Lobby CRE [CHARLOTTE, NC] announced that John Espey has been named its new President and CEO. Espey succeeds company founder Robert J. Finlay, who has served as CEO since its launch March 2019. Finlay will remain as company Chairman and acting CEO and founder of parent portfolio company Thirty Capital. Before joining Lobby CRE, Espey founded and served as CEO of Levvel.
Vor Biopharma [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced the appointment of Robert Ang as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Ang is the former Chief Business Officer of Neon Therapeutics. Prior to Neon, Ang served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Bavarian Nordic. Before joining Bavarian Nordic, Ang served as Head of both Business Development and Medical Affairs for Cadence Pharmaceuticals (now Mallinckrodt) and worked at Frazier Healthcare Ventures.
Larry H. Miller Group of Companies [SALT LAKE CITY, UT] announced that it has named Steven E. Starks as chief executive officer and an executive member of the Board. Starks will be leaving his post as president of the NBA’s Utah Jazz and LHM Sports & Entertainment, a position he’s held since 2015. Since joining the organization in 2007, he held a variety of progressive leadership roles, including executive vice president of LHM Management Corporation, where he oversaw Total Care Auto Powered by Landcar and Saxton Horne Communications.
Palladio Biosciences, Inc. [NEWTOWN, PA] announced the appointment of Alex Martin as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Martin was previously CEO of Realm Therapeutics which was acquired by ESSA Pharma in July 2019, and prior to that held executive roles at several biopharmaceutical companies including Intercept Pharmaceuticals where he was COO and BioXell where he was CFO.
ASRC Industrial Services [CONCORD, CA] announced that effective July 26, 2019, Brent Renfrew has assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. Renfrew previously served as the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Renfrew takes over for Greg Johnson, who served as President and CEO since the Company’s establishment in September 2016. Renfrew joined AIS in May 2017 as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer. Renfrew was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in May 2018. Prior to joining AIS, Renfrew served in various roles with AIS’s parent company Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, which he joined in 2010, most recently as Vice President of Corporate Development.
Quintana Energy Services Inc. [HOUSTON, TX] (NYSE: QES) announced that Christopher J. Baker has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. Baker succeeds Rogers Herndon, who has resigned. Baker had served as EVP and COO of QES since its formation and has served in the same role at it’s predecessor since November 2014. Baker previously served as Managing Director—Oilfield Services of the Quintana Capital Group LP. Prior to joining Quintana Capital, Baker worked at Citigroup Global Markets Inc.’s Corporate and Investment Bank. Prior to his time at Citi, Baker was Vice President of Operations for Theta II Enterprises, Inc.
Synaptics Incorporated [SAN JOSE, CA] (NASDAQ: SYNA) announced the appointment of Michael Hurlston as president and chief executive officer. Hurlston’s appointment is expected to be effective on August 19, 2019. Hurlston was most recently CEO at Finisar Corporation where he was also a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to Finisar, Hurlston served as senior vice president and general manager of the Mobile Connectivity Products/Wireless Communications and Connectivity Division at Broadcom Limited.
LAVVAN Inc. [NEW YORK] announced that Neil Closner, formerly of MedReleaf Corp., has been appointed its new Chief Executive Officer. Former LAVVAN CEO, Etan Bendheim, will become President of the company.
Cleave Therapeutics, Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO] has appointed Amy Burroughs as chief executive officer. Burroughs most recently served as executive-in-residence (EIR) at 5AM Ventures and as a strategic commercial advisor to Crinetics Pharmaceuticals. Burroughs began her biopharmaceutical career at Genentech and was previously founder and managing partner of The Ventral Group, a strategic life sciences consulting and investor advisory firm.
Summit Midstream Partners [THE WOODLANDS, TX] (NYSE: SMLP) announced that it has appointed J. Heath Deneke to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 16, 2019. Deneke will also join the Board of Directors. Leonard Mallett, who has been serving as President and CEO on an interim basis since February 2019, will continue to serve as the Company’s Chief Operations Officer and will report to Deneke. Deneke joins Summit Midstream Partners from Crestwood Equity Partners, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Office of the Chairman since August 2017. Prior to his role as EVP and Chief Operating Officer of Crestwood Equity Partners, Deneke served as the Chief Operating Officer and President of Crestwood’s Pipeline Services Group from June 2015 to August 2017, as President, Natural Gas Business Unit of Crestwood’s general partner from October 2013 to June 2015 following the close of the Inergy/Crestwood merger and as Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Legacy Crestwood from August 2012 until October 2013.
