Nova Communications [OTTAWA] announced it has appointed Joseph Hickey as their new Chief Executive Officer. Andrew Boswell will stay the Vice President of Corporate Development and a partner shareholder in the business. Prior to this Hickey served as the VP of Business Development at Ultra Electronics TCS and Executive VP at ACME TelePower Ltd. Hickey has also been President and CEO of TenXc Wireless Inc., the President, and CEO of TeraBlaze Inc., and also held the position of VP and GM of the Shasta IP Services business unit at Nortel Networks where he began his career.
Medizone International, Inc. [KALAMAZOO, Mich.] (OTCQB: MZEI) announced that it has appointed David A. Dodd as Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Board of Directors. David A. Esposito, current Chairman and interim CEO, will step down from his duties as interim CEO and will remain as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Kaleido Biosciences [BEDFORD, Mass.] announced the appointment of Mike Bonney as chief executive officer and board chair of Kaleido. Mike Bonney joins the Kaleido team from Cubist Pharmaceuticals, where he served as CEO and director. Bonney currently serves as chair of the board of Alnylam. He also serves as a board member of CELGENE and the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research.
Dollar Tree, Inc. [CHESAPEAKE, Va.] (NASDAQ: DLTR) announced that Gary Philbin, President, was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer of Dollar Tree, Inc. and appointed to the Board of Directors. Philbin joined Dollar Tree in 2001 as Senior Vice President of Stores. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2007, and to President and Chief Operating Officer in 2013. In July 2015, Philbin assumed the role of President and Chief Operating Officer of Family Dollar. In January 2017, Philbin was promoted to Enterprise President with responsibilities for both Dollar Tree and Family Dollar banners.
SilverSEAL Corporation [NEW YORK] announced the hire of Patrick Timlin as Chief Executive Officer. Timlin was most recently Senior Vice President, Security and Life Safety at Brookfield Property Partners. He previously served as CEO of an international specialized security consultancy, and had a career with the New York City Police Department.
White Energy [PLANO, Texas] has appointed Greg Thompson as President and Chief Executive Officer. Thompson was one of the original founders of Verdesian Life Sciences as well as President and Chief Operating Officer of the company. Thompson spent the first 10 years of his career with BASF. He later assumed leadership roles with many successful start-up companies.
The Aerospace Industries Association [ARLINGTON, Va.] announced that Eric K. Fanning will become its president and chief executive officer, effective January 1, 2018. Most recently, Fanning served as the 22nd Secretary of the Army. Fanning previously served as Chief of Staff of the Secretary of Defense, Acting Secretary of the Air Force and Under Secretary of the Air Force, and Deputy Under Secretary and Deputy Chief Management Officer of the Navy.
AMREP Corporation [PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa.] (NYSE: AXR) announced that Christopher Vitale has been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of AMREP. Vitale had been AMREP’s Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel since September 2014 and was AMREP’s Vice President and General Counsel from 2013 to 2014.
Optanix [NEW YORK] announced it has appointed Mike Crest as chief executive officer. Crest joins Optanix from Arcserve. Prior to Arcserve, Crest was general manager of the Data Management business at CA Technologies. He was previously senior vice president and general manager of CA’s 14-state Northern U.S. territory and as its regional vice president for Strategic Accounts and Information Management Solutions. Before CA, Crest also spent eight years in management positions at Corporate Express/ASAP Software.
America’s Automotive Trust (AAT) [TACOMA, Wash.] has announced that Adam Langsbard will join the team as its new chief executive officer. Langsbard comes to AAT from the Petersen Automotive Museum. Prior to that, he served in various leadership capacities in the marketing and entertainment industries, including various posts at Sony Pictures, New Line Cinema, 20th Century Fox, as well as his own marketing agency.
Webster Financial Corporation [WATERBURY, Conn.] (NYSE: WBS) announced that James C. Smith, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer will retire from Webster and transition to non-executive chairman, effective January 1, 2018. John R. Ciulla, President, will become the company’s CEO and a member of the holding company’s Board of Directors. Ciulla joined Webster in 2004 as senior vice president for Middle Market Banking and has served in a variety of management positions, including as chief credit risk officer from 2008 to 2010. He was promoted to executive vice president and head of Middle Market Banking in 2011, and became head of Commercial Banking in 2014. Ciulla was appointed president of Webster in 2015. Ciulla is also the president of the bank’s holding company and a member of the Webster Bank, N.A. Board of Directors.
