Histogen, Inc. [SAN DIEGO, CA] announced that the Company has appointed Richard Pascoe as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Pascoe served as CEO of Apricus Biosciences, Inc. Prior to Apricus, Pascoe was President and CEO of Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Previously, Pascoe served as CCO and later COO of ARIAD. Additional positions held by Pascoe include a series of senior management roles at King Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (acquired by Pfizer Inc.), and commercial positions at Medco Research, Inc. (acquired by King), COR Therapeutics, Inc. (acquired by Millennium Pharmaceuticals Inc., the Takeda Oncology Company), B. Braun Interventional and The BOC Group.
The Heart Failure Society of America [ROCKVILLE, MD] announced that John D. Barnes has been chosen by the Board of Directors as the society’s new Chief Executive Officer. Barnes joined HFSA in 2018 when he was appointed as the Interim Chief Executive Officer. Before joining the HFSA, Barnes was President of Barnes Association Consultants. Previously, Barnes was the Chief Executive Officer for the American Physical Therapy Association. Prior to the APTA, Barnes served as the Deputy Executive Director of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Redwood Living, Inc. [CLEVELAND, OH] has a newly appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Redwood’s founder, Steve Kimmelman, will now serve as Chairman of Redwood’s Board. David Conwill has advanced into the CEO position after serving as Redwood President.
Ideal Option [NEW YORK] announced the hiring of Tim Kilgallon as Chief Executive Officer. Kilgallon’s successful track record includes serving as CEO of Free & Clear (now Alere Wellbeing, an Optum Subsidiary).
OLAH Healthcare Technology [COLUMBUS, OH] announced the appointment of Gregory Miller as OLAH’s new chief executive officer effective January 1, 2019. Miller also serves as president of the company. Miller joined OLAH as its president and COO in September 2017. Prior to joining OLAH, Miller founded and/or held executive leadership positions in numerous private and public software and technology companies in the ERP, CRM, construction, and healthcare industries.
Magnate Worldwide [CHICAGO, IL] announced the appointment of Dante Fornari as its new Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Magnate Worldwide, Fornari most recently served as Executive Vice President of Global Logistics at OIA Global. During his career, he has excelled in executive leadership roles at industry leaders such as Agility Logistics, OHL, and BAX Global.
ClearSign Combustion Corporation [SEATTLE, WA] (Nasdaq: CLIR) announced that it has hired Colin “Jim” Deller as its new President. Deller will transition to the role of Chief Executive Officer on April 1, 2019. Deller has twenty-eight years of burner experience and most recently led the Honeywell UOP Callidus burner business worldwide. Rob Hoffman will continue as Interim CEO assisting Deller with the transition and will remain until April 1, 2019, when Deller will become the CEO.
Proximo Spirits, Inc. [JERSEY CITY, NJ] announced that Michael Keyes has been appointed as President & Chief Executive Officer. Keyes will succeed Michael Cheek, who has overseen Proximo’s operations on an interim basis since July 2018 and who will continue as a member of the Becle board of directors. Keyes is a veteran executive with over 30 years of experience in the distilled spirits industry, including over 10 years as President, North America Region, for Brown-Forman Corporation. Keyes joined Brown-Forman in 1991.
Manning & Napier, Inc. [FAIRPORT, NY] (NYSE: MN) announced that it has appointed Marc Mayer as Chief Executive Officer. Mayer was most recently Head of North American Distribution for Schroders in New York. Prior to Schroders, Mayer was Chief Executive Officer at GMO. This followed a 20-year tenure at AllianceBernstein and its predecessor firm, Sanford Bernstein, where Mayer rose to the role of Chief Investment Officer of Blend Strategies.
Taconic Biosciences [RENSSELAER, NY] has selected Nancy J. Sandy to succeed Robert J. Rosenthal as Chief Executive Officer. Rosenthal, who held the position for four and a half years, continues his association with Taconic, leading external growth initiatives as Chief Innovation Officer and holds positions on the Taconic Scientific Advisory Board and Board of Directors. Sandy joined Taconic in January 2016, progressing through roles as Senior Vice President of Product Strategy and Marketing, Chief Operating Officer, and President before being named CEO. Prior to joining Taconic, Sandy held marketing leadership roles at several life science and medical device companies, including Perkin Elmer, Magellan Biosciences, and Cardiac Science.
Sivantos, Inc. [PISCATAWAY, NJ] announced that Eric Timm has been appointed to the role of chief executive officer. Timm, who has served as chief operating officer of the company for the past two years, takes over the role from Steve Mahon, who has stepped down.
