FedEx Freight [MEMPHIS, TN] announced that John A. Smith has been named President and CEO effective August 16, 2018. Smith currently serves as Senior Vice President of Operations at FedEx Freight. Smith will succeed Michael L. Ducker, whose pending retirement was announced earlier this month. Smith joined FedEx in 2000. His experience spans every area of the business, including operations, sales, transportation, fleet maintenance, facility services and safety. Along with being responsible for the leadership and direction of FedEx Freight, he will also serve on the Strategic Management Committee of FedEx Corporation.
Cupertino Electric, Inc. [SAN JOSE, CA] announced that former Chief Operating Officer Tom Schott has been promoted to president and chief executive officer. Schott has been with the company for 24 years and remains as a member of the company’s Board of Directors. In his new role, Schott replaces John Boncher, who has resigned from the company for personal reasons.
Adverum Biotechnologies, Inc. [MENLO PARK, CA] (Nasdaq: ADVM) announced that the board of directors and Amber Salzman, president and chief executive officer and director, made a mutual determination that Salzman step down from these roles. Leone Patterson, senior vice president and chief financial officer, has been appointed interim president and chief executive officer of Adverum. Leone Patterson joined Adverum in June 2016 as chief financial officer and became senior vice president and chief financial officer in February 2018. Previously, Patterson served as the chief financial officer of Diadexus from 2015 to 2016. Earlier, Patterson was vice president and chief financial officer of Transcept Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2012 until the company was acquired by Paratek Pharmaceuticals Inc. in October 2014.
Gemphire Therapeutics Inc. [LIVONIA, MI] (NASDAQ: GEMP) announced the appointment of Steven Gullans as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Gullans has been Interim President and Chief Executive Officer since May 2017. Gullans has served on the Gemphire Therapeutics’ board of directors since April 2016. Gullans has also been Managing Director at Excel Venture Management which he co-founded in 2008.
46 Labs LLC [AUSTIN, TX] announced the appointment of Chris Griffin as CEO for their Peeredge brand. As a seasoned business leader, Griffin has previously held multiple executive leadership positions including Vice President of Business Development, Executive Vice President, President, and Advisory Board Chairman for top communications companies including Digital Connect, Qwest, StarView Solutions, One Source Networks and West Corporation. Chris’ telecom expertise includes SaaS, UCaaS, MPLS, International, DIA, VoIP and SIP technologies.
American Home Shield [MEMPHIS, TN] announced the appointment of Rex Tibbens as president and chief executive officer, effective May 15, 2018. Tibbens is a former chief operating officer of Lyft. Previously, Tibbens served as a vice president at Amazon. Before Amazon, Tibbens spent twelve years at Dell, serving in a variety of operations and logistics roles, including executive director of Global Services.
C4 Therapeutics [WATERTOWN, MA] announced that Andrew Phillips has been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer. Phillips has been leading C4T’s scientific efforts as Chief Scientific Officer since January 2016 and assumed corporate leadership responsibilities with his added appointment as President in September 2016. Prior to joining C4T, Phillips served as Senior Director for the Center for Development of Therapeutics at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Previously, Phillips was a Full Professor of Chemistry at Yale University.
Scientific Games Corporation [LAS VEGAS, NV] (NASDAQ: SGMS) announced that Barry Cottle, currently Chief Executive Officer of SG Interactive, will become the Company’s new President and CEO, effective June 1, 2018. Cottle will replace current President and CEO Kevin Sheehan who will remain with the company as a senior advisor. Cottle joined Scientific Games as Chief Executive, SG Interactive, in August 2015. Before Scientific Games, Cottle served as Vice Chairman of Deluxe Entertainment. Prior to that, Cottle has held Executive Leadership roles at Zynga, Electronic Arts Inc., The Walt Disney Company and Palm Computing, Inc.
Rosehill Resources Inc. [HOUSTON] (NASDAQ: ROSE) announced that J.A. (Alan) Townsend, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rosehill and its sole subsidiary Rosehill Operating Company, LLC, informed the Rosehill Board of Directors of his intention to retire following more than 45 years working in the oil and gas industry and 16 years of service to the Company. Townsend also indicated his intention to step down from his position as a Director of the Company. Townsend will serve in his capacity as Director, President and Chief Executive Officer while the Company searches for his replacement.
Coriant [NAPERVILLE, IL] announced the appointment of Pat DiPietro as Chief Executive Officer. DiPietro will continue to serve as Vice Chairman of the Board, a role he has held since the founding of Coriant in 2013. DiPietro replaces CEO and Chairman Shaygan Kheradpir, who has stepped down from his role to pursue other opportunities. DiPietro has held executive management and R&D roles in leading telecommunications and technology companies, including senior leadership roles at Nortel and Bell Northern Research. DiPietro previously served as Managing Partner at Canada’s VG Partners.
