Actian Corporation [PALO ALTO, Calif.] appointed Rohit De Souza to the role of Chief Executive Officer and President. Prior to his appointment at Actian, De Souza held the President and acting CEO position at BeyondCore. Prior to BeyondCore, De Souza held multiple leadership positions at HP, including Vice President and General Manager for HP Software – Autonomy / IDOL and prior to that Vice President and Worldwide Manager for its Retail Publishing division. De Souza has held leadership roles at Siebel, Oracle and Intel. De Souza takes over the role of CEO from Steve Shine, who has stepped down from the organization.
Beaver-Visitec International (“BVI”) [WALTHAM, Mass.] announced that it has named Dana G. Mead Jr. as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mead was most recently a Strategic Advisor and previously a Partner in the life sciences practice of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), where he was responsible for helping identify and grow the firm’s portfolio of healthcare companies. Before KPCB, Mead served as President of Guidant Vascular Intervention. Earlier in his career, Mead held sales and marketing roles in the ophthalmic device groups of Allergan and Johnson & Johnson. Mead replaces Tom Kapfer, who has served as BVI’s President and CEO since August 2010.
Aviacode [SALT LAKE CITY] hired Keith Hagen as its new chief executive officer. Hagen brings healthcare IT experience in leadership roles at several leading companies including CEO at QuadraMed and at Quantros. He was also President of Misys Transaction Services. Most recently, Hagen was CEO of IHM Services, which was sold to Persivia in 2015.
Glu Mobile Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO] (NASDAQ:GLUU) announced that Niccolo de Masi will transition from his roles as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer to become the Company’s Executive Chairman. Nick Earl has been named Chief Executive Officer. Since November 2015, Nick Earl has served as Glu’s President of Global Studios. Nick joined Glu from Kabam Inc. and Electronic Arts. At Kabam, Earl was President of Worldwide Studios. At EA, Earl was SVP of EA Mobile.
National Christian Foundation (NCF) [ALPHARETTA, Ga.] announced it has selected Chris Holdorf as its new Chief Executive Officer. Holdorf will assume his CEO role on December 5, 2016, and replaces outgoing CEO Bill Williams. Holdorf has held senior executive positions with several Fortune 100 companies, including Certified Public Accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co., Vice President at Contel Corporation, Director of Taxes at GTE, and Director of Taxes and International Business Development at Southern Electric International, a subsidiary of The Southern Company. Most recently, he served as senior pastor at the 1,500-member Oak Hill Baptist Church in Griffin, Georgia, and prior to that as executive pastor at First Redeemer Church in Cumming, Georgia.
August Jackson [BETHESDA, Md.] announced the selection of Laura Shuler as the agency’s Chief Executive Officer. She will succeed Frank Andrews, who founded August Jackson in 2003, as he moves into the role of Chairman. Most recently, she served as the Executive Director for Brand Engagement at global firm Landor. Previously, she was U.S. President of experiential marketing agency Jack Morton Worldwide.
Oncolytics Biotech Inc. [CALGARY] announced that Brad Thompson has stepped down as President and Chief Executive Officer of Oncolytics. The Company’s Chief Operating Officer, Matt Coffey has been appointed Interim President and Chief Executive Officer.
Ashford Hospitality Prime, Inc. [DALLAS] (NYSE: AHP) announced that it has appointed Richard J. Stockton as the Chief Executive Officer, effective November 14, 2016. Monty J. Bennett, the Company’s previous Chief Executive Officer, remains Chairman of the Board of Ashford Prime. Stockton spent over 15 years at Morgan Stanley in real estate investment banking where he rose from an Associate to Managing Director and regional group head. He left the firm in 2013 to become President & CEO-Americas for OUE Limited, a publicly listed Singaporean property company. Most recently, Mr. Stockton served as Global Chief Operating Officer, Real Estate at Carval Investors, a subsidiary of Cargill.
Vertex, Inc. [BERWYN, Pa.] announced the appointment of David DeStefano to Chief Executive Officer. DeStefano succeeds Jeff Westphal as president and CEO of Vertex. Westphal will remain in his position of chairperson of the board of directors for the company. DeStefano joined the Vertex in 1999 as Chief Financial Officer.
