hhgregg, Inc. [INDIANAPOLIS] (NYSE: HGG) announced that Robert Riesbeck has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of hhgregg. Mr. Riesbeck was appointed Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of hhgregg in February 2016. Mr. Riesbeck will remain in the role of Chief Financial Officer until a replacement is appointed. Prior to joining hhgregg in 2014, Mr. Riesbeck served as Operations Executive/Group CFO at Sun Capital Partners. Prior to that, Mr. Riesbeck was CFO of Marsh Supermarkets. Prior to this, Mr. Riesbeck was CFO of American Golf Corporation and also previously held business-unit COO and CFO roles at Nike, Inc. Mr. Riesbeck began his career with Grant Thornton LLP.
Intermolecular, Inc. [SAN JOSE, Calif.] (NASDAQ: IMI) announced that Chris Kramer has been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer. Kramer joined ATMI in 2010 as Senior Vice President of Materials Solutions. In 2013, Kramer was promoted to manage ATMI’s microelectronics materials business as its General Manager. Subsequently, he joined Entegris in 2014 as part of the ATMI acquisition. He served the company as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Electronic Materials, and as the Chief Commercial Officer. Prior to joining ATMI, Kramer was Vice President, Global Strategic Account Management, for Tokyo Electron America.
Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals, Inc. [GAITHERSBURG, Md.] announced that it has appointed Michael Minarich as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Minarich has served as interim Chief Executive Officer of the company since July 2015. Prior to joining Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals in 2015, Mr. Minarich was providing consulting services to start-ups. He spent the previous 20 years as an expatriate in Asia (Seoul), Canada (Montreal) and Europe (Brussels & Prague) as the Market Company President, Czech Republic for Pharmacia Corporation and at G.D. Searle / Monsanto, with increasing responsibilities in international General Management, Marketing and Business Development.
Enviance [CARLSBAD, CA] announced that Amy Stelling has joined the company as president and CEO. Stelling was previously an executive-in-residence Battery Ventures, the backer of Enviance. Prior to working with Battery Ventures, Stelling spent 13 years at HighJump Software. At HighJump, Stelling held various roles, including senior vice president and general manager for the direct-store delivery division, as well as senior VP of the worldwide-support division.
Inspyr Therapeutics, Inc. [SAN ANTONIO] (OTCQB: NSPX) announced that Christopher Lowe has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, and as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Mr. Lowe has been an advisor to the Company’s Board of Directors since March 2016. Mr. Lowe previously was interim CEO and CFO of Hansen Medical, and CFO and Chief Business Officer of Anthera Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, Mr. Lowe served in various senior financial positions that included CFO of Asthmatx, and Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller of Peninsula Pharmaceuticals acquired by Johnson & Johnson.
Suneva Medical, Inc. [SAN DIEGO] announced the promotion of Preston Romm to president and chief executive officer. Nicholas L. Teti, Jr., former chairman and chief executive officer at Suneva Medical has resigned both posts. Romm recently joined the company as its chief operating officer.
Kleinfelder Group [SAN DIEGO] announced that George J. Pierson has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the firm. George currently serves as President and CEO of The Pierson Advisory Group. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Parsons Brinckerhoff. He held this position from 2010 to 2014.
Camp Southern Ground [ATLANTA] announced the arrival of its new President and Chief Executive Officer, Michael Dobbs. Dobbs has enjoyed board and committee roles in working with non-profits such as Skyland Trail, The Westminster Schools, Metro Atlanta YMCA, Zoo Atlanta and Young Life.
Xaxis [NEW YORK & MIAMI] announced the promotion of Lucas Mentasti to CEO, Latin America. Mentasti was previously managing director, Latin America and the first employee dedicated to the region. Prior to Xaxis, Mentasti served as vice president, digital director for Latin America at Starcom MediaVest. Previous experience includes positions at Havas and DDB in his native Argentina. Mentasti began his career at Boston Consulting Group.
Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection [LOS ANGELES] announced the appointment of Ellen Bettridge as President and Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Bettridge succeeds Guy Young, who is being promoted. Ms. Bettridge joins Uniworld from Azamara Club Cruises, where she has served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Previously, Ms. Bettridge held the position of President, Americas at Silversea Cruise Ltd. Prior to Silversea, Ms. Bettridge held various positions at American Express, initially as a Travel Counselor and most recently as Vice President Retail Travel Business.
