John Hancock Retirement Plan Services (JHRPS) [BOSTON], part of John Hancock, the U.S. division of Toronto-based Manulife, named Patrick Murphy Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Murphy, who is JHRPS’ president, will replace Peter Gordon, who will be retiring from the company later in the year. Mr. Murphy joined Hancock when the company acquired New York Life’s RPS business where he had been chief executive officer. He had been at New York Life for 11 years in a variety of roles. He has spent his career working in retirement plan services, previously working at American Express Retirement Plan Services, Transamerica and Putnam Investments.

AutoWeb, Inc. [IRVINE, Calif.] (NASDAQ: AUTO) appointed Jared Rowe as director, president and chief executive officer, succeeding Jeffrey Coats. Rowe held senior positions at FordDirect, Cox Automotive, and Cerberus-backed YP Holdings. This will be Rowe’s second stint with AutoWeb, as he previously served as manager of strategic business development in 1998.

Brian Harper

Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust [FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.] (NYSE: RPT) announced that selected Brian Harper as the Company’s next President and Chief Executive Officer.  Harper will succeed Dennis Gershenson, the current Chief Executive Officer of the Company, no later than June 15, 2018, and will also join the Company’s Board of Trustees on that date. Mr. Harper most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Rouse Properties. Mr. Harper also served as the Chief Operating Officer of Rouse from April 2015 to September 2016 and as Executive Vice President of Leasing and Acquisitions of Rouse from January 2012 to April 2015. Mr. Harper previously was the Senior Vice President of Leasing for General Growth Properties.

Hostess Brands, Inc. [KANSAS CITY, Mo.] (NASDAQ: TWNK, TWNKW) announced that it has named consumer packaged goods executive Andrew “Andy” Callahan as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, effective May 7, 2018. He will replace C. Dean Metropoulos, the Company’s Executive Chairman, who has been serving in the expanded role of interim President and Chief Executive Officer since March 31, 2018. Callahan joins the Company with more than 23 years of executive leadership experience serving in key consumer packaged goods industry roles at Tyson Foods, Inc., The Hillshire Brands Company, Sara Lee Corporation and Kraft Foods, Inc.

Ronald Boire

Art Van Furniture [WARREN, Mich.] announced that Ronald (“Ron”) Boire will be joining the Company as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 30, 2018. Mr. Boire will be succeeding Kim Yost, who recently announced his retirement after 9 years with the Company. Boire previously served in senior executive positions, including President and CEO roles, at a wide variety of retail and consumer electronics companies, such as Barnes & Noble, Inc., Sony Electronics, Inc., Best Buy, Toys R Us, Inc., Brookstone, Inc., and Sears Canada, Inc. Prior to joining Art Van, he most recently served as a Principal at The Upland Group.

Match Group [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: MTCH) announced that Malgosia Green has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Plenty of Fish. She will start at the company on April 23. Most recently Green served as the Chief Product Officer of Top Hat. Prior to Top Hat, Green founded and served as Chief Executive Officer at Savvica.

HM Dunn AeroSystems Inc. [EULESS, Texas] announced the appointment of Philip Anderson as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.  Anderson succeeds Phil Milazzo as he transitions to the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining HM Dunn, he was a senior executive at Spirit AeroSystems Inc. for 10 years.  Prior to his defense leadership role Anderson was Spirit’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Spirit AeroSystems, Anderson had a successful 17-year career at The Boeing Company where he worked in a variety of leadership roles at Defense Systems and Commercial Airplanes.  Immediately prior to joining Spirit he was a finance executive at The Boeing Company’s corporate offices in Chicago, IL.

Kathryn Correia

Legacy Health [PORTLAND, Ore.] announced that it has chosen Kathryn Correia to be its next president and chief executive officer (CEO) effective in late June 2018. Correia will succeed George Brown, M.D., as Legacy Health’s president and CEO who has served since 2008. Correia served as CEO of HealthEast, until 2017. Correia then became Fairview Health Services’ chief administrative officer where she has played a key role in Fairview’s overall integration, planning, advocacy and philanthropic efforts.

Brightcove Inc. [BOSTON] (NASDAQ: BCOV) appointed Hugh Jefferson (Jeff) Ray III to serve as the Company’s next Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Ray succeeds Acting CEO Andy Feinberg, who has held the executive position since 2017. Mr. Feinberg will resume his role as the Company’s President and COO. Jeff Ray was in top executive leadership roles at multiple enterprise technology companies of scale, including Ellucian, Ventyx (acquired by ABB), DS SolidWorks, Progress Software, and Compuware.

C3DNA Inc. [CUPERTINO, Calif.] appointed Max Michaels as its President and Chief Executive Officer and also elected him to its Board. Max joined C3DNA from IBM Network Services, where as the global General Manager. Previously he held executive roles at AT&T and Cisco, spanning corporate strategy, business development and sales operations.

Phil Bosua

Visualant, Inc. [SEATTLE] (OTCQB: VSUL) announced that Phil Bosua, currently a member of its Scientific Advisory Board and Chief Product Officer, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and will join the Board of Directors of the Company. With the appointment of Bosua to the position of Chief Executive Officer, Visualant Founder Ron Erickson will retain his position of Chairman of the Board and continue his active involvement in the Company.

PDC Logic [HOUSTON] announced that it has appointed Warren Dyer as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Dyer is the former CEO of Ulterra Drilling Technologies. Before joining Ulterra, Mr. Dyer was instrumental in building United Diamond into the largest steel PDC bit company in Canada.

Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT, Inc. (“CVREIT”) and Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT II, Inc. (“CVREIT II”) [TAMPA, Fla.] each announced that Michael A. Seton assumed the title and role of Chief Executive Officer from John E. Carter who resigned as Chief Executive Officer of the CVREIT and CVREIT II. Mr. Carter will continue to serve as Chairman of the board of directors of CVREIT and CVREIT II and Mr. Seton will continue to serve as a President of CVREIT and CVREIT II.

Nicole Wicker

Altopa, Inc. [SEATTLE] appointed Nicole Wicker as its Chief Executive Officer. Wicker has provided executive leadership to a number of early and growth-stage technology companies. Under her leadership as CFO and interim CEO, medical device company, TearScience, was acquired by Johnson & Johnson. Ms. Wicker has served as Altopa’s Chief Financial Officer since co-founding the Company in March of 2016 with Matt Wilson, Altopa’s prior CEO. Mr. Wilson will remain actively involved in the leadership of the Company as its Chief Experience Officer.

Calypso Technology, Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Didier Bouillard has joined as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Tom Gavin, who served as interim Executive Chairman, will return to his role as a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to Calypso, Didier served as CEO of Ullink.

Joe Yaccarino

MTF Biologics [EDISON, N.J.] announced that Joe Yaccarino has been named its president and chief executive officer. Yaccarino currently serves as executive vice president and will replace Bruce Stroever, who is retiring after leading the non-profit organization for 30 years. Yaccarino’s appointment is effective June 1, 2018. Yaccarino joined MTF Biologics in 1997 as its first development engineer. He currently serves as executive vice president of processing operations. Prior to joining MTF Biologics, Yaccarino was a production engineering supervisor at MicroSurgical Components. 

Leslie Hale

RLJ Lodging Trust [BETHESDA, Md.] announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Ross H. Bierkan will retire from the Company, effective at the end of the term of his existing employment agreement on August 22, 2018. The company has named Leslie D. Hale as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 22, 2018. Ms. Hale currently serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Hale joined RLJ Development, LLC the Company’s predecessor in 2005 as its Director of Real Estate and Finance and was promoted to Vice President in 2006. In 2007, she was promoted to Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President and, in 2013, she was promoted to Executive Vice President. In 2016, Ms. Hale also took on the role of Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Hale has served as a member of the board of directors of Macy’s, Inc. since January 2015. Prior to Ms. Hale’s tenure at RLJ, she held several positions of increasing responsibility within General Electric Capital Corporation (“GE”), including Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of GE Commercial Finance and Associate Director in the Strategic Capital Group of GE Real Estate. Before GE, Ms. Hale was an investment banker at Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Lilis Energy, Inc. [SAN ANTONIO] (NYSE American: LLEX) announced that Executive Chairman Ronald D. Ormand has been appointed Chief Executive Officer in addition to Chairman of the Board. Mr. Ormand, joined Lilis’s Board as a Director in March of 2015 and became Executive Chairman in 2016, brings more than 35 years of industry experience as a senior executive and strategic advisor in the energy sector.

The Orthopaedic Institute [GAINESVILLE, Fla.] announced Dr. Richard Gilbert as Chief Executive Officer. Gilbert most recently served as President of the Medical Group of MDLIVE. Prior to MDLIVE, Dr. Gilbert served as Chief Medical Officer of MEDNAX. His prior experience also includes CEO roles with Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants, Southeast Pain Care and Quantum. He served as Chief of the Department of Anesthesiology and Medical Staff President at Carolinas Medical Center and held a board position for Carolinas HealthCare System.

Immunexpress, Inc. [SEATTLE] announced the appointment of Rolland D. Carlson, Ph.D., as chief executive officer. Dr. Carlson most recently served as President and CEO of WaferGen Biosystems. Prior to WaferGen, Dr. Carlson was President and CEO of Asuragen.  Prior to joining Asuragen, Dr. Carlson held increasingly senior positions at Abbott Laboratories over a 20-year period, including Vice President and General Manager of the Vysis molecular diagnostic business following its acquisition.

Mike Black

Dent Wizard International [ST. LOUIS] promoted Mike Black to chief executive officer.  Black most recently served as president and COO.  The former CEO, Terry Koebbe, will be elevated to the position of Chairman.

Clarify Medical [SAN DIEGO] announced the appointment of George W. Mahaffey as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director. The position had been filled by Rex Bright who was named interim President and CEO in February 2018. Mr. Bright will continue to serve on the Board of Directors for the company. In March 2011 Mahaffey was named President and CEO of Lithera, Inc., later renamed Neothetics. He previously served as CEO of Peplin, Inc. after the dermatology company was acquired by LEO Pharma A/S in 2009. Prior to the acquisition, he served as Peplin’s Chief Commercial Officer and VP, Sales and Marketing. Mr. Mahaffey also served as Sr. VP, Sales and Marketing for Cotherix, Inc. Prior to CoTherix, Mr. Mahaffey worked at Scios, Inc. (acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 2003). Mr. Mahaffey also worked in various marketing functions at Neurex, Inc. (acquired by Elan Corp. in 1998).

Edward J. “Tad” Stewart

Commense, Inc. [BOSTON] an affiliate of PureTech Health plc (LSE: PRTC) announced the appointment of Edward J. “Tad” Stewart as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Stewart joins Commense with more than 20 years of experience in the biotechnology field, including over 15 years at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals.