Source Refrigeration & HVAC [ANAHEIM, Calif.] announced that Adam Coffey has been appointed as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Founder Brad Howard will remain in his position as Chairman. Adam’s prior role was as President and CEO of WASH Multifamily Laundry. Prior to his work at WASH, Adam was President and CEO of Masterplan, Inc., and held leadership positions with a number of business units inside GE Medical Systems.
Behringer [ADDISON, Texas] announced that Robert S. (Bob) Aisner, chief executive officer, has resigned as CEO. Michael D. Cohen, currently president of Behringer, will continue as president and succeed Mr. Aisner as chief executive officer.
Tocagen Inc. [SAN DIEGO] announced the appointment of Martin “Marty” Duvall as chief executive officer. Harry Gruber, who previously served as Tocagen’s chief executive officer, has assumed the role of president, research and development, and will remain a member of Tocagen’s board of directors. Prior to joining Tocagen, Duvall he served as executive vice president, chief commercial officer of ARIAD Pharmaceuticals. Previous to Mr. Duvall’s role at ARIAD, he served as senior vice president and general manager, oncology, at Merck and & Co., Inc. Prior to this role, Mr. Duvall was the senior vice president, global marketing and commercial operations at Abraxis Bioscience, Inc. (acquired by Celgene). Prior to joining Abraxis, he was the senior vice president, commercial operations, for MGI Pharma, Inc. (acquired by Eisai Co., Ltd.).
InVivo Therapeutics Holdings Corp. [CAMBRIDGE, Mass.] (NVIV) announced the appointment of Jeffrey Hatfield to its Board of Directors. Mr. Hatfield most recently served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Board Member for Vitae Pharmaceuticals and served in those capacities since joining the company in March 2004. Prior to joining Vitae Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Hatfield worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) in a variety of executive positions, including: Senior Vice President of BMS’ Immunology and Virology Divisions; President and General Manager, BMS-Canada; and Vice President, U.S. Managed Health Care. He has served on the Board of Ambit Biosciences (AMBI) before its acquisition by Daiichi-Sankyo.
Shopify Inc. [OTTAWA, Ontario] (NYSE: SHOP, TSX: SHOP) announced that Gail Goodman has been appointed to its board of directors. Gail will serve on Shopify’s Audit and Compensation Committees. Gail is the former Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson of Constant Contact. After becoming CEO in April 1999, she led Constant Contact through its initial public offering and for eight years as a publicly traded company, until its acquisition by Endurance International Group Holdings, Inc. in February, 2016. Ms. Goodman currently serves on the board of directors of MINDBODY, Inc.
Concordia International Corp. [OAKVILLE, ON] (NASDAQ: CXRX, TSX: CXR) announced that it has appointed Allan Oberman as its new Chief Executive Officer and selected Jordan Kupinsky as Chairman of the Board of Directors. The new appointments are effective November 14, 2016. Oberman was recently appointed to the Concordia Board of Directors and has more than 16 years of international pharmaceutical industry experience, including his recent role as Chief Executive Officer of specialty pharmaceutical company, Sagent Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Sagent was sold to Nichi-Iko Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. Prior to Sagent, Mr. Oberman served as President and CEO of Teva Americas Generics from 2012 to 2014. He joined Teva in 2000 and served as President of Teva EMIA (Eastern Europe, Middle East, Israel and Africa). Mr. Oberman also served as the Chief Operating Officer of Teva International, and President and CEO of Teva Canada, formerly known as Novopharm Limited. Mr. Oberman, who will continue as a Director of the Company in his new capacity, will succeed Mark L. Thompson as CEO.
Exchangelodge [PITTSBURGH] announced it has appointed Robert Caporale as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Robert has held senior management positions at J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Fiserv, and IBM. At J.P. Morgan, Robert was the founder and CEO of the Private Equity Fund Services business.
The Inter-American Foundation (IAF) [WASHINGTON] announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Robert N. Kaplan has decided to step down, effective May 2017, after more than six years of successful leadership, to pursue personal interests outside of the organization.
