of the Board of Directors of HRG Group.
Lawson Associates, Inc. [DALLAS, TX] announced that Ben Casey was selected as the President and Chief Executive Officer. Casey has served as President and CEO of YMCA of Greater Dallas for 18 years until 2001. He then joined the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation as their President. Casey joined Lawson Associates, Inc. in 2009 as a Senior Consultant.
Reflektive [SAN FRANCISCO] announced Greg Brown as Chief Executive Officer. Existing Reflektive CEO Rajeev Behera will assume the role of Chairman of the Board and Chief Innovation Officer. Most recently, Brown served as Senior Vice President of International Business at Blackhawk Network. Prior to Blackhawk Network, Brown held the position of Chief Revenue Officer at Achievers.
Electronics For Imaging, Inc. [FREMONT, CA] announced the appointment of Jeff Jacobson as Chief Executive Officer. Jacobson will retain his position as Executive Chairman. Jacobson succeeds Bill Muir, who is stepping down for personal reasons. Prior to joining EFI, Jacobson served as Chief Executive Officer of Xerox. Jacobson also served as both President of Xerox’s Technology Business and President of Xerox’s Global Graphic Communications Operations. Prior to joining Xerox in 2012, Jacobson was the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Presstek. Before his time at Xerox and Presstek, Jacobson served as Chief Operating Officer of Eastman Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. Jacobson also served for five years as Chief Executive Officer of Kodak Polychrome Graphics.
LCR Capital Partners [WESTPORT, CT] announced that Sherman Baldwin will become the firm’s CEO. Suresh Rajan, LCR’s founder and majority shareholder, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman. Baldwin has served as the firm’s Co-President since June 2018. Baldwin was previously Managing Director at Accenture where he held several leadership roles from 2004 to 2018.
M2Gen [TAMPA, FL] announced the appointment of Helge Bastian as president and chief executive officer. Bastian succeeds M2Gen Executive Chair William S. Dalton who has served as interim CEO since September 2018. Bastian joins M2Gen from Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc., where he led the Sample Preparation and Synthetic Biology businesses as Vice President and General Manager since 2014. Before Thermo Fisher Scientific, Bastian held a number of senior leadership positions and served as a member of several executive leadership teams, including Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer at Indivumed; Vice President Global Marketing, Business Development and Strategy at Sigma-Aldrich; and Executive Vice President Life Science Services for SGS. Prior to SGS, he held various management positions during his 11-plus years at Qiagen including Vice President Molecular Diagnostics, Vice President Global Strategic Marketing, and Vice President PreAnalytiX.
Uniphy Limited [SWINDON, UK and SAN JOSE, CA] has appointed Jim Nicholas as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. Nicholas has held a variety of executive positions including CEO of MIPS, EVP at Imagination Technologies and VP responsibilities at ARM, ST-Ericsson and Frontier Smart Technologies, as well as the GM of STMicroelectronics’s Microcontroller Division.
Summit Healthcare REIT, Inc. [LAKE FOREST, CA] announced that Kent Eikanas has been promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Eikanas has served as Chief Operating Officer since July 2012 and President since September 2012.
Rite Aid Corporation [CAMP HILL, PA] (NYSE: RAD) announced that it has appointed Heyward Donigan as chief executive officer and a member of the Board. As planned, John Standley will step down from his role as chief executive officer in connection with this announcement. Most recently, Donigan served as the president and chief executive officer of Sapphire Digital. Since 2015, Donigan lead Sapphire Digital’s strategy and operations to record growth and consumer engagement. Prior to Sapphire Digital, Donigan was president and chief executive officer of ValueOptions. Previously, Donigan served as executive vice president & chief marketing officer at Premera Blue Cross. Earlier in her career, Donigan served as senior vice president of all operations at Cigna Healthcare. She also held executive roles at General Electric, Empire BCBS and U.S. Healthcare, and previously served on the Board of Directors at several public companies, including Kindred Healthcare.
Dogwood Health Trust [ASHEVILLE, NC] announced the selection of Antony Chiang as Dogwood’s initial chief executive officer. Chiang currently serves as president of Empire Health Foundation. Chiang will join Dogwood Health Trust in November 2019.z
Physicians Endoscopy [JAMISON, PA] announced that the Company has appointed David Young as Chief Executive Officer. Young joined the Company in June 2018 as President. Barry Tanner, PE’s co-founder, has been named Chairman as part of his succession plan. Before joining Physicians Endoscopy, Young was Chief Operating Officer of Privia Health, Inc.