Jeff Young

Realtors Property Resource® LLC [CHICAGO] a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Association of Realtors®, announced that its founding CEO Dale Ross will be retiring as of May 1, 2018.  RPR’s Jeff Young has been named chief operating officer/general manager and will assume responsibility for all RPR activities, reporting directly to NAR CEO Bob Goldberg.  Young joined NAR in 2008, as vice president with the Realtors® Information Network. In 2009, he joined the newly formed RPR, LLC as senior vice president. Young was promoted to COO in 2015.

Lennar Corporation [MIAMI] (NYSE: LEN) announced that it has appointed Stuart Miller as the newly appointed Executive Chairman. Mr. Miller has worked full time with Lennar for more than 35 years and has served as its Chief Executive Officer for 21 years. Rick Beckwitt has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Lennar.  He also was elected to the Lennar Board of Directors.  Mr. Beckwitt has worked with Lennar for 12 years and has been the Company’s President since 2011.

Rob Pinataro

Payspan [ATLANTA] announced that it has promoted Rob Pinataro to CEO. Pinataro served as COO for nearly three years before stepping up to lead Payspan. His background includes 30 years of experience taking on progressive responsibilities for Fortune 500 and private equity-backed companies, such as GE, ADP, Open Solutions and Alegeus Technologies.

Sonoco [HARTSVILLE, S.C.] (NYSE: SON) announced the start of Robert C. Tiede’s tenure as the new President and CEO of Sonoco. Tiede replaces the retiring Jack Sanders, who served as President and CEO since 2013. Prior to being named CEO, Rob served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Sonoco. Since joining Sonoco in 2004, Tiede has led all of Sonoco’s global consumer-related businesses, including Rigid Paper Containers, Flexible Packaging, Plastics and Display and Packaging.

Werner International Holding S.à.r l. [GREENVILLE, Pa., SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland and LUXEMBOURG] announced that James T. Caudill has been named Global Chief Executive Officer of the WernerCo Group. Mr. Caudill will work out of WernerCo’s Itasca, IL USA office. Prior to joining WernerCo, Mr. Caudill was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of D&M Group. Before joining D&M Group, Jim was with The Black & Decker Corporation for over 20 years where he served in various roles including President of the Hardware & Home Improvement Group and Vice President & General Manager of the Industrial Accessory Division.

Kirkland’s, Inc. [NASHVILLE, Tenn.] (NASDAQ: KIRK) announced that W. Michael Madden has resigned from his roles as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Company, and will serve as an employee-advisor to the board until June 30, 2018. Michael B. Cairnes, the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, will serve as Acting Chief Executive Officer. Since November 2016, Mr. Cairnes has been responsible for the operations of the Company. Prior to joining Kirkland’s, Mr. Cairnes was with Michael’s Stores, where he served concurrently as President of its Aaron’s Brothers retail business, since 2015, and President of its Artistree framing business, since 2007.  Prior to Michael’s, Mr. Cairnes held senior leadership positions at Brushstrokes, and Larson-Juhl, a manufacturer of home décor products.  He also has served as a board and strategy advisor to Bain Capital and Blackstone.

Thom Kenney

SmashFly Technologies [CONCORD, Mass.] announced that Thom Kenney, SmashFly’s CTO, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Kenney replaces Michael Hennessy, company founder, who has served as its CEO and Board Director for more than 11 years.  With this announcement, Hennessy moves into a newly created role focused on product innovation and market thought leadership. Before being appointed CEO, Kenney led the company’s product, engineering, and operations teams. Previously Kenny was an executive at Applause and LogMeIn.

Ascent Capital Group Inc. [ENGLEWOOD, Colo.] (NASDAQ: ASCMA) announced that William Fitzgerald has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of Ascent, however, he will continue in his role as Chairman of the Board. Ascent has appointed William Niles, currently Executive Vice President and General Counsel and Secretary of Ascent, as CEO.  Mr. Niles will continue to serve as the General Counsel and Secretary of the Company. Mr. Niles has served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel and Secretary of the Company, since its inception in 2008 and as a director of MONI Smart Security since its acquisition by Ascent Capital Group, Inc. in 2010. Prior to 2008, Mr. Niles served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Ascent Media Group Inc., (“AMG”) and as a director of AMG’s respective operating subsidiaries.  Mr. Niles also served as co-managing director of AMG from 2006 to 2008.

Lyons Magnus Inc. [FRESNO, Calif.] appointed Ed Carolan as Chief Executive Officer, effective May 15. Mr. Carolan succeeds Robert Smittcamp, who will continue to serve as the Company’s Chairman after more than 40 years of service as Chief Executive Officer and will remain a significant shareholder of the Company. Carolan previously served as President of Campbell Fresh (C-Fresh), Campbell Soup Company. Carolan joined Campbell in 2001 and previously served in general management roles across all divisions, most recently as President of U.S. Retail. Prior to joining Campbell, Ed spent five years with Procter & Gamble, both in the U.S. and internationally.

Rob Palleschi

G6 Hospitality LLC [DALLAS] the parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands in the U.S. and Canada, announced the retirement of Jim Amorosia, G6 Hospitality President and Chief Executive Officer, concluding a 33-year career with the company.  Rob Palleschi, G6 Hospitality Chief Development Officer, has been appointed to the position of Interim President and Chief Executive Officer. Palleschi joined G6 Hospitality in 2017 as Chief Development Officer.  Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of TGI Fridays and spent 12 years at Hilton Worldwide as global head of full-service brands.

