Information Builders [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Frank J. Vella as chief executive officer. Vella succeeds the company’s founder and CEO Gerald D. Cohen. Cohen will remain as chairman of the board and senior advisor to Vella. Vella joined Information Builders in November 2017 as chief operating officer.
SolarReserve [SANTA MONICA, CA] announced the appointment of Tom Georgis as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. For the past 10 years, Georgis has been an integral part of SolarReserve’s leadership team, serving as the company’s Senior Vice President.
CorVel Corporation [IRVINE, CA] (NASDAQ: CRVL) announced that it has promoted the Company’s President, Michael Combs, to also serve as its Chief Executive Officer, effective January 18, 2019. Combs was previously promoted to President in April 2017 and served as Chief Information Officer from April 2015 to April 2017. Combs has been with the Company for more than 27 years, joining the Company as a software engineer in October 1991. Comb’s prior positions at the Company include Vice President of Bill Review Development and Deputy Chief Information Officer. Combs succeeds Mr. Clemons, the company’s founder, Chairman and CEO. Clemons will continue to serve as Chairman focusing his attention on strategy and product development.
Aratana Therapeutics, Inc. [LEAWOOD, KS] (Nasdaq: PETX) announced the Company has appointed Craig Tooman to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer of Aratana, and elected Tooman to the Board of Directors. Tooman was the first independent member of Aratana’s Board of Directors from April 2012 to November 2013. Tooman served as Chair of the Audit Committee before transitioning to Chief Financial Officer for Aratana in November 2013. Tooman has a successful track record in executive leadership roles for several pharmaceutical companies, including as Chief Executive Officer of Avanzar Medical, Inc. and Chief Financial Officer for Enzon Pharmaceuticals and Ikaria Inc. Tooman has also held key executive roles at ILEX Oncology, Inc. and Pharmacia Corporation. Steven St. Peter has resigned from the role of President and Chief Executive Officer and from the Board of Directors of Aratana. St. Peter is a founder of Aratana and served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Aratana since 2012.
The Wayne County Airport Authority [DETROIT, MI] confirmed the appointment of Chad Newton as Chief Executive Officer of the Wayne County Airport Authority. Newton is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and certified by the American Association of Airport Executives as an Accredited Airport Executive. In July 2018, Newton was appointed WCAA’s Interim CEO.
Terracon Consultants, Inc. [OLATHE, KS] announced M. Gayle Packer is now chief executive officer and president. Packer succeeds David Gaboury who served in both capacities for more than 16 years and most recently as CEO. Gaboury continues as Terracon’s chairman through 2021. Since joining Terracon in 2004, Packer has served as contracts manager, general counsel, director of corporate services, and prior to being named president, executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
Scalyr [SAN MATEO, CA] announced the hiring of Christine Heckart as its new CEO. Steve Newman, founding CEO of Scalyr, will assume the role of chairman and founder. Heckart most recently served as Senior Vice President at Cisco and as Executive Vice President at Brocade. In addition, Heckart has held multiple executive and C-level positions at global technology brands, including NetApp, Microsoft, and Juniper Networks. Heckart serves on the board of directors at Lam Research Corporation and 6sense.
Ericom Software [NEW YORK] announced that David Canellos has been appointed as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Canellos most recently held the position of Senior Vice President, Global Service Providers at Symantec. Canellos previously led the acquisition of Cloakware, where he was President and COO, by the Irdeto division of Naspers. Prior to Cloakware, Canellos held executive roles at Cramer Systems, Oracle and SAIC.
MC² [CHESTNUT RIDGE, NY] announced that Gary Benson has been named Chairman of MC² and Richard McAdam has been appointed as his successor to Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2019. Benson served as Chief Executive Officer since 2003. McAdam joined MC² in 2004 as Corporate Vice President, Production, and, in 2006, he was named President of the organization. Prior to that, he was Corporate Vice President of Production at Exhibit Dynamics and spent over 12 years at a global exhibit company where he rose to the position of Senior Vice President of Eastern Operations.
eGenesis [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced the appointment of Paul Sekhri as president and chief executive officer. Sekhri succeeds Julie Sunderland, who had served as interim chief executive officer of eGenesis since December 2017. Sunderland will join the eGenesis board of directors. Sekhri most recently comes from Lycera Corp., where he served as president and chief executive officer. Prior to Lycera, he served as group executive vice president, global business development, and chief strategy officer for Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries, Ltd., and earlier, operating partner and head of the Biotechnology Operating Group at TPG Biotech. Previously, Sekhri founded Cerimon Pharmaceuticals where he served as president and chief executive officer. Prior to founding Cerimon, Sekhri was president and chief business officer of ARIAD Pharmaceuticals. Earlier in his career, Sekhri held various senior positions at Novartis AG, including senior vice president, head of global search and evaluation, business development and licensing, and global head, early commercial development.