Sprint Corp [OVERLAND PARK, KS] (NYSE: S) announced that it has elevated Marcelo Claure to Executive Chairman, and appointed Michel Combes to the role of Chief Executive Officer. Claure, who has served as CEO since 2014, will remain a part of the Sprint senior management team. Combes is currently President and CFO of Sprint and a member of the Sprint Board of Directors. Prior to joining Sprint in January 2018, Combes was CEO – and previously chief operating officer – of Altice, as well as chairman and CEO of SFR Group and CEO of Alcatel-Lucent. Previously, Combes has served as CEO of Vodafone Europe, chairman and CEO of TDF Group, as well as chief financial officer and senior executive vice president of France Telecom.
Endologix, Inc. [IRVINE, CA] (Nasdaq: ELGX) announced that it has appointed John Onopchenko as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. Onopchenko has served as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer since October 2017. Before joining Endologix, Onopchenko was Executive Vice President for Acutus Medical. Prior to that, Onopchenko served on the Board of Directors of Volcano Corporation and later became the company’s Executive Vice President / Chief Operating Officer.
Vena Solutions [TORONTO] announced the appointment of chief operations officer Shawn Cadeau to the role of CEO, effective June 1, 2018. Cadeau will replace current CEO and co-founder Don Mal, who will stay on with Vena in the capacity of ambassador and advisor. Cadeau joined Vena as chief revenue officer in January 2017. Prior to Vena, Cadeau was chief marketing officer at FreshBooks and senior vice president of global marketing at Corel Corporation.
Teton Waters Ranch [DENVER, CO] has named Mike Murray as Chief Executive Officer. Murray was most recently CEO of the allergy-friendly snack brand, free2b Foods. Previously, Murray led the plant-based brand, So Delicious Dairy Free, now part of Danone N.A., and spent 10 years with General Mills, successfully growing several iconic brands, including Betty Crocker, Nature Valley and LARABAR.
FordDirect [DEARBORN, MI] announced the appointment of Dianne Craig as chief executive officer, effective May 1, 2018. Craig joins FordDirect with more than 30 years of experience in automotive sales and marketing, most recently serving as Ford Motor Company’s director of U.S. sales. Craig also has served as president and CEO of Ford of Canada.
Amplify Energy Corp. [HOUSTON] (OTCQX: AMPY) announced the retirement of its President and Chief Executive Officer, William J. Scarff. Scarff will continue to serve as a member of the Company’s board of directors.
Ryan Companies US, Inc. [MINNEAPOLIS, MN] announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Pat Ryan will step aside from his current duties effective June 1st to become chairman of the company’s board of directors. Brian Murray will assume the CEO position. Murray joined the company in 2009 and is currently the chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
Frequency Electronics, Inc. [MITCHEL FIELD, NY] (NASDAQ: FEIM) announced that it has selected Stanton D Sloane to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer. Martin Bloch, founder of the company has been elected Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, also effective May 1, 2018. In addition, Mr. Bloch will continue to serve as Chief Scientist. Jonathan Brolin has been elected Lead Independent Director. Joel Girsky will serve as Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee going forward.
American Diabetes Association® [ARLINGTON, VA] announced the appointment of Tracey D. Brown as Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2018. Brown joins the ADA from Sam’s Club, a division of Walmart, Inc., where she currently serves as Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief Experience Officer. Brown succeeds Martha Parry Clark who has served as the ADA’s Interim CEO since April 2017. Clark leaves her role as Interim CEO on May 31, 2018 and returns to her seat on the ADA’s Board of Directors.
HealthTap [PALO ALTO, CA] announced that Bill Gossman has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Gossman, a tenured leader with deep experience in enterprise software, consumer internet and mobile applications, has also been elected to the Board of Directors. Gossman replaces Ron Gutman as President, CEO and member of the Board.
Aloha Poke Co. [CHIACAGO, IL] announced that Chris Birkinshaw has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Birkinshaw joins Aloha Poke following six years in successive senior management positions at Potbelly Sandwich Works.
4M Carbon Fiber Corp. [KNOXVILLE, TN] announced that Rob Klawonn has joined the Company as Chief Executive Officer. Klawonn assumes the role of CEO, succeeding Josh Kimmel, who has held the position for a year. Kimmel will continue to serve as the Company’s President and will also be on the corporation’s board of directors. For the past 10 years Klawonn has been President of Teijin Carbon America and since 2015, he has also been President of Diversified Structural Composites, a Teijin subsidiary.
AmWINS Group, Inc. [CHARLOTTE, NC] announced that Scott M. Purviance has succeeded M. Steven DeCarlo as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Prior to taking on his role as Chief Operating Officer, Purviance served as Chief Financial Officer from 2001-2016 and he was elected to the Board of Directors in November 2016.
Intrepid USA Healthcare Services [DALLAS, TX] announced it has appointed John M. Kunysz, Jr. as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to leading Intrepid USA, Kunysz served as Founder, President and CEO of PatientARTx, LLC and was previously the Co-Founder, President and CEO for IntelliHARTX, LLC. Kunysz was also President and CEO of IntelliTX Inc.