22nd Century Group, Inc. [WILLIAMSVILLE, NY] (NYSE American: XXII) announced today that the Company has appointed Clifford B. Fleet to serve as the Company’s President and CEO. Fleet has also been elected to serve as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Fleet has served as a strategic advisor to 22nd Century Group since December 2018. Fleet was previously the President and Chief Executive Officer of Philip Morris USA from 2013 to 2017, where he oversaw PM USA and John Middleton, a leading manufacturer of machine-made cigars. Prior to his role as PM USA’s President and CEO, Fleet was PM USA’s Vice President and General Manager of Marlboro. Prior to that, he was Altria’s Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, and prior to that, he held a variety of management and leadership positions at the Altria family of companies in Investor Relations, Market Information/Research, Sales, and Operations.

Haugstad brings more than a decade of valuable and highly relevant experience as executive director and then CEO and president of the Hemophilia Federation of America.
National CineMedia, Inc. [CENTENNIAL, CO] (NASDAQ: NCMI) announced that the company has appointed Thomas F. Lesinski to the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective August 2, 2019. He will continue to serve on the NCM Board in his role as the Chief Executive Officer. Clifford E. Marks, has served as both President and Interim CEO of National CineMedia since November of 2018 and will now return to his role as President. Lesinski had served as Chairman of the Board of NCM, Inc. since August 2018, after being appointed as independent Director of NCM Inc. in December 2014. Since 2015, Lesinski had also served as CEO of Sonar Entertainment, a leading TV production company, after serving as a Sonar Board Director since 2013. His extensive 25-year Hollywood career also includes prior leadership roles as CEO and founder of Energi Entertainment, President of Digital Content & Distribution with Legendary Entertainment, President of Paramount Pictures Digital Entertainment and President of Worldwide Home Entertainment for Paramount, and both Executive Vice President and General Manager of Home Entertainment and Executive Vice President, Worldwide Marketing & Development at Warner Bros.
Finisar Corporation [SUNNYVALE, CA] (NASDAQ: FNSR) announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Michael Hurlston, has informed the Board of Directors of his intention to resign his position with the company to pursue another opportunity. The Board of Directors has appointed Chief Operating Officer Todd Swanson and Executive Vice President of Global Operations Joseph Young, to a newly formed Interim Office of the Chief Executive.
Panasonic [TORONTO, ON] has named Michael Moskowitz chairman and CEO of Panasonic Corporation of North America, the principal North American subsidiary of Osaka, Japan-based Panasonic Corporation. Moskowitz succeeds Tom Gebhardt, who is leaving the company after serving in a variety of leadership roles over his more than three decades with Panasonic. Moskowitz most recently served simultaneous roles as president of Panasonic Canada Inc. and Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. Prior to joining Panasonic, Moskowitz served as president and CEO of XM Canada and prior to that as president of Palm in the Americas International. Moskowitz joined Panasonic in 2011 and since then has held several leadership positions of increasing responsibility.
Eta Compute Inc. [WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA] announces the appointment of Ted Tewksbury as chief executive officer. Tewksbury brings over 30 years of experience building and growing technology businesses in the semiconductor sector. Previously, Tewksbury served as president and chief executive officer for Entropic Communications, until the company’s acquisition by MaxLinear Corporation. Tewksbury was also president and chief operating officer of AMI Semiconductor. Earlier in his career, Tewksbury held a variety of engineering and management positions at Maxim Integrated, IBM Microelectronics and Analog Devices.
Gannett Co., Inc. [MCLEAN, VA] (NYSE: GCI) announced that Paul Bascobert has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Bascobert most recently served as President of XO Group. Previously, Bascobert served as President of Local Businesses at Yodle. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at multiple media companies, including Bloomberg LP, where he served as Chief Operating Officer of its Media Group and President of Bloomberg Businessweek, and Dow Jones & Co., where he served as Chief Marketing Officer across its consumer products, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and MarketWatch.
4M Carbon Fiber Corporation [KNOXVILLE, TN] announced Paresh Chari has agreed to take over the role of Chairman and Interim CEO effective July 26th, 2019. Chari has been on 4M’s Board of Directors since March 2018. Chari recently retired from Duraline Corporation and its parent, Mexichem in January of this year.
LabConnect [SEATTLE, WA] announced that it has hired Tom Sellig to serve as its new Chief Executive Officer as well as appointing him to the Board of Directors of the Company. Prior to LabConnect, Sellig served as Chief Commercial Officer at ConnectiveRx and from 2014 to 2018, he was Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Patheon, which was acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2017.
