Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc. [BARBERTON, OH] (NYSE:BW) announced that Kenny Young has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Leslie Kass, who has served as Chief Executive Officer since February 2018, is leaving B&W to pursue other opportunities. Young currently serves as President of B. Riley Financial, Inc. and Chief Executive Officer of B. Riley Principal Investments, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of B. Riley Financial.
Brickell Biotech, Inc. [BOULDER, CO] announced the appointment of Robert Brown as Chief Executive Officer and Director, effective January 1, 2019. Brown assumes the role from Reginald Hardy, Brickell’s current CEO and co-founder. Hardy will remain on Brickell’s Board of Directors and will serve as special advisor to the CEO. Brown brings to Brickell more than 30 years of experience at pharmaceutical industry giant Lilly where he currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President.
Notogen Inc. [TORONTO] announced the appointment of Gary Margolis to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective November 15, 2018. Margolis most recently served as Managing Director, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of DRI Capital Inc. Prior to his tenure at DRI Capital, Margolis was a legal associate at Dewey Ballantine LLP in London, and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York. Margolis began his legal career at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP in Toronto.
Novelion Therapeutics Inc. [VANCOUVER, BC] (NASDAQ:NVLN), announced that General Counsel, Benjamin Harshbarger, has been appointed as interim CEO. Jeffrey Hackman resigned as interim CEO to pursue another opportunity and will stay with the Company in a transitional role until November 30, 2018. Harshbarger has served as Novelion’s general counsel since November 2016. Prior to that, he served as Aegerion’s acting general counsel, VP, EMEA legal counsel and as vice president, deputy general counsel. Before joining Aegerion in 2012 Harshbarger served as senior director, corporate counsel at Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from March 2008 to March 2012, and senior director, deputy general counsel at ViaCell, Inc. from March 2006 to March 2008.
Lexmark International, Inc. [LEXINGTON, KY] announced that Rich Geruson has decided to resign from his positions as president, CEO and director of Lexmark for personal reasons,. Geruson was named to his position in October of 2017. A search for a successor is underway. In the interim, Lexmark will be led by an executive management committee consisting of Allen Waugerman, senior vice president and chief technology officer; Brent Lambert, senior vice president, chief legal officer and secretary; and Vivian Liu, senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Alliance HealthCare Services, Inc. [IRVINE, CA] announced the promotion of Rhonda Longmore-Grund, currently the organization’s Interim CEO, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, to the role of Chief Executive Officer. Longmore-Grund joined Alliance in 2016 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Alliance, Longmore-Grund held several CFO roles including Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Printronix.
Caravan Health [KANSAS CITY, MO] announced that Tim Gronniger has been named President and that co-founder Erin Fulton will continue her role as Chief Operating Officer. Gronniger started with Caravan Health since 2017 and formerly served as the company’s Senior Vice President of Development and Strategy.
FEG Investment Advisors [Cincinnati, OH] announced that after 28 years with the firm, President and CEO Scott B. Harsh is stepping down at the end of the year. FEG has appointed Rebecca (Becky) S. Wood, previously Head of Institutional Services, President and CEO.
Partners Bank of California [MISSION VIEJO, CA] (OTC: PBKX) has announced the appointment of Chris Walsh as President & Chief Executive Officer. Walsh originally joined the Partners Bank team in June of 2018 and has served as President since that time. He now assumes the role of President and CEO. Walsh replaces Rick Mandelbaum who previously served as CEO until recently announcing his retirement from Partners Bank.
Genevant Sciences [BOSTON & BURNABY, BC] announced the appointment of Bo Rode Hansen, as President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Genevant earlier this year, Hansen served as Global Head of RNA Therapeutics at Roche, and as General Manager of the Roche Innovation Center Copenhagen. Prior to Roche, he was Vice President and Head of Drug Discovery & Alliance Management and on the Executive Leadership Team at Santaris Pharma A/S.
First Choice Healthcare Solutions, Inc. [MELBOURNE, FL] (OTCQB: FCHS) announced the appointment of Phillip Keller as Interim CEO. Keller has served as the Company CFO since July 2017.Keller’s previous roles include CFO of RehabCare, SVP of Finance at Pharmerica and SVP at BioScrip.
Compass Minerals [OVERLAND PARK, KS] (NYSE:CMP) announced that the company’s Board of Directors and Fran Malecha have mutually agreed that Malecha will step down from his position as president, CEO and board member effective immediately. Dick Grant, lead independent director, will serve as chairman of the board and interim CEO until a permanent CEO is named.