Trevena, Inc. [CHESTERBROOK, Pa.] (NASDAQ: TRVN) announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Maxine Gowen, Ph.D., will retire on October 1, 2018.  The Company has selected Carrie L. Bourdow, who currently serves as Trevena’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, to be the Company’s next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2018. Dr. Gowen will continue to serve on the Trevena Board of Directors. Bourdow has served in various senior positions at Trevena since May 2015. She joined the Company as Chief Commercial Officer, and was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in January 2018. Prior to joining Trevena, Ms. Bourdow was vice president of marketing at Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc., until its acquisition by Merck & Co., Inc. in January 2015. Before joining Cubist in 2013, Ms. Bourdow served for more than 20 years at Merck & Co., Inc. Since June 2017, she has served on the board of Nabriva Therapeutics plc.

DataCore Software [FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.] announced the appointment of Dave Zabrowski as chief executive officer (CEO). Former CEO and original founder George Teixeira transitions to the role of executive chairman. Zabrowski most recently served as founder and CEO of Cloud Cruiser, and previously served as CEO of Neterion. Zabrowski was also vice president and general manager at HP.

Tony Ciepiel

Step2 Discovery [STREETSBORO, Ohio] announced that Anthony (“Tony”) Ciepiel has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Ciepiel was most recently Chief Operating Officer of Vitamix Corporation. Ciepiel will succeed Tom Doherty, Interim CEO, who was appointed in July of 2017. His prior roles at Vitamix included Vice President Sales & Marketing and Vice President of Commercial Division. US Radiology Specialists [CHARLOTTE, N.C.] formed by Charlotte Radiology and Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, a leading healthcare investment firm, announced that John Perkins has agreed to join US Radiology Specialists as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Perkins comes to US Radiology Specialists from Bio Products Laboratory (BPL), where he served as CEO. Prior to that, Perkins was the EVP of Global Commercial Operations for Talecris Biotherapeutics. Perkins also had significant private equity experience as an operator and operating partner for Bain Capital, Ampersand Capital and Cerberus Capital. He started his career at General Electric, where he held a variety of operating and M&A roles.

Skimlinks [LONDON & NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Sebastien Blanc to Chief Executive Officer. Alicia Navarro, Skimlinks’ co-founder and current CEO will continue as President. Blanc was the company’s Chief Revenue Officer for the past two years. Prior to joining Skimlinks, Blanc was a Director at Quantcast.

Matt Hood

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina® [DALLAS] named Matt Hood as President and Chief Executive Officer.  Hoods’s previous leadership positions were Chief Marketing Officer at The Habit Burger Grill, Chief Marketing Officer of BJ’s Restaurants, and SVP of Marketing and Brand Development for Carino’s Italian Grill.

Blancco Technology Group [ATLANTA and LONDON] announced that Matt Jones has been named the company’s Chief Executive Officer, taking over from interim CEO Simon Herrick. Prior to Blancco, Matt was the CEO of E8 Security. Matt has been Executive Chairman at InterAct, CEO at CloudShield Technologies, and CEO at Allocity. He has also held senior executive roles at Excite@Home, Sprint and AT&T.

Graham Healthcare Group [TROY, Mich.] a subsidiary of Graham Holdings Company (NYSE:GHC), announced today that it has named David Curtis as chief executive officer of Graham Healthcare Group Home Health, and Justin DeWitte as chief executive officer of Graham Healthcare Group Hospice. In his prior role as chief operating officer of Graham Healthcare Group Home Health, Curtis was responsible for the day-to-day operations of Celtic Home Health, Residential Home Health, and Mary Free Bed At Home. DeWitte previously served as chief operating officer of Graham Healthcare Group Hospice, overseeing the day-to-day operations of Celtic Hospice and Residential Hospice, as well as president of Graham Health Services. Curtis and DeWitte have a long history with the company, Curtis has served as president of Residential Home Health for over 13 years, and DeWitte has served as president for Residential Hospice for over 7 years.

Theresa McCurry

Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC (ASTTBC) [SURREY, British Columbia] announced that Theresa McCurry been appointed as the new CEO.

10EQS [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Jeff Carbeck as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining 10EQS Carbeck built and led the Global Advanced Materials and Manufacturing practice at Deloitte Consulting. He started his career in academia as Professor of Chemical Engineering at Princeton University. After leaving academia he co-founded and built a series of businesses enabled by emerging technologies.  Carbeck works closely with the World Economic Forum, serving on a number of Global Councils.

Insigneo [MIAMI] announced that Daniel de Ontanon will join the company as CEO, effective April 30, 2018. Raul Henriquez, who has served as Insigneo’s (and its predecessor companies’) CEO since 1985, will continue in his role of Chairman of the Board. de Ontanon has more than 20 years of experience with financial services, leading global wealth management firms with a focus on the Latin America region—Insigneo’s key market. Most recently, he served as head of Americas Investment Services at Citi Private Bank (CPB), where he was responsible for the region’s investment teams. Before that, he held various leadership roles, including head of sales for Citibank’s International Personal Banking for the Latin America Region and President of Citi International Financial Services. He also held positions at UBS International and Morgan Stanley.

Joji Tokunaga

Ricoh USA, Inc. [MALVERN, Pa.] announced that Joji Tokunaga has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Ricoh in the Americas. Glenn Laverty remains Senior Vice President of Ricoh Americas Marketing and President & CEO of Ricoh Canada Inc. Most recently, Tokunaga served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Shared Services within Ricoh Americas. Prior to this he was Executive Vice President and Deputy General Manager of Shared Services.

