College Futures Foundation [SAN FRANCISCO] has named Monica Lozano as the new President & CEO. She is currently a member of the board of directors of the Rockefeller Foundation and the University of California Board of Regents. Lozano was the publisher of La Opinión and served as CEO of ImpreMedia. Previously, she was a trustee of the University of Southern California for more than 20 years and was also a member of the California State Board of Education. An appointee of President Obama to the Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, Lozano also served on the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board. There will be a period of transition before Lozano assumes the role full-time in December 2017. She succeeds Julia Lopez, who led the Foundation from 2008 until her retirement in June of this year.
Marvin Windows and Doors [WARROAD, Minn.] announced Paul Marvin assumes the position of chief executive officer for The Marvin Companies. He was named president of Marvin Windows and Doors on Jan. 1, 2016, after serving as vice president of sales, along with other roles within the company. His promotion to CEO, in addition to continuing to serve as president, caps a steady track record of success over the course of 11 years.
IAP Worldwide Services, Inc. (IAP) [ALEXANDRIA, Va.] has announced the appointment of Terry DeRosa as their new Chief Executive Officer and Director. DeRosa served as IAP’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the past three years. DeRosa previously served as Executive Vice President & CFO for Kestrel – Boeing Defense, Space & Security, and President of DRS Electronics Systems Group.
Pure Storage [MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.] (NYSE: PSTG) has named Charles Giancarlo Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Giancarlo previously served in senior executive roles at Silver Lake Partners and Cisco Systems, Inc. Giancarlo succeeds Scott Dietzen who is stepping down from his role as CEO and has been appointed Chairman of the Board. Giancarlo, previously served as Managing Director, Head of Value Creation and later Senior Advisor at Silver Lake Partners from 2007 to 2015. From 2008 to 2009, Giancarlo served as Interim President and CEO of Avaya. Prior to that, from 1993 to 2007, Giancarlo served in senior executive roles at Cisco Systems, including Chief Technology Officer and Chief Development Officer.
IPVALUE Management [SANTA CLARA, Calif.] announced the appointment of John Lindgren as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Lindgren will also join the company’s board of directors. Prior to IPVALUE, Lindgren was the President and CEO of Conversant Intellectual Property Management. Earlier, Lindgren enjoyed a 20 year career with Texas Instruments Incorporated. Lindgren succeeds Murali Dharan who had been the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer since 2007, Dharan will continue to serve on IPVALUE’s board of directors and will assist with the leadership transition.
Key Safety Systems (KSS) [STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich.] announced that Jason Luo has resigned as president and chief executive officer. Yuxin Tang will assume the role of executive director and interim president.
BeavEx Incorporated [ATLANTA] has named Terry Carter as its Chief Executive Officer. Carter brings over 25 years of supply chain solutions experience from FedEx Ground, DHL, and RPS, Inc. In addition to FedEx Ground, DHL, and RPS, Carter has held senior leadership positions at Brown Integrated Logistics, Graebel Van Lines, and World Wide Technology Inc. Rich Boland, BeavEx’s President and Chief Executive Officer since 2014, will resign from BeavEx.
BioDelivery Sciences International, Inc. [RALEIGH, N.C.] (NASDAQ: BDSI) announced that at the end of 2017, Mark A. Sirgo will retire as BDSI’s President and Chief Executive Officer, roles which he has held since 2005. Sirgo will remain as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors where he will continue to provide leadership and guidance to BDSI.
Everspin Technologies, Inc. [CHANDLER, Ariz.] (NASDAQ: MRAM) announced it had named Kevin Conley as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Conley succeeds Phill LoPresti. Conley joined Everspin’s Board of Directors in March of 2017. Prior to that, Conley was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of SanDisk until June 2016. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of SanDisk’s Client Storage Solutions business unit, Vice President of Engineering at Corsair. Prior to Corsair, Conley spent over 15 years at SanDisk, holding several key system engineering leadership positions.
Thiel Audio [NASHVILLE, Tenn.] announced that Elyse McKenna has been named Chief Executive Officer. McKenna first joined the company in March 2017 as Director of Strategic Partnerships. McKenna has a 14-year background in marketing and business development, with positions at companies including Applauze, Crowdsurge/Songkick, and Topspin. Before joining Topspin in 2013, McKenna founded and served as president of Welcome Mat Entertainment & Modern Family Music. She also established the Nashville office of Sparkart South, and has additionally held marketing and publicity positions at Third Coast Artist Agency, Brite Entertainment, Greg Oliver Agency, and L.A.B. Media following her move to Nashville in 2002.
