Workiva [AMES, IA] (NYSE:WK) announces that it has named Martin Vanderploeg as Chief Executive Officer. Vanderploeg continues to serve as President and as a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Former Chairman and CEO Matthew Rizai is resigning from his positions as an officer and director of the company. Vanderploeg has previously served as Workiva’s President and Chief Operating Officer.
Dave and Buster’s, Inc. [DALLAS, TX] (NASDAQ: PLAY) announced the retirement of CEO, Stephen M. King, effective August 5, 2018. King will remain on the board of directors, and continue to serve as Chairman. Brian Jenkins, currently the Chief Financial Officer, will be promoted and become the Company’s new CEO. Jenkins has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since December 2006. Prior to joining D&B, Jenkins spent 10 years at Six Flags, Inc. culminating in serving as Senior Vice President of Finance.
Make-A-Wish America [PHOENIX, AZ] announced that David Williams, president and CEO, will depart the organization later this year. Williams has served as the president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America since 2005.
Cartus Corporation [MADISON, NJ] announced the appointment of Katrina L. Helmkamp as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Helmkamp has been CEO of Lenox Corporation. From 2010 to 2014, Helmkamp was CEO of SVP Worldwide.
CourseCo [PETALUMA, CA] has named Michael Sharp as Chief Executive Officer. Company Founder Tom Isaak becomes CourseCo’s Chairman.Sharp joined CourseCo nearly 15 years ago. Sharp is a PGA professional and partner in CourseCo.
Decisive Data [REDMOND, WA] announced the appointment of Alissa Seiple to the role of CEO. Seiple will succeed current CEO and founder Luke Hartsock, who will stay with Decisive Data as the chairman of the Board of Directors. Previously, Seiple served as a principal of OneAccord Partners, and as CIO of Sovereign Intelligence.
Wi-LAN Inc. [PALO ALTO, CA] announced the appointment of Keaton Parekh as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective July 9, 2018. Prior to Quarterhill, Parekh was Chief Intellectual Property Officer of Lumileds. Prior to Lumileds, Parekh held various senior legal and business roles with SanDisk Corporation, Rovi Corporation, and Tessera Technologies.
All Traffic Solutions [HERNDON, VA] announced that Andy Souders has been named Chief Executive Officer. Former company CEO Jim Weaver maintains an active role as Executive Chairman for ATS. Souders, joined the growing IoT company in 2016 as CTO and SVP of Engineering.
Ports of Indiana [INDIANAPOLIS, IN] announced Vanta E. Coda II has been named as chief executive officer to replace Rich Cooper following his retirement, effective July 1, 2018. Cooper is retiring after 16 years with the Ports of Indiana and will assist the organization with the leadership transition through the end of the year. Coda most recently served as the executive director for the Duluth Seaway Port Authority.
Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. [SAN DIEGO, CA] announced that it has named Ron Coughlin as its new Chief Executive Officer. Coughlin joins the Company from HP Inc., where he served for 11 years, most recently as President of Personal Systems. Previously, Couhglin was SVP of Consumer PCs, SVP of LaserJet Hardware and Commercial Document Services and Solutions, and SVP of Sales, Strategy, and Marketing at HP. Prior to joining HP, Coughlin spent 12 years at PepsiCo in a range of senior executive roles, including Chief Marketing Officer of PepsiCo International Beverages.
Giga Entertainment Media [GARDEN CITY, NY] announced that it has appointed James Massa as Chief Executive Officer. Massa joined Cisco Systems and served for 14 years in a variety of executive positions including responsibility for all commercial operations in the Southeast United States, VP of Federal Operations, VP of Global Space and Defense, VP of Global Government Alliances, and VP and Chief Strategist of Government Govt. Solutions Group.
KYOCERA SENCO Industrial Tools, Inc. [CINCINNATI, OH] announced that President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member Ben Johansen is retiring in July 2018 . Johansen will be succeeded by Clifford Mentrup, the company’s current Chief Operating Officer and Board Member. Mentrup joined SENCO in the fall of 2000.
Smart CommunicationsTM [LONDON and NEW YORK] announced it has appointed James Brown as Chief Executive Officer. George Wright, who previously served as CEO will continue to serve as a Senior Advisor. Most recently, Brown served as an Entrepreneur Advisor at Accel-KKR. Brown Previously served as founder and CEO of Zinc Ahead.