Angel Island Capital [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the appointment of Dev Gopalan as Chief Executive Officer. Gopalan joins Angel Island Capital from Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, where he served as Head of US Private Credit. Gopalan previously spent seven years with KKR. Prior to KKR, Gopalan was a Principal of Private Investments/Private Debt at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. Earlier in his career, he worked at Barclays Capital, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase. He was formerly on the boards of Home Partners of America, DCAL Aviation Finance Limited, and KKR DVB Aviation Limited Capital
Green Development, LLC [NORTH KINGSTOWN] announced that Al Bucknam has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer. Bucknam replaces former CEO, Mark DePasquale, who remains with Green Development as founder and chairman. Prior to joining Green Development, Buckman was president and CEO at REC Solar. Bucknam also served as chief executive officer of SunDurance Energy in New Jersey.
Shiftgig [CHICAGO] announced Wade Burgess will join the company as Chief Executive Officer. Current CEO Eddie Lou will remain with Shiftgig in the new role of Executive Chairman. Burgess worked at LinkedIn for nearly a decade and became the Global VP of Talent Solutions.
The Council of Medical Specialty Societiesm(CMSS) [CHICAGO] has selected Helen Burstin to be the organization’s next Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer. Burstin will succeed Norman Kahn, CMSS EVP and CEO on January 1, 2018. Burstin currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer of the National Quality Forumm(NQF). Prior to joining NQF, Burstin was the Director of the Center for Primary Care, Prevention, and Clinical Partnerships at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Prior to joining AHRQ, Burstin was an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and the Director of Quality Measurement at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
DTN [MINNEAPOLIS] announced that Ron Sznaider is retiring as CEO effective Oct. 1, 2017. Kip Pendleton, senior vice president-Agriculture, will replace Sznaider as CEO. Pendleton joined DTN in July as senior vice president of Agriculture. Prior to joining DTN, Pendleton was president of The Pendleton Group. In addition, he was senior vice president and general manager of Ag at Hemisphere GPS; founder, president, CEO and chairman of DirectAg; and then president and co-CEO of Agristar. He has worked with leading public companies including DuPont Pioneer, Syngenta Northrup King and Dow AgroScience Mycogen Seeds.
Relievant Medsystems [SUNNYVALE, Calif.] announced that Kevin Hykes has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer as well as a member of the Board of Directors. Alex DiNello, the Company’s CEO since 2011, will serve as Chief Operating Officer. Hykes joins Relievant from Metavention, where he was Chairman and CEO as well as an Operating Partner at Versant Ventures. He is remaining as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Metavention. Hykes was previously President and CEO of Cameron Health until in 2012. Prior to Cameron Health, he was the Chief Commercial Officer of Visiogen, Inc. Previously, Hykes spent sixteen years at Medtronic, where he held leadership positions in the Cardiac Rhythm Management, Neurological, Heart Valve, and Cardiac Surgery businesses.
Potawatomi Hotel & Casino [MILWAUKEE] has named Rodney Ferguson as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager. Since 2016, Ferguson has served as the property’s Chief Operating Officer. Additionally, from 2013 to 2015, he served as Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s Chief Financial Officer. In addition to his leadership roles at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, Ferguson served as CEO of Spirit Mountain Casino in Grand Ronde, Ore. Prior to that, he served as General Manager at the Isleta Casino & Resort in Albuquerque.
Farm Credit Services of America and Frontier Farm Credit [OMAHA] named Mark Jensen as incoming president and chief executive officer of the customer-owned financial cooperatives. Jensen will assume his new role on November 1, 2017. He succeeds Doug Stark, who is retiring. Jensen joined FCSAmerica in 1992 and has held senior vice president positions with the Association for the past 16 years. He was named senior vice president – chief risk officer in 2013.
Consult PR [WEST PALM BEACH, FL.] announced that David Blotnick has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer. Blotnick joined Consult PR in 2015 as a Principal Partner and Chief Operations Officer.
Arvinas LLC [NEW HAVEN, Conn.] announced the appointment of John Houston, as president and chief executive officer. Houston will also join the board of directors of Arvinas Holding Company, LLC, and all of its subsidiaries. He joined Arvinas in January 2017 as president of research and development and chief scientific officer. Houston has over 28 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and spent the last 18 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb serving in multiple positions of increasing responsibility.
