KnowledgeWorks [CINCINNATI, OH] announced Charles (Chuck) Ambrose as its new president and CEO. Ambrose has successfully led as the president of the University of Central Missouri for eight years. Prior to joining UCM, Ambrose served for 12 years as president of Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, North Carolina.
StoneMor GP LLC [TREVOSE, PA] (NYSE: STON) announced the appointment of Joseph M. Redling as President and Chief Executive. Redling will also join the StoneMor GP Board of Directors on that date. Redling replaces Interim CEO Leo Pound, who will remain on the StoneMor GP Board of Directors and is expected to rejoin the Audit Committee effective October 1, 2018. Redling most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of Vonage Holdings. Inc. Before taking on the role of COO he was President of Consumer Services for Vonage overseeing its large consumer business. Prior to that, Redling was President and Chief Executive Officer of Nutrisystem, Inc.
The National Association of Water Companies [WASHINGTON, DC] has selected Robert F. Powelson to serve as NAWC’s new chief executive. Powelson is past president of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, where he also was a member of the Board of Directors.
Federal Resources Supply Company [STEVENSVILLE, MD] announced that it has appointed Larry Gwaltney as Chief Executive Officer. Federal Resources also announced that Robert McWilliams, current CEO and Chairman of the Federal Resources Board of Directors, will serve as President and continue as Chairman of the Board. Gwaltney comes to FR from Moore & Van Allen PLLC. Prior to joining Moore & Van Allen, Larry was a U.S. Army officer.
HNI Corporation [MUSCATINE, IA] (NYSE: HNI) announced today the retirement of Stan A. Askren as Chief Executive Officer and the promotion of Jeffrey D. Lorenger as its new Chief Executive Officer. Askren will remain Chairman of the Board of Directors until his retirement from the Board, which is anticipated no later than the end of the year. As part of this succession process, Lorenger was appointed President, HNI Corporation and a Director of the Corporation on April 20, 2018.
Rambus Inc. [SUNNYVALE, CA] (NASDAQ: RMBS) announced that the Company has terminated Ron Black as Chief Executive Officer. Black has also resigned from his position on the Rambus Board of Directors. The Board has appointed Luc Seraphin, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Memory and Interfaces Division, as interim CEO. Prior to this role, Seraphin was the Senior Vice President of Rambus’ Worldwide Sales and Operations.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota [EAGAN, MN] announced the appointment of Craig Samitt as its new president and chief executive officer. Samitt comes to Blue Cross from Anthem, Inc., where he most recently served as executive vice president and chief clinical officer. Prior to joining Anthem, Samitt held a number of senior executive positions, including partner and global provider practice leader at Oliver Wyman; president and CEO of HealthCare Partners, a subsidiary of DaVita HealthCare; and president and CEO of Dean Health System Inc. Samitt will assume the role of president and CEO from Kathleen Blatz, the organization’s interim CEO since March 2018.
World Acceptance Corporation [GREENVILLE, SC] (NASDAQ: WRLD) announced the promotion of R. Chad Prashad, current Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy and Analytics Officer, to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. Prashad has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy and Analytics Officer since February 2018 and as Vice President of Analytics from June 2014 to February 2018. Previously,. Prashad served as Senior Director of Strategy Development for Resurgent Capital Services from 2013 to 2014 and Director of Legal Strategy for Resurgent Capital Services from 2009 to 2013. In connection with Prashad’s promotion, the Company terminated the Services Agreement with James H. Wanserski who served as the Company’s Interim President and Chief Executive Officer since January 22, 2018.
Brain Sentinel, Inc. [SAN ANTONIO, TX] announced today that Chris Fashek will serve as Chief Executive Officer and member of its Board. Mike Girouard, co-founder of the company, will continue on as President, Brain Sentinel, Inc. Prior to joining Brain Sentinel, Fashek served as CEO at Atteris Healthcare LLC, as well as the Vice Chairman of Rochal Industries. Fashek was also previously Chairman and CEO at Spiracur Inc.
The Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health [PALO ALTO, CA] announced that Cynthia Brandt Stover will assume the role of president and Chief Executive Officer on September 4. Brandt Stover has been campaign director at the Smithsonian Institution since 2013.Prior to joining the Smithsonian, Brandt Stover was vice president for institutional advancement at Mills College in Oakland, California. Brandt Stover succeeds David Alexander who stepped down in March after holding the position for 11 years.
Buildium [BOSTON, MA] announced that it has appointed Christopher (Chris) Litster as Chief Executive Officer and successor to Michael Monteiro. Monteiro, will remain with the company, and continue to serve on the Buildium Board of Directors.Since January 2017, Litster has served as Buildium’s Chief Customer Officer. Prior to joining Buildium, Litster served as SVP and Chief Revenue Officer at Constant Contact.
Neos Therapeutics, Inc. [DALLAS, TX] (Nasdaq: NEOS) announced that Jerry McLaughlin has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Neos. He also will serve on the company’s board of directors. McLaughlin joins Neos from CNS biopharmaceutical company, AgeneBio, where he was President and Chief Executive Officer since June 2014. Prior to joining AgeneBio, he served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of NuPathe Inc. Previously, McLaughlin was at Endo Pharmaceuticals from 2001 to 2007 and served in a variety of commercial leadership roles at Merck from 1990 to 2001. Vipin K. Garg is resigning as Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of Neos. Dr. Garg will serve as an advisor to the company through the end of July 2018.
