Macy’s, Inc. [CINCINNATI] (NYSE: M) announced that Terry J. Lundgren, the company’s CEO since 2003 and Chairman since 2004, will transition the position of CEO to Jeff Gennette. Jeff was named President of Macy’s, Inc. in March 2014 after serving as Macy’s Chief Merchandising Officer since February 2009. From February 2008 to February 2009, Gennette served as chairman and CEO of Macy’s West in San Francisco. He began his retail career in 1983 as an executive trainee at Macy’s West. He held positions of increasing responsibilities, including vice president and division merchandise manager for men’s collection and senior vice president and general merchandise manager for men’s and children’s. In 2004, Gennette was appointed executive vice president and director of stores at Macy’s Central in Atlanta. From February 2006 to February 2008, Gennette was chairman and chief executive officer of Seattle-based Macy’s Northwest.
Westinghouse Electric Company [PITTSBURGH] announced Danny Roderick as president and CEO of Toshiba Corporation’s Energy Systems and Solutions Company (ESS). Roderick will fulfill this role in addition to his role as chairman of the Board of Westinghouse Electric Company. Also, José Emeterio Gutiérrez has been named acting president and CEO, of Nuclear Fuel and Components Manufacturing. Gutiérrez joined Westinghouse in 2008, finally becoming senior vice president, Nuclear Fuel and Components Manufacturing, in April 2012.
Sabre Corporation [SOUTHLAKE, Texas] (NASDAQ: SABR) announced that Tom Klein, president and CEO, will resign from Sabre and its Board of Directors, and will continue to serve as CEO while the Board conducts a formal search for his successor. Klein’s career with Sabre began while it was still a unit of AMR Corp., where he originally held sales and marketing roles with American Airlines, and then joined Sabre, leading a joint venture in Mexico. He went on to serve in a number of executive roles, including group president of both Sabre Travel Network and Sabre Airline Solutions. He was named president of Sabre in 2010 and CEO in 2013.
Xerox [NORWALK, Conn.] (NYSE:XRX) announced that it has appointed Jeff Jacobson to be chief executive officer of Xerox Corporation following the completion of the company’s planned separation into two publicly traded companies. Jacobson currently serves as president of Xerox Technology and will continue in his current role until the separation is complete. Jacobson joined Xerox in 2012 as the president of Global Graphic Communications Operations. He became the president of the Xerox Technology business in 2014. Prior to Xerox, he served as the president, chief executive officer and chairman of Presstek.
Lockheed Martin [BETHESDA, Md.] (NYSE: LMT) announced that it has appointed Ilene Gordon to the board. Gordon is the chairman, president and chief executive officer of Ingredion Incorporated. She joined Ingredion in 2009 from Rio Tinto Alcan where she was CEO of Alcan Packaging. She spent ten years in various leadership positions with Alcan and Pechiney. Previously, Gordon spent 17 years in executive roles of increasing responsibility at the Packaging Corporation of America, a division of Tenneco Inc. Before joining Tenneco Inc., she spent two years at Signode, a global packaging company. From 1976-1980, she worked at the Boston Consulting Group, as a strategy consultant, based in the Boston, London and Chicago offices.
Marvell [SANTA CLARA, Calif.] (NASDAQ: MRVL) announced the appointment of Matthew J. Murphy as President, Chief Executive Officer, and member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Murphy joins Marvell from Maxim Integrated, where he worked for the past 22 years in roles with increasing responsibilities. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President, Business Units, Sales & Marketing. From 2011 to 2015, he was Senior Vice President of the Communications and Automotive Solutions Group. From 2006 to 2011, he was Vice President, Worldwide Sales & Marketing during a time when Maxim’s sales expanded significantly. Prior to 2006, he served in a variety of business unit management and customer operations roles.
IEEE GlobalSpec [EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y.] announced the appointment of Patrick D. Mahoney to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. Mahoney joins IEEE GlobalSpec from IEEE where he served as Chief Marketing Officer. His career began in technical sales and product management, serving in a series of progressive domestic and international management roles with BICC Cables, Framatome, Pitney Bowes, Standard & Poor’s, and IEEE. He also serves on the Board of Directors for McGraw-Hill Federal Credit Union and the St. Edmund’s Retreat Board of Trustees.
