Advanced Health Media, LLC(AHM) [NEW PROVIDENCE, N.J.] announced Christine Croft has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of AHM. Christine has served as SVP & Chief Financial Officer of AHM since October 2013. Prior to joining AHM, Christine spent 11 years in increasingly senior leadership roles at global Life Sciences CRM companies Dendrite International and Cegedim.
Café Valley [PHOENIX] announced the appointment of Brian Owens as Chief Executive Officer. Owens succeeds Larry Polhill, Café Valley’s current CEO and President, Polhill will remain serving as President and in his role as counsel to the Board of Directors as Chairman Emeritus. Owens most recently served as CEO of Le Petit Pain. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Aryzta AG. He also served as the Co-President of the Il Fornaio Bakery division.
Buffalo Wild Wings, Inc. [MINNEAPOLIS] (NASDAQ: BWLD) announced that Sally J. Smith has notified Buffalo Wild Wings of her decision to retire before the end of the year. Smith will continue to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer until the end of the year or until such time as a successor has been named.
National Real Tax Tracking (NRTT) [CHICAGO] announced a strategic investment from a partnership led by John Long, Lewis Hill, and Bill Shaddock. Long, Hill, and Shaddock purchased 50% of NRTT. Long will drive the company’s growth as its new Chief Executive Officer. John Long, was the prior CEO of First American Real Estate Information Services. Long brings over 25 years of corporate and executive leadership to the table, harnessing 40 acquisitions while building up First American’s non-title real estate services division. Long is also the former CEO of First Advantage Corp.
Bespoke Extracts, Inc. [NEW YORK, NY] (OTC PINK: BSPK) announced the appointment of Marc Yahr as the Company’s new President, Chief Executive Officer and Director, succeeding Barry Tenzer, who has elected to retire. Yahr served as the Chief Financial Officer and Comptroller of a large-scale dry cleaning chain. In 2006, he joined L&L International as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In 2015, Yahr also served as Chief Operating Officer and President of Lynx Fitness.
Udemy [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] has appointed Kevin H. Johnson as its new chief executive officer. Before joining Udemy, Johnson served as CEO of Ebates Inc. Prior to joining Ebates, Kevin served as president and general manager of Acxiom Digital and spent six years with the Boston Consulting Group. Johnson also co-founded and served as CEO of Passporta.com.
BrightFunnel [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that it has appointed Christopher Mann as Chief Executive Officer. Chris came to BrightFunnel earlier this year from LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, initially as Chief Product Officer. He was previously a product and go-to-market executive at Coremetrics, which was acquired by IBM. In 2010, Chris joined a startup called Bizo.
Herbalife [LOS ANGELES] (NYSE: HLF) announced the official transition of Richard P. Goudis as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), in succession to Michael O. Johnson who will now assume the position of Executive Chairman of the Company. Goudis has more than 18 years of experience in the field of nutrition with 13 years as part of the Herbalife Nutrition management team serving as COO since 2010 and CFO from 2004 to 2009.
Empire Resorts, Inc. [MONTICELLO, N.Y.] (NASDAQGM: NYNY) announced that its Chief Executive Officer Joseph D’Amato has retired from the Company and the Board of Directors. The Company also announced that its current President and Chief Operating Officer Ryan Eller has been appointed CEO, and will retain the title of President.
Ferring Pharmaceuticals [PARSIPPANY, N.J.] announced that Paul Navarre has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Aaron Graff, who has been appointed to a global role as Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer and member of the Ferring Group Executive Board. Navarre joins Ferring from Allergan, where he was President of Allergan International. Before joining Allergan, Navarre spent 15 years at Procter & Gamble, during this time, he held positions of increasing responsibility in France, the USA, Switzerland, Italy and the UK.
Patterson Companies, Inc. [ST. PAUL, Minn.] (NASDAQ: PDCO) announced that Scott P. Anderson, President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, will step down from those roles. Anderson will continue to serve as a Director until the 2017 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, but will not stand for re-election to the Board. James W. Wiltz, a current director and the Company’s former Chief Executive Officer, will assume the role of Interim President and Chief Executive Officer and remain on the Board.
