Northpoint Recovery [BOISE, ID] has named John Flanagan as Chief Executive Officer. Before joining the team at Northpoint Recovery, Flanagan served as Senior Vice President of Operations, Western Division, for Springstone Inc.
Nevro Corp. [REDWOOD CITY, CA] (NYSE: NVRO) announced that D. Keith Grossman has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Nevro and a member of the Board of Directors. Grossman succeeds Rami Elghandour, who has stepped down as President, CEO and a director of the Company. Grossman served most recently, and for the second time, as the President, Chief Executive Officer and director of Thoratec Corporation. Prior to Thoratec, he served as President, Chief Executive Officer and director of Conceptus. Prior to Conceptus, Grossman served as managing director of TPG as a member of its healthcare investment team. Prior to TPG, Grossman served as Thoratec’s President, Chief Executive Officer. Grossman currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Outset Medical, Inc. Board member of ViewRay, Inc. and previously served as a member of the Board of directors of Intuitive Surgical, Inc., Kyphon, Inc., and a number of privately held medical device companies.
Fulham Co. [HAWTHORNE, CA] announced the appointment of Antony Corrie as President and CEO. Current President and CEO Bob Howard-Anderson was named an advisor to the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining Fulham, Corrie was President, Worldwide Sales for Harvard Technology. Corrie joined Harvard in 2012 after more than 18 years with Future Electronics, including time with its European subsidiary FAI Electronics.
Movius [ATLANTA, GA] announced that John Loiacono has joined the company as CEO. A Silicon Valley veteran, Loiacono has held senior executive roles across large public companies and has initiated numerous new ventures. Prior to Movius, Loiacono most recently was founder and CEO at Jolata.
Atlee Burpee Company [WARMINSTER, PA] has named James (Jamie) Mattikow, President and Chief Executive Officer. Mattikow formerly served as Chief Commercial Officer at Ferrara Candy Company. Mattikow experience with more than twenty-five years of marketing and brand management at companies that include Kraft, Mars, Cosi Inc., Seagram Beverage Company and Hasbro.
Learning Care Group, Inc. [NOVI, MI] announced that Chief Executive Officer Barbara J. Beck will be retiring at the end of the company’s fiscal year, June 30, 2019 and will be retained as an Executive Advisor to the Company until June 30, 2020. Effective July 1, 2019, Mark Bierley, LCG’s current President and Chief Operating Officer, will be promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer.
Freddie Mac [MCLEAN, VA] (OTCQB: FMCC) announced that Donald H. Layton will retire as Chief Executive Officer and that the company has appointed David M. Brickman to succeed him effective Monday, July 1. Brickman will become a member of the Freddie Mac Board of Directors at that time.
Grand Capital Ventures, Inc. [PORT ST. LUCIE, FL] (OTC: GRCV) named Meir ‘Miko’ Avitan as a new Director and as new Chief Executive Officer.
Nitro Circus [LOS ANGELES, CA] announced that Andy Edwards has been named Chief Executive Officer. For the past two years, Edwards has served as President of the leading sports and entertainment brand. Prior to that Edwards was Chief Operating Officer and Board Director after co-founding Nitro Circus Live in 2009.
Authority Health [DETROIT, MI] has named Loretta V. Bush president and CEO of Authority Health. Bush will replace Chris Allen, who has served as president of Authority Health since its inception in 2004, who will retired on April 30. Bush has served as chief executive officer of the Michigan Primary Care Association. Prior to this position, Bush served as Group Executive/Health Officer for the Detroit Department of Health and Wellness Promotion and the Department of Health Services, Director of Public Health/Health Officer for the Wayne County Department of Public Health, Director of the Division of Health, Wellness and Disease Control, Michigan Department of Community Health, and Administrator of the HIV/AIDS Programs for the City of Detroit Health Department.
