T.Y. Lin International [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced that Matthew (Matt) G. Cummings has been named President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 22, 2019. Cummings has held senior executive positions and previously led a $2 Billion transportation infrastructure business at a global engineering and construction firm. Cummings succeeds former President and CEO Alvaro J. Piedrahita who transitions to a new role as Chairman of the Board of Directors of TYLI Group.
Kingland [CLEAR LAKE, IO] announced that Todd Rognes has been named Chief Executive Officer. David Kingland will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board and take on the role of Chief Innovation Officer of Kingland.
Catholic Health Association of the United States [WASHINGTON, DC] announced that Mary Haddad has been appointed president and chief executive officer. Haddad currently serves as vice president, sponsorship and mission services for CHA. Haddad will succeed Carol Keehan, who announced last fall that she will retire in June after serving 14 years as CHA’s president and CEO. Haddad has served with CHA since 2009.
SMS Assist [CHICAGO, IL] announced that Marc Shiffman has been named chief executive officer. Shiffman most recently served as the companies president and chief financial officer. Shiffman succeeds outgoing CEO Taylor Rhodes, who is departing the company to pursue a new opportunity. Before joining SMS Assist, Shiffman worked as a senior executive at MacAndrews & Forbes-owned-and-operated companies including Revlon, Coleman and Sunbeam.
A Place for Mom, Inc. [SEATTLE, WA] announced that Larry Kutscher has joined the Company as chief executive officer and APFM’s Board as a director. Kutscher succeeds Sean Kell, who has stepped down from his role as chief executive and will continue to serve as a senior advisor to the Company. Most recently, Kutscher served as CEO of TravelClick. Prior to TravelClick, Kutscher served as chief executive officer of Register.com. Prior to joining Register.com, Kutscher served as senior vice president and general manager of the Small Business Group at Dun & Bradstreet. Previously, he was managing director with Goldman Sachs Wealth Management and spent 12 years at American Express.
Tradewind [NEW YORK] have appointed Michael Albanese as CEO. Albanese was most recently Global Head of Agency Collateral Management at J.P. Morgan. Albanese was also J.P. Morgan’s Global Head of Securities Clearance.
Adicet Bio, Inc. [MENLO PARK, CA] announced that it has appointed Anil Singhal President and Chief Executive Officer. Singhal will also serve on the Board of Directors. Singhal succeeds Donald J. Santel, who has been acting as interim Chief Executive Officer. Santel will continue to serve as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. Singhal joins Adicet from Canaan Partners where he served as Executive in Residence and OncoResponse Inc., where he served as Chief Scientific Officer. Singhal is the former Vice President of Early Oncology Development of AbbVie and Head of their Abbvie-Redwood City, California site. Singhal serves on the Board of Directors of TriSalus Inc.
OncoCell MDx [ROYAL OAK, MI] announced the appointment of Mark McDonough as its president, chief executive officer and member of the Board of Directors. McDonough succeeds company co-founder, investor and Chairman/CEO Harry Stylli. Stylli continues as the executive chairman of the company. McDonough most recently served as the chief business officer at Phosphorus. Prior to joining Phosphorus, McDonough served as chief executive officer and president of CombiMatrix. McDonough also held executive and management positions with US LABS and Ventana Medical Systems as well as Pathwork Diagnostics.
