Alcresta Therapeutics Inc. [WARREN, NJ] announced the appointment of Daniel Orlando as its Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Alcresta, Orlando was Chief Operating Officer at Vericel Corporation, where during his tenure he led every function of the cell therapy company, most recently, the Commercial, Manufacturing, Engineering and R&D organizations. Previously, Orlando held executive positions in Business Development, Marketing and Sales with Takeda as well as similar developmental roles at Abbott Laboratories.
Super7 [SAN FRANCISCO] announced Maigread Eichten as Chief Executive Officer. Eichten was most recently at Harvard University where she received a Master’s in Public Policy while continuing her work as the Principal of Alitum Consulting where she provides strategic and operational support to high growth companies primarily in the consumer products arena.Eichten is a former PepsiCo Sales and Marketing Executive who founded the first Pepsi-Cola New Business team.
PCA SKIN [SCOTTSDALE, AZ] announced the appointment of Joanna Zucker as Chief Executive Officer. Zucker has more than 25 years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail, having served in senior management and marketing roles at PetSmart and Procter & Gamble, including nine years in global beauty care.
Rennova Health, Inc. [WEST PALM BEACH, FL] (OTC: RNVA) announced the appointment of Michael Alexander as Chief Executive Officer of Jamestown Medical Center, Inc. effective June 10, 2019. Alexander is a highly accomplished and experienced Operations Executive specialized in hospital administration and healthcare operations. Prior to joining Rennova Health as CEO of its Jamestown hospital, Alexander spent 10 years as Hospital Administrator with Tanner Health Systems in Georgia.
Everbridge, Inc. [BURLINGTON, MA] (NASDAQ: EVBG) announced the appointment of David Meredith as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Everbridge Board of Directors, effective July 15, 2019. Meredith most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Rackspace. Meredith succeeds long-time CEO Jaime Ellertson who is transitioning to the role of Executive Chairman of the Everbridge Board. Prior to Rackspace, Meredith served as President of Global Data Center Hosting at CenturyLink.
Maze Therapeutics [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Jason Coloma Maze’s current chief operating officer, has been appointed as chief executive officer. Coloma succeeds interim CEO, Charles Homcy who will assume the role of chairman of the company’s board of directors. Prior to joining Maze, Coloma was a venture partner at Third Rock Ventures. Coloma has also held interim chief business officer roles with Third Rock portfolio companies insitro and Celsius. Prior to joining Third Rock, Coloma was the senior vice president and chief business officer at Corvus Pharmaceuticals. Previously, he held a number of roles at Roche, including vice president & global therapeutic area head of oncology and cancer immunotherapy partnering. Before joining Roche, Coloma was a consultant in the life sciences practice at L.E.K. Consulting.
Headway [SANTA MONICA, CA] a business unit of Entravision Communications Corporation (NYSE: EVC) announced the appointment of Luis Barrague as Headway’s new Chief Executive Officer. Barrague is an accomplished executive and digital marketing leader who joined Headway in 2013. As Headway’s Chief Operating Officer, Barrague has led the company’s global operations, including its technology and product initiatives.
CyberScout [SCOTTSDALE, AZ] announced the appointment of Jennifer Leuer as Chief Executive Officer. Leuer joins CyberScout from Experian where she served as president of Partner Solutions. During her tenure at Experian, Leuer transformed the Partners Solutions business into a dynamic and fast-growing operating unit.
The Writing Revolution [NEW YORK] announced the hiring of Philip C. Weinberg as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Weinberg served as the Deputy Chief Academic Officer for Teaching and Learning at the New York City Department of Education. Prior to that, he was the Department’s Deputy Chancellor for Teaching and Learning.
Aceto [PORT WASHINGTON, NY] announced the appointment of Gilles Cottier as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Cottier served as Head of Bioscience at Lonza. Previously, he had held numerous positions of increasing responsibility at Sigma Aldrich during his nearly 30 years there, including his role as Executive Vice President and President of the Sigma Aldrich Fine Chemicals Commercial Unit.
Geisinger [DANVILLE, PA] announced that it has appointed Jaewon Ryu as president and chief executive officer. Ryu, who has served as interim president and CEO since November 2018 and executive vice president and chief medical officer since September 2016, succeeds David T. Feinberg who left Geisinger earlier this year to assume a leadership role at Google. Prior to joining Geisinger, Ryu served as President of Integrated Care Delivery for Humana, where he was responsible for Humana’s owned and joint ventured care delivery practices, as well as Transcend, a management services organization assisting affiliated practices to adopt population health under value-based reimbursement. Before this, he served as the chief medical officer at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System in Chicago.
N8 Medical [DUBLIN, OH] announced the appointment of Marc Rohman as Chief Executive Officer and Board member effective June 1st, 2019. Rohman previously worked at Scios, Inc. (acquired by Johnson & Johnson for $2.4 billion) where he was instrumental in the launch of Natrecor® (nesiritide) to treat acutely decompensated congestive heart failure. Most recently, Rohman worked for nearly 10 years at a private French Pharmaceutical company, Biocodex, leading their North American operations.
InsideSales.com [SILICON SLOPES, UT] announced Chris Harrington has been appointed chief executive officer. Previously COO of InsideSales.com, Harrington will succeed former CEO and founder Dave Elkington, who will remain with the company as Chairman of the Board. Before joining InsideSales.com, Harrington steered widespread SaaS adoption for digital sales and marketing powerhouses Omniture, Adobe, and Domo.
