DowDuPont Inc. [WILMINGTON, Del. and MIDLAND, Mich.] to be created following the consummation of the proposed merger of equals DuPont (NYSE: DD) and The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) announced the following senior leadership appointments which will be effective upon completion of the proposed merger transaction, which is expected to close in the second half of 2016. Andrew N. Liveris, chairman and chief executive officer of Dow, will become executive chairman of DowDuPont. Edward D. Breen, chair and chief executive officer of DuPont, will become chief executive officer of DowDuPont.
The Wendy’s Company [DUBLIN, Ohio] (NASDAQ: WEN) announced that Todd Penegor has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Company, in addition to his current role as President, and that Emil Brolick has retired from management duties with the Company. In October 2015, Brolick announced his intention to retire, with Penegor designated as successor for the President and CEO roles. Penegor has served as Chief Financial Officer of the Company since 2013.
The DeVry Education Group [DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.] announced that Lisa Wardell has been named chief executive officer of DeVry Group. Wardell was most recently executive vice president and chief operating officer of the RLJ Companies and is a director on the DeVry Group board. She succeeds Daniel Hamburger, who is leaving DeVry Group to pursue other opportunities. Wardell has been a member of the DeVry Group board of directors since 2008, and has also chaired the audit and finance committee.
NetApp [SUNNYVALE, CA] (NASDAQ: NTAP) announced that Steve Smith, CEO and president of Equinix, has joined its board of directors. Mr. Smith joined Equinix in 2007 from Hewlett-Packard Company, where he served as senior vice president of HP Services. There he was responsible for managing the organization’s Consulting and Integration, Managed Services, and Technology Deployment and Support business groups. Before joining HP, Mr. Smith served as vice president of Global Professional and Managed Services at Lucent Technologies. He also held various management and sales positions during his 16 years with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) Corporation, including chief sales officer and president of EDS Asia-Pacific and president of EDS Western Region.
Edelman Financial Services [FAIRFAX, Va.] named Ryan Parker its Chief Executive Officer. A veteran executive with 18 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Parker most recently was Managing Director, Investment and Planning Solutions at LPL Financial. Prior to LPL, Parker worked at Russell Investments, Franklin Templeton Investments and Putnam Investments.
FCi Federal [ASHBURN, Va.] announced the appointment of Scott F. Miller to Chief Executive Officer. Miller has served as company president since 2012. Sharon Virts, current CEO of FCi Federal, will become Executive Chairman of the company. Miller will serve as CEO and President. He has more than 30 years of management and operations experience in federal and commercial markets. He began his career with General Electric.
Calyxt, Inc. [ST. PAUL, Minn.] announced the appointment of former Monsanto Corporation executive Federico A. Tripodi to the role of Chief Executive Officer of Calyxt. Mr. Tripodi takes over as CEO for Luc Mathis, who will continue his role as an advisor to the Company.
Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc. [OVERLAND PARK, Kan.] (NYSE: WDR) announced that the company’s Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Henry J. Herrmann, will retire as Chief Executive Officer effective August 1, 2016. Herrmann, who has served as CEO since 2005 and Chairman since 2010, will remain as non-executive Chairman of the Board. Herrmann’s career in the financial services industry spans 50 years, including 45 years with Waddell & Reed. The Board of Directors has appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer Philip J. Sanders to succeed Herrmann as CEO in August, at which time he will also join the company’s Board of Directors. Sanders, who will continue to serve as CIO, joined Waddell & Reed in 1998 as a portfolio manager and has co-managed the company’s large cap growth product suite since 2006. During his tenure, Sanders has held various senior positions in the investment management division, culminating in his appointment as Senior Vice President and CIO in 2011. Prior to joining Waddell & Reed, Sanders was an analyst and portfolio manager with Banc of America Capital Management, from 1988 to 1998.
NFA [CHICAGO] announced that President and CEO Daniel Roth has announced his plan to retire in the coming year. Mr. Roth joined NFA in September 1983 as an attorney and has held a number of positions with increasing responsibilities, including General Counsel, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In January 2003, Mr. Roth began his tenure as President and CEO.