HG Data [SANTA BARBARA, Calif.] announced that Elizabeth Cholawsky has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and to the Board of Directors. Founder Craig Harris, who has led the company since its inception, will now be responsible for accelerating the research and development activities essential to HG Data’s continued growth and expansion. Craig will remain Director and Chairman of the Board. Cholawsky was President and CEO of Support.com. He waws also General Manager at Citrix. Before her leadership roles at Support.com and Citrix, Cholawsky served in senior marketing and product strategy roles at Move, Inc., ValueClick, Inc. and other companies.

EvergreenHealth [KIRKLAND, Wash.] announced that Robert “Bob” Malte plans to retire from his position as Chief Executive Officer of by the end of 2018. Malte joined EvergreenHealth in May of 2010, having previously served as CEO at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center in Colorado. Prior to that, he served in several senior leadership capacities at ThedaCare health system in Appleton, Wisconsin, Penn State Hershey Medical Center, and Loyola University Medical Center, after starting his career at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago.

Roy Wright

The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) [TAMPA, Fla.] announced that Roy E. Wright has been selected as the next President and Chief Executive Officer of the organization. Wright is expected to assume both roles on April 25. Wright will work closely with current IBHS President and CEO Julie Rochman, who will remain a strong resource for the organization through her retirement at the end of June. Wright joins IBHS from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), where he most recently led the agency’s resilience, risk management, risk reduction, and flood insurance programs. Wright served as chief executive for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

Integrated Financial Settlements (IFS) [ATLANTA and DENVER] announced the selection of Robert Lee as new Chief Executive Officer. Bob has worked with IFS for several years, and for the last two plus years he has served in the role as their CFO. For most of his career, Bob has served as a Managing Director at Dean Witter and Morgan Stanley.

United Community Banks, Inc. [BLAIRSVILLE, Ga.] (NASDAQ: UCBI) announced that, after almost 35 years of service, its Chief Executive Officer, Jimmy Tallent, will retire from his current position effective June 30, 2018.  Mr. Tallent will move into a new role as Executive Chairman of United’s Board of Directors.  Lynn Harton, President and CEO of United’s banking subsidiary, will become CEO of United.  Harton was named CEO of United Community Bank in August 2017 and was elected to the Board of Directors in February 2015.  Prior to joining United in 2012, Harton served in executive capacities with various financial institutions. These include serving as CEO of The South Financial Group, and Chief Credit Officer for both Regions Financial Corporation and Union Planters Corporation. He began his career with a twenty-year stint at BB&T.

Paul Macaluso

The Krystal Company [ATLANTA] announced that it will welcome Paul M. Macaluso as its new Chief Executive Officer. Macaluso began his career with YUM! Brands Inc., starting as a general manager and ultimately holding several management roles within the Taco Bell Corporation. He then led brand strategy, menu development, and product marketing for Burger King Corporation and Sonic Industries. Most recently at Focus Brands, Macaluso began as CMO of Moe’s Southwest Grill and ultimately rose to President of McAlister’s Deli.

Hexagon US Federal [HUNTSVILLE, Ala.], a subsidiary of Hexagon, has appointed Tammer Olibah president and chief executive officer. Prior to joining Hexagon, Olibah served as part of an executive team leading the Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) information technology and cybersecurity business.

Abeona Therapeutics Inc. [NEW YORK and CLEVELAND] (NASDAQ: ABEO) announced the appointment of Carsten Thiel, Ph.D., as Chief Executive Officer.  Timothy J. Miller, Ph.D., will remain President and assume the position of Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Thiel most recently served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to leading his most recent position at Alexion, he served as its Senior Vice President, Europe/Middle East/Africa and Asia Pacific where he was responsible for driving Alexion’s global commercial operations in these regions. Prior to joining Alexion, Dr. Thiel served as Vice President, Head of Europe at Amgen. He also held various other senior leadership positions at Amgen, including General Manager, Germany, and General Manager, CEE. Prior to Amgen, Dr. Thiel held several sales and marketing leadership roles across Europe at Roche.

Craig Shirley

Oski Technology, Inc. [SAN JOSE, Calif.] announced that it has appointed Craig Shirley as President and Chief Executive Officer. Shirley comes from IC Manage where he served as the Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Prior to IC Manage, he served as Vice President Worldwide Sales at Apache Design Solutions (acquired by ANSYS), Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Jasper Design Automation (acquired by Cadence), and Vice President of North American sales at Verisity Design (acquired by Cadence).

Nex Cubed [SAN FRANCISCO and SAN DIEGO] has named Marlon Evans as CEO. Evans was the former CEO of GSVlabs. Prior to GSVlabs, Evans was the Director of Corporate Affairs at Hewlett Packard. Evans has held leadership roles at the KIPP Foundation, Playworks, All Stars Helping Kids, and other nonprofit organizations.

Commerce Bancshares, Inc. [ST. LOUIS] (NASDAQ: CBSH) announced that effective August 1, 2018, John W. Kemper, currently president and chief operating officer of Commerce Bancshares, Inc., will become president and CEO, assuming the CEO role currently held by David W. Kemper, who will remain active as executive chairman. John Kemper has been with the bank since 2007, and was named president and COO in 2013. John Kemper joined Commerce in 2007 as director of strategic planning. Prior to that, he worked as an engagement manager in the New York and Chicago offices of McKinsey & Company.

Michael B. Magnavita

Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union (FMFCU) [CHADDS FORD, Pa.] announced the naming of Michael B. Magnavita as president and CEO. Magnavita previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at FMFCU since 1993. He started his FMFCU career in 1987 as assistant vice president and controller.

Rogerson Communities [BOSTON] announced that Walter J. Ramos will join the organization as President and CEO in July, 2018. Ramos will succeed Rogerson’s current President and CEO, James F. Seagle, who led the organization for 45 years. Seagle will assume a new role at Rogerson, advocating on a national level for funding production of affordable housing. Ramos will leave his current position as President of Carney Hospital, part of Steward Health Care.