Hibbett Sports, Inc. [BIRMINGHAM, AL] (NASDAQ/GS: HIBB) announced the planned retirement of Jeff Rosenthal, President and Chief Executive Officer. The Board will commence a search process to identify the Company’s next CEO, and Rosenthal will remain at the Company in his CEO capacity until a successor is named. Rosenthal will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation [GREELEY, CO] (NASDAQ: PPC) announced that it has approved the appointment of Jayson Penn, current President of Pilgrim’s USA, to succeed Bill Lovette, who is retiring from the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Pilgrim’s Pride. Penn joined Pilgrim’s in March 2011 and has served as Senior Vice President of the Commercial Business Group, Executive Vice President of Sales and Operations and, most recently, as President of Pilgrim’s USA. Prior to Pilgrim’s, Penn served in management positions at several leading poultry companies. Penn has also served on the board of directors and the executive committee of the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council and currently serves on the board and executive committee of the National Chicken Council and the board of directors of The World Poultry Foundation.
WomenHeart [WASHINGTON, DC] announced Celina Gorre as its new Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Gorre served as executive director of the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases. Previously, Gorre was the managing director of the Foundation for the United Nations Global Compact. Gorre has worked for the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (now GBCHealth).
The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians [SAN MANUEL INDIAN RESERVATION, HIGHLAND, CA] announced it has named Loren Gill as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Jerry Peresa who was named CEO Emeritus in September 2018. Gill joined San Manuel Casino as General Manager in 2015. In his new role, Gill will be responsible for overall leadership and strategic operations for San Manuel Tribal Government Operations as well as San Manuel Casino.
Kiip [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced it has hired Jason Lapp as its new CEO. Lap will also join its Board of Directors. Lapp will be based in Kiip’s San Francisco office. Most recently Lapp was the Chief Growth Officer at Kantar/WPP. Lapp replaces Kiip founder and former CEO, Brian Wong, who departed his day-to-day role with the company in February and has been on an indefinite leave of absence.
Virginia Bio [RICHMOND, VA] announced that after seven years of service Jeff Gallagher CEO will step down from his position as CEO later this year, then will continue to serve the association on select special projects. A national search for a new CEO will begin immediately, conducted by the Virginia Bio Board of Directors.
Martha’s Table [WASHINGTON, DC] announced Kim R. Ford will become the new President & CEO of the nonprofit. Ford recently worked at the U.S. Department of Education. At the U.S. Department of Education, Ford served as Acting Assistant Secretary in the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education. Prior, Ford worked at the University of the District of Columbia as Dean of the Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Division. Ford also served in President Obama’s Administration. After six years leading the organization as President & CEO, Patty Stonesifer announced her retirement in November 2018.
VSE Corporation [ALEXANDRIA, VA] (NASDAQ: VSEC) announced Chief Executive Officer, President and member of the Board of Directors, Maurice “Mo” Gauthier, will step down next month as a company officer and director after 11 years of dedicated service. The Board has elected John Cuomo to the position of CEO and President and to the Board of Directors effective April 15, 2019. Cuomo was previously Vice President and General Manager of Boeing Distribution Services Inc. Prior to Boeing’s acquisition of the Aerospace Solutions Group (ASG) of KLX Inc. in October of 2018, Cuomo served as General Manager of ASG. B/E Aerospace spun off KLX as a publicly traded company in December 2014. Cuomo has over 18 years of experience in the aerospace distribution and services market and served in multiple roles and functions at B/E Aerospace from April 2000 to 2014, including Vice President & General Manager and Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Marketing & Business Development.
Star Group, L.P. [STAMFORD, CT] (NYSE: SGU) announced several management changes related to the prior passing of President and CEO Steve Goldman in December 2018. Jeffrey M. Woosnam is named President and Chief Executive Officer. Interim CEO Dan Donovan will step down from active management but remain a member of the Board of Directors of Kestrel Heat, LLC, Star’s general partner. Woosnam, President and Chief Executive Officer, is also appointed as a Director of Kestrel. Woosnam was most recently Senior Vice President, Southern Operations, a position he held since May, 2014. Prior to this, Woosnam served as Vice President, Southern Operations and was previously Director of Operations for Petroleum Heat and Power, a subsidiary of Star Group. Woosnam has been with the Company since 1994.