Family RV Group [CINCINNATI, OH] has announced the hiring of Walt Rodgers as its new Chief Executive Officer. Rodgers will succeed Wade Stepp, who has been with the organization for 17 years. Stepp will continue with Family RV as a Board member and special advisor. Rodgers joins Family RV after spending the last eight years as Chief Human Resources Officer with RelaDyne LLC. Prior to joining RelaDyne, Rodgers spent 27 years with Ferguson Enterprises, Inc.
Sonasoft Corp. [SAN JOSE, CA] (OTCQB: SSFT) announced that Frank Velasquez has been appointed CEO and has also been awarded a seat on the Board of Directors. The Company’s former CEO and Founder, Andy Khanna, will transition from his previous role and assist the Company with his nearly fifty years of leadership as an adviser. Velasquez, the Founder and CEO of the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Cornerstone Technologies, will now take the reigns as CEO of Sonasoft Corp. Velasquez brings with him over 20 years of executive experience in business and technology, as well as, sales leadership gained at companies such as AVCOM Technologies, Veritas, and Symantec Corporation. In addition to the responsibility of Large Enterprise Sales at Veritas and Symantec, Velasquez was responsible for the US Western Region Sales for Enterprise Information Archiving (EIA), eDiscovery, and Secure Messaging Solutions.
TELoIP, Inc. [MISSISSAUGA, ON] announced Bernard Breton as its new Chief Executive Officer. Roger Davis, TELoIP’s previous CEO, will continue to advise the company as a member of its Board of Directors.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe [ATLANTA, GA] announces the appointment of Charles Watson as its new Chief Executive Officer. Watson has more than 10 years of experience with Tropical Smoothie Cafe and led the company’s franchise development efforts since 2010. Watson has been the Chief Development Officer since 2015.
Guess?, Inc. [LOS ANGELES] (NYSE: GES) announced that Victor Herrero, Chief Executive Officer and a Director, is leaving the company. Carlos Alberini, formerly the President and Chief Operating Officer of the company from 2000 to 2010, has been appointed as the new CEO and a Director of the company. Alberini, after leaving the company, was Co-CEO of Restoration Hardware until 2014, and a Director on the Board of Restoration Hardware from 2010 until the present. From 2014 until the present, Alberini has been the Chairman and CEO of Lucky Brand.
Lucky Brand [LOS ANGELES] announced that Carlos Alberini has resigned as Chairman & CEO. Alberini is working with the Company as needed to ensure a successful transition. Lucky Brand has established an Office of the CEO, comprised of three Lucky Brand senior executives who have significant operational and merchandising experience with the Company: Nigel Kershaw, Chief Financial Officer; Mike Relich, Chief Operating Officer; and Lexi Tawes, Acting Chief Product Officer.
Stephens Insurance, LLC [LITTLE ROCK, AR] an affiliate of Stephens Inc., announced that effective June 3, 2019, Miles Stephens will become President and CEO of Stephens Insurance, succeeding Martin Rhodes who will become Chairman, following a successful 14-year tenure.Since joining the firm in 2014, Stephens has been a member of the Investment Banking division, most recently as a senior vice president advising mid to large sized companies. Earlier in his career, he worked for Hotchkis and Wiley Capital Management and Lehman Brothers.
SandRidge Energy [OKLAHOMA CITY, OK] (NYSE: SD) announced that the Board of Directors has appointed Paul D. McKinney as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 29, 2019. McKinney succeeds the Company’s current President and Chief Executive Officer, William M. Griffin, who will continue to serve on the SandRidge Board. McKinney has most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Yuma Energy, Inc. Prior to joining Yuma in 2014, McKinney held a variety of leadership positions with Apache Corporation over a six year period, including Vice President of their Gulf Coast Onshore Region. Additionally, McKinney was employed by Tristone Capital in 2007 as Vice President and Director of Acquisitions and Divestitures.
Puppet [ PORTLAND, OR] announced Yvonne Wassenaar as its CEO. Most recently, Wassenaar served as the CEO of Airware. Prior to joining Airware, Wassenaar served as the CIO of New Relic. Wassenaar also spent four years at VMware. Wassenaar started her career at Accenture where she spent 17 years, rising in the organization from a computer programmer to Partner in the high-tech business unit.
White Water Management Ltd. [CALGARY, AB] announced the appointment of Rod Stearn as Whitewater’s President and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2019. Stearn steps into the position previously held by Gaetan Gobeil, who is departing Whitewater to pursue a new opportunity. Stearn most recently served as BHGE’s Canadian Country Director. Prior to his promotion to Country Director, Stearn served as BHGE’s Canadian Vice President.
