The ATC Drivetrain [OKLAHOMA CITY, OK] announced that Greg Heald has joined the company as President and Chief Executive Officer and will also serve as a member of the Board. Heald has extensive global automotive industry experience and was most recently based in Shanghai, China with Joyson Safety Systems (f.k.a. Key Safety Systems). Key Safety Systems was previously a portfolio company of Crestview Partners, ATC Drivetrain’s majority owner. During his 20 years with Key Safety Systems, Heald served in a variety of global leadership positions with responsibilities in North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to Key Safety Systems, Heald started his career at Ford Motor Company working in finance and purchasing.
Caribou Coffee [MINNEAPOLIS, MN] announced John Butcher has been appointed President & CEO. Butcher has served as President of Caribou Coffee since joining the company in June of 2017. Before coming to Caribou Coffee in 2017, Butcher spent 20 years at Minneapolis-based Target and held a variety of Merchandising and Marketing leadership roles including Senior Vice President of Merchandising, Beauty and Dermstore, Senior Vice President of Merchandising Category Roles and Senior Vice President of Merchandising at Target Canada Co. Butcher replaces Sarah Spiegel as President & CEO of Caribou Coffee.
Lightsource BP [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced the appointment of Kevin Smith as CEO for the Americas. Most recently, Smith was CEO and one of the founding executives at California-based SolarReserve. Prior to joining SolarReserve, Smith was Senior Vice President at Invenergy LLC. Smith has also previously served as President of Insight Energy, Chief Operating Officer of London-based Rolls-Royce Power Ventures, and Vice President – General Manager of Indeck Energy Services.
Crown Crafts, Inc. [GONZALES, LA] (NASDAQ-CM: CRWS) announced that Nanci Freeman, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company’s subsidiary, NoJo Baby & Kids, Inc. (“NoJo”), will be retiring on August 30, 2019. Freeman has been promoted to serve until her retirement date as Executive Chairperson of NoJo and Donna Sheridan has been named NoJo’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Freeman has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of NoJo since 1997. Sheridan most recently served for more than eight years as Senior Vice President of Lambs & Ivy, Inc. Prior to that, Sheridan served for almost fifteen years in senior leadership roles in merchandising, brand management and sales with The Walt Disney Company.
GTreasury [CHICAGO, IL] announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer, Renaat Ver Eecke. Orazio Pater, founder and former CEO, retired to assume his new post as Executive Chairman of the Board. Most recently Ver Eecke was President of Teletrac Navman. Prior to his role as President, he served as Chief Service Officer.
URAC [WASHINGTON, DC] announced that the company has appointed Shawn Griffin as URAC’s new President and CEO, effective February 6, 2019. Most recently, Griffin served as vice president for clinical performance improvement and applied analytics at Premier, Inc., where he served as a consultant for physician, hospital, and population health quality improvement and analytics. Griffin replaces retiring president and CEO Kylanne Green, who departs URAC on February 1.
Emerald Textiles [LOS ANGELES] a portfolio company of Pacific Avenue Capital Partners, LLC and Highland Avenue Funds, LLC announced that Richard (“Rich”) Bott has joined the executive management team and was appointed CEO. Greg Anderson will transition to Executive Chairman. Prior to Emerald, Bott served as the Director of Intermountain Healthcare’s Supply Chain Services, which includes Central Laundry, Design and Print Services, Corporate Travel, Supply Chain Guidance Council, Fleet Management and Sign Center. Before Intermountain Healthcare, Bott served as a medic and LPN in the 328th General Hospital unit of the 96th ARCOM where he began his nursing education at the Academy of Health Sciences.
Clean Creative [BALTIMORE, MD] announced that Matt Gillis has joined the company as its first Chief Executive Officer. Gillis most recently served as Senior Vice President of Publisher Platforms at Oath. Previously, Gillis was President, Platform Business at Millennial Media, which was acquired by Verizon/AOL in 2015.
Petplan [PHILADELPHIA, PA] announced that Paul Guyardo will join the company as President & Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Guyardo served as the Chief Commercial Officer for Discovery Communications. Prior to Discovery, Guyardo was Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer at DIRECTV. Prior to joining DIRECTV, Guyardo was Chief Marketing Officer for Kmart Corporation and Executive Vice President of Television & Marketing at HSN.
Network Designs, Inc. [MCLEAN, VA] announced that Anthony E. Zeruto is its new President and CEO. Zeruto will succeed Martin P. Schweitzer who has held the positions of President and CEO since 2015. Schweitzer will remain on the NDi Team and operate in a Senior Executive Advisory capacity. Zeruto comes to NDi from Unisys, where he served the last two years as their Executive Director of Industry for the Unisys Stealth® suite of cybersecurity software.
Astec Industries, Inc. [CHATTANOOGA, TN] (Nasdaq: ASTE) announced that Benjamin G. Brock has resigned as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Board of Directors. The Board has appointed Richard J. Dorris who has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since 2014, to serve as interim Chief Executive Officer until a permanent successor is named. Dorris previously served as the Group Vice President and President of the Company’s Energy Group from August 2012 to December 2013 and as President of Heatec, Inc. from 2004 to January 2014. From 1999 to 2004, he held the positions of National Accounts Manager, Project Manager and Director of Projects for Astec, Inc. Prior to joining Astec, Inc., Dorris was President of Esstee Manufacturing Company from 1990 to 1999 and was Sales Engineer from 1984 to 1990.
