SantaFe HealthCare [GAINESVILLE, FL] announced Lawrence (Larry) Schreiber, an accomplished healthcare executive with over 30 years of experience, has been named president and CEO. Prior to joining SantaFe HealthCare, Schreiber served a dual role as president and CEO of Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield and the CEO of Wisconsin Collaborative Insurance Company, both Anthem companies. Schreiber joined Anthem in 2006 and served in multiple roles during his time with the organization, including leadership at UniCare Life and Health, an Anthem subsidiary. Before joining Anthem, Schreiber held a number of executive management positions including vice president of sales and regional vice president at UnitedHealth Group, vice president at Midwest Security Insurance Companies.
Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges [ORLANDO, FL] announced Henry Stoever, chief marketing officer at the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), was named the next president and CEO. Stoever will begin his tenure on July 1, 2019, succeeding Richard D. Legon, who is retiring after 13 years as president. Prior to NACD, Stoever spent four years at Brazos Higher Education Service Corporation. Stoever has also held a number of marketing leadership positions for CoStar Group, Inc., Sprint-Nextel Corporation, LexisNexis Group Inc., and Kraft Foods, Inc.
Nurx [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced that Varsha Rao has been appointed the company’s new CEO. Rao most recently served as COO of Clover Health. Prior to Clover Health, Rao served as Airbnb’s Head of Global Operations. Rao also oversaw the Customer Experience and Trust & Safety teams at Airbnb. Rao joined Nurx earlier this year as an advisor and is also an early investor in the company. Rao succeeds Hans Gangeskar, who co-founded Nurx in 2015.
The Bloc [NEW YORK] announced the promotion of Jennifer Matthews to CEO and president. Founding partners Susan Miller Viray and Rico Viray will assume the respective positions of chairman of The Bloc and chairman of The BlocPartners.
GCOM Software Inc. [ALBANY, NY] announced that Kamal Bherwani will assume the role of CEO effective May 1, 2019. Founder and current CEO, Girish Bhatia, will continue as a member of the Board. Most recently, Bherwani served as the Chief Technology Officer of Invesrsora Agroindustrial Global.
VIA Motors International, Inc. [OREM, UT] announced the appointment of Robert (Bob) Purcell as the new Chief Executive Officer, replacing Peter Guile. Purcell has been Chief Operating Officer of the company since March 2015. Purcell held key leadership positions in the General Motors Corporation, Boston-Power advanced battery company and Protean Electric.
Roan Resources, Inc. [OKLAHOMA CITY, OK] (NYSE: ROAN) announced the resignation of Tony Maranto from his positions of Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer and President. In connection with Maranto’s resignation, Joseph A. Mills, who has served on the Company’s Board of Directors since November 2018, has been appointed to the position of Executive Chairman of the Board and will assume the duties and responsibilities of the principal executive officer of the Company. Mills currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Samson Resources II, LLC, a position he has held since March 2017. Prior to joining Samson Resources, Mills served in various roles, including Chairman and Chief Executive Officer positions for several public and private oil and gas companies, including Eagle Rock Energy G&P, LLC and Montierra Management LLC.
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute [WASHINGTON, DC] announced the appointment of Marco A. Davis as CHCI President and CEO, effective May 6, 2019. Davis comes to his new position after being a partner at New Profit, a national nonprofit venture philanthropy. Davis served under the administration of President Barack Obama as Deputy Director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics and as the Director of Public Engagement for the Corporation for National and Community Service. Previously, he was Director of Global Fellowship and Regional Manager for Latin America at Ashoka’s Youth Venture and led leadership development for UnidosUS.
ServiceMax [PLEASANTON, CA] announced that it has appointed Neil Barua as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Previously, Barua was CEO of IPC Systems. Most recently, Barua served as an operating partner at Silver Lake, a significant shareholder in ServiceMax. Barua’s appointment concludes a thorough search for a successor to Scott Berg, who will become an advisor to ServiceMax’s Board.