Mercer [SEATTLE], a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies (NYSE: MMC), has appointed Macaire Pace as West Market CEO, based in its Seattle office. Prior to joining Mercer, Ms. Pace spent more than ten years at Willis Towers Watson, most recently as the Managing Director and Market Leader for Metro New York. In addition, she spent several years in various leadership roles at Hewitt Associates (now Aon Hewitt) in San Francisco and New York.

Paul Mountford

Riverbed Technology [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the appointment of Paul Mountford to CEO, succeeding Jerry M. Kennelly, who is retiring after serving as CEO since co-founding Riverbed in 2002. Mountford joined Riverbed nearly four years ago as SVP and Chief Sales Officer. Prior to Riverbed, Mountford was CEO of Sentillian. Mountford also spent 16 years at Cisco in senior leadership roles.

Not Your Average Joe’s [MILTON, Mass.] appointed Peter D’Amelio to become the Chairman and CEO, succeeding Stephen Silverstein, the company’s Founder. Mr. Silverstein will continue in his role as a Director and will be a consultant to the Company. D’Amelio joined Not Your Average Joe’s as President in September 2017. Peter’s career included his 18 years at Cheesecake Factory where he was President for 5 years.

Darienne Driver

The United Way for Southeastern Michigan [DETROIT] announced the appointment of Dr. Darienne Driver as the organization’s new president and CEO, effective July 9, 2018. Dr. Driver currently serves as superintendent of the Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) and will continue in that role through July 6. Prior to her role as superintendent, Dr. Driver served as MPS’ first chief innovation officer. She also previously served the School District of Philadelphia as its deputy chief of empowerment schools, and coordinator of strategic management and accountability. While at Clayton County Georgia Public Schools, she served as special assistant to the superintendent. Dr. Driver began her outstanding career in education as an elementary teacher for Detroit Public Schools. Dr. Driver will replace Tanya Heidelberg-Yopp who led the organization as interim CEO throughout the three-month nationwide CEO search. Heidelberg-Yopp will resume her role as chief operating officer. Dr. Driver replaces Dr. Herman Gray, pediatrician, who vacated the role last December to chair the department of pediatrics at Wayne State University School of Medicine.

Macrolide Pharmaceuticals [WATERTOWN, Mass.] announced that Mahesh Karande has joined the company as President and CEO. Mr. Karande has held increasing responsibilities at Novartis AG where he ran large businesses in the US and internationally. He served as Vice President and U.S. Oncology Business Head for Breast and Renal Solid Tumors, President and Pharma Head for Africa and Egypt, and Head of Strategy and Business Development for Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa. He joins Macrolide from Intarcia Therapeutics where he served as Vice President and General Manager.

Byron Jobe

Vizient, Inc. [IRVING, Texas] announced that Byron Jobe, its previous president, chief administrative and financial officer, is the new president and CEO of the Company. Jobe began his career at Vizient (then VHA Inc.) in 1994, where he focused on corporate planning and business development. Jobe left the organization in 1999 to work in the health care technology sector, returning in 2007. Jobe’s broad and diverse experience includes positions with PwC, Baylor Scott & White Health and Healthvision.

Command Center, Inc. [DENVER] (OTCQB: CCNI) appointed Richard Coleman as president and CEO and a member of its board of directors. He succeeds Bubba Sandford, who resigned his positions as CEO and director to pursue other interests. Since 2014, Coleman has been a director at Hudson Global, Inc. Prior to Command Center, Coleman served as President and CEO, director, and principal executive officer of Crossroads Systems, beginning November 2013. He has also served on various other public company boards and in a variety of senior operational roles, including CEO of Vroom Technologies Inc., COO of MetroNet Communications, and president of U.S. West Long Distance. He also held significant officer-level positions with Frontier Communications, Centex Telemanagement and Sprint Communications. He began his career as an Air Force Telecommunications Officer managing Department of Defense R&D projects.

Bobby J. Chacko

Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc. [LAKEVILLE-MIDDLEBORO, Mass.] announced that it has appointed Bobby J. Chacko as president and chief executive officer. Chacko was named president and chief operating officer in January 2018. He joined Ocean Spray in 2017 as chief growth officer. Prior to joining Ocean Spray, Chacko served as regional president of Mars Drinks where he had complete responsibility for the North American business. Before joining Mars Inc., Chacko had 20 years of diverse corporate leadership and entrepreneurship experiences, encompassing strategy, innovation, marketing, and commercialization with iconic brands in category leading companies like The Coca-Cola Company, AB Inbev, and GE Capital. Chacko will replace outgoing CEO Randy Papadellis who announced he was stepping down last month.

Acerus Pharmaceuticals Corporation [TORONTO] (TSX: ASP) announced that it has appointed Edward Gudaitis as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective May 1, 2018. Luc Mainville will continue to act as Interim CEO until the transition date. Thereafter, Mainville will resume his post on the Board of Directors of Acerus. Prior to Acerus, Gudaitis served as Vice President and General Manager of Allergan Canada. Previously, Gudaitis worked as General Manager for Gilead Sciences Canada Inc. Earlier in his career he spent more than 10 years at Hoffmann-La Roche in roles of increasing responsibility.

