The Carlstar Group [FRANKLIN, TN] announced the appointment of Jacob Thomas as Chief Executive Officer, and Board member. Thomas will succeed John Salvatore, who will retire at the end of May after serving as CEO with the business since 2015. Salvatore will remain on the Carlstar Board and will be a Key Senior advisor to AIP. Prior to joining Carlstar, Thomas was Group President of CLARCOR’s Engine Mobile Filtration business. Prior to CLARCOR, Thomas served as the President of the Diaphragm and Dosing Pumps Group of IDEX Corporation. Before that, he spent seven years in executive roles for Terex Corporation, including as the President of Terex Latin America.
Park-Ohio Holdings Corp. [CLEVELAND, OH] announced that the Company has selected Matthew V. Crawford Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Edward F. Crawford was elected President and will remain as a member of the Board of Directors. Matthew Crawford has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Holdings and its operating subsidiary, Park-Ohio Industries, Inc., since 2003 and as a director since 1997.
AEGEA Medical, Inc. [REDWOOD CITY, CA] announced today that Maria Sainz has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Don Gurskis, the Company’s CEO since 2013, will remain an integral member of the executive management team. Most recently, Sainz was President and CEO of Cardiokinetix. Prior to Cardiokinetix, Sainz was President and CEO of Concentric Medical.
DataPath, Inc. [ATLANTA, GA] announced the appointment of Sherin Kamal as the company’s new President and CEO, effective June 11th, 2018. Kamal most recently served as Chief Engineer and Senior Director of Technical Services at SAIC. Prior to his 10-plus years at SAIC, Kamal served as Founder and CEO, Senior Vice President and General Manager, and Vice President of Engineering at advanced networking technology companies.
Viveve Medical, Inc. [ENGLEWOOD, CO] (NASDAQ: VIVE) announced that Scott Durbin has been appointed as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Durbin’s appointment follows Patricia Scheller’s decision to step down from her position as Chief Executive Officer to pursue other personal and business opportunities. Scheller will remain on the Viveve Board of Directors. Durbin was the company’s former Chief Financial Officer and will also join the Board of Directors.
Monster [WESTON, MA] announced that Scott Gutz will be joining as Chief Executive Officer to lead the company’s ongoing commitment to transform the recruitment business and bring humanity back to the job market, effective July 2, 2018. Most recently, Gutz was Chief Executive Officer of Amadeus North America, Inc. Prior to this, Gutz was Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of e-Commerce for the company; before that, he was Chief Executive Officer of e-Travel, Inc.
Tyler Technologies, Inc. [PLANO, TX] (NYSE: TYL) announced that it has appointed Tyler’s president, H. Lynn Moore Jr., as chief executive officer. John S. Marr Jr. assumes the role of executive chairman and will continue to serve as the chairman of Tyler’s board.
Semma Therapeutics, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced the appointment of Bastiano Sanna as Chief Executive Officer and President. Sanna will succeed Elizabeth Stoner who has been serving as the Interim CEO and will remain as an advisor to the Company. Sanna joins Semma from Magenta Therapeutics, where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Magenta, Sanna served in the leadership team of Novartis’ Cell and Gene Therapy Unit as the Global Program Head of Stem Cell Transplant and early programs.
Ellison Educational Equipment, Inc. [LAKE FOREST, CA] announced Richard Birse as its new Chief Executive Officer, and the elevation of current Chief Executive Officer Kristin Highberg to the Company’s Global Board of Directors. Birse currently serves as Ellison’s current Managing Director for Europe and Global Markets.
Model N, Inc. [SAN MATEO, CA] (NYSE: MODN) announced that Jason Blessing will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer and will join the company’s Board of Directors, succeeding Founder and interim CEO Zack Rinat. Rinat has also resigned from the board, and will become a strategic advisor to the company. Blessing was most recently the CEO of Plex Systems. Prior to Plex, Blessing held a number of executive positions at Taleo.
Norsk Titanium AS [PLATTSBURGH, NY] announced that Michael J. Canario will join the company as President and Chief Executive Officer. Canario currently serves as President – Aerospace, Americas & Corporate Business Development for Hexcel. Prior to Hexcel, Canario spent eight years with predecessor companies Ciba-Geigy and BP Chemicals.
Horizon Global Corporation [TROY, MI] (NYSE: HZN) announced that it appointed Carl Bizon to serve as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer. The appointment follows the Board’s acceptance of Mark Zeffiro’s resignation from his executive positions and as a director. Bizon joined Horizon Global in January 2018 as President of Horizon Americas. Prior to Horizon Global’s spin-off from its former parent company, TriMas Corporation, Bizon led its international businesses from 2008 to 2015, including both Europe-Africa and Asia-Pacific. Before re-joining the Company, Bizon served as Chief Executive Officer at Jayco Corporation.