Greenwood Hall Inc. [LOS ANGELES] (OTCQB: ELRN) announced the appointment of Bill Bradfield as the new Chief Executive Officer. Bradfield has more than 40 years of executive experience in the software, professional services and telecommunications industries. From 2003 to 2013 Bradfield served as Founder and CEO of Perceptis, Inc. He previously served as the CEO of Advantage Communications, Inc.
Global Medical REIT Inc. [BETHESDA, Md.] (NYSE: GMRE) announced that Chairman of the Board of Directors Jeff Busch will be assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer. Busch is taking over for David Young, who resigned from his position as Chief Executive Officer of the Company and as a member of the Company’s board of directors.
Privia LLC [HERNDON, Va.] is pleased to announce that James (“Jay”) McConville has joined the company as President and Chief Executive Officer. McConville has over twenty years’ experience in the Federal Business Sector, and is the former President and CEO of Aeromech Engineering, Inc. and Executive Vice President with Chandler/May, Inc. He has also served in senior Business Development and Operations positions at Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, and ManTech International. Jay is the Founder of Emerald Collaborative Partners, LLC.
Northern States Metals (NSM) [YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio] announced that it has appointed Kenneth A. Mack as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Mack will also join the company’s Board of Directors. Mack had been acting as the Company’s Interim President and Chief Executive Officer since April. Mack joined the company in September 2015 as Executive Vice President of Operations and Engineering. Prior to joining NSM, Mack was with Permco Inc., as the Director of Global Supply Chain. Mack started his career at General Motors where he spent 16 years in increasing roles of responsibility, in the metal fabricating division and in various engineering and production positions, and ultimately as the Manufacturing Operations Manager and Engineering Group Manager for various divisions of GM.
Ford Motor Company [DEARBORN, Mich.] announced Jason Luo as the new chairman and CEO of Ford China and head of Powertrain Engineering. Luo, joins Ford from Key Safety Systems, where he was global president and CEO for the past 10 years.
Blue Willow Systems [MENLO PARK, Calif.] has named Bob Bailey as their new CEO. Bob has been Blue Willow’s Chairman of the Board.
Henry Ford Hospital [DETROIT] The President and CEO John Popovich of Henry Ford Hospital and Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, Henry Ford Health System, announced his plans to retire from the organization in 2018 at the end of the second quarter.
Asbury Automotive Group, Inc. [DULUTH, Ga.] (NYSE: ABG) announced that Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer David W. Hult will succeed Craig T. Monaghan as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2018. Hult, who has served as Asbury’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since November 2014, will also join the Company’s Board of Directors. Hult has over 30 years of extensive automotive retail experience and has held senior management positions with both large public and private automotive retail organizations, including RLJ McLarty Landers Automotive Holdings, Group 1 Automotive and Penske Automotive Group.
GoDaddy Inc. [SCOTTSDALE, Ariz] (NYSE: GDDY) announced Blake Irving‘s retirement from the role of CEO, effective December 31, 2017. Scott Wagner, GoDaddy’s president and chief operating officer, will assume the CEO role upon Blake’s departure. Irving will continue to serve on GoDaddy’s Board of Directors through June 2018.
Tax Analysts [FALLS CHURCH, Va.] announced today that Cara Griffith was appointed president and CEO immediately by its board of directors. She replaces Christopher Bergin. In addition to having an outside legal tax career, Griffith has worked her way up from reporter to editor to the management level. Most recently, Griffith managed Tax Analysts’ editorial department.
H&R Block, Inc. [KANSAS CITY, Mo.] (NYSE: HRB) named Jeffrey J. Jones II president and chief executive officer, effective Oct. 9, 2017. He will succeed Tom Gerke, who will continue to serve as interim president and CEO until then. Prior to his most recent position as president of Ride Sharing at Uber, Jones was executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Target Corporation from 2012 to 2016. Prior to Target, Jones held executive and leadership roles for The Gap, The Coca-Cola Company and Leo Burnett and founded Burnett’s subsidiary company, LB Works. In addition, he has helped establish and sell a systems integration consulting firm and co-led the management buy-back of the agency, McKinney.
Cardtronics plc [HOUSTON and LONDON] (NASDAQ: CATM) announced that Chief Executive Officer Steven A. Rathgaber will retire from his CEO and Director roles effective December 31, 2017. Edward H. West, Cardtronics’ Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer, will succeed Rathgaber as CEO and join the board as a Director. He joined Cardtronics in January 2016, following a 25-year career in senior executive roles, including CEO and CFO, at a number of large public and private corporations, from an early stage technology firm to a Fortune 100 company, with experience in the financial services, education, technology and business services and aviation industries.
Trumpet Behavioral Health, LLC [LAKEWOOD, Colo.] announced that it has appointed Ned Carlson as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Trumpet, Carlson was President of GlobalCare, Inc. Previously, he was a founding member and Managing Director at Dawntreader Ventures.
