The University City Science Center [PHILADELPHIA, PA] announced today that Stephen Zarrilli will assume the role of President & Chief Executive Officer effective October 1, 2018. Zarrilli served most recently as the President & CEO of Safeguard Scientifics. Zarrilli was in the role for six years through June 30, 2018, and as Safeguard’s CFO from 2008 – 2012. Before joining Safeguard, Zarrilli was the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Penn Valley Group. Zarrilli also previously served as CFO of Fiberlink Corporation and as Chairman and CEO of Concellera Software.
LLOG Exploration Company LLC [COVINGTON, LA] announced that Philip LeJeune, LLOG’s current Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, has been named Chief Executive Officer and President. LeJeune joined LLOG in 1997 and has held the position of Chief Financial Officer since 2014. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Planning and Budgeting. From January 1995 to August 1997, LeJeune spent time in the tax section of Arthur Andersen LLP.
Ayla Networks [SANTA CLARA, CA] announced that Jonathan Cobb has been promoted from chief operating officer to CEO, while David Friedman, current CEO and co-founder, will take on a new role as executive chairman and chief strategy officer. Jonathan Cobb joined Ayla Networks as chief operating officer in July 2017. Cobb previously served as president, software and services, at Pace.
Awake Security [SUNNYVALE, CA] announced that it has appointed former Cylance Chief Technology Officer Rahul Kashyap as its new chief executive officer. Awake’s founding CEO, Michael Callahan, will continue to be actively involved, taking on a technical leadership role and continuing as a director on the board. Prior to joining Awake, Kashyap spent almost two years at Cylance, where he served as chief product officer and then chief technology officer. Before that, Kashyap was executive vice president of products at Bromium and head of vulnerability research at McAfee.
VenueNext [SANTA CLARA, CA] announced that it has named Anthony Perez, former chief marketing officer from the Orlando Magic, as the new chief executive officer. John Paul, VenueNext’s founder and current CEO, will become vice chairman on VenueNext’s board of directors. Perez has spent the last 10 years with the Orlando Magic in various leadership roles. Perez served as executive vice president of strategy and was promoted to chief marketing officer in 2017.
Supplier.ai [WASHINGTON, DC] announced that Joe Jordan has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer. Jordan most recently was President and CEO of FedBid, Inc. Prior to FedBid, Jordan worked in the White House as the Administrator for the Office of Federal Procurement Policy and Associate Administrator for Government Contracting at the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Nielsen [NEW YORK] announced that Mitch Barns, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board will retire from the company at the end of 2018. Barns will remain with the company through the end of the year to oversee the company.
Axalta Coating Systems Ltd. [PHILADELPHIA, PA] (NYSE: AXTA) announced that it has appointed Terrence Hahn as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 4, 2018, succeeding Charlie Shaver, who served as Axalta’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 2013. Hahn will also serve on Axalta’s Board of Directors. Hahn was most recently President and Chief Executive Officer of Honeywell International Inc.’s Home and Building Technologies group. Shaver will remain on Axalta’s Board and serve as Non-Executive Chairman, working closely with Hahn to ensure a seamless leadership transition.
Gilead Sciences, Inc. [FOSTER CITY, CA] (NASDAQ: GILD) announced that John F. Milligan will step down as President and Chief Executive Officer after a 28-year career with the company. Milligan will remain in his current position through the end of the year, while the Board of Directors conducts a search to identify a successor.
Forbes Travel Guide [ATLANTA, GA] announced that Gerard “Jerry” Inzerillo, who has served as CEO of Forbes Travel Guide since 2014, will be appointed Vice-Chairman of the Forbes Travel Guide Board of Directors and Filip Boyen will be appointed CEO of Forbes Travel Guide. Boyen was most recently the CEO of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, which he joined in 2015 following decades of stewardship with Orient Express Hotels and Resorts where his last role was Chief Operation Officer at Belmond and will remain in London.