Opus Bank [IRVINE, Calif.] (NASDAQ: OPB) announced that Curtis A. Glovier will be appointed to the positions of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PENSCO Trust Company. He replaces Kelly Rodriques, who has resigned. Glovier recently served as a Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group, LLC and has served as a director of Opus Bank since the launch of Opus on September 30, 2010. From May 2007 to July 2016, Mr. Glovier served as a Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group LLC. From May 2000 to May 2007, Mr. Glovier served as a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Middle Market Buyout group at Perseus, LLC. From June 1995 to May 2000, he served as a Managing Director of Nassau Capital. Earlier in his career, Mr. Glovier worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co, and was also a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.
CenterStar Energy Services [VOORHEES, N.J.] has appointed Kathy Rusko as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Rusko most recently held the position of Senior Vice President for Sonepar North America. Prior to that, Rusko served in various positions of increasing responsibility in finance, operational excellence and strategic planning for General Electric Company.
Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. [SOUTHPORT, Conn.] (NYSE: RGR) announced that President & Chief Operating Officer Christopher J. Killoy will succeed Michael O. Fifer as Chief Executive Officer upon Mr. Fifer’s planned retirement. Mr. Killoy joined the Company in 2003 as Executive Director of Sales and Marketing. He was named Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2006 and promoted to President & COO in 2014. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Killoy’s career included duty in the U. S. Army, and several years at General Electric, Smith & Wesson, and Savage Arms in a variety of sales, marketing, and general management positions.
Novanta Inc. [BEDFORD, Mass.] (NASDAQ: NOVT) has named Matthijs Glastra as Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Company. Mr. Glastra currently serves as Novanta’s Chief Operating Officer, and will succeed John Roush as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Roush will continue to serve in an advisory role for a limited transition period. Mr. Glastra joined Novanta Inc. in 2012 as Group President, and was appointed the Company’s Chief Operating Officer inFebruary 2015. Prior to Novanta, he led an 18-year career with Philips, both in Europe as well as Silicon Valley. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Philips Entertainment Lighting and as Chief Operating Officer of Philips Lumileds. Prior to that, he held multiple general manager and leadership positions at various Philips divisions, including the Healthcare division.
HCA Gulf Coast Division [HOUSTON] announced the appointment of David S. Wagner as chief executive officer of Pearland Medical Center. Wagner has served as the vice president of facilities management and support services at the Saint Francis Health System since 2011. Prior to this role, Wagner served as vice president of Saint Francis Health System’s home care and support services division. Before that, Wagner served as administrator of CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital in Beeville, Texas for eight years. Additionally, he served as the assistant executive director of the General Health Services Corporation and administrator of patient care services at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas; and vice president of operations at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas. He began his career as a nursing assistant at St. Luke’s Lutheran Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
5nine Software [CHICAGO, IL] announced the appointment of Jason Judge as a CEO and Chairman of 5nine’s Board of Directors. Jason most recently served as a CEO of Veriato Software. Prior to joining Veriato, Jason served as Chairman and CEO of ScriptLogic. Jason also served as CEO of POPspace Corp. and vice president of business development at WesTower through its merger with SpectraSite in 1999. His executive leadership career began in 1993 when he founded and served as president of Omni Communications.
WorkWell Prevention & Care, Inc. [DULUTH, Minn.] announced the promotion of Kevin Schmidt to Chief Executive Officer of WorkWell. Kevin Schmidt has served as the Senior Vice President for Enterprise Solutions at WorkWell since 2007.
RLJ Lodging Trust [BETHESDA, Md.] (NYSE: RLJ) announced that it has appointed Ross H. Bierkan as President and Chief Executive Officer. In addition, Mr. Bierkan has been elected to the Company’s Board of Trustees. Mr. Bierkan was initially appointed as interim President and Chief Executive Officer in May 2016 following the departure of Thomas J. Baltimore, Jr. Mr. Bierkan has served as the Company’s Chief Investment Officer since the Company’s formation in 2011 and will continue to serve in that role for the time being. Mr. Bierkan served as a Principal and Executive Vice President of the Company’s predecessor, RLJ Development, LLC, from 2000 until the Company’s formation. Previously, Mr. Bierkan was an original member and senior executive of The Plasencia Group. Prior to joining The Plasencia Group, Mr. Bierkan worked with Grubb and Ellis Real Estate, and held various operational and sales management positions for Guest Quarters Hotels (now the Doubletree Guest Suites).