Campion Advocacy Fund and the Campion Foundation [SEATTLE, WA] announced the selection of Neil Kornze as the new Chief Executive Officer of both organizations. From 2014 to 2017, Kornze served in the Obama Administration as the Senate-confirmed Director of the Bureau of Land Management.
Snow Software [AUSTIN, TX] announced the appointment of Vishal Rao as Chief Executive Officer. Rao succeeds founder Snow Software, who is stepping down as CEO. Kling will remain on the Board of Directors. Rao previously served as the President & Chief Operating Officer at Snow. Rao joined Snow’s Board of Directors in 2016, and in 2018 took on an operating role overseeing all functions of the business. Prior to Snow, Rao held leadership positions at Splunk and Cloudera. Rao will remain on Snow’s Board of Directors.
PresenceLearning [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] has named Kate Eberle Walker as CEO. Walker was most recently CEO of The Princeton Review. Prior to that, Walker managed M&A and venture investments for Kaplan, Inc.
The National Center for Civil and Human Rights [ATLANTA, GA] announced it has appointed Jill Savitt as Chief Executive Officer effective March 11, 2019. Savitt, a genocide prevention expert, will resign as Acting Director for the Simon-Skjodt Center for the Prevention of Genocide at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Interim CEO, Brian Tolleson, will step down but continue serving on The Center’s board.
Trinseo [BERWYN, PA] (NYSE: TSE) announced that Frank A. Bozich has been named President and CEO, effective March 4, 2019. Bozich replaces Christopher D. Pappas, who recently announced his plans to retire following his tenure as President and CEO of Trinseo since 2010. Pappas will transition to the role of Special Adviser to the CEO effective March 4. Bozich was most recently President and CEO of SI Group, from 2013-2019. Prior to joining SI Group, Bozich held several executive management positions at BASF, where he served as President of BASF’s Catalysts Division; Group Vice President of Precious and Base Metal Services; and Group Vice President of the Integration Management Office. Prior to BASF, Bozich was Group Vice President, Enterprise Technologies and Ventures at Engelhard Corporation, which was acquired by BASF in 2006. Bozich serves as a director of OGE Energy Corp.
InsideOut Development [SALT LAKE CITY, UT] has appointed Bill Bennett as its new CEO. Bennett has worked at InsideOut Development since 2015 leading the marketing, professional services, sales and customer success teams as president of customer experience.
NorthStar Midstream [THE WOODLANDS, TX] announced that Mac Hummel has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Hummel succeeds Tim Casey as CEO. Casey will transition to focus exclusively on growing NorthStar’s liquefied natural gas (“LNG”) investments. Hummel most recently served as Executive Vice President and President, Liquids Business Unit at EnLink Midstream, LLC. Hummel joined EnLink in 2014 after spending over 28 years at The Williams Companies.
Intel Corporation [SANTA CLARA, CA] (NASDAQ: INTC) announced that it has named Robert (Bob) Swan as chief executive officer. Swan most recently served as interim CEO. Swan has been Intel’s CFO since October 2016. Prior to joining Intel, Swan served as an operating partner at General Atlantic LLC and served on Applied Materials’ board of directors. Swan previously spent nine years as CFO of eBay Inc., where he is currently a director. Earlier in his career, Swan was CFO of Electronic Data Systems Corp. and TRW Inc. Swan also served as CFO, COO and CEO of Webvan Group Inc.
MedMal Direct Insurance Company [JACKSONVILLE, FL] announced the appointment of Melodee Dixon as President and Chief Executive Officer. Butler Ball, MedMal Direct’s founding President and CEO, will continue to serve as the CEO of Physicians Trust, Inc., MedMal Direct’s parent company. Ball will also continue to sit on the board of directors of MedMal Direct. Dixon has served as MedMal Direct’s Chief Operating Officer since December 2016. Prior to joining MedMal Direct, Dixon held executive roles for various insurance carriers and managing general agencies.
Triumph Enterprises, Inc. [VIENNA, VA] has appointed Shane Thrailkill as CEO and a member of the Triumph’s board of directors. Current CEO and board member Scott Ulvi takes on the role as board chairman.
Purus Labs [PLANO, TX] announced that Shawn Moe will join the Purus Labs Team as a partner and will be the new President and CEO. Founder and partner, Brandon Smith, is still with the team but will be focused on product development and innovation. Moe served as Director of Sales for both Lone Star Distribution and Europa Sports Products. Most recently Moe was the Director of Sales for Dymatize Nutrition before assuming the role of President and CEO for Purus.