Ubiquitous Energy [REDWOOD CITY, CA] has named Keith Wilson as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently Wilson served as Managing Partner and CEO of Cranberry Capital along with management roles at Sweetwater Energy, Clerio Vision, and Health Care Originals.
Cytel Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced the appointment of Joshua Schultz as Chief Executive Officer effective January 7th, 2019. Schultz succeeds Joseph Avellone, who acted as Cytel’s interim CEO from March 2018 and will continue to serve on the company’s Board of Directors. Schultz joins Cytel from PAREXEL, where he most recently served as an Officer of the company and Senior Vice President for its Access business unit.
Cross Country Healthcare, Inc. [BOCA RATON, FL] (Nasdaq:CCRN) has announced that Kevin Clark has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. Clark will also serve as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Clark succeeds William J. Grubbs, who previously announced his intention to retire. Clark co-founded Cross Country in 1986 and served as its Chairman and CEO until 1994. In 2002, he re-entered the healthcare staffing industry to co-found Onward Healthcare. During this period he also led Medefis, and Locum Leaders, a, until all three were acquired in 2015.
Invitation Homes Inc. [DALLAS, TX] (NYSE: INVH) announced that it has named co-founder Dallas Tanner as president and chief executive officer and a member of the company’s board of directors. Tanner previously served as executive vice president and chief investment officer and had been serving as interim president since August 2018 while Fred Tuomi, former president and CEO, was on a personal leave of absence.
Onconova Therapeutics, Inc. [NEWTOWN, PA] (NASDAQ: ONTX) announced the appointment of Steven Fruchtman as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Fruchtman has served as President of Onconova since June 2018, and originally joined the Company in January 2015 as Chief Medical Officer. Previously, Fruchtman held senior leadership positions in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and academia. Fruchtman replaces Ramesh Kumar, who will transition to an advisory role for the Company.
Westwood Financial [LOS ANGELES] announced that Mark Bratt has been named the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. Bratt has served on Westwood’s board of directors since 2016. Bratt joins Westwood from CBRE’s Capital Markets and Investment Sales team where he served as Senior Managing Director for 4 years. Prior to his time at CBRE, Bratt served as Chief Investment Officer at DDR Corp. Prior to DDR, Bratt was an Executive Director with Morgan Stanley Real Estate, and he also had management roles at Lend Lease and Prentiss Properties.
24 Hour Fitness [SAN RAMON, CA] announced that Tony Ueber, former President and CEO of Results Physiotherapy, will become Chief Executive Officer. Current CEO Chris Roussos will step down and remain as a special advisor to the Company for the next two months to ensure a smooth and effective transition.
Cerebrotech Medical Systems [PLEASANTON, CA] announced that Carl O’Connell has been named chief executive officer. O’Connell most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Xtant Medical Technologies, and held executive positions with Wright Medical, Stryker and Carl Zeiss Surgical.
Owl Labs [BOSTON, MA] announced its appointment of former CarGurus executive Frank Weishaupt as Chief Executive Officer. Weishaupt previously served as SVP of Sales at CarGurus and played an instrumental role in the company’s growth, leading to a successful IPO in October 2017. Prior to joining CarGurus, Weishaupt served as Chief Operating Officer at Jumptap. Weishaupt also served in executive roles at Yahoo! and Criteo.
Westport Fuel Systems Inc. [VANCOUVER, BC] (Nasdaq: WPRT) announced the appointment of David M. Johnson as Chief Executive Officer. Nancy S. Gougarty has decided to retire as Westport’s Chief Executive Officer and is stepping down from the Board of Directors. Gougarty will support Westport Fuel Systems’ leadership team through a transition period. Johnson will join Westport Fuel Systems having served for ten years as President and Chief Executive Officer of Achates Power. Prior to his most recent role, Johnson served in a variety of roles including senior roles at Navistar, Ford and General Motors. Johnson will also join the Westport Fuel Systems’ Board of Directors.
