C4 Recovery Solutions, Inc. [TUCSON, Ariz.] announced the appointment of Robert Ryberg as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Mr. Ryberg cofounded Peak Consulting Partners. Mr. Ryberg has served on the board of directors for C4 Recovery Solutions for the past 5 years.
PCTEL, Inc. [BLOOMINGDALE, Ill.] (NASDAQ: PCTI) announced that Marty Singer, PCTEL’s Chairman and CEO since 2001, will step down and serve as Vice Chair until his retirement later in the year. David Neumann, who currently leads PCTEL’s RF Solutions business as its Senior Vice President and General Manager, will become the company’s CEO in January. Mr. Neumann joined PCTEL in 2009.
Visit West Hollywood [WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.] announced the appointment of Tom Kiely to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Kiely has served as Executive Vice President – Tourism since 2010.
OSF Healthcare System [PEORIA, IL] has announced that Kevin Schoeplein, Chief Executive Officer of OSF Healthcare System and Vice – Chairperson for the Boards of OSF, has announced his intention to retire. To facilitate a smooth transition, Bob Sehring, Chief Executive Officer, Central Region, will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer of OSF HealthCare on January 1, 2017. Sehring will become Chief Executive Officer of OSF Healthcare System when Schoeplein retires.
Tranzon LLC [PORTLAND, Maine] announced that Scott King joined the firm as president and chief executive officer. King, longtime executive vice president of J.P. King, currently serves on the National Auctioneers Association Board of Directors and serves as an instructor in the Certified Auctioneers Institute.
Metacrine, Inc. [SAN DIEGO] announced the appointment of Ken Song as its new president, chief executive officer and director. Dr. Song was most recently co-founder and chief executive officer of Ariosa Diagnostics. Prior to Ariosa, Dr. Song was a venture capital investor at Venrock and served as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Ruby Tuesday, Inc. [MARYVILLE, TN] (NYSE: RT) announced that the Board of Directors has appointed F. Lane Cardwell, Jr. as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer following the resignation of James J. “JJ” Buettgen. Mr. Cardwell has been a Director of the Company since October 2012 and member of the Executive Compensation and Audit Committees. Since June 2012, Mr. Cardwell has served as the President of Cardwell Hospitality Advisory. Before that, he held several positions including President of P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, as well as board member, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Boston Market. Previously, he served on the board of Famous Dave’s of America prior to becoming interim President and Chief Executive Officer and also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Eatzi’s Market and Bakery. Prior to joining Eatzi’s, Mr. Cardwell was Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer and board member of Brinker International.
Jobaline [SEATTLE] announced that it has appointed Douglas Johnson as Chief Executive Officer. He was previously CEO at Intermedia. Prior to the merger of Telanetix Inc. and Intermedia Inc., where Johnson led worldwide sales, he served as CEO and board member of Telanetix Inc. from 2008-2013. Johnson also served as CEO and board member of AccessLine Communications, from 2002-2008. Prior to AccessLine, Johnson took on ever increasing roles of responsibility, at McCaw Cellular Inc. and then AT&T Wireless. Johnson began his career with Touche Ross (now Deloitte and Touche) as a CPA.
Legacy Health Endowment [TURLOCK, Calif.] announced the hiring of Jeffrey R. Lewis as the first president and chief executive officer. Lewis has worked in Congress, for three United States Senators, in the private sector, and in the foundation world as well. Immediately before joining LHE, he served as president of the Institute for Healthcare Innovation while concurrently serving as the chairman and CEO of the St. Paul’s Foundation health care Project in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Lewis also spent 20 years at the Heinz Family Philanthropies as its president and chief operating officer.
The Talbots, Inc. [HINGHAM, Mass.] announced that Michael Weiss, the longtime CEO of Express has joined the Talbots Board of Directors. Michael Weiss served in various leadership roles at Express, for much of his professional career. Most recently, from 2007 to 2015, he served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Weiss joined Limited Brands in 1981 as the merchandise manager for an eight-store experimental division, which became Express. He served as president of Express from 1982 to 1993. He then left to become Vice Chairman of Limited Brands in 1993 only to return to Express in 1997 as President and Chief Executive Officer. He temporarily retired from the division in 2004 and returned in 2007 following the sale of Express to a private equity firm. Before joining Limited Brands, Mr. Weiss worked with Apparel Industries, Casual Corner and Abraham and Strauss. He has served on the board of Collective Brands, Pac Sun, Chico’s, Borders, Retail Management at Brigham Young University, the American Red Cross of Columbus, the Greater Columbus Arts Council, United Way of Franklin County and the Columbus Jewish Foundation.
