Palo Alto Networks® [SANTA CLARA, CA] (NYSE: PANW) announced that it has named Nikesh Arora as its new chief executive officer and chairman of the Board of Directors. Arora succeeds Mark McLaughlin, who is transitioning to the role of vice chairman of the Board for Palo Alto Networks. Arora formerly served as president and chief operating officer at SoftBank and as chief business officer at Google.
JELD-WEN Holding, Inc. [CHARLOTTE, NC] (NYSE: JELD) announced that it has selected Gary S. Michel as the company’s president and chief executive officer effective June 18, 2018. Michel will also be elected to the board of directors of JELD-WEN. Kirk S. Hachigian, chairman of the board of directors and acting chief executive officer, will continue to serve as chairman. Michel joins JELD-WEN from Honeywell International, Inc., where he was president and chief executive officer of Honeywell’s Home and Building Technologies strategic business group. Previously, Michel had a distinguished 32-year career at Ingersoll-Rand Company, most recently serving as senior vice president and president Residential HVAC and Supply. Michel also led Ingersoll-Rand’s Club Car, Construction Technologies, Road Development, and Utility Equipment businesses.
Smith-Midland Corporation [MIDLAND, VA] (OTCQX: SMID) announced the appointment of Ashley B. Smith as Chief Executive Officer, effective May 24, 2018, replacing Rodney I. Smith, who will remain as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Ashley Smith, son of Chairman Rodney Smith, began his full-time career with the Company 33 years ago in the Sales and Marketing Department. Ashley ran the licensing division, EASI-SET Worldwide, from 1988-1991. Transferring back to Smith-Midland as Vice President of Sales, he rose to become President and COO in 2008.
Exponent, Inc. [MENLO PARK, CA] (NASDAQ: EXPO) announced that it appointed Catherine Corrigan as its Chief Executive Officer and President, and Paul R. Johnston as its Executive Chairman at its Board meeting on May 31, 2018. Corrigan joined Exponent 21 years ago and has assumed increasingly responsible positions over time, most recently as President. Corrigan was previously Group Vice President of the Transportation Group and joined the Company’s Operating Committee in 2012.
Land O’Lakes, Inc. [ARDEN HILLS, MN]announced today that Chris Policinski will retire as Land O’Lakes President and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 30, 2018. Policinski was appointed President and CEO of the Fortune 216 farmer-owned cooperative in 2005. In addition to forming a search committee to identify a permanent CEO, the board has appointed Peter Janzen as interim CEO to ensure a smooth transition and continued execution of the company’s business plans. Janzen, Land O’Lakes, SVP, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer, will postpone his recently announced retirement to serve the company until the new CEO has been named. Janzen has been with the company for his entire career, joining Land O’Lakes, Inc. in 1983.
Axcella Health [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced the appointment of William (Bill) Hinshaw as President and Chief Executive Officer. Hinshaw is a highly accomplished health care executive with nearly three decades of global pharmaceutical experience and was most recently Executive Vice President and Head of U.S. Oncology at Novartis. Prior to Axcella, Hinshaw led all aspects of Novartis’ U.S. Oncology business.
Sierra Wireless [VANCOUVER, BC] (NASDAQ: SWIR) announced that Jason Cohenour will retire from his position as President and Chief Executive Officer and will be stepping down as a Director of the Company. Kent Thexton, Chair of Sierra’s Board of Directors, has been named Interim Chief Executive Officer and the Board has initiated a search for a new CEO. Cohenour will continue to serve as an advisor to Thexton and the Company until June 30.
Varick [NEW YORK] announced that it has welcomed Paul Dolan as its first ever Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Dolan launched Light Reaction and served as its global General Manager across 25 countries. Prior to Light Reaction Dolan was a key member of the founding team at GroupM’s Xaxis.
