Veriato [PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL] has named Larry Thompson as CEO. Thompson previously served as both President and CFO at Veriato. He has been with the company for over 10 years and is now responsible for all operational aspects.
Motiv Group [DENVER] announced the appointment of Sam Renouf as its Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Renouf recently joined Motiv from Active Network and formerly held the role of President at Motiv since December 2017.
Carey International, Inc. [FREDERICK, MD] announced today it has named Sandy Miller as its new Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Miller served as a founding Partner at Basin Street Partners and most notably served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Budget Group, Inc.
Brightstar Corp. [MIAMI] announced that Paul Galant has been named Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Brightstar Corp Most recently Galant served as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of VeriFone Systems Inc.
StarCompliance [ROCKVILLE, MD] announced that appointed of Jennifer Sun as its new CEO and board member. Sun will succeed StarCompliance’s founder and retiring CEO Marc Epstein, who will remain on the board of directors.
Pacific Blue Cross [VANCOUVER, BC] announced that it has appointed John Crawford as President and Chief Executive Officer, following his successful nine-month tenure as Interim President and CEO. Crawford joined Pacific Blue Cross three decades ago and prior to being named Interim President and CEO in November 2017, he was Chief Financial Officer.
Aileron Therapeutics [WATERTOWN, MA] (NASDAQ: ALRN) announced that Manuel Aivado has been named President and Chief Executive Officer and elected to its Board of Directors. Since 2012, Aivado has served as Aileron’s Senior Vice President and Chief Medical and Scientific Officer. He succeeds John P. Longenecker who was appointed interim CEO on May 15, 2018.
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport’s passenger terminal [TORONTO] announced the appointment of Neil Pakey as its new Chief Executive Officer effective September 24, 2018. Pakey will replace Giulio Leucci, who has served as Acting Chief Executive Officer on an interim basis since January 2018.
Clear Ballot [BOSTON, MA] announced that Jordan Esten, who joined Clear Ballot in 2012 and was previously Clear Ballot’s Chief Operating Officer, is the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Larry Moore remains on the board.
Kingsway Financial Services Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX: KFS) announced that John T. (“JT”) Fitzgerald, formerly the Company’s President and Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer and President. Larry G. Swets, Jr., former Chief Executive Officer, will transition to a role as Senior Advisor to the Company and will remain on the Company’s Board of Directors. As CEO, Fitzgerald will continue to serve on Kingsway’s Board of Directors, which he joined in April 2016.
Crescent Point Energy Corp. [CALGARY, AB] (TSX & NYSE: CPG) announced the appointment of Craig Bryksa as President and Chief Executive Officer and the appointment of Robert (Bob) Heinemann as the new Chairman of the Board.
SpringWorks Therapeutics [NEW YORK] announced that the company has appointed Saqib Islam as chief executive officer. Islam, who previously served as chief financial and chief business officer at SpringWorks Therapeutics, will also join the Board of Directors. Islam joined SpringWorks Therapeutics from Moderna Therapeutics.
ExteNet Systems [CHICAGO] announced the appointment of Jim Hyde as Chief Executive Officer. Hyde succeeds Ross Manire, the co-founder of ExteNet Systems who is retiring and has served as President and CEO since 2002. Most recently, Hyde served as President of Prepaid Group, Wholesale, Affiliates and Strategic Partnerships for Sprint.
Rosehill Resources Inc. [HOUSTON] (NASDAQ: ROSE) announced that the Chairman of the Company’s board of directors, Gary C. Hanna, has been appointed to also serve as the interim President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and its sole subsidiary, Rosehill Operating Company, LLC, effective immediately and until the search for a new President and CEO is complete. Hanna succeeds J. A. (Alan) Townsend, the Company’s prior President and Chief Executive Officer. The Company previously announced Townsend’s retirement in April 2018. Hanna previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of KLR Energy.
Haynes International, Inc. [KOKOMO, ID] (NASDAQ GM: HAYN) announced that it has appointed Michael Shor as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2018. Shor has served as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company since May 29, 2018 and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Company since 2012, serving as its Chairman from 2017 until his appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer. Following his election as President and CEO, Shor stepped down as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company and will continue as a director of the Company.
ADT Inc. [BOCA RATON, FL] (NYSE : ADT) announced that Jim DeVries, currently president of ADT, will be promoted to Chief Executive Officer to succeed Tim Whall, who will be retiring on November 30, 2018. DeVries will be appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors following the transition. Whall will remain on the Company’s Board and serve as an advisor to the Company. DeVries joined ADT as Chief Operating Officer in May 2016 and has served as President since September 2017.
WellBridge Hospital in Fort Worth [FORT WORTH, TX] announced that Soni Helmicki has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Helmicki has most recently served in Chief Executive and Compliance roles with other local Texas Healthcare entities.