TH2 [CINCINNATI, OH] a joint venture between Thor Industries (NYSE: THO) and Tourism Holdings Limited, announced that it has named Daniel Hest as its new CEO, succeeding Bob Wheeler who will return to focus on his role as President of Airstream, Inc. Hest will assume his role effective February 4, 2019. Prior to joining TH2, Hest was the Senior Vice President and General Manager, Expedia Global Partner Solutions, at Expedia Group. Previously, Hest was Vice President, Americas Business Development and Global Product Marketing at Orbitz Worldwide, a subsidiary of Expedia Group.
Tecomet [WILMINGTON, MA] announced the appointment of Victor Swint as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 22, 2019. Swint succeeds Bill Dow, Chairman of the Board and former CEO of Tecomet, who has served in the chief executive role on an interim basis since September 2018. Swint joins Tecomet from Interface Performance Materials, where he was CEO. Swint was previously a Group President at Illinois Tool Works, a Vice President and General Manager at Rockwell Automation and, prior to that, held managerial roles at Cooper Industries and Danaher Corp.
Applied Insight [WASHINGTON, DC] announced that John Hynes has been appointed CEO. Hynes takes over the CEO role from Gavin Long. Hynes will also join the AI board, which will be chaired by Long. Prior to joining Applied Insight, Hynes served as chief operating officer of Engility, following his role as president and CEO of TASC.
Heritage Commerce Corp [SAN JOSE, CA] (Nasdaq: HTBK), the holding company for Heritage Bank of Commerce, announced that Walter Kaczmarek, President and Chief Executive Officer, will retire effective August 8, 2019. The Board of Directors has named Keith A. Wilton, the current President of the Bank and Chief Operating Officer of the Company, to succeed him as President and Chief Executive Officer of both the Company and the Bank. Kaczmarek has held the title of President and CEO of the Company since 2005 and will remain on the Board of Directors after his retirement. Wilton, who will join the Board of Directors effective February 1, 2019, joined the Company in 2014 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In 2017, as part of the planned succession strategy, he became President of the Bank and Chief Operating Officer of the Company.
The Austin Technology Council [AUSTIN, TX] announces that Amber Gunst has been appointed CEO after serving as the interim CEO since May of 2018. Gunst first joined ATC as head of sales and membership services with 20 years of experience in business development and member association sales, including four years at the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce.
Functional Neuromodulation Ltd. [MINNEAPOLIS, MN] announced that Todd Langevin will succeed Vincent Owens as Chief Executive Officer with effect from January 25, 2019. Owens will remain deeply involved in the Company as Executive Chairman. Langevin most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of FNM since its formation in 2011. Prior to joining FNM, Langevin held senior leadership roles at medical device companies including CVRx and Medtronic. Langevin’s prior roles during 20-year career at Medtronic included Vice President & General Manager of Medtronic’s DBS Movement Disorders Business and an earlier role as European Business Director, Neuromodulation.
Zinwave [DALLAS, TX] announced Brad Kitterman as CEO. Kitterman joins Zinwave from divisions of its parent company, McWane Inc. Kitterman previously served as CEO of Nighthawk, a McWane Technology Group company, CEO of Aclara, Asahi Glass Company, Logica-CMG (North America Energy & Utilities Division) and Schlumberger (North America Utilities Division). Kitterman’s predecessor, Scott Willis, will assume a new role as strategic advisor to the McWane Technology Group.
Atento S.A. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: ATTO) announces the appointment of Carlos López-Abadía as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. López-Abadía replaces Alejandro Reynal, who steps down as Chief Executive Officer after completing a successful seven year leadership tenure at Atento. Prior to his appointment as Atento’s Chief Executive Officer, López-Abadía served as DXC Technology’s Vice President and General Manager Consulting. Previously he served as Vice President Global Services for Misys. Prior experience also includes, Managing Partner at Accenture and leadership positions at Level 3, McKinsey&Co and AT&T.
Contegix [RESTON, VA] announced that ithas appointed Brad Hokamp as Chief Executive Officer. Hokamp takes over from David Turner who partnered with Strattam Capital to complete an investment in Contegix in 2016. Hokamp was most recently CEO at Anexinet. Prior to Anexinet, Hokamp served as Chief Executive Officer of Cosentry where he scaled the company for subsequent sale to TierPoint. Earlier, Hokamp served as President for Layered Technologies and Chief Marketing Officer for Telx. Prior to Telx, he spent 10 years at SAVVIS in various executive roles, including GM for the Hosting Business Unit, and Senior Vice President of Product Management and Marketing.