Chart Industries, Inc. [ATLANTA, GA] (NASDAQ: GTLS) announced that it has named Jillian C. Evanko as Chief Executive Officer and President and has elected her to the Board of Directors. Evanko has served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer of Chart since March 2017. Evanko succeeds William C. Johnson who has been terminated without cause, in accordance with his employment contract.
Imara Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced that Rahul D. Ballal has joined as its new Chief Executive Officer. Ballal joined Imara from Northern Biologics and Versant Ventures where he was Chief Business Officer and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence, respectively. Previously, Ballal was Vice President, Business Development at Flexion Therapeutics. Prior to Flexion, he held business development and leadership positions at Novartis Venture Fund; Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard; and Redmind Inc.
Forward Air Corporation [GREENEVILLE, TN] (Nasdaq: FWRD) announced that Thomas (Tom) Schmitt has been elected to serve as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Bruce A. Campbell, who has served as President since 1998 and as Chief Executive Officer since October 2003. Schmitt currently serves as a Management Board member and the Chief Commercial Officer for Schenker AG. Schmitt joined Schenker AG as a member of the Management Board in June 2015.Previously Schmitt served as Chief Executive Officer and President of AquaTerra Corporation.
Critical Alert Systems [JACKSONVILLE, FL] announced that it has appointed John Elms as CEO. Elms joins Critical Alert from Connexall USA where he served as President and CEO for the previous eight years. Prior to Connexall, Elms was president & CEO at Spectralink Corporation.
BNP Paribas [MONTREAL, QC] announced that effective July 1, 2018 it has appointed Sonja Volpe as its new President and Chief Executive Officer for Canada. Sonja Volpe is replacing Monique Vialatou who becomes Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas Switzerland in July 2018. Volpe first joined BNP Paribas in 2015 as Head of Financial Institutions Coverage in Canada. Prior to joining the Bank, Volpe was a Senior Banker at Citibank Canada.
Caringo, Inc. [AUSTIN, TX] announced that the company has appointed Tony Barbagallo as President and Chief Executive Officer. Barbagallo will also become a member of the Caringo Board. Barbagallo succeeds Caringo’s current President and CEO and Co-Founder Jonathan Ring, who expressed to the Board his desire to move into the Chief Technical Officer role., Barbagallo has held a mix of leadership roles at small and large companies, including VP of Marketing and Product Management at Skyera, Clustrix, WildPackets (now Savvius), and EVault, VP of Marketing and Sales at Dantz (acquired by EMC), and senior management positions at Microsoft, Mentor Graphics, Sun, and GE.
Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP [LOS ANGELES] announced that Donna L. Wilson has been elected to succeed Bill Quicksilver as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner. Wilson will assume the leadership role on July 1, 2019, at which time Quicksilver will become Managing Partner Emeritus.
Urban Land Institute [WASHINGTON, DC] announced that W. Edward (Ed) Walter is the new Global Chief Executive Officer. Walter, who joined ULI’s executive team on June 11, has taken the position formerly held by Patrick L. Phillips, who led the Institute for nine years. From 2007 through 2016, Walter served as Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of Host Hotels and Resorts, Inc. Prior to becoming Host’s CEO, Walter served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer for more than four years and served in other executive roles at Host for seven years prior to being named the CFO.
Sabra Dipping Company, LLC [WHITE PLAINS, NY] has named Tomer Harpaz as its Chief Executive Officer. Harpaz replaces Shali Shalit-Shoval who recently returned home to family overseas after five years with the company. For the past four years Harpaz has served as CEO of Strauss Coffee.Prior to joining Strauss Coffee in 2010, Harpaz, served as a member of Strauss Group’s management team and as EVP Strategy, Business Development and Technology.
Adient plc [PLYMOUTH, MI] (NYSE: ADNT) announced it has appointed Frederick A. Henderson interim Chief Executive Officer. Henderson succeeds R. Bruce McDonald, who is stepping down from his role as Chairman and CEO and will remain as an advisor to the CEO until September 30, 2018. Henderson was most recently chief executive officer of SunCoke and, prior to that, served as president and chief executive officer of General Motors.
Datrium [SUNNYVALE, CA] announced the appointment of Tim Page as CEO. Page will replace co-founder Brian Biles in the CEO role. Biles will continue to serve the company as Chief Product Officer. Page joins Datrium from Sprinklr, where he served as COO. Prior to his tenure at Sprinklr, Page was also the COO and a founding member of VCE.