International Medical Group, Inc. (IMG) [INDIANAPOLIS] announced that it has appointed Todd A. Hancock as president and chief executive officer. Brian Barwick, IMG’s former CEO, will continue to serve as executive chairman of the company. Prior to becoming president and CEO of IMG, Hancock served as the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Ripple (SAN FRANCISCO) announced Chris Larsen has decided to transition from his operational role as chief executive officer of Ripple to executive chairman of Ripple’s board of directors. He has named Brad Garlinghouse his successor as CEO of Ripple, effective January 1, 2017.
Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, Inc. [OWENSBORO, Ky.] announced that it has appointed Jimmy D. Staton as President & Chief Executive Officer effective December 5, 2016. Jerry L. Morris, Southern Star’s current President & Chief Executive Officer, will assume the role of President & Chief Executive Officer Emeritus until his retirement in early 2017. Most recently, Jimmy served as Executive Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors of Venture Global LNG. Prior to joining Venture Global, Jimmy served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Columbia Pipeline Group, Northern Indiana Public Service Company and the Columbia Distribution Companies.
P21 [WASHINGTON] announced the appointment of David Ross as P21’s new Chief Executive Officer. Ross has been serving as P21’s Chief Strategy Officer. Ross is succeeding Dr. Helen Soulé as P21’s Chief Executive. Soulé is stepping down this month from her leadership position, but will continue serving P21 as a Senior Advisor.
Casebia Therapeutics [CAMBRIDGE, Mass.] the joint venture founded by Bayer and CRISPR Therapeutics, announced that James W. Burns has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Casebia, Dr. Burns spent the bulk of his career at Sanofi-Genzyme. First joining Genzyme in 1986, he had several leadership roles with increasing responsibility. Most recently he was the Head of Sanofi’s North American R&D Hub.
Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC [DALLAS] announced that Chief Executive Officer, Bob Shapard, will retire upon successful close of the proposed acquisition of Oncor by NextEra Energy and take over as Chairman of the newly constituted Oncor Board of Directors, subject to regulatory approval. Oncor Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Allen Nye, will succeed Shapard as CEO upon his retirement. From June 2008 until joining Oncor, Mr. Nye practiced law as a partner in the Dallas office of Vinson & Elkins LLP. Prior to Vinson & Elkins, Mr. Nye was a partner in the law firm of Hunton & Williams from January 2002 until May 2008.
Support.com, Inc. [REDWOOD CITY, Calif.] (NASDAQ: SPRT) announced that it has appointed Rick Bloom, a member of Support.com’s Board of Directors since June 2016, as interim President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Bloom succeeds Elizabeth Cholawsky who has resigned her position as Support.com’s President and CEO.
QMA [NEWARK, N.J.] announced that Andrew Dyson has been appointed chief executive officer of QMA, effective April 2017. Dyson will assume this role from Scott Hayward who, after more than a decade of leadership, will leave QMA to take on a new challenge. Dyson was most recently executive vice president and head of Global Distribution for Affiliated Managers Group. Before joining AMG, Dyson served as head of BlackRock’s Global Institutional Client Business and previously held senior roles at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and Mercer Investment Consulting in the U.K. and the U.S.
NCI, Inc. [RESTON, Va.] (NASDAQ: NCIT) announced that it has appointed Paul A. Dillahay as president and chief executive officer. Mr. Dillahay replaces Brian J. Clark, who resigned as president and chief executive officer and a director of NCI, to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Dillahay previously held the position of executive vice president of CACI International’s Health and Litigation Solutions group. In addition to CACI, he spent the past 15 years in senior management positions at General Electric, Lockheed Martin, US Investigation Services (USIS) and ASRC Federal.
American Housing Income Trust, Inc. [PHOENIX] (OTC: AHIT) announced the appointment of James Stevens, as Chief Executive Officer. Stevens replaces Jeff Howard, who resigned to pursue other opportunities. James Stevens has operated in real estate for over 30 years, including holding several positions as a Real Estate Broker, Certified Property Manager, and builder.