Protective Life Corporation [BIRMINGHAM, Ala.] a wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of Dai-ichi Life Holdings, Inc. announced it has elected Richard J. Bielen as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Bielen joined Protective in 1991 as Vice President, Securities. He became Chief Investment Officer in 2002 and then named Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer in 2007. Bielen became a member of Protective’s Board of Directors in 2015. In 2016 he was named President and Chief Operating Officer
Canal Insurance Company [GREENVILLE, S.C.] announced the retirement of David Pauly, President and Chief Executive Officer. The Company’s Board of Directors has appointed Paul Brocklebank to succeed Pauly as Canal’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Pauly will continue to serve on the Board and Brocklebank will be joining the Canal Board of Directors. Joining Canal in June 2010, Brocklebank has previously served as the Company’s Chief Underwriting Officer and, more recently, as its Chief Operating Officer. He previously held senior roles at the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Royal Sun Alliance, and Sompo Japan America.
AmpliPhi Biosciences Corporation [SAN DIEGO] (NYSE MKT: APHB) announced the appointment of Paul C. Grint as Chief Executive Officer. Grint has served on the Company’s board of directors since November 2015. M. Scott Salka has resigned as CEO and director of AmpliPhi, and will serve as a consultant to the Company during a transition period. Grint previously served as President and CEO of Regulus Therapeutics Inc. Prior to Regulus, he was President of Cerexa, Inc. He previously served in senior management roles at Forest Research Institute, Kalypsys, Inc., Pfizer Inc., IDEC Pharmaceuticals Corporation and Schering-Plough Corporation. Grint is a director of the private biotechnology companies Amplyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Synedgen, Inc.
Hyalex Orthopaedics [BOSTON] has appointed Mira Sahney as president and CEO of Hyalex Orthopaedics. Prior to joining Hyalex, Sahney was the senior vice president and general manager of the ENT and Gynecology divisions at Smith & Nephew. Prior to Smith & Nephew, she was president and co-founder of Myomo, Inc..
Akari Therapeutics [NEW YORK & LONDON] (NASDAQ: AKTX) announced the resignation of Gur Roshwalb, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. In the interim, Ray Prudo will continue to act as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer.
RE/MAX Holdings, Inc. [DENVER ] (NYSE: RMAX) announced the appointment of Chief Operating Officer (COO) Adam Contos to RE/MAX Co-Chief Executive Officer (Co-CEO), sharing responsibilities with Co-Founder and now Co-CEO Dave Liniger. Contos joined RE/MAX in 2004 working with offices in the Mountain States Region and was promoted to the Region’s Vice President the following year. Between 2007 and 2013 he served as Region Vice President first for the California & Hawaii Region and later the RE/MAX Florida Region. He was promoted to Vice President, Region Development, in 2013 and then to Senior Vice President, Marketing, in February 2015. And in 2016, Contos was named Chief Operating Officer
Dover Saddlery, Inc. [ LITTLETON, Mass.] announced that Brad Wolansky has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors. Most recently, Wolansky was (interim) Chief Digital Officer at Performance Sports Group via Boston’s B2C Partners. Previously, Brad was President, Consumer Direct, and President, Fundraising as well as Chief Marketing Officer for Yankee Candle, part of Newell Brands. Prior to joining Yankee Candle, Brad was CEO of The Golf Warehouse for Redcats USA and spent over 10 years with The Orvis Company, and most recently was VP of Global E-Commerce. Wolansky was also Director of E-Commerce Merchandising for Wilson’s Leather, spent time at L.L. Bean, has engineered two start-ups, and for ten years ran a family-owned group of luggage and gift stores.
Intellitix [TORONTO] announced the appointment of its new President and Chief Executive Officer, Carlo Chiarello. In his previous position, he was Chief Executive Officer of the Lazaridis Institute. Prior to the Lazaridis Institute, he was the Chief Product Officer/COO at Powermat Technologies Ltd. Chiarello worked for 11 years in several executive roles scaling BlackBerry – most recently as the Executive Vice President of the BlackBerry Handset Division.