CareerBuilder [CHICAGO] announced that Irina Novoselsky, who joined CareerBuilder in October 2017 as President and Chief Operating Officer, is being named the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. Matt Ferguson, following 14 years as Chief Executive Officer, will assume the role of Executive Chairman. Before joining CareerBuilder in 2017, Novoselsky served as CFO and then President of Novitex Enterprise Solutions.
Venminder, Inc. [ELIZABETHTOWN, KY] announced that it has appointed James Hyde as chief executive officer, succeeding Dana Bowers who will continue to serve at Venminder as Chief Solutions Architect and board member.
Equity Residential [CHICAGO] (NYSE: EQR) announced that David J. Neithercut, the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer since 2006, will retire as CEO on December 31, 2018, at which time Mark J. Parrell will be appointed CEO and join the Company’s Board of Trustees. Neithercut will remain a member of the Board following his retirement. Parrell has been appointed President. Parrell has served as the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since 2007. From 2005 to 2007, Parrell served as the Company’s Senior Vice President and Treasurer and has held various roles in the Company’s finance group since 1999.
2020 On-site [BOSTON] announced this morning the appointment of Alexis McLaughlin as 2020’s new Chief Executive Officer. McLaughlin will also join 2020’s Board of Directors. Most recently, McLaughlin was SVP/General Manager of Retail Licensed Brands at Luxottica Retail. Former CEO and company founder, Howard Bornstein, will continue to serve on the board.
FreshDirect [NEW YORK] announced that after 20 years of service, founder and CEO Jason Ackerman has stepped down from his role as Chairman and CEO. Co-founder David McInerney is assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer and will join the board of directors. McInerney has served in several leadership roles at FreshDirect, most recently as Chief Merchandising Officer.
Coast Capital Savings [SURREY, BC] announced the appointment of respected financial services executive Calvin MacInnis as its new president and CEO, effective September 24. MacInnis served most recently as President, Direct Investing at Toronto Dominion Bank. Prior to that, he co-founded and served as Managing Partner of QTrade Financial Group. Current interim president and CEO Bruce Schouten will return to his previous role as Chief Risk Officer.
Gain Theory [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Shawn O’Neal as CEO North America. O’Neal has held strategic, analytic and consulting roles at global organizations including Unilever, McKinsey & Co and Pepsi.
Painting with a Twist® [NEW ORLEANS, LA] has named the company’s first-ever CEO. Joe Lewis has taken over the leadership role. Lewis was most recently Vice President and General Counsel at Smoothie King Franchises, Inc. Lewis joined Smoothie King when the brand had 39 stores and served as President, CEO, General Counsel and on the Board of Directors during his tenure.
VISIT PHILADELPHIA® [PHILADELPHIA, PA] announced that Jeff Guaracino, current president and CEO of Welcome America, Inc., has been selected to lead VISIT PHILADELPHIA as president and CEO beginning on October 29, 2018. Guaracino succeeds Meryl Levitz, founding president and CEO, who announced in January 2018that she planned to leave her position Guaracino joined the organization in September 2001 and spent more than a decade in leadership roles. In 2012, he left to serve as chief strategy and communications officer for the Atlantic City Alliance.
KCI Technologies Inc. [SPARKS, MD] announced that Nathan J. Beil president of the company, has assumed the role of chief executive officer, replacing Terry Neimeyer who served in the post for nearly two decades. Neimeyer, who became CEO in 1999 will remain chairman of the board.
Veeco Instruments Inc. [PLAINVIEW, NY] (NASDAQ: VECO) announced that John Peeler, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman, effective October 1, 2018. William J. Miller, currently President, will become Chief Executive Officer and will join the Company’s board of directors. Peeler joined Veeco in 2007 as Chief Executive Officer and became Chairman of the Board in 2012.
Openforce® [PHOENIX, AZ] announced the appointment of Ryan Kelly as CEO. Kelly replaces Drake Pruitt who recently departed the company to pursue other interests. Prior to Openforce, Kelly was most recently President of LawLogix.
HR Tech Group [VANCOUVER ,BC] announced that it has selected Stephanie Hollingshead to serve as the association’s next Chief Executive Officer, effective today. Allison Rutherford, who founded HR Tech Group more than 25 years ago, is retiring to spend more time with her family. Rutherford will remain as a member of the Board of Directors. Hollingshead was most recently the Vice President of Human Resources at Sierra Systems, where she served in a leadership capacity since 2005.
Forward Air Corporation [GREENEVILLE, TN] (NASDAQ: FWRD) announced that its previously-announced CEO transition became effective on September 1, 2018, when Tom Schmitt, the Company’s new President and CEO, began his employment with the Company and was elected as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Also effective on September 1, 2018, Bruce Campbell assumed his new role as Executive Chairman. Campbell has served as the President and CEO since 2003.