Editas Medicine, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced that it has unanimously appointed Cynthia (Cindy) Collins, a 30-plus year industry veteran currently serving as the Company’s interim CEO as President and Chief Executive Officer. Collins will also continue to serve as a member of the Company’s Board. Prior to joining Editas, Collins served as the CEO of Human Longevity, Inc. Collins also served as the CEO/GM of the Cell Therapy and Lab Business of General Electric’s Healthcare Life Sciences and as the CEO of Clarient Diagnostics, Inc.; as President and CEO of GenVec, Inc.; and as Group Vice President, Cellular Analysis Business of Beckman Coulter with responsibility for its Hematology, Flow Cytometry, and Hemostasis businesses. Prior to Beckman Coulter, Collins served as President and CEO of Sequoia Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
The AMEC Group, Inc. [MEMPHIS, TN] announced that Andrea Lewis Miller, former President of LeMoyne-Owen College, has joined as President and CEO. Miller has also served as Chancellor of Baton Rouge Community College, Chancellor of SOWELA Technical Community College, and Provost/Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at Southwest Tennessee Community College.
Assembly Biosciences, Inc. [SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA] (NASDAQ: ASMB) announced the appointment of John McHutchison as President and Chief Executive Officer. McHutchison, who will also join Assembly’s Board of Directors, succeeds Derek Small, who co-founded Assembly Biosciences in 2014. Small will return as managing director of his venture creation firm, Luson Bioventures, and will continue to serve on Assembly’s Board as a Director and senior advisor. McHutchison most recently served as Chief Scientific Officer and Head of Research and Development at Gilead Sciences. Prior to Gilead, McHutchison held numerous positions at Duke University Medical Center, including Associate Director of the Duke Clinical Research Institute, Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Director at Duke Clinical Research Unit and Co-Director of the Duke Clinical and Translational Science Award.
CeloNova BioSciences, Inc. [SAN ANTONIO, TX] announced appointment of Carl J. St. Bernard as President and Chief Executive Officer. Jason Cone, who successfully served as CeloNova’s interim CEO for the past 2 years, will assume a position on the company’s Board of Directors. St. Bernard joins the company from Tryton Medical where he held the role of President and CEO. St. Bernard’s prior experience includes Vice President at Johnson & Johnson Vision, Vice President of North American Marketing & Sales for LifeCell and Vice President at Cordis.
NASCENT Technology [CHARLOTTE, NC] announced the appointment of Ray West to President and CEO. West founded Thoroughbred Systems, Inc., served as VP of Development for Atlas Van Lines at their headquarters in Evansville, Indiana and Director of Development for Qualcomm, Inc. in San Diego. Most recently West spent over twelve years with TMW Systems, which was acquired by Trimble in 2012, as the Senior VP and General Manager of TMS.
Guidewire Software, Inc. [SAN MATEO, CA] (NYSE: GWRE) announced the appointment of Mike Rosenbaum, former EVP Product at Salesforce, as Chief Executive Officer and to the Board of Directors. Marcus Ryu has transitioned to become Chairman of Guidewire’s Board of Directors.
Credera [DALLAS, TX] announced the appointment of Justin Bell as its new CEO. Bell has been with Credera for 15 years and has served as Credera’s president since 2016. Bell will take over from Rob Borrego, who has led the firm for the last 15 years. Bell joined Credera in 2004.
Atmos Energy Corporation [DALLAS] (NYSE: ATO) announced that it has appointed Kevin Akers currently Executive Vice President, to become President and Chief Executive Officer of Atmos Energy and a member of the Board effective October 1, 2019. Kim R. Cocklin, formerly CEO of Atmos Energy, will continue as Executive Chairman of the Board. Akers, formerly President of both the company’s Kentucky/Mid-States and Mississippi Divisions, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Safety and Enterprise Services and member of Management Committee effective January 1, 2017.
Conduent Incorporated [FLORHAM PARK, NJ] announced that Clifford A. Skelton, President and COO, will serve as Conduent’s Chief Executive Officer on an interim basis. Skelton was also named to the Company’s Board of Directors. Ashok Vemuri has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer and board member.
ICX Media [WASHINGTON, DC] announced that Serge Matta, former President, GroundTruth, and former CEO and President, Comscore, has joined as President and Chief Executive Officer. Michael Avon, the founder of ICX Media, will remain actively involved with the company as Executive Chairman.