Electra Meccanica Vehicles Corp. [VANCOUVER, BC] (NASDAQ: SOLO) announced the appointment of Paul Rivera, as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Jerry Kroll, who is Founder and has served as CEO since 2015, will continue to contribute to the success of Electra Meccanica during this transition and will continue to advise in the future as a board member. Before joining Electra Meccanica, Rivera most recently served as President of Ricardo, USA, a division of Ricardo, PLC. Previous to that, Rivera served as Executive VP of Hybrid & Electric Systems at Ricardo.
CloudCheckr [ROCHESTER, NY] announced the appointment of Tim McKinnon as CEO and as a member of the Board of Directors. Founder and former CEO, Aaron Newman, moves to the Executive Chairman role on the Board of Directors. Most recently, McKinnon was President & CEO at Sonian, an Amazon and venture capital funded company, acquired by Barracuda Networks. Prior to Sonian, McKinnon was President at Ektron, backed by Accel-KKR, in the digital experience management space. At Ektron, McKinnon led a management turn-around, transforming Ektron’s product, business model, and go-to-market into a disruptive all-in-one software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution. He has also held leadership positions at Endeca, Microsoft, and Fast Search.
Smaato [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Arndt Groth will be promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Smaato, Inc. Groth will be succeeding Ragnar Kruse, who founded Smaato in 2005 and has led the company since inception. Arndt Groth has served as President of Smaato for the past year and a half. Groth was most recently the CEO of PubliGroupe AG in Lausanne, Switzerland, which was acquired by Swisscom AG. His previous roles include International Vice President, Northern Europe, for DoubleClick (Google) and CEO of InteractiveMedia CCSP AG, a subsidiary of T-Online International AG, one of Europe’s largest online marketers, and President Europe of Adconion Media Group.
Prevent Child Abuse America [CHICAGO, IL] announced that it has selected Melissa Merrick as the organization’s next president and chief executive officer. Merrick currently serves as a senior epidemiologist at the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and will begin with PCA America on July 15. Merrick will succeed Dan Duffy, a former two-term Illinois state senator and entrepreneur, who has led PCA America since 2016.
The Meadows Foundation [DALLAS, TX] announced Peter M. Miller will succeed Linda Perryman Evans as president and chief executive officer effective January 1, 2020. Most recently, Miller was senior vice president of private wealth management at Robert W. Baird. Miller also served in multiple leaderships roles at Wells Fargo Advisors, Wachovia Securities, A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., and Kidder, Peabody and Co. In addition to serving the Foundation, he co-founded Sons & Daughters of Soulard, and was a board member of Saint Louis Old Newsboys Day, Saint Louis Symphony, and Saint Louis Red Cross.
WellBiz Brands Inc. [ENGLEWOOD, CO] a franchise portfolio company operating three distinct wellness, fitness and beauty brands, Elements Massage®, Fitness Together®, and Amazing Lash Studio® announced that President, Jeremy Morgan, has been appointed to Chief Executive Officer. Morgan joined WellBiz Brands in 2017 and has served as President of the Company since April 2019.
Bentec Medical [WOODLAND, CA] announced the appointment of JG Singh as the Company’s CEO. Singh has worked in the Medical Device Industry for 16 years in leading roles with Cardinal Health, the Fluke Biomedical division of Danaher, and most recently, Gold Standard Diagnostics as part of the Eurofins group. Previous leadership roles include General Manager, CFO, V.P. Business Development, Global Sales Head, and Business Unit/Marketing Director. As part of these roles, Singh led strategic planning, acquisitions, and integration initiatives in the Clinical and Imaging Diagnostics markets. Singh’s experience building business systems, expanding markets, and extending product portfolios is critical to Bentec achieving key growth objectives.
Athletico Physical Therapy [OAK BROOK, IL] announced that Ron Rodgers will join the company as Chief Executive Officer. Rodgers was previously President of Fresenius Kidney Care, the largest U.S. division of Fresenius Medical Care. Athletico founder Mark Kaufman will remain as Executive Chairman. Rodgers joined Fresenius in 2010 when National Vascular Care, a company he co-founded to improve access to care primarily for dialysis patients’ vascular complications, was acquired by a subsidiary of Fresenius Medical Care.
FULLBEAUTY Brands Inc. [NEW YORK] announced that Jim Fogarty has been named Chief Executive Officer and appointed to the FULLBEAUTY Board of Directors. Fogarty succeeds Emilie Arel, who has resigned from her role as CEO and as a member of the Board. Fogarty most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Orchards Brands Corporation, a direct-to-consumer multichannel retailer with 13 brands including Blair, Haband, Drapers & Damon’s, Norm Thompson, Sahalie, Appleseed’s, Tog Shop, Old Pueblo Traders, Bedford Fair, Wintersilks, LinenSource, Solutions, and Gold Violin. Fogarty was Chief Executive Officer and Director of Charming Shoppes prior to his most recent role as CEO of Orchard Brands. Fogarty previously served as Chief Executive Officer and President of American Italian Pasta Company, Chief Financial Officer of Levi Strauss & Co, Chief Financial Officer of The Warnaco Group, and President and COO of Lehman Brothers Holdings following its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Earlier in his career, Fogarty spent 14 years at Alvarez & Marsal as a Managing Director and member of the Executive Committee Restructuring Group. Fogarty currently serves as a Director of Assertio Therapeutics, Inc. and Darden Restaurants.
