Sonoma Pharmaceuticals, Inc. [PETALUMA, CA] (Nasdaq: SNOA) has named Frederick (Bubba) Sandford as Sonoma’s Chief Executive Officer and Interim Chief Financial Officer. Sandford also joined the Board of Directors. Sonoma also announced that Jim Schutz has resigned as CEO. On the same date, Jim Schutz also resigned from the Board of Directors.
GlobalTranz Enterprises, Inc. [PHOENIX, AZ] announced that effective January 1, 2019 it has named Renee Krug as its new CEO and member of the company’s board of directors. Bob Farrell, GlobalTranz’s current CEO, was named executive chairman. Krug joined GlobalTranz as CFO in October of 2014. Prior to being named CFO of GlobalTranz, Krug was CFO of Clear Channel Outdoor and VP of finance at Swift Transportation.
Vitaquest International LLC [WEST CALDWELL, NJ] announced the appointment of Patrick Brueggman as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the company. Prior to joining Vitaquest International LLC, Brueggman spent the last 12 years in the Pharmaceutical, Food and Personal Care Industry where his most recent role was as Senior Vice President & General Manager of Vantage Specialty Ingredients.
Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. [PRINCETON, NJ] announced the appointment of Michael Kerner as Chief Executive Officer for Munich Re Specialty Insurance. For the past two years, Kerner served as Executive Vice President, Risk Management and Strategy at Everest Reinsurance. Prior to that, Kerner spent 23 years at Zurich Insurance Company in a variety of senior executive roles, including Chief Executive Officer of General Insurance, Chief Executive Officer of Global Corporate North America, Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Global Head of Group Reinsurance, and Chief Operations Officer of North America Specialties.
Superior Industries International, Inc. [SOUTHFIELD, MI] (NYSE:SUP) announced that Don Stebbins, President and Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors, will retire effective December 31, 2018. The Company’s Chairman, Timothy C. McQuay, will assume all duties of the President and Chief Executive Officer in an interim role. McQuay currently serves as Chairman of the Board. Prior to joining Superior’s Board of Directors McQuay spent his career with financial services companies, including as Managing Director at Noble Financial Capital Markets, B. Riley and Co. and A.G. Edwards.
Mesosphere [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the appointment of Mike Fey as CEO. Fey will take over the role from company co-founder Florian Leibert. Leibert will transition into a new role at the company. Fey will join on February 1. Previously, Fey served as president and COO at Symantec. Prior to joining Symantec, he served as president and COO of Blue Coat.
OCC [CHICAGO] announced that John Davidson, currently President and Chief Operating Officer, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Craig Donohue, currently Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will remain at OCC as Executive Chairman. Davidson joined OCC in 2017 as President and Chief Operating Officer. Davidson came to OCC from Citigroup, where he served in several key leadership roles, including Global Compliance Officer.
Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village [CANTON, OH] announced that Mike Crawford, formerly a senior executive from Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts Company, and Walt Disney Company, has been named the new Chief Executive Officer.
Hilltop Securities Inc. [DALLAS] (NYSE: HTH) announced M. Bradley Winges as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective Feb. 20, 2019. Winges will succeed HilltopSecurities Chairman and CEO Hill A. Feinberg, who will remain with the firm as chairman.
BehaveCare, Inc. [PROVIDENCE, RI] announced that Glen Moller has been named its Chief Executive Officer. Moller will succeed Eric Heil, one of the company’s co-founders. Heil will now be a Special Advisor to the Board of Directors. Moller joins BehaveCare from ArroHealth where he served as CEO. Prior to leading Arro, Moller was CEO of Centene’s Medicare Advantage Program and Special Needs Plans. He also served as President of special needs plans for Fidelis Senior Care, and as Chief Operating Officer of Express Scripts Insurance Company.
Valencell [RALEIGH, NC] announced that Kent Novak has been named Chief Executive Officer. Novak was most recently Senior Vice President & General Manager, DLP Products, at Texas Instruments. Current Valencell CEO and Board Chair Michael Dering is retiring in December and will stay on in an advisory role through the transition.
Tvardi Therapeutics Inc. [HOUSTON] announced the appointment of Imran Alibhai as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Tvardi,. Alibhai was an SVP and Managing Director at DNAtrix.
Tory Burch, LLC [NEW YORK] announced it has named Pierre-Yves Roussel Chief Executive Officer, starting early 2019. Roussel was Chairman and CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group for the last 15 years and a member of the LVMH Executive Committee.. Roussel started his career as a financial analyst at HSBC and Morgan Stanley followed by 14 years with McKinsey & Company as a senior partner in charge of the luxury, retail and consumer goods practice.
Five Star Senior Living Inc. [NEWTON, MA] (Nasdaq: FVE) announced that Katherine E. Potter has been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2019. Potter has been with Five Star since 2012 and currently serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to joining Five Star, Potter practiced law at Sullivan & Worcester LLP and Burns & Levinson LLP. Potter succeeds Bruce J. Mackey Jr., who is stepping down as President and Chief Executive Officer effective December 31, 2018.
Softtek [DALLAS, TX] announced the appointment of Beni Lopez as chief executive officer for Softtek USA & Canada. In this capacity he will lead the organization through its next phase of growth, restructuring and strengthening of go-to-market capabilities. Beni’s most recent role was chief globalization officer (CGO) at Softtek. From 2000 to 2010, he held the position of CEO for Softtek USA.