InterDent Service Corporation [INGLEWOOD, Calif.] announced the appointment of Marshal Salomon as the company’s Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Marshal was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Vantage Oncology. Prior to Vantage, Marshal spent more than five years as a senior executive at DaVita, Inc.
The Music Settlement (TMS) at University Circle [CLEVELAND] announced its new President & CEO: Geralyn ‘Geri’ Presti, who is returning to TMS after her tenure at Forest City Realty Trust, Inc. where she currently serves as EVP, General Counsel, and Secretary. Presti will begin to transition to her role leading The Music Settlement in the first quarter of 2017, and will continue to carry out her responsibilities with Forest City through the beginning of March 2017.
Crescita Therapeutics Inc. [MISSISSAUGA, ON] (TSX: CTX) announced that Dan Chicoine has been appointed its Chief Executive Officer on an interim basis, replacing Greg Orleski. Mr. Chicoine will also continue to serve as the Company’s Executive Chairman.
Benu Networks [BOSTON & PALO ALTO, Calif. & NEW YORK] announced Mads Lillelund as Chief Executive Officer. Lillelund was previously CEO of Bluesocket. He serves as a board member and advisor to several tech firms, and prior to Bluesocket held positions with AT & T, Lucent and Enterasys (now Extreme).
OpenMarkets Inc. [CHICAGO] announced Michael Finenberg as its new CEO. Fineberg was recruited as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) a year ago by outgoing CEO and Founder Dan Michalek. Fineberg joined OpenMarkets in 2015, and comes from SurePayroll, where he served as CTO. Before joining SurePayroll, Fineberg owned and managed a technology-consulting firm and held management positions at a number of large companies, including Hewitt Associates and Medline.
GroupM [NEW YORK], the media investment group of WPP, announced a transition in leadership at MEC, a global media agency. After nearly 20 years at WPP and 14 years leading MEC, Charles Courtier is stepping down from the role of Global CEO to focus on interests outside the company. Succeeding him will be Tim Castree. Courtier will continue as MEC’s CEO through a transition period and step down at the end of the year, but continue with WPP through June, 2017. Castree will step into his new role in January, 2017. Castree served most recently as Managing Director of Videology in North America. Before joining Videology, he was USA Chief Operating Officer for Publicis Group’s Mediavest. Previously he was Global Managing Director for Starcom MediaVest Group. He began his career with Leo Burnett in Melbourne, Australia and subsequently held roles with FCB, Ogilvy, and BBH.
Axiom [NEW YORK] announced that Mark Harris, who co-founded the firm 16 years ago and has served as its CEO ever since, will move into the role of Executive Chairman. Elena Donio will join Axiom as its next CEO and join the company’s Board of Directors, effective November 30. Donio most recently served as President of Concur, an SAP company.
Granada Corporation [SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.] announced that it has hired Felix A. Serrano as chief executive officer.
Herbalife Ltd. [LOS ANGELES] (NYSE: HLF) announced that consistent with the Company’s planned succession strategy, Michael O. Johnson, Herbalife Nutrition’s chief executive officer (CEO) since 2003 and chairman since 2007, will transition to the role of executive chairman of the Company, effective June 1, 2017. At that time, Richard P. Goudis, currently chief operating officer (COO), will succeed Mr. Johnson as CEO.
Woven Digital [LOS ANGELES] announced it has named Benjamin Blank as CEO. Blank previously served as Woven’s Chief Creative Officer. Colin Digiaro who had previously served as Woven CEO has been promoted to Executive Chairman.
HotChalk, Inc. [CAMPELL, Calif.] announced that Larry Lenhart has joined the company as its new CEO. He succeeds Edward Fields, who will continue to support HotChalk as Chairman of the Board. Lenhart previously served as an Operating Partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures, where he was the CEO for a number of technology companies. Before his CEO experience, Lenhart was a managing partner at Deloitte Consulting and at AT Kearney.
Camin Cargo Control, Inc. [PASADENA, Texas] announced the retirement of Founder and CEO Carlos Camin and the appointment of John Hodson as CEO of Camin Cargo Control Group. Mr. Hodson most recently served as Senior Vice President at Inspectorate International Limited and has held roles at Intertek Testing Services and Inchcape Testing Services.