Government Revenue Solutions (GRS) [HERNDON, Va.] announced the appointment of Paul Colangelo as the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In joining GRS, Colangelo will assume leadership of the company. Prior to joining GRS, Colangelo served as President and COO at Library Systems & Services.
MIT Technology Review [CAMBRIDGE, Mass.] announced a change in executive leadership. Jason Pontin has stepped down as editor in chief and publisher. Elizabeth Bramson-Boudreau takes on the role of CEO and publisher of MIT Technology Review.
Athena Software [WATERLOO, ON] announced Geoff Bellew as its new CEO. Geoff joins Athena from Communitech, where he is currently serving as a senior strategic advisor to a wide variety of growing tech companies in Waterloo Region. Geoff brings over 40 years of experience as a senior executive in financial services and technology, and serves as a director and chair of a wide variety of not-for-profit and social enterprise organizations, including Grand River Hospital and Habitat for Humanity.
Avita Medical Limited (VALENCIA, Calif. & PERTH, Australia & CAMBRIDGE, England) [ASX: AVH; OTCQX: AVMXY] has appointed Michael (Mike) Perry as its new Chief Executive Officer. Perry has been an Avita non-executive director since February 2013. His former executive role was Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of Global Business Development and Licensing for Novartis AG. From 2014-16, Perry served as Chief Scientific Officer of Novartis’ Cell and Gene Therapy Unit. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of the Inegtrated Hospital Care Franchise and Global Head of Stem Cell Therapy for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. He also previously served as a venture partner with Bay City Capital, LLC. He presently serves as a director of listed companies Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals and AmpliPhi Biosciences Corp and holds academic affiliations with the Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and with the Houston Methodist Research Institute. Perry also serves as a director and operating partner of Bioscience Managers Pty Ltd.
TEGNA Inc. [MCLEAN, Va.] (NYSE: TGNA) announced that it has completed the previously announced spin-off of Cars.com, creating two publicly traded companies: TEGNA, and Cars.com. Upon the completion of the spin-off, Dave Lougee, president of TEGNA Media, was named president and CEO and joined TEGNA’s Board of Directors. Gracia Martore, president and CEO of TEGNA, retired and stepped down from the Board. Prior to becoming president and CEO, Lougee was president of TEGNA Media. Lougee was named president of Gannett Broadcasting in July 2007 and previously served as executive vice president, media operations for Belo. At Belo, he also served as senior vice president; president and general manager of TV and cable operations in Seattle/Tacoma; and news director at KING in Seattle/Tacoma. Before that, Lougee was vice president, news at WRC, and vice president, news director at KUSA in Denver. Lougee is also deeply committed to the industry at large.
Day & Ross Inc. [HARTLAND, NB] announced that Bill Doherty has been appointed as its new President and CEO, succeeding John Doucet who will retire from the role. Bill joined Day & Ross October 2016 as part of the leadership transition plan. Bill joined FedEx in 1984, during his tenure with FedEx; Bill held numerous progressive positions including Managing Director Northeast District (air & ground), Managing Director Retail Operations, and VP Global Operations. In addition to his 25-year career with FedEx, Bill held executive-level roles with Greatwide Logistics Services, Omniflight Helicopters Inc., New Breed Logistics, Inc., Warehouse86 Ventures, LLC, and Transervice Logistics Inc.

Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. [MADISON, WIS.] (NYSE: TDS) TDS Telecom’s parent company, announced James W. Butman, currently chief operating officer (COO) at TDS Telecom, will succeed retiring TDS Telecom President and CEO David A. Wittwer at the end of 2017. Wittwer will continue to serve as a member of the TDS Board of Directors.
Crate and Barrel [NORTHBROOK, Ill.] confirmed that CEO Doug Diemoz has left the company to pursue his next challenge. Crate and Barrel Board Chair Neela Montgomery will become the new CEO effective August 1, 2017.