Unishippers Global Logistics, LLC [SALT LAKE CITY] announced that CEO Dan Lockwood has made the decision to transition into a newly created role as Executive Chairman. Current President Kevin Lathrop will be promoted to CEO & President of the third-party logistics company. Lathrop began his tenure as President in January 2011 and prior to that served as Chief Technology Officer from 1999-2011.
PQ Bypass [SUNNYVALE, Calif.] announced that Peter Wehrly has assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. Wehrly’s previous roles include Group President of Developed Markets, and Group President of Respiratory & Monitoring Solutions, Vascular Therapies, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada at Covidien. Prior to joining Covidien, Mr. Wehrly served as a Medtronic Senior Vice-President and President of the Spinal, Biologics and Navigation Division of Medtronic. Before Medtronic, Mr. Wehrly spent 17 years at DePuy, a division of Johnson & Johnson, having also served as its Division President. Additionally, Wehrly currently serves on the Board of Directors for Re-Walk Robotics.
Fox Restaurant Concepts [PHOENIX, AZ] has hired former Starbucks executive Christine Barone as chief executive officer of True Food Kitchen. Prior to joining True Food Kitchen, Christine served as Starbucks’ senior vice president of food, evenings and licensed stores. Christine previously led multiple teams as a management consultant with Bain & Company. She began her career as an investment banker.
Captify Health [LENEXA, Kan.] announced that Nicole Bradberry has been selected as the company’s next Chief Executive Officer. Bradberry joins Captify from Citra Health Solutions, which she founded and served as President and Board Member. She currently also leads the Florida Association of ACOs as Founder and CEO. Prior to Citra, Nicole was a founding executive and CIO of Rise Health. Before her role at Rise Health, Nicole served in leadership positions at UnitedHealth Group and Cigna Healthcare. Nicole serves as the CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Florida Association of ACOs, is on the Board of Diabetes America and has advised growing healthcare companies through Zinnia Health.
Clicktale [BERKELEY, Calif.] announced that Tuval Chomut has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Chomut has previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Clicktale. Prior to joining Clicktale in April, 2015, Chomut served a long tenure as Global Chief Development Officer at Investment Technology Group, Inc.
CSL Group [MONTREAL] announced that Rod Jones has decided to retire, after a nine-year tenure as President and Chief Executive Officer, and a career with CSL that has spanned over thirty years. Louis Martel, President, CSL International and Executive Vice-President, CSL Group, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Martel joined Canada Steamship Lines as a Naval Architect in 1997 and transferred to CSL Americas in 2003 where he became Vice-President, Technical Operations. He took the helm of Canada Steamship Lines as President in April 2012 and was promoted to Executive Vice-President, CSL Group, and President, Canada Steamship Lines in January 2014. A year later, he was appointed President, CSL International.
QL2 Software [BALTIMORE, MD] has named Carl Wartzack, Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining QL2, he was at Advertising.com, and Millennial Media. He joined Millennial Media when the company was in its start-up phase. He has also held key leadership roles at media giants Yahoo, AOL, Verizon and the Washington Post in product management, analytics and operations.
Malwarebytes [SANTA CLARA, Calif] announced the appointment of Gary Steele, CEO at Proofpoint, to the Malwarebytes Board of Directors. Steele currently serves as CEO of Proofpoint, Inc. and oversees corporate strategy and direction. Before joining Proofpoint, Steele served as the CEO of Portera. Prior to Portera, Steele served as the vice president and general manager of the Middleware and Data Warehousing Product Group at Sybase, Inc. Steele’s prior experience includes business development, marketing, and engineering roles at Sun Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard.
Time Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: TIME) announced that Rich Battista has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the company, and is joining the Time Inc. Board of Directors. Battista, who had been Executive Vice President of Time Inc. and President, Brands, succeeds Joe Ripp as CEO. Ripp will continue to lead the Board of Directors as Executive Chairman. Prior to joining Time Inc. in 2015, Battista served as CEO of Mandalay Sports Media. Over a period of more than 18 years, Battista held numerous senior management roles at Fox Television. He was CEO of the publicly traded Gemstar-TV Guide International from 2004 to 2008. Battista began his career as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley.