MYOS RENS Technology Inc. [CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J.] (NASDAQ: MYOS) announced that Joseph Mannello has been appointed to serve as its permanent Chief Executive Officer. Mannello previously served as the Company’s interim CEO since September 2016, and had been a member of the Company’s board of directors since December 2015. Mannello has an extensive background in the financial services industry, including serving as executive managing director at Brean Capital and at Gleacher & Company.
Kitchen Art [CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.] has announced the appointment of Jeff Collamore as Chief Executive Officer and Partner. He succeeds Doug Haynes, who has served as the company’s CEO since 2005. Jeff joined Kitchen Art in 2015 as its Chief Business Development Officer. Jeff came to Kitchen Art following four years as President, Chief Operating Officer at Primera. Prior to joining Primera, he was the founder and CEO of Cabinetry Showcase.
Empire Petroleum Partners, LLC [DALLAS] has announced the appointment of Rocky Dewbre, as its new Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Empire, Dewbre served on the board of directors of CST Brands in 2016 and 2017 as EVP – Channel Operations for Sunoco, LP in 2014 and 2015, and as President and CEO of Susser Petroleum Partners from 1992 – 2014. Prior to joining Susser, he worked for Atlantic Richfield as an internal auditor and Deloitte & Touche as an auditor.

Openlink [UNIONDALE, N.Y.] has announced that Rich Grossi has been promoted to CEO. John O’Malley has transitioned to the role of Executive Chairman of the Board. Rich Grossi takes on the CEO position with nearly 20 years of operational and technological experience at Openlink. Prior to joining Openlink, Rich was a VP of Development at KWI, where he was responsible for technical management of internal software applications.
Team, Inc. [SUGAR LAND, Texas] (NYSE: TISI) announced that Ted W. Owen has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer and that Gary G. Yesavage has been appointed as Team’s Interim Chief Executive Officer. Gary G. Yesavage joined the Team, Inc. Board of Directors in January 2017. From 2009 to June 2016, Yesavage served as the President of Manufacturing for Chevron Corporation’s Downstream and Chemicals Operations. From 1999 to 2009, Yesavage served as the General Manager for Chevron’s Refinery in El Segundo, California. Prior to that, he held various other positions within Chevron. Yesavage previously served as a Director of the Chevron Philips Chemical Company.
Recros Medica, Inc. [SAN DIEGO] announced that Thomas A. Albright has been named President and CEO, and will also serve on the Company’s Board of Directors. Albright brings nearly 35 years of healthcare experience to Recros Medica, with medical aesthetic leadership roles since 2000. Albright was previously CEO of Andrew Technologies since 2011. Earlier he was President of the Topical Aesthetic division of Syneron and before that was VP North American marketing at Nobel Biocare. Albright initiated his medical aesthetics experience at Allergan in 2000. He ended his tenure at Allergan in 2008 as VP BOTOX Global Strategic Marketing.
Unison Industries [CINCINNATI] announced Tom Hoferer as Unison President and CEO to replace former President, Giovanni Spitale. Hoferer’s recent role was the Commercial Programs and Services Support leader for GE Aviation’s Business and General Aviation segment.
Independent Grocers Alliance (IGA) [CHICAGO] announced that John Ross has been named President and CEO of IGA Inc., effective mid-October 2017. He succeeds current IGA Chairman, President and CEO Mark Batenic. Batenic will remain Chairman of the Board until his retirement on December 31, 2018, transitioning in January of 2019 to Non-Executive Chairman. Ross is the current President of Inmar Promotion Network. He also founded and served as CEO of IPG’s Shopper Sciences. Before joining IPG, he spent 11 years with Home Depot in various marketing roles.
OMD Worldwide [NEW YORK] named John Osborn CEO of its US operations. Osborn joins OMD following his role as President and CEO of sister Omnicom agency BBDO New York. Osborn succeeds Monica Karo, who will be Chief Client Officer of OMD Worldwide.
BBDO [NEW YORK] announced that Kirsten Flanik will become President and CEO of the New York agency. She succeeds John Osborn, who will be moving from BBDO NY to become CEO of OMD USA. Flanik was the President of BBDO New York for one year before this new role. Prior to joining BBDO, Flanik spent six years at Fallon Minneapolis and five years at BBH New York as head of account management and business development.
