Evolution Research Group, LLC [NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ] has appointed Davide Molho as president and CEO. Lori Thievon Wright, who held the position for the past five years, will transition to chairman of the board and will remain an active board member. Wright is a co-founder of the company. Molho brings 25 years in the pharmaceutical services industry, most recently with Charles River Laboratories where he served as president and COO.
Gulfstream Property and Casualty Insurance Company [SARASOTA, FL] announced it has appointed Ronald E. “Nate” Natherson, Jr. as President and CEO. Natherson, an accomplished insurance-industry executive, joins Gulfstream having previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Southern Oak Insurance Company.
Interpublic Group [NEW YORK] (NYSE: IPG) announced that is has appointed Pete Stein as Global Chief Executive Officer of Huge. Most recently, Steinserved as General Manager at Fullscreen Media. Prior to that role, Stein spent over ten years at Razorfish, ultimately rising to global CEO of the organization.
IRIDEX Corporation [MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA] (NASDAQ: IRIX) announced the appointment of David Bruce to be the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Bruce succeeds outgoing CEO William M. Moore. Bruce has been a member of IRIDEX’s board of directors since April 2018 and has held several CEO and leadership positions in both public and private medical device growth-stage companies. Bruce served as CEO and Director of Arstasis, CEO and Director of EP MedSystems, and interim CEO and Director of Patient Safety Technologies. Bruce was also General Manager of the AcuNav Catheter Business for Siemens Medical Solutions, and COO for Catheter Robotics.
Express, Inc. [COLUMBUS, OH] (NYSE: EXPR) announced that the Company has appointed Timothy Baxter Chief Executive Officer, effective June 17. Baxter will succeed Matthew Moellering, who has served as Interim President and Interim CEO since January 2019. Moellering will remain with Express as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Baxter was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Delta Galil Premium Brands. Prior to that, he spent 26 years with Macy’s, Inc. and the former May Department Stores in various roles, most recently as Macy’s Chief Merchandising Officer.
Say® [NEW YORK] announced that Laurent Paulhac will serve as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Say, Paulhac served as Global Head of Client Relationship Management at TP ICAP. Before that, Paulhac was a member of the executive management teams at financial market companies ICAP and CME Group. Paulhac was also CEO of high-growth startups Credit Market Analysis and Prescient Markets, which he sold to CME Group and Sungard, respectively.
CorpAxe [NEW YORK] announced that Mark Pellegrino has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer. With this appointment, current CEO and Co-Founder, Ed Byon, will remain Chairman of the Board and CTO.
The National Summer Learning Association [BALTIMORE, MD] announced the appointment of Aaron Philip Dworkin as its new Chief Executive Officer. Dworkin succeeds founder and interim CEO, Matthew Boulay. Dworkin joins NSLA having most recently served as President of the After-School All-Stars National Network. Prior to After-School All-Stars, Dworkin founded and directed Hoops & Leaders.
StayOnline [CREEDMOOR, NC] announced the appointment of Mark Panico as Chief Executive Officer. Former CEO and founder Jim Higgins worked closely with the Board of Directors to identify a successor with the experience and skill set necessary to lead StayOnline into its next phase of growth. Most recently, Panico was the president of the Data Communications Division at Legrand, which includes the C2G, Quiktron, Lastar, and Ortronics brands.
York & Chapel [SHELTON, CT] has named Jill Perkins the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Perkins joined Y&C in 2018 as Executive Vice President. Prior to her post at York & Chapel, Perkins was President and CMO at Amplitude Marketing Group. Prior to her 15-year tenure there, Perkins held senior marketing roles at Playtex Products and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas.
Atlanta Housing [ATLANTA, GA] announced Joy Fitzgerald Interim President and CEO. Fitzgerald previously filled this role at the organization from 2013 to 2016. Before retiring in 2016, Fitzgerald spent close to four decades working in affordable housing. Fitzgerald was Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development for Atlanta Housing from February 2005 to August 2013 and served for 20 years at the Houston Housing Authority in various leadership roles, including General Counsel and, for nine years, President and CEO.
Mattress Firm [HOUSTON, TX] announced that it has appointed John Eck as President and Chief Executive Officer. Eck most recently was a senior advisor and consultant for media and emerging technology platforms at Rockdale Partners. Previously Eck was at Univision Communications Inc. where he served as Chief Local Media Officer. Eck spent 28 years at GE in lighting, aviation, financial services and media, where he had a variety of leadership roles in finance, Six Sigma, and operations and technology. Additionally, Eck was appointed an officer of GE in 2004 and led the integration of NBC and Universal from due diligence to operational and cultural alignment. Eck was later named President, NBC Television Network and President, MediaWorks.