CITGO Petroleum Corporation [HOUSTON] announced that it has selected Carlos E. Jorda to occupy the Chief Executive Officer position. Jorda held several leadership positions within Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA) in both the United States and Venezuela, including oversight of PDVSA’s refining and marketing operations. For the last sixteen years, Jorda served as a consultant to large companies and investors in the oil and gas industry globally, as well as a board member for Delek USA, a U.S.-based refining and marketing company.
E*TRADE Financial Corporation [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: ETFC) announced that Chief Operating Officer Michael A. Pizzi will assume the Chief Executive Officer role after Karl Roessner advised the Company of his decision to leave, following 10 years of service. Pizzi has also been appointed to the Company’s and Bank’s Board of Directors. Pizzi has been with E*TRADE since 2003 and has served in several executive roles including the Company’s Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Risk Officer. Prior to these he served in a variety of leadership positions including the Corporate and bank Treasurer. Before joining E*TRADE, Pizzi worked in asset/liability management at both Lehman Brothers and First Maryland Bank, as well as in capital markets research for the Federal Reserve Board.
Dairy Farmers of Ontario [MISSISSAUGA, ON] announced that Cheryl Smith has been hired as chief executive officer. Smith recently retired from Parmalat as a member of the executive team and General Manager of the Cheese Division.
Daseke, Inc. [ADDISON, TX] (NASDAQ: DSKE) announced that Don Daseke will retire from his roles as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, but that he will continue as a member of the Board with the title, Chairman Emeritus. Daseke’s Board of Directors has appointed Chris Easter, its Chief Operating Officer, as Interim Chief Executive Officer. For the past six years, Easter served as CEO of Keen Transport.
ShieldX [SAN JOSE, CA] announced the appointment of Ken Levine as CEO. Levine joins ShieldX after more than 14 years as a cyber security executive. Levine was CEO of then start-up NitroSecurity, a SIEM platform, before a successful acquisition by McAfee in 2011. At McAfee, Ken was SVP and GM of the security management business unit. After two years at McAfee, Ken became CEO of Digital Guardian. Prior to Nitro, Ken was a key member of the start-up team at Cabletron Systems. Inc., where he spent 15 years as Executive Vice President of Sales.
The Electronic Transactions Association [WASHINGTON, DC] has named Jodie L. Kelley as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 3, 2019. Kelley succeeds Jason Oxman who stepped down as ETA’s CEO in January to become President and CEO of the Information Technology Council. Kelley is currently Senior Vice President and General Counsel of BSA, The Software Alliance. Prior to joining BSA, Kelley served for six years as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Fannie Mae. Before joining Fannie Mae, Kelley was a partner at Jenner & Block in Washington, D.C.
Whitehouse & Schapiro [BALTIMORE, MD] announced today that William “Bill” Schapiro, President and Chief Executive Officer of Whitehouse & Schapiro, LLC passed away on August 13th in Baltimore, MD. As per the succession plan in place, Brian London, Schapiro’s nephew and the current Executive Vice President of Whitehouse & Schapiro, will be assuming the role of President and CEO. London joined the Company in 2014 and has spent the last five years being personally trained and mentored by Schapiro to assume this role.
Rug Doctor, LLC [PLANO, TX] announced today that it’s CEO, Travis Lewis, will transition to Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chris Forsberg will assume the CEO role, effective September 3, 2019. Most recently, Forsberg served as an Executive Vice President at WIS International. Before WIS International, Forsberg was a Senior Director of Operations at The Home Depot. Forsberg also served as Vice President of Operations for Acosta/Mosaic Sales Solutions.
Tanvas [CHICAGO, IL] announced the appointment of Phillip LoPresti as Chief Executive Officer. LoPresti was previously at Everspin where he served as President and CEO. LoPresti started his career as an engineer in the ASIC design center at NEC. During his 20-year tenure at the company, LoPresti served as Associate Vice President and General Manager of the Custom LSI Solutions Strategic Business Unit at NEC Electronics America.