GameStop Corp. [GRAPEVINE, TX] (NYSE: GME) announced that it has appointed George Sherman as chief executive officer and member of the board of directors, effective April 15, 2019. Sherman succeeds Shane Kim, who has served as interim Chief Executive Officer since May 2018 and as a director since July 2011. Most recently, Sherman served as chief executive officer of Victra. In addition to being chief executive officer at Victra, Sherman also served as president and interim chief executive officer for Advance Auto Parts, and president of Best Buy Services. Prior to Best Buy, Sherman ran the operations and home services divisions of Home Depot and spent 14 years with the Target Corporation in various leadership positions.
Mirum Pharmaceuticals [FOSTER CITY, CA] announced the appointment of Chris Peetz as chief executive officer. The company’s former CEO, Mike Grey, will stay on with Mirum in the role of executive chairman of its Board of Directors. Prior to his advancement to CEO, Peetz was appointed as Mirum’s president and a board member at the company’s founding last year. Previously, Peetz served as chief financial officer and head of corporate development at Tobira Therapeutics. Prior to Tobira, Peetz held business leadership roles at Jennerex Biotherapeutics, Onyx Pharmaceuticals and Abgenix.
FORMA Therapeutics [WATERTOWN, MA] announced the appointment of Frank D. Lee as Chief Executive Officer. Lee succeeds Steve Tregay who after more than a decade as Founder and CEO, will transition to the role of Senior Advisor to the CEO. Most recently, Lee served as Senior Vice President, Global Product Strategy and Therapeutic Area Head for the Immunology, Ophthalmology and Infectious Diseases at Genentech, a member of the Roche Group.
The American Osteopathic Association [CHICAGO, IL] announce that it has appointed Kevin Klauer as chief executive officer, effective May 31, 2019. Klauer joins the AOA from TeamHealth where he most recently served as chief medical officer for hospital-based services, chief risk officer and executive director for the patient safety organization. Klauer is a clinical assistant professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine. Prior to his arrival at TeamHealth in January 2015, Klauer spent 15 years with Emergency Medicine Physicians, Ltd.
Diassess Inc. [EMERYVILLE, CA] announced that Erik T. Engelson has joined as President & Chief Executive Officer effective February 8, 2019. Engelson previously served as Chief Executive Officer at Medina Medical, which is now part of Medtronic. Engelson also currently serves as a Venture Partner at ShangBay Capital. Engelson previously served as a partner of the medical device incubator, The Foundry, following his role as President and CEO of two Foundry start-ups. Prior to this, Engelson served as Chief Financial Officer of Fluidigm Corporation, as a Venture Partner at Versant Ventures and as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Institutional Venture Partners. Previously, Engelson spent 13 years in various operating roles at Target Therapeutics.
The American Society of Appraisers [RESTON, VA] announced the appointment of Johnnie White as Chief Executive Officer, starting April 15, 2019. Most recently White served as Senior Director of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. In addition, White is an adjunct faculty member of Georgetown University.
Advancing Eyecare [NORFOLK, VA] announced the appointment of Brad Staley to the role of Chief Executive Officer. Staley joins Advancing Eyecare most recently as CEO of United Scope. Prior to United Scope, Staley led vision care companies for more than a decade in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Brad served as President of Signet Armorlite, a business unit of Essilor, and Chief Operating Officer of Performance Optics.
RDD Pharma, Inc. [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of John Temperato as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining RDD, Temperato held various leadership roles including most notably U.S. President & Chief Operating Officer with Atlantic Healthcare, President & Chief Operating Officer/Chief Commercial Officer with Melinta Therapeutics, and Senior Vice President of Sales and Managed Markets with Salix Pharmaceuticals.