Ericom Software [NEW YORK] announced that David Canellos has been appointed as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Canellos most recently held the position of Senior Vice President, Global Service Providers at Symantec. Previously Canellos served as President and CEO of Perspecsys Inc. through its acquisition by Blue Coat Systems, which was subsequently acquired by Symantec. Canellos previously led the acquisition of Cloakware, where he was President and COO, by the Irdeto division of Naspers. Prior to Cloakware, Canellos held executive roles at Cramer Systems (now Amdocs), Oracle and SAIC.
Express, Inc. [COLUMBUS, OH] (NYSE: EXPR) announced the departure of Chief Executive Officer David Kornberg. Kornberg will no longer serve as Chief Executive Officer, President or as a member of the Board of Directors. Kornberg will remain employed by the company through February 21, 2019. The Board of Directors has appointed Matthew Moellering as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Interim President until a permanent Chief Executive Officer and President is appointed. Moellering has served as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since September 2011 and will continue to serve as such during his tenure as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Interim President. Moellering served in various roles with Limited Brands (now known as L Brands), Procter & Gamble, and as an officer in the United States Army. In addition, Moellering serves on the board of directors of L.L. Bean, Inc., which is a privately held company. The Board of Directors of the company has commenced a search for a new Chief Executive Officer and President.
Fishbowl® Inc. [ALEXANDRIA, VA] has named Mike Dodson as its new Chief Executive Officer. Dodson has served as an advisor to emerging technology companies such as Resy and Rewards Network, and as Chief Revenue Officer /SVP of Global Sales and Restaurant Relations at OpenTable. Prior to OpenTable, Dodson served as Vice President and General Manager of Merchant Services at American Express.
Invisible Ink Tattoo Removers [CINCINNATI, OH] announced that Mike Stitt has been appointed as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Stitt, who served as an advisor to the organization since January 2014, previously served as President, North America at Travelzoo Inc. Dick Satterfield, Founder and previous Chief Executive Officer, will remain a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Most recently, Stitt spent 14 years helping to build and grow Travelzoo where he rose from entry-level Associate Producer to President, North America.
Bunge Limited [WHITE PLAINS, NY] (NYSE: BG) announced that Board member Gregory A. Heckman has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer. Heckman replaces Soren Schroder, who previously announced his intention to step down. Heckman joined the Bunge Board in 2018. Heckman has over 30 years of experience in the agriculture, energy and food processing industries, having served as CEO of The Gavilon Group and in senior executive roles at ConAgra Foods. Heckman is founding partner of Flatwater Partners.
Editas Medicine, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] (NASDAQ: EDIT) announced that Katrine Bosley has decided to step down from her role as President and CEO, effective March 1, 2019. Bosley also resigned from the Company’s Board of Directors. The Board has appointed Cynthia Collins, a member of the Company’s Board, as interim Chief Executive Officer. Collins joined the Editas Medicine Board of Directors in December 2018. Most recently, Cindy served as CEO of Human Longevity Inc. Prior, Boslev served as the CEO/GM of General Electric’s Healthcare Cell Therapy Business, Lab Businesses and Clarient Diagnostics. Collins also served as President and CEO of GenVec and before that, she served as Group Vice President, Cellular Analysis Business of Beckman Coulter. Prior to Beckman Coulter, Collins served as President and CEO of Sequoia Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Versiant [CHARLOTTE, NC] announced Jeff Spalding has been appointed the President and Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Spalding was with Peak 10 and his primary role as COO. Previously, Spalding was head of Sales at Osprey Systems, and held various leadership roles with IBM.
EarthX [DALLAS, TX] announced the appointment of Tony Keane as chief executive officer. Keane served for more than eight years as the president and chief executive officer of the International Facility Management Association.
CiBO Technologies [CAMBRIDGE, MA] has appointed Daniel P. Ryan to the role of chief executive officer. Prior to joining CiBO, Ryan held leadership positions in several industry-leading companies, including CEO of RedBrick Health; CEO of Secure Computing; and President and COO of Stellent.
Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant [NEW ORLEANS, LA] announced that Kevin Armantrout will be the brand’s new Chief Executive Officer. Armantrout began his executive management career with Acme Oyster House in 1995. From there, Armantrout joined Ruth’s Chris Steak House, where he served in multiple executive leadership roles. Armantrout’s most recent role was Chief Operating Officer of Another Broken Egg of America, Inc.
X-energy [ROCKVILLE, MD] Kam Ghaffarian Founder and CEO announced that he has appointed J. Clay Sell as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 21, 2019. Ghaffarian assumes the role of Executive Chairman. Sell served as Deputy Secretary at Energy from 2005-2008, as a Special Assistant to President George W. Bush in the White House from 2003-2004, and prior to this held senior staff positions at the Senate Appropriations Committee and the House of Representatives. From 2008 to 2018, Sell was the President of Hunt Energy Horizons, LLC.
Charah® Solutions, Inc. [LOUISVILLE, KY] (NYSE: CHRA) announced that Scott Sewell has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, and to Charah’s Board of Directors. Sewell’s appointment follows the decision for Charles Price to step down as President and CEO, and as a director of the Company. Sewell joined Charah in 2008 as an Operations Manager and held the positions of Vice President of Operations and Senior Vice President of Operations until 2013 when he was appointed Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Charah, Sewell worked for Bechtel Corporation from 2002 until 2007.