Destination Maternity Corporation [MOORESTOWN, NJ] (NASDAQ: DEST) announced that the Company has appointed Marla. A. Ryan to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Ryan replaces Melissa Payner-Gregor, who served as an interim CEO since January 2018 and director of the Company since August 2009. Ryan is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lola Advisors LLC. Prior to founding Lola Advisors LLC, Ryan was employed by Lands’ End from 2009 through 2017, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Retail.
Parvus Therapeutics [BURLINGAME, CA] announced the appointment of Curtis Ruegg as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining Parvus, Ruegg held leadership positions at Revance, including as Executive Vice President, Technical Operations. Previously, Ruegg was Senior Vice President, Technical Operations at Cotherix.
Adspace [NEW YORK] announces the appointment of Greg Glenday as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Adspace, Glenday was the Chief Revenue Officer of Shazam. Glenday also served as the Chief Revenue Officer at Undertone. Prior to Undertone, Glenday spent nearly 20 years at iHeartMedia, most recently as President of the Connections division.
Stock Yards Bancorp, Inc. [LOUISVILLE, KY] (NASDAQ: SYBT) announced that James A. (Ja) Hillebrand will become Chief Executive Officer of the Company effective October 1, 2018. Hillebrand currently serves as President of the Company and the Bank and has served on the Company’s Board of Directors since 2008. Hillebrand succeeds David P. Heintzman, who will retire as Chief Executive Officer and move into the role of Executive Chairman of the Board through the end of 2018 and will continue as its Chairman thereafter. Hillebrand joined the Company in 1996 to develop its Private Banking Group. Hillebrand served as Executive Vice President and Director of Private Banking.
Brown-Forman Corporation [LOUISVILLE, KY] (NYSE: BFA) announced that after a distinguished 31 years of service at the company, Chief Executive Officer Paul C. Varga has decided to retire, effective December 31, 2018. Varga will be succeeded by Lawson E. Whiting. Whiting is a 21-year veteran of the company who currently serves as EVP and Chief Operating Officer. Whiting began his career with the company in corporate development and investor relations. Prior to his current role, Whiting served as EVP and Chief Brands and Strategy Officer (2015 to 2017). Previously he was SVP and Chief Brands Officer (2013 to 2015) and SVP and Managing Director for Western Europe (2011 to 2013).
Stratasys Ltd. [MINNEAPOLIS, MN] (NASDAQ: SSYS) announced that Ilan Levin has decided to step down from his positions as Chief Executive Officer and Director. Elchanan (Elan) Jaglom, the Company’s current Chairman of the Board, will serve as CEO until a successor is appointed.
Integrated Medical Health Solutions [WEST PALM BEACH, FL] has named Lori Daugherty as its Chief Executive Officer effective May 14, 2018. Daugherty has served in senior leadership positions for a number of prominent industry organizations; including One Call Comprehensive Care, Working/Rx, Inc., Pharmerica, Inc., Care Service, LLC, and Tampa, Florida-based PMSI.
KAILO Energy [LINDON, UT] announced that Ryan D. Shepherd has been promoted from President to Chief Executive Officer of KAILO. Shepherd will replace Vaughn R Cook. Cook will retain his role as Chairman of the Board for KAILO Energy and will refocus his efforts as CEO and Chairman of Global Unicorn Holdings, Inc., the parent company for KAILO.
Violet Defense Group LLC [ORLANDO, FL] announced that Terrance Berland has officially been named as the new Chief Executive Officer. Berland, who has served as Chief Operating Officer for the past year will succeed Mark Nathan, Violet Defense’s founding Chief Executive Officer. Nathan will remain as Chairman of the Board and will continue to be involved with the company as Chief Science Officer. Berland is also a managing partner of Kirenaga Partners. It was through Kirenaga’s investment in Violet Defense that Berland came to serve as COO for Violet Defense, and now as CEO. Prior to joining Kirenaga and Violet Defense, Berland was a Partner in McKinsey’s healthcare and operational practices.