WindSim AS [WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA] announced that it has appointed Donna Rennemo as president and chief executive officer. This leadership appointment follows the Board of Directors in WindSim and John Olaf Rømma agreement to step down as the company’s CEO.
Clarivate Analytics Plc [PHILADELPHIA, PA] (NYSE: CCC) announced that Executive Chairman Jerre Stead has agreed to expand his role at the company and become Chief Executive Officer effective June 30, 2019. Jay Nadler will transition from his role as CEO and member of Clarivate’s board of directors at the end of the second quarter and will serve as an advisor to the company through year-end. Stead recently served as Chairman and CEO at IHS Markit, Ltd. and previously as Executive Chairman and CEO at IHS Inc. Stead currently serves as Executive Chairman of Clarivate.
Baldwin Risk Partners [TAMPA, FL] announced the appointment of Trevor Baldwin as Chief Executive Officer. In his prior role as President of BRP, Baldwin successfully executed on driving BRP’s growth organically and through strategic partnership. Since joining in 2009, he has forged the identity of the holding company as it is today. Prior BRP CEO, Lowry Baldwin, will maintain an active role in the organization as Chairman of BRP.
Protective Insurance Corporation [CARMEL, IN] (NASDAQ: PTVCA) announced that it has appointed Jeremy D. Johnson as Chief Executive Officer. Johnson will also serve as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Johnson most recently served as President, US Commercial for American International Group, Inc. from February 2016 to December 2017. Johnson served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Lexington Insurance Company, AIG’s excess and surplus lines unit, from February 2013 to December 2017. Johnson served in various executive leadership roles at AIG between 2000 and 2013, including Specialty Product Line Executive, U.S. & Canada; President of Cat Excess Liability; U.S. Executive for Energy Excess Casualty; and Regional Vice President for the Mid-Atlantic territory. Prior to joining AIG, Johnson was a broker for Sedgwick, Inc. and Marsh, Inc.
ProAssurance Corporation [BIRMINGHAM, AL] (NYSE:PRA) announced that the company has elected Edward L.(Ned) Rand, Jr., the Company’s President and Chief Operating Officer, to succeed W. Stancil (Stan) Starnes as Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 2019. On that date, Starnes will have completed his twelfth year as Chief Executive Officer and will transition solely into the role of Executive Chairman of the Board.
Insurance Care Direct [DEERFIELD BEACH, FL] announced it has named former United States Senator and Governor of Nebraska E. Benjamin Nelson as Chief Executive Officer. Nelson will also continue to serve on the Advisory Board of ICD. Senator Nelson succeeded Seth Cohen, who served as CEO since 2001. Cohen, one of the founders of ICD, will remain with the Company as Co-Chair. Senator Nelson has resigned from the consulting firm Nelson, Taplin, Goldwater.
Akrevia Therapeutics [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced that René Russo has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of the company. Russo is an accomplished biotechnology executive with more than 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and development, including executive leadership roles spanning early clinical research through successful commercialization. Most recently, Russo served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Arsanis, Inc. Earlier at Arsanis, Russo held the position of Chief Development Officer. Previously, Russo served in various research and development roles of increasing responsibility over a 12-year period at Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc., most recently as its Vice President, Global Medical Affairs. From 1999 to 2004, Russo held roles of increasing responsibility at Bristol-Myers Squibb in Medical Operations and Clinical Pharmacology/Experimental Medicine. Russo currently serves as a Director of X4 Pharmaceuticals.
Pennoni [PHILADELPHIA, PA] announced David DeLizza has been selected as the firm’s new President and Chief Executive Officer beginning July 1, 2019. Anthony Bartolomeo, who has served as President and CEO for 20 years, will continue to contribute in the success of the transition to be concluded at the end of the year. DeLizza first joined Pennoni through Drexel University’s Co-Op program and was hired full time in 1979. DeLizza has more than three decades of experience in civil municipal engineering, coupled with broad experience in relationship development among stakeholders at the federal, state and local government levels.
Readen Holding Corp. [HENDERSON, NV] announced that it has appointed Kok Wai Lee as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Lee previously held the position of Board member of Readen Investment Limited in Hong Kong. As of 2017 Lee took the position as COO of Readen Investment in Hong Kong and as of 2018 Kok Wai Lee has been appointed to the position as Chief Investment Officer.