AtScale [SAN MATEO, CA] announced the appointment of Christopher Lynch as Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Previously Lynch has served as the Chairman and CEO at Vertica Systems. Prior to Vertica, he was the CEO and co-founder of Acopia networks.
Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation [CARNEGIE, PA] (NYSE: AP) announced that it has selected J. Brett McBrayer as Chief Executive Officer and Director. McBrayer succeeds the Corporation’s current CEO, John S. Stanik, who announced his impending retirement in October 2017. McBrayer most recently served as President and CEO at Airtex Products and ASC Industries. Before joining Airtex/ASC, McBrayer was Vice President and General Manager of the Alcan Cable business at Rio Tinto Alcan. This position was preceded by his role as Vice President and General Manager of the Specialty Metals Division at Precision Castparts Corporation. McBrayer has also held positions of increasing responsibility and leadership during his 20 years with Alcoa, Inc.
Enhanced Resource Centers [JACKSONVILLE, FL] announced that Marty Sarim, the company’s long-standing President and Chief Operating Officer, will serve as its next Chief Executive Officer. Current CEO and Co-Founder Kirk Moquin will take a new role as Chairman of the Board. Sarim joined ERC in 2010 as President and Chief Operating Officer, after holding the CEO position at a competitor.
PDS [BLUE BELL, PA] announced the retirement of President and Chief Executive Officer Charles Jefferies and the appointment of Patricia Palmer as President and Chief Executive Officer. Palmer is currently the Senior Vice President and Product Manager at PDS. Palmer joined the company in 1984 and has worked in development, consulting services, and sales and marketing roles leading up to her appointment as President and CEO.
Globalfaces Direct Inc. [TORONTO] has named Naseem Saloojee as its new Chief Executive Officer. Saloojee replaces founding CEO Peter Hwang. Hwang will be stepping into a role on GFD’s Board of Directors. Most recently, Saloojee was the Senior-Vice President of Sales and a member of the Executive Team at Top Hat. Previously, Saloojee was a senior leader with global management consultancy McKinsey & Company.
Catalyst OrthoScience Inc. [NAPLES, FL] announced the addition of Brian K. Hutchison to its board of directors as executive chair. Hutchison will also serve as interim chief executive officer of the company until a permanent CEO is in place. Hutchison replaces Robert M. Kaufman, who has served as chairman and CEO of Catalyst OrthoScience since August 2017. Most recently, Hutchison retired after serving 15 years as CEO of RTI Surgical Inc. Before RTI Surgical, Hutchison held various positions at Stryker Corporation, including serving as vice president of worldwide product development and distribution, senior vice president and chief operation officer of the Howmedica Osteonics Division and president of the Stryker Medical Division.
CyberDefenses [AUSTIN, TX] announced that Armando Ordonez has been named Chief Executive Officer. The appointment comes as Randell Casey, founder and former CEO, assumes the role of Chairman of the Board. Previously serving as Chief Operating Officer, Ordonez has been a key contributor to the company’s rapid growth and successful advancement into new markets.
Greenway Health [TAMPA, FL] announced that Richard Atkin will lead the company as its new CEO, replacing Scott Zimmerman, who is leaving to pursue new opportunities. Atkin serves as an operating principal at Vista Equity Partners. Atkin previously served as the president of VCG. Prior to joining VCG, Richard was CEO of Sunquest Information Systems Inc.
UBIX [CHICAGO, IL] announced the appointment of John Shap as Chief Executive Officer. Before joining UBIX, Shap served in leadership roles at Hyperion, DemandTec, SPSS, and MarkLogic.
Simulations Plus, Inc. [LANCASTER, CA] (NASDAQ: SLP) announced that Shawn M. O’Connor will become its chief executive officer effective June 26, 2018. O’Connor recently served as president, chief executive officer and a director of Entelos. Prior to Entelos, O’Connor served as chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Pharsight Corporation.
FireKing® Security Group [NEW ALBANY, INDIANA] announced that Jim Poteet is the company’s new CEO. Poteet was most recently Executive Vice President of Commercial Solutions and joined FKI in February 2016 as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mark Essig, former CEO, will continue to serve on the board of directors.
First Federal Lakewood [LAKEWOOD, OH] announced the appointment of Timothy E. Phillips as president & CEO. Phillips succeeds Thomas J. Fraser, who will now focus exclusively on his role as CEO of First Mutual Holding Co. Phillips most recently served as president of Westfield Bank.
Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] (NASDAQ: VYGR) announced the appointment of G. Andre Turenne as president and chief executive officer, effective July 16, 2018, at which time he will also become a member of the Voyager Board of Directors. Turenne joins Voyager with extensive strategic business development and commercial leadership experience, including nearly 12 years at Genzyme and Sanofi where he most recently served as Sanofi’s senior vice president, global head, business development and licensing responsible for partnering activities across all of Sanofi’s business units. Steven M. Paul Voyager’s outgoing president and chief executive officer, will continue to serve on Voyager’s Board of Directors and as a member of Voyager’s Science & Technology Committee following his retirement as president and chief executive officer, also effective July 16, 2018.
Arbonne International, LLC [IRVINE, CA] has introduced a new Chief Executive Officer, Jean-David Schwartz. Former CEO Kay Zanotti decided to retire after nine years, to spend more time with her family. Schwartz comes to Arbonne from parent company Groupe Rocher, which acquired Arbonne in March of 2018. Schwartz most recently served as the CEO of Yves Rocher North America.