TIAA [NEW YORK] announced the promotion of Kathie Andrade to CEO of Retail Financial Services. Andrade was previously president of TIAA’s Individual Advisory Services. Andrade succeeds Ed Van Dolsen upon his retirement after three decades of service to TIAA. Andrade, who joined TIAA in 2008. Before TIAA, Andrade worked for Bank of America and its predecessor organizations for more than 20 years. She held various leadership positions throughout her tenure, including transition leadership roles during Bank of America’s acquisitions of Fleet, Merrill Lynch and U.S. Trust.
Polymer Logistics [RIVERSIDE, Calif.] appointed Fred Heptinstall as CEO North America Business, effective July 01, 2016. Heptinstall held executive positions at industry leaders IFCO Systems, a Brambles company, as well as Chiquita Brands International and Mars Inc. In addition to his career experience, Heptinstall serves on the board of directors of the United Fresh Produce Association and previously served as Chairman of the Reusable Packaging Association.
Ignite Sales [DALLAS, TX] announced that it has named George Noga as its new CEO. Prior to joining Ignite, Noga served as Senior Vice President, Managing Director of Revenue Enhancement at Fiserv. He previously served as President, CEO and board member at Syngence LLC. Noga also held many leadership positions during his nineteen years at Carreker Corporation.
Brightpearl [SAN FRANCISCO and BRISTOL, England] announced that it has appointed Derek O’Carroll as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. O’Carroll replaces Andrew Porter who was interim CEO and has now been appointed Chief Information Officer. Before joining Brightpearl, O’Carroll led a successful career of more than 10 years with Symantec, where he held numerous leadership positions with the company’s enterprise, small business, and consumer divisions. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of global field sales and marketing and Vice President, for Symantec’s Norton business.
Remedy Partners [DARIEN, Conn.] announced the appointment of Carolyn Magill to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Magill has held leadership positions in UnitedHealth Group’s Medicare and Medicaid businesses and most recently at Evolent Health.
Edison International [ROSEMEAD, Calif.] (NYSE: EIX) announced that Theodore F. Craver Jr., Edison International’s chairman, president and chief executive officer, will retire effective Sept. 30, 2016. Effective Sept. 30, Pedro J. Pizarro will succeed Craver as chief executive officer.The board of directors also announced the election of Pizarro to the board and as president of Edison International, effective June 1. Pizarro has served the company for more than 16 years, currently as president of Southern California Edison. The company announced that when Pizarro becomes Edison International president on June 1, senior vice president Kevin M. Payne will become chief executive officer of SCE.
World Trade Centers Association, Inc. (WTCA) [NEW YORK] has named Scott D. Ferguson its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Ferguson brings more than 30 years of experience in international business and the WTC Network to the role. Most recently, he was President and CEO of Trade Centre Limited, an Atlantic Canadian organization that operates “World Trade Center Halifax” in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
First Capital Surety & Trust [MILWAUKEE] announced that David A. Eichenbaum was appointed Chief Executive Officer.
George H. W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation [COLLEGE STATION, Texas] announced David B. Jones as the foundation’s new chief executive officer. Jones succeeds Frederick D. McClure, a Bush White House veteran who served four years as CEO and recently accepted a position as Executive Director of Leadership Initiatives in Texas A&M’s Office of the Provost. Jones twice served as managing principal at Houston-based Dini Spheris, where he was also a longstanding Board member, principal and consultant. Prior to his work at Dini Spheris, Jones served as vice president and president of the American Productivity and Quality Center in Houston.
Quiet Logistics, Inc. [DEVENS, Mass.] announced it has hired Rick Faulk as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. Faulk founded Intranets.com which was sold to WebEx in 2005. He was recently CEO of Intronis, which was sold to Barracuda Networks in October 2015. Mr. Faulk has also served in key executive positions at Lotus Development, Shiva, PictureTel, WebEx, Mzinga & j2 Global. National Planning Holdings®, Inc. (NPH) [EL SEGUNDO, Calif.] announced that it has appointed Jim Komoszewski as president and chief executive officer of Investment Centers of America, Inc. (ICA), one of the network’s four broker-dealer firms. Komoszewski replaces Greg Gunderson, who is retiring after more than 22 years with the firm. Most recently, Komoszewski served as senior vice president of new business development and practice management for NPH.