SunEdison, Inc. [MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo.] (OTC PINK: SUNEQ) announced that it has appointed John S. Dubel as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Dubel has served as SunEdison’s Chief Restructuring Officer since April 29, 2016 and will continue in that role.
Old Dominion National Bank [NORTH GARDEN, Va.] announced the appointment of Mark S. Merrill of Arlington as president, chief executive officer and a director of the bank, succeeding the retiring William R. Klich. Merrill started his career in the financial services practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers before moving into corporate finance and accounting positions at Pennsylvania’s Waypoint Financial Corp. and Roper Industries. In 2006, he was named CFO of what became Tower Bancorp. In 2012, Merrill was named CFO of Arlington’s Virginia Commerce Bancorp and in 2014 he served as executive vice president at Eagle Bancorp in Bethesda, MD. Prior to joining Old Dominion last year, Merrill founded the technology and social good startup, Sidewalks LLC.
Aegon Asset Management [CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa] has appointed Gary Black as the Chief Executive Officer of Aegon Asset Management US. Gary Black most recently served as Global Co-Chief Investment Officer at Calamos Investments. Prior to Calamos Investments, he was Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer and founder of Black Capital. From January 2006 to July 2009, Gary was Chief Executive Officer of Janus Capital Group, and President and Chief Investment Officer from April 2004 to January 2006. Before joining Janus, Gary was Chief Investment Officer for global equities. Gary began his investment career in 1992, working as a research analyst at Sanford Bernstein.
AIRIS Wellsite Services [TULSA, Okla.] has announced the appointment of Brendan Ryan as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining AIRIS, Brendan held senior leadership positions with UTEC Survey, Bredero Shaw, Shaw Pipeline Services and FMC Smith Systems.
InTouch Technology [VANCOUVER, B.C] announced the promotion of Dana Milkie to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Milkie most recently served on the leadership team at InTouch. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Client Management with ABC Financial. Additionally, he served as Senior Vice President of a multi-location franchise group.
Silver Bay Realty Trust Corp. (NYSE: SBY) announced that its board of directors had appointed Thomas W. Brock as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Brock has served as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Silver Bay since January 19, 2016, and joined the company’s board in connection with its initial public offering in December 2012. Prior to that time he served on Silver Bay’s Board as Lead Independent Director and Chair of the Compensation Committee since its initial public offering in December 2012. From 2006 until the end of 2012, Mr. Brock was the Chief Executive Officer of Stone Harbor Investment Partners, and served as a trustee of a Stone Harbor’s closed-end fund. Mr. Brock currently serves as a director of Liberty All-Star Growth Fund, Inc. and as a trustee of Liberty All-Star Equity Fund, since 2005. Mr. Brock currently serves as an independent trustee of EQ Advisors Trust and has served in this role since January 1, 2016. Prior to joining Stone Harbor Investment Partners, Mr. Brock was an adjunct professor of Finance at Columbia University Graduate School of Management from 1998 to 2005. From 1974 to 1998, Mr. Brock held various positions with Salomon Brothers Inc., including Chief Executive Officer of Salomon Brothers Asset Management, Chief Administrative Officer, and Director of Global Research.
Verisma [WASHINGTON, D.C.] announced that Marty McKenna has been appointed as its president and chief executive officer. McKenna has held multiple leadership roles in healthcare IT from president of Allscripts Analytics, to leading global marketing and commercial operations for dbMotion. During his eleven years at General Electric, McKenna served as the global general manager.
Breathtec BioMedical, Inc. [VANCOUVER, BC] (OTCQB: BTHCF) announced the appointment of Mr. Guy LaTorre as Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr. LaTorre was previously an advisor to the Company on product development and licensing matters. Guy was a co-founder and Vice President of Business Development at Novamin Technology Inc. Previously, he was the Director of Scientific Affairs at USBiomaterials Corp. Prior to USBiomaterials, Mr. LaTorre was the Laboratory Manager of the University of Florida Advanced Materials Research Center.
Vubiq Networks, Inc. [IRVINE, Calif.] announced that John Dilworth has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Previously serving as VP of Business Development, Mr. Dilworth will replace departing CEO Ed Snyder, who has stepped down. Mr. Dilworth joined Vubiq Networks in February 2015. Previously, he served as VP of Sales and Marketing at GraphOn Corp.
