Tethis Inc. [RALEIGH, NC] announced it has appointed Robin Weitkamp as Chief Executive Officer. Weitkamp joins Tethis from Elevance Renewable Sciences, where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Elevance, Weitkamp oversaw the Collaborations Division at Symyx Technologies, and before that, held various commercial leadership roles within BP and Albemarle.
Discover Financial Services [RIVERWOODS, IL] (NYSE: DFS) announced that Roger Hochschild, currently President and Chief Operating Officer, will succeed David Nelms as Chief Executive Officer on October 1, 2018, and will retain his role as President. Hochschild has been elected to the company’s Board of Directors. Following the CEO succession, Nelms will continue as Executive Chairman until his retirement. Prior to joining Discover, Hochschild worked for the consulting firm Booz Allen and served in various leadership positions at MBNA America.
ITT Inc. [WHITE PLAINS, NY] (NYSE: ITT) announced that CEO and President Denise Ramos has decided to retire. Ramos will continue to serve as CEO until Jan. 1 and in an advisory role to the company until her retirement on March 1, 2019. Luca Savi has been named to the newly created role of President and Chief Operating Officer, and he will become Chief Executive Officer and President on Jan. 1, 2019. Savi joined ITT in 2011 and most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Savi also served as president of the company’s Motion Technologies segment.
Lenders One Cooperative [ST. LOUIS, MO] announced that Michael Kuentz has been promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer of Lenders One. Kuentz previously held the title of President. Prior to joining Lenders One, Kuentz served in senior roles for Equifax, Inc., including Senior Vice President of Verification Services and Senior Vice President of Mortgage Services. Kuentz joined Equifax in 2001 as part of its acquisition of Rapid Reporting where he was a partner.
Navitor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced the appointment of Thomas E. Hughes as Chief Executive Officer. George P. Vlasuk current President and CEO of Navitor, will remain President and will assume the newly created role of Chief Scientific Officer. Both Hughes and Vlasuk will serve on Navitor’s Board of Directors. Hughes most recently served as President and Chief Scientific Officer of Zafgen and previously led Zafgen as CEO from 2008 to 2017. Prior to Zafgen, Hughes held several positions at Novartis including Global Head of the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases Therapeutic Area at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research.
Oncobiologics, Inc. [CRANBURY, NJ] (NASDAQ:ONS) announced that Lawrence A. Kenyon, its Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary, has been appointed to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer, and has joined the Company’s Board of Directors as a Class II Director. Kenyon will remain as CFO until a replacement is appointed. Kenyon was appointed interim CEO at Oncobiologics in June 2018 after he joined Oncobiologics as CFO and corporate secretary in September 2015.
Lexington Insurance Company [NEW YORK] announced that David H. McElroy will join the company as Chief Executive Officer. McElroy has held numerous leadership roles within the insurance industry, including Executive Chairman of Arch Insurance Group Inc. and Vice Chairman of Arch Worldwide Insurance Group. Previously, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Arch Worldwide Insurance Group. Earlier in his career, Mr. McElroy held roles at The Hartford Financial Services Corporation, Reliance National and Chubb.
iQor [ST. PETERSBURG, FL] announced that Gary Praznik will become chief executive officer of the company. Praznik replaces Hartmut Liebel who will take on an advisory role at the company and remain on the Board of Directors. Praznik previously served as iQor’s chief operating officer, and has held various global leadership roles in Operations and Business Development since joining the company in 2000.
Gateway Mortgage Group [JENKS, OK] announced that it has appointed Stephen Curry as the new Chief Executive Officer of Gateway. Curry will assume responsibilities on August 1, 2018, and will succeed Kevin Stitt, chairman and CEO, who founded Gateway in 2000 and has led the company for the past 18 years. Stitt will remain on as chairman. Curry has been working with Gateway in an advisory role for the last year.
Foundations Recovery Network [BRENTWOOD, TN] announced that Matt Feehery has been named Chief Executive Officer at effective July 30, 2018. Feehery most recently served as CEO of the Memorial Hermann Prevention and Recovery Center and senior vice president of Behavioral Health Services. Previously, Feehery held leadership roles including executive director, CEO and consultant for several alcohol and drug treatment organizations and psychiatric hospitals, including one of the nation’s first alcohol and drug treatment centers, New Hampshire’s Beech Hill Hospital.
Halo Labs [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the appointment of Robert Wicke as Chief Executive Officer. Wicke succeeds Robert Hart who is transitioning to Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining Halo Labs, Wicke held various senior leadership positions including General Manager at Pall ForteBio, Senior VP of Instrumentation R&D at Pall, VP of Product Development at Molecular Devices, and VP of Software Engineering at Axon Instruments.
Brandlive [PORTLAND, OR] announced that it has appointed Jeff Allen as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Fritz Brumder, Brandlive’s founder will transition into a new role as Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Allen was the global head of strategy and partnerships for Brightcove. Prior to Brightcove, Allen served as the vice president of business and corporate development for Clearleap. Allen has held various roles and positions including start-up CEO/CTO, product line P&L executive, head of corporate development and M&A teams. Allen also served as a Silicon Valley venture capitalist and board director for 10 technology companies.