Aplicor [BOCA RATON, FL] announced that it has appointed Donald “Don” Zebe as chief executive officer. Don McKinney will remain as executive chairman of the company. Zebe joins the company after serving as vice president for Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors. Before joining Coldwell Banker, he served as vice president of sales for Oracle, a global provider of cloud applications and platform services. Zebe was also vice president of software sales for Baan Corporation, an early leader in the ERP marketplace. In addition, he held various executive management positions at GE Spacenet, and Qualcomm.
Citizens Community Bancorp, Inc. [EAU CLAIRE, WI] (NASDAQ: CZWI), the parent company of Citizens Community Federal N.A. (the “Bank”), announced that, effective July 29, 2016, Edward H. Schaefer is resigning as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and the Bank. Mr. Schaefer will remain with the Company until July 29, 2016 to assist with the transition to a new Chief Executive Officer.
pingmd, Inc. [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Susan Driscoll as president and CEO. Dr. Gopal K. Chopra, co-founder and former CEO of pingmd will remain in an active role as chairman. Most recently, Driscoll served as the CEO of the Professional & Education division of Wolters Kluwer Health.
Good360 [ALEXANDRIA, Va.] announced that Howard Sherman has been selected as Good360’s new Chief Executive Officer. Sherman was most recently Global CEO of Doremus & Co. (and unit of Omnicom Group) and will assume the new role on July 11, 2016. In addition to his tenure and experience with Doremus, Sherman has over 20 years of consumer marketing experience with premier brands like Foster’s, Hyundai, Miller Brewing, Saab, Dow Jones, Time Warner Cable and Microsoft. Sherman is also Chair of the national Business Marketing Association.
Specialdocs Consultants, LLC [HIGHLAND PARK, Ill.] has named Terry Bauer as Chief Executive Officer. Bauer’s career includes a long tenure as co-founder, president, CEO and director of Orion HealthCorp, and later, as CEO of Bauer Health, LLC. Most recently, he was a principal and strategy practice leader at Portland, ME and Atlanta, GA based healthcare consulting firm Stroudwater Associates. He has served on the Board of Directors of Specialdocs since Shore Capital Partners made its investment in the firm in the fall of 2015.
Froozer® Inc. [DENVER, CO] announced Des Hague, Co-Founder of Hague Enterprises, LLC. and Chairman of the Board of Froozer®, as the next CEO of Froozer®. Hague will continue to serve as Froozer®’s Chairman of the Board.
ALPHAEON Corporation [IRVINE, Calif.] announced that Robert E. Grant, the company’s founder and CEO, has decided to transition his role to become Vice Chairman of the ALPHAEON Board of Directors. Though planned for some time, this transition will be completed by June 30th.
SIMnext, LLC [PEORIA, Ill.] announced that Gary Durack, the founder and president of The TEKMILL, Inc. (TEKMILL), a design & fabrication company based in Champaign, Ill., has assumed the role of SIMnext’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Durack began his career in 1979 at the Coulter Corporation, a world leader in IVD instrumentation. Until 2013, he served as CEO and CSO for iCyt Visionary Bioscience, which he founded in 1995. In 2009, iCyt was acquired by the Sony Corporation and renamed Sony Biotechnology. Mr. Durack is an angel investor in technology startup companies and serves as a Business Mentor with the Chicago Innovation Mentor program.
UA Multimedia, Inc. [IRVINE, CA] (OTC: UAMM) announced the appointment of Dan Tran as the new CEO. Mr. Tran replaces Sully Jacques as the new CEO. Mr. Tran was a Board of Director for the Vietnamese International Film Festival in 2011. He produced the box-office sensation horror film House in the Alley in Vietnam in 2012. In 2013 he produced the film Gentle based on a story by Dostoyevski which debuted at the Busan International Film Festival 2014 and released theatrically in Vietnam in 2015. Recently he is the Executive Producer for the action drama The Rich Woman (aka Nu Dai Gia), currently releasing in Vietnam.
Aqua Terra Water Management, LLC [NEW YORK] announced that the Company’s President and CEO, Mark Harris, will retire in July. Following his retirement, Mark will continue to serve as an advisor to the Company as the Chairman of the Board of Managers. Cory Hall will assume the role of President and CEO of the Company. Cory previously founded CJ Energy, LLC (“CJ”) in 2004 and served as a Principal of CJ until the company’s sale to CCNG Energy Partners, L.P. in May 2013.