The American Land Title Association [WASHINGTON, DC] announced it has named Diane Tomb as its new chief executive officer. Tomb, who has over 20 years experience in the housing field, will leverage her deep advocacy and public policy expertise on behalf of ALTA and its members. Tomb served as the executive director of the National Rental Home Council. She also served as president and CEO of the National Association of Women Business Owners. Previously, Tomb served as Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs at the Department of Housing and Urban Development during the George W. Bush administration.z
Opus Bank [IRVINE, CA] announced that Paul W. Taylor has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and President of Opus. Additionally, Taylor was simultaneously appointed to Opus’ Board of Directors. Taylor most recently served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Denver, Colorado-based Guaranty Bancorp, and its wholly-owned bank subsidiary, Guaranty Bank & Trust. Taylor succeeds Paul G. Greig, Chairman of Opus’ Board of Directors, who has served as Interim Chief Executive Officer and President of Opus Bank since November 2018. Greig will continue as Chairman of the Board, a position he has held since January 2018. From 2009 to 2011, Taylor served as Guaranty Bank’s Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Secretary. From 2004 to 2009, Taylor served as Guaranty Bank’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. From 2000 to 2004, he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer for Centennial Bank Holdings until its acquisition by Guaranty Bancorp. From 1998 to 2000, Taylor served as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions for Alex Sheshunoff Investment Banking.
MNX Global Logistics [LONG BEACH, CA] named John Labrie as President and Chief Executive Officer. MNX also announced that Paul J. Martins, CEO of MNX since 2014, will continue to be actively involved as Chairman of MNX’s Board of Advisors. Labrie was previously CEO of Network Global Logistics, whose Express division was acquired by MNX in 2018. Labrie previously also served in various senior leadership positions at Echo Global Logistics and Con-way, Inc., since acquired by XPO Logistics.
Applied Systems [UNIVERSITY PARK, IL] announced that it has named Taylor Rhodes as chief executive officer, effective June 3rd, 2019. Reid French, Applied’s previous CEO, will continue to advise the company as a member of Applied’s board of directors. Most recently, Rhodes served as chief executive officer of SMS Assist. Previously, he was CEO of Rackspace.
Masonite International Corporation [TAMPA, FL] (NYSE: DOOR) announced that Howard C. Heckes has been named President and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 3, 2019. Heckes will also join Masonite’s Board of Directors at that time. Heckes succeeds Fred Lynch, who previously announced his intention to retire. Heckes currently serves as CEO of Energy Management Collaborative. Previously, Heckes spent nine years in a variety of senior operations roles at Valspar Corporation, most recently overseeing Valspar’s Industrial Coatings portfolio.
NSS Labs, Inc. [AUSTIN, TX] announced that Jason Brvenik has been named Chief Executive Officer. Brvenik had been serving as Chief Technology Officer since January 2017. Vikram Phatak, CEO since 2007, will remain active on the Board of Directors and Executive team as Founder. Prior to NSS Labs, Brvenik worked in technology and leadership roles at Sourcefire from 2002 until the company’sacquisition by Cisco in 2013, where he also served on the security leadership team.
Batu Biologics Inc. [SAN DIEGO, CA] announced the appointment of Thomas Ichim to the position of its President and Chief Executive Officer. Samuel Wagner, the previous CEO of Batu Biologics, has moved on to other opportunities.
TETRA Technologies, Inc. [THE WOODLANDS, TX] (NYSE: TTI) announced the appointment of Brady M. Murphy, as Chief Executive Officer of the Company, following the previously announced retirement of Stuart. M. Brightman from his position as Chief Executive Officer. Murphy was previously TETRA’s President and Chief Operating Officer and will retain the role of President. Murphy was also named Chairman of the Board of Directors of CSI Compressco GP Inc., the general partner of CSI Compressco LP, a partially owned subsidiary of TETRA, replacing Brightman following his retirement. Murphy has been a member of the CCGP Board since February 21, 2018.
KaMin LLC [MACON, GA] announced that Mike Nelson has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. Nelson replaces Harlan Archer who has elected to retire after serving as President of the company since 2011 and Rankin Hobbs who has been serving as CEO since 2008. Archer will continue to serve as Special Advisor through 2019 to ensure a smooth transition and Hobbs will serve as Chairman of KaMin’s Board of Directors. Nelson began his career with the 3M Company in 1992 where he served in positions of increasing responsibility in the Printing and Publishing divisions. Nelson then joined MeadWestvaco Corporation in 2000 serving as Business Director, Engineered Products Group and Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. Additionally, Nelson held senior leadership positions with the Wausau Paper Corporation in the Technical Products Division and the Packaging and Paper Segment, as well as with Masonite International Corporation in their Architectural and Commercial Division. Since 2017, Nelson has served as Senior Vice President of Commercial Specialties and Food & Consumer Business Americas for Klockner Pentaplast, a global leader in packaging and printing solutions.
