The Kraft Heinz Company [PITTSBURGH, PA & CHICAGO, IL] (NASDAQ: KHC) announced that the Company has appointed Miguel Patricio as Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 2019. Patricio will succeed Bernardo Hees, who will remain CEO through June 30, 2019. Patricio will join the Company after a successful career spanning two decades at Anheuser-Busch InBev, where he served as part of the Executive Leadership team in various positions. At AB InBev, Patricio served as the Global Chief Marketing Officer from 2012 to 2018. Prior to that, Patricio was AB InBev’s President of Asia Pacific from 2008 to 2012 and President of North America from 2006 to 2008. Prior to AB InBev, Patricio has worked at other consumer companies including Philip Morris, The Coca-Cola Company and Johnson & Johnson in Latin America, New Jersey, and Georgia.
Panera Bread [ST. LOUIS, MO] announced that it has appointed Niren Chaudhary as President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Blaine Hurst who is retiring from his current role as CEO of Panera effective May 23, 2019. Hurst will remain on the Board of Panera and become Vice Chairman. Chaudhary joins Panera from Krispy Kreme, where he has been the Chief Operating Officer and President of Krispy Kreme International since 2017. Previously Chaudhary spent 23 years with Yum! Brands in a variety of executive positions.
The Addiction Campuses [NASHVILLE, TN] announced it has tapped Matt Morgan to serve as its Chief Executive Officer and Board Member. Morgan has served nearly 10 years as Chief Executive Officer and senior level officer in a variety of healthcare services companies. Prior to joining Addiction Campuses, Morgan was CEO of Dental Services Group, a Cressey & Co. private equity sponsored dental laboratory company. Morgan also previously served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Amedisys. Among his other significant previous positions, Morgan served as President and General Manager of AseraCare Home Health & Hospice and Vice President of Operations for Baylor HealthCare System. Morgan also founded, led the growth and subsequent sale of two private startups.
Empire Petroleum Partners, LLC [DALLAS, TX] has announced the appointment of Rick Golman as its new Chief Executive Officer. Golman succeeds Rocky Dewbre who joined Empire in 2017. Golman was the co-founder of Quik-Way Group in Dallas where he grew the company’s fuel distribution partnering with leading industry brands while managing the company operations. Subsequent to Quik-Way merging with Empire, Golman served as Executive VP and Board Member through 2016. Golman has also served as managing partner of QW Transport. Most recently, Golman has been an advisor to Corner Capital Partners in his role as Senior VP of Business Development.
Contura Energy, Inc. [BRISTOL, TN] (NYSE: CTRA) announced that its chief executive officer, Kevin Crutchfield, will be leaving his role as chief executive officer, effective May 6.
Applied Energetics, Inc. [TUCSON, AZ] (OTCQB: AERG) announced the appointment of Gregory J. Quarles as President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member, effective May 6, 2019. Quarles succeeds Brad Adamczyk, who has served as Principal Executive Officer since August 6, 2018. Adamczyk will become Chairman of the Board. Before joining Applied Energetics, Quarles spent the last six years with The Optical Society of America, both as a Board Member and more recently as the Chief Scientific Officer. In addition to his work at OSA, Quarles is the founder of Opto-Electronic Management Network. From 2008 until 2012, Quarles served as a board member of Redmond, WA based B.E. Meyers & Co., Inc. Quarles served in the roles of CEO, President and COO during a period of his tenure as a board member. From 2002 until 2010, Quarles served as Director of Corporate Research, Development & Technology and Director of Federal Government Relations for II-VI Incorporated.
CoreView [ATLANTA, GA] announced Michael A. Morrison has been appointed as its new chief executive officer. Former CoreView CEO Dave Moran will remain a member of CoreView’s board of directors. Morrison most recent served as President and CEO of Datawatch Corporation.
GreenGro Technologies, Inc. [ANAHEIM, CA] (OTC: GRNH) announced that it has appointed Matthew Burden as its interim Chief Executive Officer. Burden will succeed James Haas as CEO, who will still maintain his role as Chairman of the Board. Prior to his role at GreenGro, Burden was CEO/Operations Manager for Basco Group for nearly a decade. Burden was also Operations Manager at CopperTop Enterprises, Inc. Most recently, Burden has served as an independent consultant providing project analysis, budgeting and other expertise to The Agency real estate firm.
Compass Minerals [OVERLAND PARK, KS] (NYSE: CMP) announced that Kevin S. Crutchfield will become the company’s president and chief executive officer and serve as a member of its Board of Directors effective May 7, 2019. Crutchfield joins Compass Minerals with more than 30 years of mining experience, most recently as CEO of Contura Energy, Inc. Previously, Crutchfield served as chairman (from 2012 to 2016) and CEO (from 2009 to 2016) of Alpha Natural Resources, Inc., a coal producer. From 2003 to 2009, he held roles of increasing responsibility at Alpha Natural Resources. Prior to Alpha Natural Resources, Crutchfield spent over 15 years working at natural gas, coal and gas producers.