Barchart [CHICAGO] announced that Mark Haraburda has been named CEO. Haraburda has served as Managing Director of Business Development and Sales for Barchart since 2007. Current Barchart CEO Andrew Lowdon will continue as COO, as well as company Chairman. Haraburda’s prior career experience includes Bank One, Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Board Options Exchange.
MDRejuvena [SAN DIEGO] announced the appointment of Randy Kriech as President & CEO. David F. Hale, founder and acting CEO, will remain as Executive Chairman of the Board. Randy recently served as the President of Senté. Previously, he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at PrecisionMD. Randy was also co-founder of Carefree Skincare, a company that marketed Celfix Cosmeceuticals, and was sold to PrecisionMD. Randy also served in sales and marketing positions with SkinMedica, now owned by Allergan.
Dell’s Maraschino Cherries [BROOKLYN, NY] announced that the company has appointed Dana Mondella Bentz to President & CEO. Prior to Dell’s Maraschino Cherries, Dana Mondella Bentz was a Finance Operations Senior Administrator at PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Banking & Capital Markets division in New York City.
The Bancorp, Inc. [WILMINGTON, Del.] (NASDAQ: TBBK) and The Bancorp Bank announced that Damian Kozlowski has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of The Bancorp, Inc., President of The Bancorp Bank and a Director of the company and the bank, effective June 1, 2016. Mr. Kozlowski succeeds Interim Chief Executive Officer John C. Chrystal, who will work with Mr. Kozlowski to ensure a smooth transition. Mr. Chrystal will remain a Director of both the company and the bank. Mr. Kozlowski joins The Bancorp after having served, since 2010, as Chief Executive Officer, President, and Director of Modern Bank, N.A. Previously, Mr. Kozlowski served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Capital Financial Group, Inc. (2007-2010). From 2000 to 2007, Mr. Kozlowski was responsible for developing The Citigroup Private Bank’s global growth strategy to significantly build position in the high net worth wealth management market. At Citigroup Private Bank, Mr. Kozlowski managed 4500 employees in 98 offices in 31 countries; he served as Chief Executive Officer, Global Private Bank (2005-2007); President, US Private Bank (2002-2005); Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer (2001-2002); and Global Head of Business Development and Strategy (2000-2001). His prior experience includes positions held at Banc of America Securities, Marakon Associates, Rostra Holdings and US Trust.
PointRight [BOSTON] announced it has named Steven Scott as President and CEO. Scott joins PointRight from ArroHealth, having served as COO. Prior to ArroHealth, Scott was the General Manager of the National Healthcare Practice for Perficient, Inc. Earlier in his career, Scott was the President and COO at Matrix Medical Network and the SVP of Business Development at Excelis Healthcare following its acquisition of American Physicians, Inc. where he served as CEO.
Codeup [SAN ANTONIO] announced that it has appointed Kay Jones as its CEO. Prior to Codeup, Ms. Jones served in a variety of technical management roles at Rackspace, the Managed Cloud Company. Most recently, Ms. Jones was responsible for Workforce Planning and Organization Development within the Engine Room Department of Rackspace.
Global Lyme Alliance (GLA) [Greenwich, CT] announced that it has named Scott Santarella as its new CEO. Santarella is former President and CEO of the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation (ALCF) in San Francisco. Prior to ALCF, he was President and CEO of the American Lung Association of New York (ALANY) and former Executive Director and COO of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation and Multiple Myeloma Research Consortium (MMRF/C).
Deckers Brands [GOLETA, Calif.] (NYSE: DECK) announced that Dave Powers will succeed Angel Martinez as Chief Executive Officer of Deckers Brands following Mr. Martinez’s retirement, effective May 31,2016. Mr. Martinez will continue to serve as Chairman of the Company’s board of directors. Mr. Powers held senior executive roles with Nike, Timberland and Gap prior to joining Deckers in June 2012 as President of Direct-to-Consumer before being elevated to President of Omni Channel where he managed the global retail and e-commerce operations as well as Deckers’ international wholesale and distributor businesses. He was promoted to President of Deckers Brands in March 2015.