Corvidia Therapeutics Inc. [WALTHAM, Mass.] announced the appointment of Marc de Garidel as Chief Executive Officer. de Garidel succeeds Corvidia’s Michael Davidson, who will remain on the company’s executive team as Chief Scientific Officer. de Garidel was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ipsen SA between 2010 and 2016. Prior to his experience at Ipsen, de Garidel spent 15 years with Amgen. He began his career with Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY) where he worked in the United States, France and Germany.

Jonathan E. Watkins

Broward Health Imperial Point (BHIP) [FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.] announced that Jonathan E. Watkins has been named chief executive officer. Watkins most recently served as chief operating officer at Kaiser Foundation Hospitals & Health Plan in California’s Central Valley area. Prior to that, he served as vice president of clinical operations/chief operating officer of Medical North Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

CSafe Global [DAYTON, Ohio] announced that Jeff Pepperworth has been named as its new Chief Executive Officer. The appointment follows Brian Kohr’s decision to resign as President and CEO. Mr. Kohr will continue to serve on CSafe’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining CSafe, Mr. Pepperworth served as President of the Healthcare division for Inmar, Inc. During his tenure at Inmar, Mr. Pepperworth also served as President of their Supply Chain division. Before that, Mr. Pepperworth served as Senior Director of Materials Management at Cleveland Clinic. Mr. Pepperworth also has held several senior leadership positions at UPS, including Senior Vice President of Global Logistics and Distribution, Vice President of Central U.S. Operations and Vice President of Transportation.

Astrodyne TDI [HACKETTSTOWN, N.J.] appointed Chris Viola to Chief Executive Officer. Viola most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Astrodyne TDI. Prior to joining the company, he held senior positions at Murata, Celestica and Lucent Technologies.

Stanley M. Frank

Sunrise House Treatment Center [LAFAYETTE, N.J.] and American Addiction Centers (AAC) announced the hiring of Stanley Frank, RN, MBA, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Prior to joining AAC, Frank worked as CEO of several Acadia facilities in Arizona, Indiana, and Ohio. He also worked with United Health Services in the Philadelphia area.

Raquel Rosenthal

Digilant [BOSTON] announced it has hired Raquel Rosenthal as Chief Executive Officer of US Operations. Rosenthal rejoins Digilant following a two-year stint at DataXu, where she served as Enterprise Sales Director. Between 2011 and 2016, Rosenthal held a variety of business development roles at Digilant, culminating in the Senior Vice President of Sales position. Moore Tool and Moore Nanotechnology Systems [BRIDGEPORT, Conn.] announced that Mark Boomgarden has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 16, 2018. Len Chaloux, the Co-founder and President / CEO of Moore Nanotechnology Systems, will be stepping down and serve as President Emeritus through the end of calendar year 2018, at which time he will retire. Most recently, Mark was co-founder, Corporate Vice President & Vice President of Operations at Akoustis. Prior to Akoustis, Mark served as Vice President and General Manager of the wafer-level optics organization at Tessera Technologies, Inc., along with Vice President of their Wafer Level Camera business. Kevin Ruffe

Community Veterinary Partners (CVP) [PHILADELPHIA] announced the appointment of Kevin Ruffe as Chief Executive Officer. He will also join CVP’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining CVP, Ruffe was the Chief Growth Officer at MedExpress.

ENGIE Storage, formerly Green Charge [SANTA CLARA, Calif.] named Christopher Tilley Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Founder Vic Shao who will remain with the company as chairman. Prior to joining ENGIE Storage, Chris worked at Alta Energy as Chief Strategy Officer. Prior to Alta, Chris was CEO of SunLink where he grew the company from its earliest stages to market leader. Prior to SunLink, Chris was President & CFO of Prevalent Power. Earlier in his career, Chris worked at Bechtel, Booz Allen and Santander Investment with a focus on the energy sector.

Self Point [BROOKLYN, N.Y.] announced the appointment of Michael J. Haaf as the new chief executive officer. Haaf joined Self Point’s board of directors in 2017 and was elevated to executive chairman of the board shortly after. While serving as CEO, Haaf will remain on Self Point’s board. Haaf has previous experience with Lucky Supermarkets, Food Lion, LLC, Office Depot, Inc., and GE.

Peter J. Bulgarelli

Lillibridge Healthcare Services, Inc. [CHICAGO] (NYSE: VTR) has named Peter J. Bulgarelli as President and Chief Executive Officer. Bulgarelli currently serves as Executive Managing Director, Industries at JLL. Prior to his current role, Bulgarelli was Executive Managing Director, Healthcare Solutions. Bulgarelli earned his B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Illinois and received his M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Business.

Bob Priest-Heck

Freeman [DALLAS] announced it has named Bob Priest-Heck as its new CEO. Priest-Heck will be the company’s fourth CEO and the first in the company’s 90-year history to come from outside of the Freeman family. Priest-Heck joined Freeman in 2011 with the acquisition of Wheelhouse Solutions. He has spent the past 25 years leading global technology brands and experiential marketing agencies — including Immersa Marketing and MediaLive International Inc.

Faultless Starch/Bon Ami Company [KANSAS CITY, Mo.] announced that it has named Sean Williams president and CEO. Most recently, he served as vice president of North American Sales and Global Marketing for CCM Hockey, a former division of Adidas. Before CCM, he had a distinguished 14-year career with Procter & Gamble. He spent the majority of his time at P&G working in Consumer Oral Care.

Erhardt Preitauer

CareSource [DAYTON, Ohio] named Erhardt Preitauer as its next CEO. Preitauer will succeed founding CEO Pamela Morris, who will retire in May 2018. Preitauer is currently with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, where he is the CEO of Horizon NJ Health.