Crescent Point Energy Corp. [CALGARY, AB] (NYSE: CPG) and Scott Saxberg are pleased to announce that Craig Bryksa has taken over as interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Point. As part of the transition, Bryksa has also replaced Saxberg on the Board as a Director of the Company. Bryksa is formerly Vice President, Engineering West with Crescent Point. Most recently, Bryksa was responsible for overseeing the operating activities for the Company’s Shaunavon, Uinta Basin, North Dakota, Viking, Swan Hills.
Green Flash Brewing Company [SAN DIEGO, CA] announced that Michael Taylor has been appointed CEO. Green Flash’s founder, Mike Hinkley, will continue to play an active role on the leadership team serving on the company’s board of managers. Prior to joining Green Flash, Taylor worked at Anheuser-Busch Companies where he served in various senior management positions during his 14-year tenure with the company. Most recently, Taylor was vice president of non-alcohol, leading all commercial and business operations for the Hiball Energy and Alta Palla brands. Prior to that, Taylor was vice president of M&A.
Arcturus Therapeutics Ltd. [SAN DIEGO, CA] (NASDAQ: ARCT) announced that Peter Farrell has been named as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company. Joseph E. Payne has been reinstated as President and CEO.
The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce [LOS ANGELES] announced the appointment of Maria Salinas as the Chamber’s new President and CEO, effective August 1, 2018. Salinas will be the first female leader in the organization’s history. Current President and CEO Gary Toebben will retire on July 1 after leading the Chamber for 12 years. Salinas is currently the President and Founder of Salinas Consulting, a finance and accounting project management firm. Prior to launching her business in 2006, Salinas held financial leadership roles at The Walt Disney Company for nearly 11 years.
Raising A Reader [REDWOOD CITY, CA] has appointed Michelle Torgerson as its president and CEO. Torgerson will officially assume her new role June 11, 2018. Erica Wood, chief community impact officer for Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF), has been serving as interim president and CEO since the departure of Gabrielle Miller who led the organization for the past 10 years. Wood will be returning to her position at SVCF. Previously Torgerson was senior executive director of Reading Partners.
360 Group International, Inc. [BEVERLY HILLS, CA] announced that Lorenzo Robert Savage III, has been named CEO of the company. Bill Kirkpatrick, founder of 360 Group and former CEO, will remain President of the firm. Savage most recently served as Special Agent in Charge of the Los Angeles Field Office after being appointed to the Senior Executive Service.
ClubCorp [DALLAS] announced that David Pillsbury will join the company as Chief Executive Officer. Pillsbury started his golf career at American Golf Corporation (AGC) where he gained experience in all aspects of golf operations and ultimately became Co-CEO. At AGC, Pillsbury led multiple innovations including the formation of American Golf Country Clubs, the Private Club Member Platinum Program, the Nike Golf Learning Centers, centralized tee time reservations, and much more. After American Golf, Pillsbury became General Manager of Nike Golf, responsible for all US operations, marketing and sales. Following Nike Golf, Pillsbury was President of PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties Tournament Players Clubs (TPC’s), and he was then promoted to President of PGA TOUR Championship Management including THE PLAYERS, and EVP of PGA TOUR Tournament Business Affairs. Most recently, Pillsbury held CEO roles outside of golf in both the healthcare and consumer products industries.
Sorenson Media [SALT LAKE CITY, UT] announced the appointment of Pat Nola, formerly the company’s chief operating officer, as CEO. A proven business leader in directing high-growth companies, Nola originally joined Sorenson Media in 2000, eventually becoming president and CEO of Sorenson Communications, a spin-off company that is the leading communications provider for the deaf. While at Sorenson Communications, Nola also founded CaptionCall, the top phone captioning system in the industry, also serving as president and CEO. He returned to Sorenson Media as COO in April 2016.
Affiliated Managers Group, Inc. [WEST PALM BEACH, FL] (NYSE: AMG) announced that Nathaniel Dalton is succeeding Sean M. Healey as Chief Executive Officer and has been appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors. Healey becomes Executive Chairman. Dalton has been Chief Operating Officer of AMG since 2006, and was named President in 2011.