Zagster [BOSTON, MA] announced the appointment of Dan Grossman as its Chief Executive Officer. Grossman replaces interim CEO Daniel Herscovici, who resassumes his leadership role on Zagster’s Board of Directors. Grossman most recently served as CEO of Chariot, and Global VP of Microtransit at Ford. Prior to joining Ford, Grossman was Chief Operating Officer at Maven, General Motors’ global mobility division, and was a vice president at Zipcar.
Beep [ORLANDO, FL] announced the appointment of Joe Moye, to the role of Chief Executive Officer. Before joining Beep, Moye was the General Manager of the Public Sector business at Virtustream. Prior to that, Moye served as President of Blackbaud’s Enterprise Software Group. Moye was also previously the CEO for Capgemini’s U.S. Public Sector Company.
Comerica Incorporated [DALLAS, TX] announced that Ralph W. Babb Jr., Executive Chairman, Comerica Incorporated and Comerica Bank, will retire on December 31, 2019. Babb will be succeeded by Curtis C. Farmer, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Comerica Incorporated and Comerica Bank, who will assume the additional title of Chairman, effective January 1, 2020. Farmer joined Comerica as Executive Vice President of Wealth Management in 2008, from Wachovia Bank, where he spent 23 years, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Wealth Management Director. Farmer was named Vice Chairman of Comerica’s Retail Bank and Wealth Management divisions in 2011, and was named President, Comerica Incorporated and Comerica Bank in 2015. In 2018, Farmer’s responsibilities expanded to include Technology and Operations.
Basanite, Inc. [POMPANO BEACH, FL] (OTC MARKETS: BASA) announced the appointment of its new Chief Executive Officer, and newest Board Member: Richard Krolewski.
Rackspace [SAN ANTONIO, TX] announced the appointment of Kevin M. Jones as Chief Executive Officer. Jones succeeds Joe Eazor. Prior to being named CEO of Rackspace, Kevin served as Chief Executive Officer of MV Transportation. Before joining MV, Jones held global leadership roles at DXC Technology, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Dell, Hewlett Packard and Electronic Data Systems.
The National Angel Capital Organization [TORONTO, ON] announced the appointment of Claudio Rojas as its new Chief Executive Officer. Rojas has held the roles of founder, managing director, board member, steering committee member and advisor to several prominent organizations helping to advance Canada’s vibrant innovation ecosystem. Rojas brings over 14 years of experience in finance, law and business.
American Midstream Partners, LP [HOUSTON, TX] (NYSE: AMID) announced that Lynn Bourdon III, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of American Midstream GP, LLC, the (“General Partner”) of American Midstream Partners, LP, notified the Partnership of his decision to resign effective May 3, 2019.
Templar Energy LLC [OKLAHOMA CITY, OK] announced that David D. Le Norman has tendered his resignation to the board of managers and will be stepping down from his position as President and Chief Executive Officer. Le Norman will remain a member of the Board of Templar and serve in the role of Chairman. Brian Simmons, Chief Operating Officer at Le Norman Operating, LLC has been named as the Company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Simmons joined Templar in August of 2013. Prior to joining Templar, Simmons worked for Chesapeake Energy. Simmons served as the Superintendent in the Haynesville Shale play.
Worth Collection LTD [NEW YORK] announced that Susan Gustafson has been named CEO. Gustafson joins Worth following a nationwide search, after the company’s 2018 recapitalization by an affiliate of private equity firm New Water Capital, L.P. Positions Gustafson has held include President of Ratner Companies, Senior Vice President of Marketing for The Pampered Chef, and Brand Development Strategist for Things Remembered.
MondoBrain [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Jerome Beauguitte to the role of CEO, North America. Prior to joining MondoBrain, Beauguitte spent nearly five years in sales and leadership roles at Sprinklr, and over three years with Google.
eMindful [ORLANDO, FL] announced the appointment of Mary Pigatti as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining eMindful, Pigatti served as Chief Executive Officer of Retrofit, Inc. Previously, Pigatti held leadership roles at United Health Group’s Optum division, Johnson & Johnson’s Wellness & Prevention business, Ceridian, and Limeade.
Lucid Motors [NEWARK, CA] announced that it has appointed Peter Rawlinson as CEO. Rawlinson will also retain his role as CTO. Prior to Lucid, Rawlinson was Vice President of Vehicle Engineering and Chief Engineer of the Model S at Tesla. Prior to Tesla, he was Chief Engineer at Lotus Cars and Principal Engineer at Jaguar Cars. Former CEO and Lucid co-founder Sam Weng has retired, having held several key leadership roles throughout his eleven-year tenure with the company. Prior to Lucid, Weng held senior technical and commercial roles at Oracle, Redback Networks and Silicon Valley technology startups.