ArunA Bio [ATHENS, GA] announced the appointment of Mark Sirgo as Chief Executive Officer. With the appointment of Sirgo to the senior leadership team, Steven Stice, co-founder, current CEO and Chief Scientific Officer, will fully focus on directing the company’s research and scientific development efforts. Sirgo most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of BioDelivery Sciences. Prior to joining BioDelivery Services,Sirgo spent 16 years in a variety of clinical and commercial leadership positions at Glaxo, Glaxo Wellcome, and GlaxoSmithKline, including Vice President of International OTC Development and Vice President of New Product Marketing.
Seres Therapeutics, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] (Nasdaq: MCRB) announced the appointment of Eric D. Shaff as President and Chief Executive Officer. Shaff, who is currently Chief Operating and Financial Officer, succeeds Roger J. Pomerantz. Shaff has also joined Seres’ Board of Directors and will continue to serve as Seres’ principal financial officer on an interim basis. Pomerantz will continue as Chairman of Seres’ Board of Directors. Shaff has served as Seres’ Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President and Treasurer since November 2014, and in January 2018, he was appointed to the additional role of Chief Operating Officer. Shaff also serves on the Board of Directors for Sigilon Therapeutics and has extensive experience in the biotechnology field, having worked at Momenta Pharmaceuticals and Genzyme Corporation, where he was Vice President of Finance for the Personalized Genetic Health division.
Weidner Property Management [KIRKLAND, WA] the parent company of Weidner Apartment Homes announced that Jack O’Connor, has been named chief executive officer. O’Connor joined Weidner more than 13 years ago as vice president of operations. O’Connor became chief operating officer in 2010.
Hydrofarm Holdings Group, Inc. [PETALUMA, CA] announced the appointment of Bill Toler as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Hydrofarm’s long-time CEO and shareholder, Peter Wardenburg, will continue to serve as a board member and in a full time operational role with the Company. Toler brings more than 35 years of executive leadership experience in supply chain and consumer packaged goods, including serving as Chief Executive Officer of AdvancePierre Foods and President of Pinnacle Foods. Toler most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hostess Brands from April 2014 to March 2018. Toler has also held executive roles at Campbell Soup Company, Nabisco and Procter & Gamble.
Midwest Composite Technologies [HARTLAND, WI] announced that it has appointed Ryan Martin as the Company’s new CEO. Martin joins MCT with over 14 years of leadership experience spanning across sales, marketing, product development, and general management. Martin most recently served as General Manager for GE Additive Americas Sales.
GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. [NORWOOD, MA] announced that it has named Patrick F. Sheehan as Chief Executive Officer. Sheehan succeeds William E. Hadge who has served in the role since 2013. Sheehan is a Professional Engineer and has been with GZA for 28 years. Sheehan most recently served as one of GZA’s four Operations Officers, and as a member of GZA’s Executive Team. Prior to that, Sheehan was the company’s Metro Boston Office Manager and held several other leadership positions, including six years on the Board of Directors, member of all Board Committees, and chair of the Audit and Compensation Committees.
CommutAir [NORTH OLMSTED, OH] announced the appointment of Richard (Rick) Hoefling to the role of president and chief executive officer, effective February 1, 2019. Hoefling currently serves as vice president – Newark for United Airlines and oversees the carrier’s operations at both Newark Liberty and LaGuardia airports. Prior to this, Hoefling led United’s Station Operations Center at Newark.
Gaylord Specialty Healthcare [WALLINGFORD, CT] announced that Sonja LaBarbera has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and President. LaBarbera assumed the position following the retirement of prior CEO, George Kyriacou. LaBarbera arrived at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare 14 years ago in the position of Director of Inpatient Therapy and ascended the ranks to become Chief Operating Officer.
YMCA of Greater Seattle [SEATTLE, WA] announced the appointment of Loria Yeadon as the President and CEO. Yeadon will succeed current President and CEO Bob Gilbertson who previously announced plans to retire later this year. Yeadon previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of Stolen Youth, an organization dedicated to ending sex trafficking in the State of Washington. Yeadom currently serves on the National Board for Girl Scouts of America and on the Board of Legal Momentum, The Women’s Legal Defense and Education Fund. In her business career, Yeadon served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Transportation Business at Intellectual Ventures and before that served as CEO of Honeywell Intellectual Properties, Inc.