Atkore International Group Inc. [HARVEY, IL] (NYSE: ATKR) announced that John Williamson, President and Chief Executive Officer, will retire at the end of Atkore’s fiscal year on September 30, 2018. William (“Bill”) Waltz is appointed Atkore President and Chief Operating Officer, reporting to Williamson. Waltz will succeed Williamson as Atkore President and Chief Executive Officer upon his retirement. Waltz is expected to be appointed to the board at the time of succession. Most recently, Waltz served as the Company’s Vice President and Group President-Electrical Raceway, a position he continues to hold during this transition. Waltz was promoted to this position in September 2017. Previously, Waltz was the President of the Conduit and Fittings business unit, a position he held since September 2015, after joining Atkore as President-Plastic Pipe and Conduit in 2013.
SolutionHealth [NASHUA, NH] announced today that its has named Sherry Hausmann as President and Chief Executive Officer. Hausmann comes to SolutionHealth from Via Christi Health in Wichita, Kansas, where she served as Regional Hospital President since July 2014. Hausmann will be joining SolutionHealth in July after serving as Regional Hospital President for Via Christi Health. Prior to Via Christi, Sherry spent more than 12 years at SSM Healthcare, based in St. Louis, MO, advancing through Hausmann series of leadership and executive roles that culminated in her being appointed President of St. Clare Health Center, and has previously served as president of SSM St. Joseph of Kirkwood and Chief Operating Officer of SSM DePaul Health Center.
Amplify Energy Corp. [HOUSTON] (OTCQX: AMPY) announced that the Company has appointed Kenneth Mariani to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company effective May 14, 2018. Mariani most recently served as the President of EnerVest from January 2014 through December 2017. Prior to that, Mariani served as Executive Vice President of EnerVest and President and Chief Executive Officer of EnerVest Operating Company from January 2012 to January 2014. Mariani joined EnerVest in 2000 and was Senior Vice President and General Manager – Eastern Division for 11 years. Prior to joining EnerVest, from 1991 to 2000, he served as Vice President of Operations for Energy Corporation of America.
California BanCorp [OAKLAND, CA] (OTCQX: CALB), the Holding Company for California Bank of Commerce, announced the promotion of Steven Shelton to President and Chief Executive Officer, replacing Terry Peterson. Shelton was a founder of California Bank of Commerce and has served as an Executive Vice President of the Bank since 2007. Previously, Shelton served for thirteen years in various executive management positions, including President, of CivicBank of Commerce.
EP Wealth Advisors, LLC [TORRANCE, CA] has named Patrick G. Goshtigian President and Chief Executive Officer. Previously, Goshtigian served as President. Prior to joining EP Wealth, Goshtigian was head of Nuveen Global Operations in Chicago. Goshtigian was also a Managing Director and head of Institutional Operations and Administration for Nuveen Investments Institutional Services Group and held various other roles at NWQ Investment Management Company.
BioDelivery Sciences International, Inc. [RALEIGH, NC] (NASDAQ: BDSI) announced that Herm Cukier has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Former President and Chief Executive Officer, Mark A. Sirgo, will continue his role as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Cukier was most recently a Senior Vice President at Allergan plc, where his roles included being the head of its Eye Care Division and the Head of its Women’s Healthcare Division.
Monsanto Company [ST. LOUIS, MO] (NYSE: MON) announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Hugh Grant announced his intent to leave Monsanto at the closing of the acquisition of Monsanto by Bayer AG. Grant will maintain his position as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until closing.
T1D Exchange [BOSTON, MA] announced that CEO and co-founder Dana Ball will step down from his day-to-day leadership of the organization and focus on his role as a member of the Board of Directors. Ball will continue to serve as CEO until a replacement is named.
Sharp Electronics Corporation [MONTVALE, NJ] announces that Mike Marusic has been named President and CEO, effective June 4, 2018, replacing Doug Albregts who has resigned from Sharp to pursue a new opportunity. Marusic joined Sharp in 2002 as Associate Vice President of Marketing.
Kepner-Tregoe [PRINCETON, NJ] has promoted veteran Chief Operating Officer Bill Baldwin to the Chief Executive Officer position. Baldwin joined Kepner-Tregoe in 1997 and was named to the Board of Directors in 2002 upon becoming Chief Financial Officer and he has served as board secretary for the last decade.