Air Lease Corporation [LOS ANGELES] (NYSE: AL) announced that it has appointed John L. Plueger as Chief Executive Officer and President, replacing Steven Udvar-Házy, who will assume the role of Executive Chairman of the Board. Mr. Plueger joined ALC as its President and Chief Operating Officer and member of its Board of Directors in March 2010, shortly after the Company was formed. Mr. Plueger has been with the International Lease Finance Corporation, for 24 years, where he served on its Board of Directors, as President and Chief Operating Officer and then Acting Chief Executive Officer prior to joining Air Lease Corporation.
PS Business Parks, Inc. [GLENDALE, Calif.] (NYSE: PSB) announced that its CEO Joseph D. Russell, Jr. will be retiring in order to join Public Storage (NYSE: PSA) to serve as President. PS Business Parks also announced that it has promoted the company’s President, Maria R. Hawthorne to Chief Executive Officer and elected her to the Board of Directors. Ms. Hawthorne has been with PS Business Parks for over 30 years. In her tenure, Ms. Hawthorne served in numerous operational and executive roles, including Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer from July 2013 until August 2015, when she was promoted to President.
Paradata [SAN JOSE, Calif.] announced that it has named board member and former Flex Senior Executive Debbra Rogers CEO. Founder Scott Slinker stepped down as CEO and has assumed a technical advisory role. During her 17 years at Flex, Rogers held multiple positions including SVP of Sales and Strategy, VP and General Manager for CEC. Prior to that, she was the President and CEO of Agenda Sales.
HITEC Power Protection [ROSENBERG, TX and ALMELO, THE NETHERLANDS] announced the appointment of Garrett Forde as the company’s new CEO. Prior to joining HITEC, Forde held leadership roles for a combined 15 years, within Intelligent Energy, Axisto and Philips.
ClickBank [BOISE, Idaho] announced the appointment of Edward Katzin as its new CEO. Mr. Katzin comes to ClickBank from Apple where he was director of global retail payments and geo expansion. He has held leadership, strategic, and product defining roles for a broad spectrum of companies from Apple and Visa to several successful startups.
Cloudwords [SAN FRANCISCO] announced it has appointed Richard Harpham as President and CEO. Prior to Cloudwords, Harpham held executive positions at Autodesk, M-SIX, and Calgary Scientific. He previously held the role of vice president of sales and marketing at Cloudwords.
Cancer Treatment Centers of America Global, Inc. [BOCA RATON, Fla.] announced that Dr. Rajesh Garg has taken office as its President and CEO. He also is a member of the company’s national Board of Directors. Previously Dr. Garg worked in the health care group at McKinsey & Company.
The National Investor Relations Institute [ALEXANDRIA, Va.] announced that James M. Cudahy has resigned his position as President and CEO. NIRI Vice Presidents Matt Brusch and Mike McGough will serve as interim co-leads for the organization.
Monument Health [GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.] has named Stephanie L. Motter, as its first CEO. Motter most recently served as the vice president for quality and clinical strategy at DaVita Healthcare Partners.
Arborlight [ANN ARBOR, Mich.] announced the selection of Michael McCorquodale as CEO. Dr. McCorquodale returns to Michigan from California’s Silicon Valley where he founded and led several successful firms since 2004. Dr. McCorquodale started his first venture, Mobius Microsystems, while completing his Ph.D. at the University of Michigan. Since then he has founded, led and advised numerous companies pioneering new technology applications. These include his role as CEO of Cortera Neurotechnologies. Before that, he was co-founder and COO of e-SENS.
QuickLogic Corporation [SUNNYVALE, CA.] (NASDAQ: QUIK) announces that its president and CEO, Andy Pease will retire from QuickLogic. Brian Faith will assume the role of QuickLogic president and CEO. Mr. Faith has been with QuickLogic since 1996, and during the last 20 years he has held a variety of managerial and executive leadership positions in engineering, product line management, marketing and sales.
Brightree® [ATLANTA] announced that Matt Mellott will become the company’s new chief executive officer. Mellott joins Brightree from MedBridge Healthcare. Mellott has served as MedBridge’s president since 2008. Prior to MedBridge, Mellott served in a variety of executive finance leadership and chief financial officer roles. He began his career with KPMG.