Altus Midstream Company [HOUSTON, TX] (Nasdaq: ALTM) and Apache Corporation (NYSE: APA) announced the appointment of Clay Bretches as CEO of Altus Midstream. Bretches will also serve as a member of the Altus board of directors and as Apache’s senior vice president, U.S. Midstream Operations. Brian Freed, CEO of Altus since its inception, will continue in his role as Apache’s senior vice president, Midstream and Marketing. Previously, Bretches served as the president and CEO of Sendero Midstream since 2014 and in various leadership roles at Anadarko for 14 years prior to that. At Anadarko, Bretches served as vice president, E&P Services and Minerals from 2010 to 2014. From 2005 to 2010, Bretches held the position of vice president, Marketing and Minerals.
United Site Services [WESTBOROUGH, MA] announced the appointment of Asterios Satrazemis as CEO. Satrazemis succeeds Ron Carapezzi, who has served as President and CEO since 2009. Carapezzi will transition into the role of Chairman. Most recently, Satrazemis and Jamroz held the CEO role at BlueLine Rental. Prior to serving as CEO of BlueLine, Satrazemis was President of the Americas for Aggreko.
EnergyNet [HOUSTON, TX] announced that it has appointed Chris Atherton as Chief Executive Officer of the company. Atherton will be succeeding William W. Britain. Britain founded the company and served as Chief Executive Officer since 1999. Britain will remain Chairman of the Board. Atherton most recently served as President of the company and has held varying roles of increasing responsibility since he joined the company in 2002.
Old National Bancorp [EVANSVILLE, IN] announced that Bob Jones will retire as chief executive officer after over 14 years of service with the company and almost 40 years in banking. Old National’s corporate board of directors has appointed Jim Ryan, currently Old National’s chief financial officer, to succeed Jones as CEO. Ryan will transition to the CEO role on May 2, when Jones officially steps down. Jones will continue to serve as Old National’s Chairman of the Board, through January 2020, after his retirement as CEO. Ryan joined Old National in 2000 as Assistant Treasurer and was later promoted to Treasurer. In 2016, Ryan was promoted to CFO.
SecureLink [AUSTIN, TX] announced that Joe Devine has been promoted to chief executive officer. Devine has served as the company’s president and chief operating officer and has worked at SecureLink in progressive leadership roles since 2008. Devine takes over from the company’s previous CEO and co-founder, Jeff Swearingen, who will serve as executive chairman and a member of the company’s board of directors.
Questionmark [TRUMBULL, CT] announced that Eric Shepherd has decided to step down from his day-to-day role as CEO after 18 years leading the company. The company’s Board of Directors has named Lars Pedersen, formerly CEO of Creditcall, as the new chief executive. Shepherd will remain with Questionmark until March 31, 2019 to assist Pedersen.
Teradata [SAN DIEGO] (NYSE: TDC) announced that it has appointed Oliver Ratzesberger President and Chief Executive Officer. Ratzesberger succeeds Victor L. Lund, who is transitioning from his role as President and CEO to Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. Ratzesberger has served as Teradata’s Chief Operating Officer since February 2018. Ratzesberger joined Teradata in 2013 and, from 2016 to 2018, served as the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer.
Zoox, Inc. [FOSTER CITY, CA] announced that Aicha Evans, former Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Intel Corporation, will join Zoox as its Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors starting February 26. Evans comes to Zoox after spending 12 years at Intel, where she most recently served as the Chief Strategy Officer. Prior to that, Evans was General Manager of the Communication and Devices Group.
Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association [ANNAPOLIS, MD] announced that Amy Efantis will be its next President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 16, 2019. Efantis most recently served as Vice President, Global Public Policy & Government Affairs at Biogen. Previous to her role with Biogen, Efantis held roles with Boehringer Ingelheim, PhRMA, and worked on Capitol Hill as a Congressional Legislative Director and, prior to this role, advised Congressman Thomas Barrett (D-WI) on various House Energy & Commerce Committee issues.
Diversified Maintenance [TAMPA, FL] announced that Derek Gordon was recently appointed as chief executive officer. Prior to joining Diversified Maintenance, Gordon worked with the international management consulting group, McKinsey & Company. From there, he provided executive leadership for a business unit of Denver-based DaVita Medical Group before transitioning into private equity.
WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems [EL SEGUNDO, CA] announced that Jim Gimeson has been appointed its chief executive officer. Prior to joining WASH, Gimeson served as chief operating officer for Sears Home Services. Prior to Sears, Gimeson was the chief operating officer at TruGreen.
US BioTek Laboratories [SEATTLE, WA] announced the appointment of a new President and CEO, Jack Frausing. Frausing assumes the leadership from co-founder and current president Raymond Suen and his co-founder and wife Margaret Suen, the current executive vice president. Most recently Frausing led global sales for Radiant Vision Systems.