Snowflake Inc. [SAN MATEO, CA] appointed Frank Slootman as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Former CEO, Bob Muglia, has left the company. Between 2011 and 2017, Slootman was Chairman and CEO of ServiceNow. Prior to that, Slootman was Chairman and CEO of Data Domain.
Ragan Communications [CHICAGO, IL] announced that Diane Schwartz, former publisher of PR News, has joined Ragan Communications as Chief Executive Officer, effective May 13. Schwartz joins Ragan Communications after 23 years at Access Intelligence, where she was senior vice president and group publisher of the Media & Communications Division, including head of the PR News Group.
The Glaucoma Foundation [NEW YORK] announce the appointment of Elena Sturman as President and Chief Executive Officer, following the retirement of Scott R. Christensen who held the position since 2002. Sturman was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Phoenix House. Sturman spent much of her early career with the City College Fund. She served as the Fund’s Executive Director from 2005 to 2017.
First Bank [ST. LOUIS, MO] announced Shelley Seifert, former Chief Operating Officer of First Bank, has taken over the position of chairman and CEO of First Bank. Seifert will also serve as CEO and president of FB Corporation, the holding company of First Bank. Former CEO Tim Lathe informed the board of directors in 2018 of his plans to retire in July 2019. Seifert joined First Bank in October 2014 as executive vice president and chief administrative officer. In August 2015, Seifert was promoted to COO where she oversaw retail banking, technology, operations, human resources, marketing and more.
Sunbelt Business Advisors [MINNEAPOLIS, MN] named Brian Slipka Chairman and CEO, effective May 6, 2019. Slipka comes from TCF, where he most recently served as senior executive officer of TCF Technology Finance and formerly as chief revenue officer of Winthrop Resources, a TCF subsidiary.
The Center for Health Affairs [CLEVELAND, OH] has named Brian Lane as its new president and CEO. Lane will succeed Phil Mazanec, who has served the organization for nearly 40 years, including as the interim president and CEO for the last 16 months. Most recently, Lane has been serving at Oracle as the key account director for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Prior to this, Lane was Oracle’s global client advisor for Cigna and CVS, and also had been the lead healthcare strategist for HHS and the U.S. Defense Health Agency.
Armstrong Flooring, Inc. [LANCASTER, PA] (NYSE: AFI) announced that Donald R. Maier, President and Chief Executive Officer will step down as CEO. Armstrong Flooring Chair Larry S. McWilliams has been elected Chief Executive Officer on an interim basis. McWilliams, the former President and CEO of Keystone Foods and a former senior executive at Campbell Soup Company, joined the Armstrong World Industries Board in 2010 and became Chair of the Board of Armstrong Flooring in 2016. McWilliams is a longtime executive in the retail and consumer sectors and will remain the Chair of Board of Armstrong Flooring. McWilliams is also the Chair of Board of Armstrong World Industries.
BALANCE [CONCORD, CA] has named Rico Delgadillo as Interim President and CEO. Kathryn Davis, current President and CEO has announced she will be joining Valley First Credit Union starting next month. Delgadillo currently serves as SVP of Counseling and Client Care.
KI [GREEN BAY, WI] announced that Brian Krenke will be the company’s next CEO, effective May 1, 2019. Krenke will take over for Dick Resch, who has served as KI CEO since 1983. Resch will remain on the KI board of directors and assume the title of Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board. Krenke joined KI in 1991 as a sales engineer and has held various senior leadership roles at the company. He has served as the company’s president since 2010. As president, Krenke has overseen KI’s day-to-day operations, including sales, marketing, and product design and development. Krenke has also managed operations for KI subsidiary Pallas Textiles.