MTY Food Group Inc. [MONTREAL, QC] (TSX: MTY) announced that its founder Stanley Ma has indicated to the board of directors he will be stepping down as Chief Executive Officer of the Company effective November 2nd, 2018. Ma will retain his role as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company and Eric Lefebvre will become the chief executive officer of the Company. Lefebvre joined the Company in 2009 as Vice President and Controller and is currently serving as the CFO.
Le Duff America [DALLAS, TX] announced the appointment of Lionel Ladouceur as CEO. Lionel Ladouceur will replace Olivier Poirot, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. Ladouceur started his career with McDonald’s in Canada and France. Ladouceur then spent seven years with Burger King in charge of operations for Continental Europe. He returned to Canada where he became CEO of Bridor Inc. and Brioche Dorée in Canada and the Northeast U.S. From 2001 to 2007 Ladouceur was CEO of the restaurant division of Auchan Groupe and has spent the last eight years as CEO and minority shareholder of Simport Scientific.
Airgain, Inc. [SAN DIEGO, CA] (NASDAQ: AIRG) announced the departure of the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer Chuck Myers. Airgain Chairman James K. Sims will assume the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer as the company searches for a new permanent CEO.
John Marshall Bank [RESTON, VA] announced the appointment of Christopher “Chris” W. Bergstrom as President and Chief Executive Officer. Bergstrom held a variety of executive positions during his 19 years with Cardinal Financial and Cardinal Bank, serving as President and Chief Executive Officer before United Bank’s acquisition of Cardinal Bank in April 2017. Bergstrom was United Bank’s President for the past year before joining John Marshall Bank.
Boom Learning [KIRKLAND, WA] has named Stuart Moulder as Chief Executive. With Moulder taking on the Chief Executive role, Eric Oemig will retain his position as Chairman and will focus on platform development as the company’s Chief Technology Officer.
LUX Fund Technology and Solutions [NEW YORK] announced that Jeremey Siegel will join the company as CEO. Siegel will replace Nik Takmopoulos, a founder of the firm, who will become President. Siegel joins LUX from Credit Suisse where he was a Managing Director in the Global Markets division and Global Head of the Prime Consulting team. Siegel previously worked at Eze Castle Integration, Morgan Stanley and American Express.
DSI Holdings [DOWNERS GROVE, IL] announced the appointment of Jim Boccher as their new President and CEO, and will succeed Kim Brooks, who will stay on with the business as Executive Vice President of Development. Boccher has been part of the DSI team for 5 years, serving as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for the ServiceMaster DSI Restore and SRM brands. Prior to joining DSI, Boccher served as Vice President of Commercial Sales for the ServiceMaster Restore and SRM brands.
Nature’s Sunshine Products [LEHI, UT] (Nasdaq: NATR) announced that Gregory L. Probert, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will retire as CEO after transitioning his responsibilities to a successor to be identified by the Board of Directors. Upon transitioning his responsibilities to his successor, Probert will continue to serve as Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors.
Five9, Inc. [SAN RAMON, CA] (NASDAQ: FIVN) announced that it has appointed Rowan Trollope as CEO. Trollope was formerly SVP & General Manager of Cisco’s Applications Group. Mike Burkland, who transitioned from CEO to Executive Chairman last December due to health reasons will continue as Executive Chairman. Barry Zwarenstein, Five9’s CFO, who served as Interim CEO during the transition, will continue as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently Trollope served on the CEO’s Executive Leadership Team at Cisco. Trollope joined Cisco in 2012 to lead the Collaboration Technology Group. Prior to joining Cisco, Trollope spent many years in the Internet Security industry, and led Symantec’s sales, marketing and product development teams as the Group President.
Education Pioneers [OAKLAND, CA] announced that Founder & CEO Scott Morgan announced he is stepping down as CEO in June. His successor is Melissa Wu, currently the organization’s Chief Program Officer. Wu previously worked as a Partner at TNTP, a national education nonprofit.
YRC Worldwide Inc. [OVERLAND PARK, KS] (NASDAQ: YRCW) announced that Darren Hawkins has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Hawkins is replacing James Welch who previously announced his intention to retire from the Company. Welch will continue to serve on the Board of Directors and remain employed as a Senior Advisor through July 31, 2018. Prior to this appointment, Hawkins served in the transitional role of President and Chief Operating Officer of YRC Worldwide after serving as President of YRC Freight.
JM Family Enterprises [DEERFIELD BEACH, FL] has announced Brent Burns as the next chief executive officer effective July 1, 2018. Colin Brown will continue his position as chairman of the board. Burns was promoted to chief operating officer in 2014 and became president last year. Prior to his current role, Burns was JM Family’s chief financial officer for six years and president of its subsidiary World Omni Financial Corp.
Pacific West Bank [WEST LINN, OR] (OTCBB: PWBO) announced that Steve Gray, who has served as President of the Bank since 2008, will retire effective May 31, 2018. Gray will remain on the Board of Directors. Succeeding Gray as President and CEO is Bob Seibert, who currently serves as the Bank’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Seibert, a veteran of local community banking for 27 years, joined the Bank in 2008.