Washing Systems, LLC [LOVELAND, OH] announced that it has named former PolyOne executive Craig Nikrant as Chief Executive Officer. Nikrant succeeds Terry Shoreman, who is pursuing his planned retirement after 18 years of service at WSI and over four decades in the commercial laundry industry. Prior to joining WSI, Nikrant served as president of PolyOne’s Specialty Engineered Materials business. Previously, Nikrant spent 17 years at General Electric.
Univar Inc. [DOWNERS GROVE, IL] (NYSE: UNVR) announced that it has appointed David Jukes as the Company’s president and CEO as well as to its board of directors, effective May 9, 2018. Jukes succeeds Stephen D. Newlin who was appointed Executive Chairman of Univar’s board of directors. Since joining Univar in 2002, Jukes was named president of Univar EMEA in 2011, and then president of Univar USA and Latin America in 2016. In May of 2017, Jukes was promoted to president and COO of Univar Inc. Prior to joining Univar, Jukes was the senior vice president of global sales, marketing and industry relations for Omnexus.
Tupperware Brands [ORLANDO, FL] announced Patricia (Tricia) A. Stitzel assumes the role as President and Chief Executive Officer and joins the Company’s Board of Directors. In the Company’s 70-plus years of history, Stitzel now becomes the first female CEO. Former CEO Rick Goings will now serve as Executive Chairman. Stitzel has served as the Company’s President and Chief Operating Officer since October 2016. Prior to this role, Stitzel served as Group President, Americas, and in leadership positions of increasing responsibility in Europe and the United States since joining the Company in 1997.
Bsquare [BELLEVUE, WA] (NASDAQ: BSQR) announced that president and CEO Jerry Chase is stepping down to pursue other opportunities. Chase will also be stepping down from his board seat. Going forward, Kevin Walsh will serve as acting CEO while continuing to oversee marketing and corporate strategy. Walsh joined Bsquare in July, 2015 as vice president of marketing.
KINEX USA [NEW ORLEANS] announced the appointment of Bobby Shah as CEO effective May 1, 2018. Shah has been uniquely involved in the development of the KINEX USA Platform, Products and Services for the past several months.
Ayuda Media Systems Inc. [AUSTIN, TX] announced that Andreas Soupliotis, Founding CEO since the company’s inception 15 years ago, will be moving to the role of Vice-Chairman of Ayuda, while the current President Luc Filiatreault has been promoted to CEO. Soupliotis will continue to advise the company on strategy from his board seat.
Cicis [IRVING, TX] has named William M. “Bill” Mitchell as its new CEO. Mitchell has been interim CEO since January and was named to the post permanently in March. Mitchell succeeds Darin Harris, who stepped down as CEO in January to pursue other opportunities. Mitchell will also serve on Cicis’ board of directors. Before joining Cicis, Mitchell most recently served as president of Dunkin’ Brands International at Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. and Dunkin’ Donuts LLC.
Nosto [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of a new CEO, Jim Lofgren. Lofgren will replace Matti Rönkkö, who has served as CEO of Nosto for the past five years and announced his intent to leave for personal reasons at the end of last year. Lofgren has most recently served as the North American CEO of Klarna. Lofgren will begin his new role on June 4th and be based in New York.
iinside [ANAHEIM, CA] announced that Sam Kamel has been named President and CEO by the company’s Board of Directors. Kamel, a current Board of Directors member for iinside, will replace Carlos Hernandez-Artigas, who remains on the Board.
CureVac AG [BOSTON, MA] announced that Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Ingmar Hoerr, intends to transition from his current CEO position to the Supervisory Board at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on June 20, 2018. Daniel L. Menichella, currently Chief Business Officer and Chief Executive Officer of CureVac AG and CEO of CureVac’s U.S. subsidiary, will be appointed as Chief Executive Officer of CureVac AG effective on June 20, 2018.
Pharmaceutical Care Management Association [WASHINGTON, DC] announced that after 15 years at the helm CEO and President Mark Merritt is stepping down, effective at year-end.
Longbow Advantage, Inc. [MONTREAL, QC] has announced Alex Wakefield, previously Chief Commercial Officer at Longbow, will serve as the new Chief Executive Officer as outgoing CEO, Gerry Brady, moves into the role of Chief Innovator. Wakefield joined Longbow in 2016 and has been instrumental in the recent expansion.
Caveman Foods [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that it has appointed Jeff Hansberry as President and CEO. Most recently, Hansberry served as the President and Chief Commercial Officer at Advantage Solutions. Prior to Advantage, Hansberry served in a number of senior executive roles at Starbucks between 2010 and 2016, first as President of Global Channel Development, then as President of Asia Pacific and finally as the President of Evolution Fresh.
