Rand Logistics, Inc. [JERSEY CITY, NJ] announced the appointment of Peter Coxon as Chief Executive Officer. Coxon will also join Rand’s Board of Directors. Coxon’s experience includes senior leadership roles in a number of organizations, including SEACOR Holdings Inc. the Atlantic Richfield Company and Par Petroleum.
Hartford HealthCare [HARTFORD, CT] has named Jeffrey A. Flaks its President and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1. Flaks succeeds Elliot Joseph, who has been Hartford HealthCare’s Chief Executive Officer since 2013. In 2004, Flaks joined MidState Medical Center as Chief Operating Officer. Flaks then transitioned to Hartford Hospital as Chief Operating Officer in 2007 before becoming Hartford Hospital’s 21st President and CEO in 2011.
GTB [DEARBORN, MI] announced the appointment of Robert Guay as CEO. Guay has extensive auto marketing experience for BMW, Buick, GMC and OnStar. Guay’s most recent role was EVP, Managing Director of the Boston and Detroit offices for Digitas. During eight years with Digitas he led relationships for Aflac, Liberty Mutual, GMC and several P&G brands.
Hoover Ferguson [HOUSTON, TX] announced that Kevin Friar has been appointed CEO, effective June 30, 2019, in a planned transition of senior leadership. Friar joined Hoover Ferguson as president in January 2019 to succeed outgoing chairman and CEO, Donald Young. Young will remain involved with Hoover Ferguson and return to the board of directors where he originally started with the organization.
Rincon Consultants Inc. [VENTURA, CA] announced that John Dreher has been selected by Rincon’s Board of Directors as the next president and CEO, effective July 1, 2019. In his role as chief operating officer, Dreher has worked closely with Michael P. Gialketsis (president and CEO since 2012) to ensure this smooth transition as Gialketsis steps into a strategic advisor role within the company.
Adaptimmune Therapeutics plc [PHILADELPHIA, PA] (Nasdaq: ADAP) announced that Adrian Rawcliffe, currently Chief Financial Officer of the Company, will succeed James Noble as Chief Executive Officer. Since he joined Adaptimmune as Chief Financial Officer in March 2015, Rawcliffe has led the Company’s financial strategy and operations, as well as investor relations, corporate communications, manufacturing and supply chain, product development, information management and facilities. Rawcliffe currently serves as a non‑executive director of WAVE Life Sciences. Before joining Adaptimmune, he held various senior roles at GSK, after joining the pharmaceutical company in 1988. Rawcliffe’s most recent role at GSK was Senior Vice President, Finance of the North American Pharmaceuticals business. Other roles at GSK included Senior Vice President Worldwide Business Development and R&D Finance.
D&W Fine Pack LLC [WOOD DALE, IL] announced the appointment of Gary Rehwinkel as new Chief Executive Officer, replacing Keith Maib, who served as the company’s interim Chief Executive for the past year. Rehwinkel joins D&W after recently leading Coveris UK Food & Consumer Packaging Division.
Morrie’s Automotive Group [MINNEAPOLIS, MN] announced the appointment of Lance Iserman as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Iserman served as Chief Operating Officer at AutoNation. Iserman joined AutoNation in 2001 as a CFS Director and progressed through increasingly senior roles including General Sales Manager, General Manager, Market President, and Region President. Earlier in his career, Lance held various roles in the automotive industry at Midway Auto Team and VanTuyl Automotive Group.
KromaTiD, Inc. [LONGMONT, CO] announced the appointment of Christopher Tompkins to the role of Chief Executive Officer. Tompkins, who joined the company in 2010, has most recently served as President, General Manager and Chief Technology Officer.
SmartPharm Therapeutics [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced that José Trevejo has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Trevejo is a co-founder of SmartPharm and has served as a member of the Board of Directors since the Company commenced operations in March 2018. Before joining SmartPharm as CEO, Trevejo served as Vice President, Clinical Development at Cyclerion Therapeutics. Trevejo joined Ironwood from Visterra, where he was a member of the Executive Team and oversaw pre-clinical and clinical development including operations, and regulatory science. Prior to Visterra, he held clinical development leadership positions at Genentech and Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Before entering the biotechnology industry, Trevejo served as Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and was Principal Biomedical Scientist at the Draper Laboratory.