Zodiac [NEW YORK] it has appointed Derek Harrar to serve as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. Harrar has been on Zodiac’s board of directors since 2015, having being appointed at the time of One Equity Partners’ investment in the Company. Harrar succeeds Brandon Brown, who held the chief executive position since 2009.
The Medicines Company [PARSIPPANY, NJ] (NASDAQ: MDCO) announced that it has appointed Mark Timney as the Company’s new Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Timney will succeed Clive Meanwell who has been appointed by the Board to serve as Chief Innovation Officer.
Tronair, Inc. [SWANTON, OH] announced the appointment of Paul Schwarzbaum as Chief Executive Officer. Schwarzbaum succeeds Harley Kaplan, who has retired. Most recently, Schwarzbaum was President and CEO of GT Technologies, Inc. Prior to joining GTT, Schwarzbaum served as a general manager at leading global manufacturers, including Zebra, Corning, and IDEX.
CIVANA [SCOTTSDALE, AZ] announced the appointment of Maggie Lang as Chief Executive Officer. Lang is an industry veteran with twenty-five years of leadership experience, most recently holding senior positions at United Airlines and Kimpton Hotels.
Agritek Holdings, Inc. [LOS ANGELES, CA] (OTC PINK: AGTK) announced that B. Michael Friedman has resigned as sole Director and CEO to pursue other opportunities. Effective immediately, the Board has appointed Suneil Singh Mundie as the Interim Chief Executive Officer. Friedman will assist management until the end of 2018.
Vein Clinics of America [SEATTLE, WA] announced that it has appointed Alton Shader as President and Chief Executive Officer effective December 10. Hans Thunem, VCA’s current CEO, made the decision earlier this year to retire from CEO work. Shader joins VCA from Hill-Rom. Shader originally joined Hill-Rom in 2011 and served as the President of North America.
Gilead Sciences, Inc. [FOSTER CITY, CA] (Nasdaq: GILD) announced that it has named Daniel O’Day Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1, 2019. O’Day is currently the CEO of Roche Pharmaceuticals a position he has held since 2012.
Class Valuation [TROY, MI] announced that Michael Detwiler, former Senior Managing Director at Accenture and Co-Founder of Mortgage Cadence, has joined as an equity partner and CEO. Detwiler comes to the company after serving as head of Accenture Software and its North American mortgage software and outsourcing business.
Ambys Medicines [REDWOOD CITY, CA] announced that Jeff Jonker has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and will also join the company’s Board of Directors. Jeffrey Tong who has served on Ambys’ Board and as interim CEO will become Chairman. Jonker joins Ambys Medicines from NGM Bio, where he previously served as President. Prior to joining NGM Bio, Jonker was Senior Vice President, Corporate and Business Development at Theravance Biopharma and held that same role at Theravance, Inc.
Broward Health [FORT LAUDERDALE, FL] has named Gino Santorio President/CEO. Before joining Broward Health, Santorio served as senior vice president and chief executive officer for Jackson North Medical Center and was VP/COO of Jackson Memorial Hospital. Santorio has served as COO and CFO/Hospital Compliance Officer at Spring Hill Regional Hospital and assistant CFO at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
Checkmate Pharmaceuticals Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] appointed Barry Labinger as President and CEO. Arthur M. Krieg Checkmate’s founder and current President and CEO will assume the newly-created role of Chief Scientific Officer. Both Labinger and Krieg will serve on Checkmate’s Board of Directors. Labinger most recently served as President, CEO, and Director of Biothera Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Biothera, he was Executive Vice President and President, Biosciences Division, at Emergent BioSolutions Inc.
Impremedia [NEW YORK] has designated Iván Adaime as its new CEO replacing Gabriel Dantur, who will return to LA NACION, Impremedia’s parent company. Adaime joined Impremedia in 2012 as Vice President Digital.
Aphena Pharma Solutions Inc. [EASTON, MD] announced that the active CEO, Kevin Kerchner, is retiring and that the board of directors has hired Shawn Reilley to take over as the new CEO of the pharmaceutical packaging and manufacturing company. Reilley was president of Anderson Brecon (formerly Anderson Packaging), an industry-leading contract packaging company.
Kubota Tractor Corporation [GRAPEVINE, TX] announced the appointment of Haruyuki (Harry) Yoshida as the new President and CEO of Kubota Tractor Corporation (KTC) and Kubota North America effective January 1, 2019. Yoshida is a 37-year Kubota veteran who most recently held the position of managing executive officer GM of farm and industrial machinery domain, strategy and operations headquarters in Osaka, Japan. Current President and CEO Masato Yoshikawa has been promoted to the position of director and senior managing executive officer, GM of planning and control headquarters, GM of global IT management, and will assume his new role in Osaka, Japan, at the start of the new year. Yoshikawa has served as KTC President and CEO since late 2013.
Paringa Resources [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: PNRL) announced that it has appointed Egan J. Antill as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director.
OnePlus Systems [CHICAGO] announced that it has appointed Stacey Kacek as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Kacek served as the Chief Executive Officer for Vertex. Prior to Vertex, Kacek was CEO at Microsystems.