Umpqua Holdings Corporation [PORTLAND, Ore.] (NASDAQ: UMPQ) announced that president and CEO Ray Davis will move into a new role as executive chair of the company’s board of directors. Cort O’Haver, currently president of Umpqua Bank, will succeed Davis as president and CEO, and will be elected to the company’s board of directors. O’Haver joined Umpqua as executive vice president of commercial banking in 2010. Earlier this year, he was promoted to president of Umpqua Bank.
Security Devices International Inc. [FITCHBURG, Mass.] (OTCBB: SDEV) announced that Gregory Sullivan has resigned as President and CEO to pursue other opportunities. Dean Thrasher, the current COO and a member of the SDI board of directors will assume the interim role of President and CEO.
Citizens Community Bancorp, Inc. [EAU CLAIRE, WI] (NASDAQ: CZWI) announced the appointment of Stephen Bianchi to serve as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Bianchi was also appointed President of CCFBank and a member of the board of directors of CCFBank. He replaces Edward Schaefer who recently resigned from both positions. Since 2011, Mr. Bianchi has served as President and Chief Executive officer of HF Financial Corp. and Home Federal Bank.
Expand Research [NEW YORK, NY] has hired Amy Tsui Luke as a partner and CEO to lead its North American operations. She began her career as an investment banker at CS First Boston before becoming a consultant in BCG’s Boston and New York offices. She also served on the management team of Forbes and as a managing director in Accenture’s Capital Markets practice. Most recently, Luke was a managing director at BCG Platinion, a BCG subsidiary.
TECO Energy [TAMPA, Fla.] (NYSE: TE) announced that President and Chief Executive Officer John Ramil will retire. Ramil has had a distinguished 40-year career with TECO Energy. He joined Tampa Electric in March 1976 as a cooperative education student. After serving in a variety of positions within the company, he became TECO Energy’s president in 2004 and joined the board of directors in 2008. Ramil became chief executive officer in 2010.
Zephyr [NEWARK, Calif.] announced that Scott Johnson has been named Chief Executive Officer. Prior to Zephyr, Scott was President and CEO of Social Solutions. Before Social Solutions, Scott led teams at Haley, Oracle and Curam Software.
Citizens Trust Bank [BIRMINGHAM, Ala.] announced that Alabama Division President and veteran banker, Bunny Stokes, Jr. is retiring after nearly 42 years in banking. Stokes is the former Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Federal Savings Bank.
Lockton [KANSAS CITY, Mo.] has named Glenn A. Spencer as its next President and Chief Executive Officer. Spencer will succeed John L. Lumelleau. Spencer currently serves as Lockton’s Global Chief Operating Officer and President of US Operations. He has held several operations leadership roles with Lockton, since 2005. Previously he worked as an executive with insurance brokers Johnson & Higgins, Marsh, and Palmer & Cay. He began his insurance career at the Travelers in 1987.
Leading BioSciences Inc. [SAN DIEGO] announced that it has appointed Greg Doyle as chief executive officer. Mr. Doyle previously served as chief operations officer and chief financial officer. He succeeds Clark Straw, who will remain as chairman of the board. Before joining Leading BioSciences, Mr. Doyle embraced entrepreneurial and senior-level leadership roles in both public and private companies. He is a former managing partner at early-stage venture capital fund, InLab Ventures, has served as division president for UBICS Corp., and held strategic management consulting roles at both A.T. Kearney and Sapient Corp.
Au Bon Pain [BOSTON, MA] announced that Ray Blanchette has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Blanchette succeeds Susan Morelli, who will become Senior Advisor to the Company. Most recently, from 2007-2015, Mr. Blanchette served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ignite Restaurant Group, Inc., parent of the Joe’s Crab Shack and Brick House Tap & Tavern brands, and as a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining Ignite, Mr. Blanchette served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Asian restaurant operator Pick Up Stix, Inc., and he spent 18 years with Carlson Restaurants, parent of TGI Friday’s, where he held various roles including Vice President of USA Franchise Operations, Vice President of Operations for its East Division, and Executive Director of its International Division serving Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