Anworth Mortgage Asset Corporation [SANTA MONICA, CA] (NYSE: ANH) announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Joseph E. McAdams as its Chief Executive Officer effective September 30, 2018. Lloyd McAdams Anworth’s Founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and current Chief Executive Officer will remain Chairman of the Board of the Directors. McAdams has served as Anworth’s President since 2016, its Chief Investment Officer since 2003, and a Director on the Board of Directors since 2002. McAdams will continue to hold those positions.
The Arc Minnesota [ST. PAUL, MN] Kim Keprios has announced her resignation as CEO effective June 15. Keprios joined The Arc Hennepin County in 1982 and became Executive Director in 1986. She became Chief Executive Officer of The Arc Greater Twin Cities in 2006 as metro chapters merged and was named CEO of The Arc Minnesota following the merger of statewide chapters on January 1, 2018.
Hicor Technologies, Inc. [HOUSTON, TX] has announced the appointment of Rob Perry as its Chief Executive Officer. Perry joins Hicor from his most recent role as global Systems Engineering Director at TechnipFMC, and previously as global Director of Subsea Processing at FMC. Prior to his 8 years at TechnipFMC, Perry spent more than 22 years at BP, serving across a variety of technical and commercial roles. His last role at BP was as Vice President of Deepwater Facilities Technology, and he previously led R&D and technology development in the reservoir and wells subsurface disciplines. Perry also led offshore operations for BP’s first deepwater floating production platform in the Gulf of Mexico.
AirXpanders, Inc. [SAN JOSE, CA] (ASX: AXP) announced that it has appointed a new President and CEO, Frank Grillo. Grillo commenced employment on June 12, 2018. Grillo will also be appointed to the Board of Directors. Grillo previously served for ten years in multiple roles with Boston Scientific Corporation, including Vice President, Marketing for its Women’s Health, Urology/Gynecology Division. Grillo was then recruited to Kyphon, where he served as Vice President, Marketing and Business Development. Most recently, Grillo was at MRI Interventions, where he served as President and CEO.
TIAA [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Lori Fouché as Senior Executive Vice President and CEO of Retail & Institutional Financial Services, effective August 7. Fouché is joining TIAA from Prudential Financial, where she was the Head of Individual Solutions. During her five years at Prudential, Fouché also served as CEO of Prudential Group Insurance and President of Prudential Annuities. Prior to Prudential, Fouché served as President and CEO of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company.
Metabolon, Inc. [RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC] announced that John Ryals has retired as its president and chief executive officer, but will remain on the company’s board of directors. Rohan F. Hastie previously chief business officer at Metabolon, has been promoted to the role of president and chief executive officer. Ryals has served as president, CEO and a board member of Metabolon since April 2002, when he co-founded the company. Hastie joined Metabolon in September 2017 as chief business officer. Prior to joining, Hastie was president of Arrow Life Sciences & Healthcare. Hastie also held senior leadership positions in diagnostics and corporate development at Hologic, Inc. and most recently served as president of Hologic Diagnostic Solutions.
PolySync Technologies, Inc. [PORTLAND, OR] announced that it has hired Greg Drew as Chief Executive Officer. Josh Hartung, PolySync founder, will remain on the Board of Directors. Most recently Drew was President and CEO of Avaak, Inc. Drew also served as CEO of SmartDrive Systems, WebTrends, chairman, and CEO of the technology retailer 800 Electronics. Drew currently serves on the board of Ace Metrix.
AppViewX [SEATTLE, WA] announced that Ryan Windham has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Former CEO Anand Purusothaman will continue as Chairman of the Board. Windham was previously CEO at Cedexis. Prior to Cedexis, Windham was VP of Product Management at F5 Networks. Before joining F5 Networks, Windham spent 10 years at Websense where, among other roles, he led Product Development and Cloud Operations for the company’s market-leading Security-as-a-Service platform.
The National Recreation and Park Association’s [ASHBURN, VA] president and CEO Barbara Tulipane has announced her retirement and will be leaving NRPA. Tulipane will remain in her position until the new CEO is onboard.
Aimmune Therapeutics, Inc. [BRISBANE, CA] (Nasdaq:AIMT) announced the appointment of Jayson Dallas as President and Chief Executive Officer. Dallas succeeds Stephen Dilly who announced his planned retirement late last year. Dallas joins Aimmune from Ultragenyx, where he served as the company’s first Chief Commercial Officer. Prior to his work at Ultragenyx, Dallas spent five years with Roche, as General Manager of Roche in the United Kingdom and as head of global commercial strategy groups at Genentech.