God’s Lake Resources Inc. [TORONTO] (CSE: GLR) announced the resignation of the President, CEO and Director, Ed Ludwig. Michael Sheridan has been appointed as Interim President and CEO to replace Ludwig. Sheridan is the President, Chief Executive Officer, director and principal shareholder of Sheridan Brothers Limited Partnership. Sheridan was previously the founder and President of a number of private investment companies that were active in many sectors of the securities trading business.
Tourmaline Labs [SAN DIEGO] announced that Marc Brungger has joined the company as its new Chief Executive Officer. Previously, he was the CEO of Spireon. Prior to Spireon, he also served as an EVP & GM at Mitchell International.
mitú [LOS ANGELES] named Herb Scannell CEO. He was the former President of Nickelodeon, CEO and co-founder of Next New Networks and President of BBC Worldwide North America. After leaving Nickelodeon, Scannell served as founding CEO of Next New Networks.
Amblin Partners [LOS ANGELES] announced that Michael Wright is stepping down from his position as CEO to become an executive producer of two of the company’s upcoming films. Steven Spielberg, Chairman, Amblin Partners will assume the CEO role.
WidePoint Corporation [MCLEAN, Va.] (NYSE: WYY) announced the appointment of Todd Dzyak as President and CEO of WidePoint Integrated Solutions Corp. and WidePoint Solutions Corp. Dzyak has been with WidePoint Corporation since 2008. Prior to his promotion, Dzyak served as WISC/WSC’s Senior Vice President of Operations. Prior to joining WidePoint, Dzyak co-founded and self-funded a wireless expense management startup.
Curvature [CHARLOTTE, N.C.] has announced the appointment of Peter Weber as its new CEO. Weber joined Curvature’s board of directors as executive chairman earlier this year. Previously, he led Carpathia. Prior to that, Weber was co-founder and CEO of SevenSpace.
Link Manufacturing [SIOUX CENTER, Iowa] has announced that President and CEO Denny Michels will retire on December 31, 2017. Jim Huls, current executive vice president and COO, will succeed Michels as president beginning January 1, 2018. Jim Huls joined the company in 1994 and has been responsible for leading manufacturing operations, product engineering, sales and marketing, administrative functions, and overseeing Link Suspensions of Canada.
Virtual Power Systems Inc. (VPS) [MILPITAS, California] announced the appointment of Steve Houck as CEO. Houck joins VPS from DataCore Software, where he served as Chief Operating Officer. His earlier experience includes executive roles at EMC and VMware.
Accume Partners [NEW YORK] announced that it has hired David Roath as the firm’s new Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Accume Partners, Roath was with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP his entire professional career where he became partner in 2001.
Source Support Services [LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.] announced that Mike Stolz, previously Source’s Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Oldfield will remain with Source as Chairman and Founder. Stolz joined Source in 2016, and was COO.
PHEMI [VANCOUVER, British Columbia] announced the appointment of a new CEO Rick Makos. Makos recently served as CEO of Angoss Software. Previously, Makos served as President of Teradata Canada. PHEMI’s preceding CEO Paul Terry takes on the position of Chief Innovation Officer.
CloudHealth Technologies [BOSTON] named Tom Axbey as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Axbey comes to CloudHealth Technologies following a leadership run at Rave Mobile Safety. He previously held executive posts at IBM where Axbey was GM & SVP America’s. Prior to Micromuse, Axbey worked at VC-financed companies in the software and network management sector.
Ansira [DALLAS] announced that the former Global CEO of Performics, Daina Middleton, will become Ansira’s Chief Executive Officer. Daina, who also ran business marketing at Twitter, served for more than four years as CEO of Performics and has spent nearly 30 years in the advertising and marketing industry. In addition to Twitter and Performics, Daina worked for the digital creative agency Moxie and spent 16 years at Hewlett-Packard in a variety of marketing roles during her tenure there.
Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC) [DETROIT] announced the selection of Arthur Jemison as President and CEO. Jemison leaves his position as Director of Housing & Revitalization for the City of Detroit, a role he has held for 3 years. He is expected to start in his new role Dec. 15, 2017. He succeeds Glen W. Long, DEGC Chief Financial Officer, who has served as interim CEO.