Landmark Health [HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA] announced that Nick Loporcaro has been named its Chief Executive Officer, effective September 4th, 2018. Loporcaro will succeed Adam Boehler, the Company’s Founder and former CEO, who has been named Deputy Administrator of CMS and Director of the CMS Innovation Center. Loporcaro joins Landmark from McKesson where he most recently served as President of McKesson’s U.S. Pharma and Specialty Health businesses. Prior to that, Loporcaro was President of McKesson Canada from 2011 to 2014 and Vice President and General Manager of McKesson from 2003 to 2011.
Amplicare [NEW YORK] announced that it has appointed Matt Johnson as Chief Executive Officer effective August 1, 2018. Flaviu Simihaian, Amplicare’s co-founder, will assume the role as Chairman of the Board of Directors and step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer. Johnson has served as Amplicare’s Chief Operating Officer and as a Director on the Board since starting the Company in 2012.
Cytovance® Biologics, Inc. [OKLAHOMA CITY, OK] has named Yan Wang as Chief Executive Officer. Wang has been with Cytovance as a member of the Board of Directors since 2015 and also serves as President of Scientific Protein Laboratories LLC, a sister company to Cytovance. Prior to his current positions, Wang was Vice President of Business Development and Research at SPL. Prior to SPL, Wang worked as both a research scientist and a business manager at a specialty chemical company.
Colony Bankcorp, Inc. [FITZGERALD, GA] (NASDAQ: CBAN) announced the appointment of T. Heath Fountain as its President & CEO. Fountain most recently served as President & CEO of Planters First Bank. Fountain succeeds Edward P. Loomis, Jr., who is retiring from the Company after six years of service. Loomis will remain on the Company’s board through his current term ending in May of 2019. Prior to joining Planters First Bank, Fountain was the Chief Financial Officer of Albany, Georgia based Heritage Financial Group and HeritageBank of the South.
LifeShield [LANGHORNE, PA] announced that it has named John Owens to the role of Chief Executive Officer. LifeShield investor and outgoing CEO, Mike Hagan, continuing in his role as Chairman. Prior to joining LifeShield, Owens was Chief Marketing Officer with J.G. Wentworth. Owens was previously Head of Marketing for ING DIRECT.
Cell Medica [HOUSTON] has appointed Chris Nowers as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. Nowers appointment follows founder Gregg Sando’s decision to step down as Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Company. Nowers joins Cell Medica from Kite Pharma, where he was Head of Europe. Previous to his role at Kite, Nowers has held a number of senior leadership roles that included CEO of Avantogen Oncology, General Management roles at Amgen, and senior global and regional commercial leadership roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Greencore Group plc [CHICAGO, IL] announced the appointment of Anton Vincent as CEO of Greencore USA, a subsidiary of UK-listed Greencore plc. Vincent joins Greencore from General Mills, where he most recently was the President of their $3 billion US Snacks division. Vincent began his career at General Mills in 1993, progressing through leadership roles including executive roles as President of Frozen Frontier division and President of Baking division.
The National Association of College and University Business Officers [WASHINGTON, DC] welcomes Susan Whealler Johnston as its next president and chief executive officer. Johnston will succeed John Walda, who will retire from NACUBO as president and CEO after leading the association for 12 years. Johnston joins NACUBO from the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges, where she has worked since 2000, serving as executive vice president and chief operating officer since 2012. Before AGB, Johnston was a professor of English and dean of academic development at Rockford University in Illinois, as well as associate dean at its campus in London, Regent’s College.
Cherwell Software [COLORADO SPRINGS, CO] has named Sam Gilliland as its new CEO. Gilliland is former Chairman & CEO of Sabre Corporation and Travelocity.com. Cherwell Co-founder Vance Brown, who has been serving as interim CEO, will remain Chairman of the Board. Recently, Gilliland served on several private and public company boards, including as lead director at Rackspace Hosting. Gilliland also served as an executive partner at Siris Capital.
ThoughtSpot [PALO ALTO, CA] announced it has appointed Sudheesh Nair as its new CEO. Ajeet Singh, co-founder and CEO of ThoughtSpot, will take on the full-time role of executive chairman. Nair joins ThoughtSpot from Nutanix, where he was the company’s President. Nair has been President at Nutanix since February 2016, having served as SVP of Worldwide Sales & Business Development from April 2014 to February 2016 and VP of Sales from October 2013 to April 2014. Nair joined Nutanix as employee 16 and the company’s first salesperson in February 2011. Prior to joining Nutanix, Nair worked in various sales leadership positions at IBM-XIV, DDN, ONStor and Zambeel.
St Ives Group PLC [CHICAGO, IL] announced that J Schwan will be appointed as the group’s CEO. Schwan has been with St Ives for three years, serving previously as founder and CEO of Solstice, the group’s largest strategic services business, and more recently as the group’s first chief digital officer. Schwan will take over for current CEO Matt Armitage, who is retiring. Armitage will remain with the group for another 12 months as a special adviser.
The Arc San Francisco [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the appointment of Matthew Tarver-Wahlquist as the agency’s new Chief Executive Officer. Tarver-Wahlquist served most recently as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Lifehouse. Tarver-Wahlquist’s experience also includes three years as Director of Residential Programs and Client Services at The Cedars of Marin and eight years at Opportunity for Independence.
ARJ Infusion Services [KANSAS CITY, MO] has announced the promotion of Andy Copeland as its new chief executive officer. Copeland previously served as ARJ’s Vice President and General Manager since 2015 and joined ARJ in 2004.