Immunome [EXTON, PA] announced that Purnanand Sarma has joined Immunome as President and Chief Executive Officer. Immunome’s former Chief Executive Officer, Michael Morin, assumes the role of Chief Scientific Officer. Prior to joining Immunome, Sarma was the President & CEO of Taris Biomedical. Prior to TARIS, Sarma served in several leadership roles at Cephalon Corporation, which was acquired by Teva Pharmaceutical Industries; Nektar Therapeutics; and SmithKline Beecham, now Glaxo SmithKline.
David’s Bridal [CONSHOHOCKEN, PA] announced that James Marcum has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Marcum is expected to join the Company this week and will also join the David’s Bridal Board of Directors. Marcum replaces Interim CEO Tom Lynch. Marcum is a seasoned retail, consumer and services industry veteran with over 30 years of leadership experience in large national public and private companies. Marcum has served as the CEO, COO and CFO of notable companies such as Central Parking, Circuit City, Hollywood Entertainment, Stage Stores and Marshalls, among others.
Intersect ENT®, Inc. [MENLO PARK, CA] (Nasdaq:XENT) announced the appointment of Thomas (“Tom”) A. West as President and Chief Executive Officer. West has served as Division President, Diagnostics Solutions at Hologic, Inc. since October 2014. Prior to Hologic, he held various roles of increasing responsibility at Johnson & Johnson, including serving as Worldwide Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Johnson & Johnson’s Diabetes Solutions Companies. Previously, West served as President of LifeScan North America and as President of LifeScan EMEA. While leading LifeScan EMEA, he tripled the business in the span of four years.
Sequel Youth and Family Services [HUNTSVILLE, AL] announced that Chris W. Roussos has been appointed the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. John Stupak, Sequel’s previous CEO, is now serving as Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors. Before joining Sequel, Roussos was Chief Executive Officer of 24 Hour Fitness. Previously, Roussos served as President and CEO of Epic Health Services. Prior, Roussos was the Chief Operating Officer of Harden Healthcare, an $800 million post-acute healthcare services company. Previously, Roussos was Chairman, President and CEO of Orthodontic Centers of America.
Hallmark Cards, Inc. [KANSAS CITY, MO] announced that Mike Perry has been appointed president and chief executive officer. Don Hall will become executive chairman and Dave Hall will become executive vice chairman. Perry began his career at Hallmark in 1989, serving in a variety of leadership positions within Hallmark’s core business units, customer management teams and new business development initiatives. In 2009, Perry was named president and CEO of Crayola, part of Hallmark’s portfolio of businesses that manufactures and sells Crayola® brand products worldwide.
OmniSeq, Inc. [BUFFALO, NY] has named Margot P. Schoenborn to succeed Mark Gardner as the chief executive officer. Schoenborn joined OmniSeq as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary during its 2015 spin-off from Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. In 2016, Schoenborn was named Chief Administrative Officer of the company. Before joining OmniSeq, Schoenborn was Roswell Park’s deputy general counsel.
Applications Software Technology LLC [LISLE, IL] announced that it has appointed Justin Winter as its Chief Executive Officer. He will assume leadership of the company effective June 24, 2019. Pravin Kumar, AST’s founder and past CEO has been named Vice Chairman. Before joining AST, Winter spent 15 years at Hitachi Consulting where he held multiple leadership positions. His most recent position was Chief Operating Officer where he had responsibility for all sales, marketing, delivery, and operations globally. Prior to Hitachi Consulting, Winter worked at Oracle, IBM and other consulting companies in various service delivery and sales roles.
Bemis Manufacturing Company [SHEBOYGAN FALLS, WI] has named Jeff Lonigro as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Lomigro comes to Bemis from Trilliant Food and Nutrition, where he most recently served as Vice President. Prior to Trilliant, Lonigro spent more than 20 years at ITW, where he served as Group President for the Industrial Welding Platform.