The Amynta Group [NEW YORK] announced that it has appointed Robert Giammarco as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Giammarco joins Amynta from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he served as Managing Director, Head of Americas Financial Institutions Group. Giammarco succeeds Stuart Hollander who will become an advisor to the Amynta Board of Directors. Giammarco has been with Bank of America Merrill Lynch for over 20 years, having led the Financial Institutions Group for the Americas since 2014.
Phoenix Specialty Mfg. Co. [BAMBERG, SC] announced that it has appointed Russell Hurst III as Chief Executive Officer. Since joining the company as Press Room Manager in 2010, Hurst has since held the positions of Operations Manager, Vice President of Sales, and now CEO.
Chico’s FAS, Inc. [FORT MYERS, FL] (NYSE: CHS) announced that Bonnie Brooks, former Vice Chair, President and CEO of Hudson’s Bay Company and a current member of the Chico’s FAS Board of Directors, has been appointed Interim CEO of the Company. This appointment follows the resignation of Shelley Broader from her roles as CEO and President, and as member of the Board. Brooks joined Hudson’s Bay in 2008 as Chief Executive Officer and President. From 2012 to 2014, Brooks served as President of Hudson’s Bay Company, responsible for both Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor department stores USA. From 1997 to 2008, Brooks was based in Hong Kong serving as an executive officer, including as President of the Lane Crawford Joyce Group. Prior to that, Brooks spent over a decade at Holt Renfrew & Company, in roles that included Executive Vice President and General Merchandise Manager.
Dynacare [BRAMPTON, ON] announced that Vito Ciciretto will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer. Since November 2018, Ciciretto has served as both Interim CEO and Vice-President of Operations for Dynacare. Ciciretto joined Dynacare as Vice-President of Laboratory Operations and Customer Service in 2009. Previous to his roles at Dynacare, Ciciretto was the Chief Operating Officer at Algonquin Power Income Trust and held 15-years of management roles of increasing responsibility at Honeywell Aerospace.
MITY Inc. [OREM, UT] announced that Tony R. Smith has been appointed chief executive officer. Smith served as CEO and president for International Bedding Company, COO for Sealy Canada, and president of sales for Serta Simmons Bedding Corporation.
Ansira Partners, Inc. [ST. LOUIS, MO] announced that current Chief Financial and Operating Officer Laurie MacLaren has been named Chief Executive Officer of Ansira. MacLaren succeeds Daina Middleton. Middleton will become Ansira’s Vice Chair and serve as an advisor to the Board of Directors. Before joining Ansira, MacLaren spent 19 years with Sapient. During her time at Sapient, MacLaren served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. MacLaren also led the integration efforts of Sapient into Publicis Groupe after its acquisition of Sapient in 2015.
Sonic Foundry [MADISON, WI] announced that after eight years of leading the company, Chief Executive Officer Gary Weis will retire, effective May 1. Weis will serve as a Senior Advisor to the company through April 30, 2020 and remain on the company’s Board of Directors, where he has been since 2004. Michael Norregaard, who was named Chief Operating Officer earlier this year, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer.
WindMIL Therapeutics [BALTIMORE, MD] announced the appointment of Donald J. Hayden, Jr., as CEO. Hayden currently serves as interim CEO and Chairman of the Board. The CEO role at WindMIL is the first full-time executive position Hayden has accepted since his time at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he served as president of Global Pharmaceuticals; executive vice president and president, Americas; executive vice president of the Health Care Group and president of Oncology and Immunology. Since leaving Bristol-Myers Squibb, Hayden has served as chairman of numerous biotech company boards, including REGENXBIO, Amicus Therapeutics, Insmed, Vitae Pharmaceuticals and Gloucester Pharmaceuticals.
Wabtec Corporation [WILMERDING, PA] (NYSE: WAB) announced Rafael Santana will become president and CEO of the company, effective July 1, 2019. Santana, who will also become a Wabtec board member, will succeed Ray Betler, who will retire as a Wabtec executive and board member. Santana joined Wabtec earlier this year as president and CEO of the company’s Freight segment following the merger of Wabtec and GE Transportation, where he served as president and CEO of the General Electric unit.
LakePoint Sports [EMERSON, GA] announced it has named Mark O’Brien as its new president and CEO. O’Brien recently served as president of Mizuno USA and chairman of Mizuno Canada. O’Brien has more than two decades of executive leadership for some of the most recognizable brands in the world, including Mizuno USA and Mizuno Canada, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, The Original Honey Baked Ham Company, Johnsonville Sausage and Miller Brewing Company (now MillerCoors).
Bunge Limited [WHITE PLAINS, NY] (NYSE: BG) announced the appointment of Gregory A. Heckman as Chief Executive Officer. Heckman joined the Bunge board in October 2018 and has served as Acting CEO since January 2019. Heckman previously served as CEO of the Gavilon Group and in senior executive roles at ConAgra Foods.