CANTEL MEDICAL CORP. [LITTLE FALLS, N.J.] (NYSE: CMN) announced the appointment of Jorgen B. Hansen as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Hansen also will become a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Hansen succeeds Andrew A. Krakauer, who will serve as a Senior Advisor for the Company until October 15, 2016. Mr. Hansen joined Cantel in November 2012 as EVP and COO, and was appointed to President and COO in November 2014. He also served as President and CEO of Cantel’s Endoscopy business unit, from November 2012 to July 2015. Prior to joining Cantel, Mr. Hansen worked at ConvaTec from May 2009 – November 2012, most recently as Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, Business Development, Science and Innovation. Mr. Hansen joined ConvaTec from Coloplast, where he held various leadership roles over a 13-year period in Asia and Europe, ranging from General Manager, Division Head and Senior Vice President of Global Operations.
CentralColo Holdings [SUNNYVALE, California] announced that Ken Parent has joined as Chief Executive Officer and member of the board of directors of the Company. Ken is the former CEO and a founder of ByteGrid. Prior to founding ByteGrid, Ken held the positions of CFO and COO of The Mills Corporation.
First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc. [CHICAGO] (NYSE: FR) announced that Peter E. Baccile has been named President and will serve as a member of its Board of Directors. He replaces Bruce W. Duncan. Mr. Bacile joins First Industrial from UBS Securities, LLC where he served as Joint Global Head of the Real Estate, Lodging and Leisure Group since June 2012. Prior to that, Mr. Baccile served in various senior leadership at J.P. Morgan. Most recently, he was Vice Chairman of J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. He also served as Co-Head of the General Industries Investment Banking Coverage Group. Before that he served as Global Head of J.P. Morgan’s Real Estate, Lodging and Gaming Investment Banking group.
Optimé International [TORONTO] announced that Alain Champagne has joined the company as Partner and Chief Executive Officer. Until recently, Alain Champagne held the position of President of McKesson Canada. Prior to joining McKesson Canada in 2010 as SVP Pharmaceutical Distribution and Operations, he held various executive roles with Frito Lay Canada and Procter & Gamble.
Lumiant Corporation [CALGARY, Alberta] announced the appointment of Charles Baker as CEO. Charles Baker’s 35-year product development and engineering career includes key positions at several international automobile related corporations; including General Motors, Honda Motors, Harley Davidson, and Johnson Controls. Until recently, Mr. Baker was an Executive Director of Product Marketing at GM.
Radiology Protocols [IOWA CITY, Iowa] announced that Colleen McFarlane has been appointed company CEO. McFarlane’s joins having served as Vice President of Client Relations at U.S. Preventive Medicine. Prior to that McFarlane was the National Sales Manager– Long-term Care for Guldmann, Inc. Prior to that position, McFarlane was Select Accounts Manager for Guldmann.
Scientific Games Corporation [LAS VEGAS] (NASDAQ: SGMS) announced that Kevin M. Sheehan has joined Scientific Games as the company’s new CEO and President. Additionally, he will serve on the Company’s Board of Directors. Current Scientific Games CEO and President Gavin Isaacs will become Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Sheehan joins Scientific Games from Norwegian Cruise Line, where he served as CEO and President for seven years. Before that, he spent nine years with Cendant Corporation, where he held various senior executive roles including serving as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Cendant Corp’s Vehicle Services Division from January 2003 to May 2005. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer of Cendant Corporation from March 2001 to May 2003. After leaving Cendant and prior to joining Norwegian Cruise Line, Mr. Sheehan worked at Cerberus Capital Management as a senior adviser. Most recently, Mr. Sheehan served as the John J. Phelan, Jr. Distinguished Professor in the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business at Adelphi University.
Regions Insurance Group, Inc. [BIRMINGHAM, Ala.] has named Rick Ulmer President and CEO. Prior to joining Regions Insurance in 2013, Ulmer was a Managing Director for Marsh USA. Ulmer has served as President of The MMI Agency, Inc., and previously held leadership roles at Clarity Group, Trilogy and ePolicy.