Caesars Entertainment Corporation [LAS VEGAS, NV] (NASDAQ: CZR) announced that it has named Anthony (“Tony”) Rodio as Chief Executive Officer. Rodio will join the Company’s Board of Directors. Rodio has nearly four decades of experience in the gaming industry. Since October 2018, Rodio served as Chief Executive Officer of Affinity Gaming. Prior to this, he served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Tropicana Entertainment, Inc.
Affinity Gaming [LAS VEGAS, NV] announced the appointment of Mary Elizabeth Higgins as Chief Executive Officer. Higgins has served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer and succeeds Tony Rodio who will leave Company to pursue other opportunities. For nearly 20 years, Higgins has held executive roles in the gaming sector. Before joining Affinity in June 2018, Higgins was instrumental in establishing VICI Properties, a REIT spinoff from Caesars Entertainment Operating Company, Inc. (CEOC), and served as its CFO. From 2014 to 2017, Higgins was CFO of CEOC, the largest subsidiary of Caesars Entertainment Corporation. Earlier in her career, Higgins served as CFO at companies such as Global Cash Access Holdings, Inc., Herbst Gaming, Inc., the predecessor company of Affinity Gaming, and Camco, Inc.
Novomer, Inc. [ROCHESTER, NY] has named Jeff Uhrig as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective November 18, 2019. Uhrig’s most recent position was President and Chief Executive Officer for Sirrus Inc. Uhrig also served as vice president of corporate development at Elevance Renewable Sciences and was vice president in the clean technology investment banking group at Piper Jaffray & Co.
Aprecia [CINCINNATI, OH] announced that Chris Gilmore has been named the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Gilmore previously served as Vice President, Strategic Business Ventures at Prasco Laboratories.
Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US [SUWANEE, GA] announces the promotion of Mark Kuntz to chief executive officer. Kuntz joined Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc.’s Cooling & Heating Division in 2010 and previously held positions in sales, marketing, product development, engineering and administration. Prior to the joint venture formation, Kuntz held the position of senior vice president and deputy general manager of the Cooling & Heating Division. Kuntz was promoted to chief operating officer for METUS in August 2018 after the joint venture’s formation.
Hanna Andersson [PORTLAND, OR] announced that Michael J. Edwards has joined the company as President and Chief Executive Officer. Edwards succeeds Joelle Maher, who has decided to step down to pursue other opportunities. Most recently, Edwards served as President and Chief Executive Officer of eBags. Previously, Edwards served as Executive Vice President Global Merchandising at Staples Inc., President and Chief Executive Officer of Borders, and President and Chief Executive of Lucy Activewear.
OptiRTC, Inc. [BOSTON, MA] announced the appointment of David Rubinstein as Chief Executive Officer. Rubinstein has served as Opti’s President and Chief Operating Officer since he joined the company in January 2018. Rubinstein succeeds Marcus Quigley, Opti’s founder and stormwater industry pioneer, who is transitioning to serve the company as Senior Advisor. Prior to joining Opti, Rubinstein held senior executive roles and was responsible for setting the strategy, operations, and structure at several high-growth SaaS organizations, including DataXu, Inc., Resolve Technology, and Invoke Solutions.
PACCAR Inc. [BELLEVUE, WA] (Nasdaq: PCAR) announced that it has elected Preston Feight as chief executive officer effective July 1, 2019. Feight was also elected as a member of the Board of Directors, effective on the same date. Feight is currently executive vice president of PACCAR and succeeds Ron Armstrong who has served as the company’s chief executive officer since April 2014. Armstrong will retire from the company and the Board on June 30, 2019. Preston has been with PACCAR for twenty-one years with leadership roles as President of DAF Trucks, Vice President and General Manager of Kenworth Truck Company as well as Assistant General Manager Sales and Marketing and Chief Engineer at Kenworth.