Bako Diagnostics [ATLANTA, Ga] announced the appointment of Ted Hull as Chief Executive Officer. Hull succeeds Larry McCarthy, Chairman of Bako Diagnostics, who has also served as interim Chief Executive Officer since August 2017. Most recently, Hull served as Managing Partner of Ramble Ventures. Prior to that, Hull worked for Eurofins Scientific. Hull spent 15 years, from 2000-2015, at Genova Diagnostics, where he served as both Chief Financial Officer and then Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
lululemon athletica inc. [VANCOUVER, BC] (NASDAQ:LULU) announced the appointment of Calvin McDonald to serve as Chief Executive Officer, effective August 20, 2018. For the past five years, McDonald served as President and CEO of Americas for Sephora. McDonald will become a member of lululemon’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining Sephora in 2013, McDonald spent two years as President and CEO of Sears Canada.
DirectTrust [WASHINGTON, DC] announced the appointment of Scott Stuewe as its next President and CEO. Stuewe succeeds DirectTrust founding President and CEO David Kibbe. Stuewe currently serves as Director of Strategy and Interoperability at DataFile Technologies. Previously, Stuewe spent 24 years at Cerner Corporation, most recently as Cerner Network’s director of national interoperability strategy.
Clearwater Analytics [BOISE, ID] announced that Sandeep Sahai has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Clearwater. David Boren, co-founder and former Chief Executive Officer at Clearwater now sits on the Board of Directors. Sahai has served on Clearwater’s Board of Directors since September 2016 and has been the Executive Chairman since March of this year. Sahai has been an operating partner with Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe since 2014. Prior to that, Sahai served as the President and CEO of Headstrong.
CN [MONTREAL, QC] (TSX: CNR) announced the appointment of Jean-Jacques Ruest as President and Chief Executive Officer of CN. Ruest has also been appointed to CN’s Board of Directors. Ruest has been with the Company for 22 years, the last eight as Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer. Ruest was appointed Interim President and Chief Executive Officer on March 5, 2018, in addition to his position as Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer. Ruest joined CN in 1996 as Vice-President, Petroleum and Chemicals and was appointed Vice-President, Industrial Products in 2003, Vice-President, Marketing in 2004, and Senior Vice-President, Marketing in June 2006.
Buyatab Online Inc. [VANCOUVER, BC] announced that Matias Marquez, has been named the company’s next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective July 6, 2018. Matias is the company’s founder and serving Chief Operating Officer. Johann Tergesen, the company’s preceding CEO, has been appointed Vice Chair of the Board.
Vitamin Shoppe, Inc. [SECAUCUS, NJ] (NYSE: VSI) announced that it has appointed Sharon M. Leite as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors, effective August 27, 2018. Prior to joining The Vitamin Shoppe, Leite was the President of Godiva Chocolatier in North America since October 2017. Prior to that, Leite was the President of Sally Beauty, US and Canada. Leite spent close to a decade at Pier 1 Imports with her last position in 2016 as Executive Vice President of Sales, Customer Experience, & Real Estate.
Regulatory DataCorp, Inc. [NEW YORK] announced that Tom Walsh will be its new Chief Executive Officer. Walsh takes over from Thomas M. Obermaier, who served as RDC’s CEO since 2009. Obermaier will continue with RDC in the role of Senior Board Advisor. Prior to joining RDC, Walsh served as CEO of the Software Division at Kaufman Hall & Associates. Prior to Kaufman Hall, Walsh held numerous software executive roles with Thomson Reuters in both the U.S. and abroad where he led several global enterprise software businesses through various stages of maturity.
Label Insight [CHICAGO, IL] announced the appointment of Ronak Sheth as chief executive officer. Sheth succeeds Paul Schaut, who is stepping down from his role to focus on his various board commitments and personal interests. Sheth was previously chief strategy officer and is one of the company’s founders.
Split Limit Studios [WALTHAM, MA] announced the appointment of George Kostakos as Chief Executive Officer and to the Board of Directors. Before joining Split Limit, Kostakos served since September 2016 as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Coretelligent.Kostakos also previously served as General Counsel and as part of the senior management team at OnForce, Inc.