HealthMyne [MADISON, Wis.] has named Arvind Subramanian as its CEO and Board Member. Arvind spent over 10 years at the General Electric Company in the Jack Welch era where he held vice president/general manager positions for several business lines at GE Information Services. After leaving GE in 1999, Arvind served on the executive management teams of two venture capital backed technology start-up companies, including ProVation Medical, where he served as Chief Operating Officer prior to the company’s acquisition by Wolters Kluwer N.V. in January 2006. Arvind was named President & CEO of Wolters Kluwer Health’s Clinical Solutions (CS) business unit in 2006.
Weight Watchers International, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: WTW) announced that James Chambers has notified the Board of Directors of his resignation as Chief Executive Officer, and as a Director of the Company. To lead the company until a permanent CEO is appointed, the Board announced the creation of an interim Office of the Chief Executive Officer. The three members of the Office of the CEO are Nicholas Hotchkin, Chief Financial Officer, Thilo Semmelbauer, Director, and Christopher Sobecki, Director.
Ingenious Med [ATLANTA] announced that it has added Joe Marabito to its executive team as chief executive officer. Marabito is joining Ingenious Med to replace retiring president and CEO Hart Williford. Williford will serve as chairman of Ingenious Med’s board of directors. Marabito formerly served as president and CEO of ikaSystems. He also held senior executive positions at Medco, Accenture, NaviNet, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri.
IAS [AUSTIN, Texas] announced that Patrick Brown has joined the company as president and CEO. Mr. Brown succeeds longtime IAS executive Bob Corbin who has been with the company since 2000. Before joining IAS, Mr. Brown served as the General Manager of the Commercial Prepaid business for Netspend. Mr. Brown joined Netspend subsequent to its acquisition of Procesa International, LLC where Mr. Brown was founder and CEO. Mr. Brown also served as General Manager of Euronet Payments & Remittance, Inc. Mr. Brown joined Euronet subsequent to its acquisition of Continental Transfer, of which he was a co-founder and served as chief operating officer.
WHI Global, LLC [FAIRFIELD, N.J. and NEW YORK] announced that Albert Altieri has joined the Company and will serve as its President and CEO. Mr. Altieri is a 35-year veteran of the Aerospace & Defense industry and previously served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer with Sikorsky Aerospace Services.
Account Control Technology Holdings, Inc. [WOODLAND HILLS, CA] announced the appointment of Tracey Carpentier as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to her CEO appointment, Carpentier served as the President of Precision Dynamics Corporation and Brady Security Group at Brady Corporation.
21st Century Oncology Holdings, Inc. [FORT MYERS, Fla.] announced that its board of directors has appointed William (Bill) R. Spalding as president and CEO. He succeeds company founder Daniel Dosoretz. Spalding was appointed a director of the company in May. Spalding was formerly chief executive officer of PharMEDium Healthcare Holdings from January 2014 through its sale to Amerisource Bergen Corporation in November 2015. Previously, he was executive vice president, strategy and managed care of CVS Caremark Corporation and executive vice president, strategic initiatives of Caremark Rx, Inc. Earlier in his career, Spalding was a senior partner and member of the policy committee and practice group leader at the international law firm, King and Spalding, LLP. In addition, besides serving as a director of PharMEDium Healthcare Holdings, Spalding is a board member for MedVantx Corporation, and previously served as a member of the SecureWorks Corp. board of directors and the Carter Presidential Center Board of Counselors.
Jaunt Inc. [PALO ALTO, Calif.] announced that it has appointed George Kliavkoff as chief executive officer. Kliavkoff joins Jaunt from Hearst Corporation where he served as co-president of Entertainment & Syndication. Prior to Hearst, Kliavkoff was chief digital officer at NBC Universal. Prior to NBCU, he was an executive vice president for Major League Baseball Advanced Media.
Extra Space Storage Inc. [SALT LAKE CITY] (NYSE: EXR) announced that Spencer F. Kirk will retire as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. The board of directors has selected Joseph (Joe) D. Margolis to succeed Mr. Kirk as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Extra Space Storage as Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Margolis served as Senior Managing Director and Partner at Penzance Properties in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Previously, Mr. Margolis was a co-founding partner of Arsenal Real Estate Funds from 2004 through 2011. Before forming Arsenal, Mr. Margolis held senior positions at Prudential Real Estate Investors from 1992 to 2004 in portfolio management, capital markets and as General Counsel.
Algeco/Scotsman Holding [BALTIMORE, MD] announced the appointment of Diarmuid Cummins as Chief Executive Officer. Cummins joins Algeco Scotsman from TDR Capital LLP, where he most recently served as a Partner. He joined TDR in January 2011. Prior to joining TDR, he was Managing Director of Phoenix Group’s corporate office, having joined in 2008.