Resolve Systems [IRVINE, CA] announced that it has named John Ferron, as the company’s Chief Executive Officer effective July 17th. Ferron most recently served as an operating advisor to Clearlake Capital Group since its inception in 2006. During this time, Ferron served as the executive chairman of Ivanti. Prior to Ivanti, Ferron was CEO and President of HEAT Software, NetMotion Software and Purple Communications.
IDW Media Holdings, Inc. [STAMFORD, CT] (OTCQX: IDWM) announced that Kerry McCluggage, who joined the Board of Directors in September 2017, has been named as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. The former Paramount TV Chairman and Universal TV President will replace current CEO and founder Ted Adams, who is taking a brief sabbatical and will return to IDW in a new creative role. Since 2002, McCluggage has served as President of Craftsman Films. Prior to forming Craftsman Films, McCluggage was Chairman of the Paramount Television Group.
Emagispace® [COLORADO SPRINGS, CO] announced the appointment of David Kirshenbaum to CEO as part of a planned leadership transition that moves Noel Maxam, co-founder and former CEO, to the board. Kirshenbaum joins Emagispace after successfully leading Hilco Real Estate’s Corporate Services Group. Prior to joining Hilco Real Estate, Kirshenbaum was SVP of residential and retail operations and COO with Joseph Freed and Associates. Previously, Kirshenbaum served as COO and then President of LR Development Company.
Zoom Information, Inc. [WALTHAM, MA] announced that it has appointed Derek Schoettle as its CEO and to its Board of Directors. Schoettle assumed the role on July 10, 2018. Schoettle succeeds Yonatan Stern, who was also the company’s founder and chief scientist. Schoettle joins ZoomInfo after a successful four-year stint at IBM, where most recently he was the Chief Business Officer and General Manager of the Watson and Cloud Platform business. Schoettle was previously CEO of Cloudant and has also held executive roles with Vertica Systems and Infocrossing and Intellireach.
NAILBITER [RESTON, VA] announced that Amishi Takalkar will lead the company as the new CEO. Takalkar is a Co-founder and the architect of NAILBITER data products. Amit Dhand will transition from CEO to EVP of Client Services.
The Carolina Longevity Institute LLC [RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC] announced that Michael Holder has joined as chief executive officer and portfolio manager, effective June 6, 2018. Prior to joining CLI, Holder was the chairman and CEO of Organ Transport Systems Inc.
AllCloud [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that it has appointed Eran Gil to CEO. Prior to joining AllCloud as Executive Board Director in 2015, Gil was co-founder of Cloud Sherpas. Incumbent AllCloud CEO Ronit Rubin will remain with the organization as GM of EMEA.
Moda Operandi [NEW YORK] announced that Ganesh Srivats has been appointed as CEO, taking over day-to-day operations from Deborah Nicodemus. Srivats comes to Moda Operandi from Tesla, where he was the Vice President in charge of developing the North America and EMEA markets. Prior to joining Tesla, Srivats spent ten years at Burberry, ultimately serving as senior vice president of retail for the Americas.
GroGuru [SAN DIEGO, CA] has named Patrick Henry president and CEO. Henry’s predecessor and GroGuru co-founder, Farooq Anjum, remains with the company as chief technical officer and member of the board of directors. Just prior to GroGuru, Henry was an investor and advisor to GroGuru, and the CEO of strategy consulting firm QuestFusion. Henry was also the former CEO of cable networking company Entropic Communications for eleven years. Henry also served as president and CEO of Pictos Technologies, and LinCom Wireless.
Grow Condos, Inc. [EAGLE POINT, OR] (OTCPK: GRWC) announced that on July 1, 2018, Wayne Zallen resigned as the President and CEO of Grow Condos, Inc. On the same day, Jonathan Bonnette was elected to the Board of Directors. Bonnette was also appointed the President and CEO of the Company. Zallen will remain the Chairman of the Board of Directors and will continue to serve as the CFO until such time as a replacement can be found. Bonnette co-founded United First Financial which created the Money Merge™ system. From 2014 through 2018 Bonnette worked for Legacy Solutions Group, a company which he also owns.