ARTMS Products Inc. [VANCOUVER, British Columbia] announced the appointment of Dr. Kaley Wilson, PhD, as the interim Chief Executive Officer. Founder and former CEO, Dr. Paul Schaffer will become the Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Wilson also holds the role of Director of Business Development at Quark Venture Inc.

Allina Health and Aetna [MINNEAPOLIS] have named Tom Lindquist as CEO of Allina Health | Aetna, the jointly owned health care company. Lindquist comes to Allina Health | Aetna from Molina’s South Carolina plan. Before joining Molina in 2013, Lindquist was the president of AccentCare in Texas. Lindquist also held leadership positions for UnitedHealthcare in Minnesota, Texas and Louisiana; Ochsner Health Plan, Inc.; and Memorial Sisters of Charity.

Kibo [DALLAS] announced David Post as its new Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Kibo, David served as the President of Vista Consulting Group. In addition, he has held executive leadership roles at a number of software companies. Recently, David was the President and Chief Operating Officer at Omnitracs. He was previously the Chief Executive Officer of MRI Software and served as the Vice President of Customer Operations for Sunquest Information Systems. Earlier in his career David held positions at several firms within the technology consulting and software provider space, including Kintana, Accenture, and Keane Consulting.

NCR Corporation [ATLANTA] (NYSE: NCR) announced that Bill Nuti, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, intends to step down for health reasons upon the naming of a new CEO. Upon stepping down, Nuti will be named Chairman Emeritus and serve as a consultant to NCR.

Mark Benjamin

Nuance Communications, Inc. [BURLINGTON, Mass.] (NASDAQ: NUAN) announced that it has appointed Mark Benjamin as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr. Benjamin will join Nuance on April 23, 2018, He succeeds Paul Ricci, who will retire from Nuance on March 29, 2018. Benjamin currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of NCR Corporation. Prior to joining NCR, he spent more than 20 years in various leadership assignments for Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP). Most recently, Mr. Benjamin served as the president of ADP’s Global Enterprise Solutions division.

MGM Holdings Inc. [LOS ANGELES] announced the departure of its CEO, Gary Barber. The Board has temporarily formed an Office of the CEO to oversee the Company’s day-to-day operations. The Office of the CEO includes Ann Mather, formerly of Pixar, Paramount Pictures and Disney; Fredric Reynolds, formerly of CBS and Viacom; Nancy Tellem, formerly of Microsoft/Xbox Studios and CBS; David Krane, CEO of Google Ventures; and James Dondero, CEO of Highland Capital Management.

Micro Focus International Plc [SUNNYVALE, Calif.] (LSE: MCRO; NYSE: MFGP) announced that Chief Executive Officer Chris Hsu has notified the company that he will step down, as CEO and Director of the company. The Board has appointed Stephen Murdoch, current Chief Operating Officer, to serve as the new CEO.  Murdoch has held senior executive positions in general management, sales, and strategy with IBM and Dell. Murdoch served as CEO for Micro Focus prior to the spin-merge with the software division of Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Just Energy Group Inc. [TORONTO] (NYSE: JE; TSX: JE) announced that Deborah Merril and James Lewis will be transitioning out of their President and Co-CEO roles and Patrick McCullough, Just Energy’s current CFO, will be appointed as President and CEO and will join the Board of Directors, effective April 1, 2018.  Pat McCullough joined Just Energy in August 2014 as its CFO.  Prior to this, Mr. McCullough was Chief Executive Officer at Amonix. He had served as CFO of Amonix since May 2010. Prior to that, he was CFO at IMI Severe Service from May 2007; Division CFO for Johns Manville (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) from April 2005; and held various roles with Ford Motor Company and its spin-off Visteon Corporation, culminating as Deputy General Manager and CFO of a joint venture in Shanghai, China.

Seaboard Corporation [MERRIAM, Kan.] (NYSE American: SEB) announced that Darwin “Duke” Sand has been named the next President and Chief Executive Officer of Seaboard Foods LLC. Sand has more than 30 years of pork industry experience and is a 22‑year veteran of Seaboard Foods. Prior to becoming Seaboard Foods’ Senior Vice President of Sales with responsibilities for all sales and marketing in 2011, he was in charge of the Seaboard Foods’ pork export business as Vice President of International Sales. Sand started his career at IBP, Inc. in 1987 and held a variety of sales leadership roles until 1996. Sand will succeed Terry J. Holton, who recently announced his retirement.

Greater Newport Physicians (GNP) [ORANGE and LOS ANGELES Counties, Calif.] announced that Diane Laird, founder and CEO, has announced her retirement.

Ronin Blockchain Corp. [TORONTO] announced the appointment of Michael Frank, as its new Chief Executive Officer. In the past, he served as the CEO of Sprylogics International and currently sits on the board of AnalytixInsight and Ronin.

Kate Spade [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Anna Bakst as Chief Executive Officer and Brand President. She will succeed Craig Leavitt, who in the wake of the Tapestry, Inc. acquisition, made the decision to exit the brand in 2017. Ms. Bakst has over 25 years of experience managing and cultivating businesses for global fashion houses, most recently at Michael Kors where, until January 2017, she held the role of Group President of Accessories and Footwear. Ms. Bakst joined Michael Kors in 2003, leading the successful launch of the company’s Accessories and Footwear businesses. Prior to Michael Kors, she had a 12-year career at Donna Karan International, ultimately as President of Accessories and Footwear.

HBR Consulting LLC [CHICAGO] announced the elevation of president Nick Quil to the role of chief executive officer (CEO). Christopher Petrini-Poli, co-founder and current CEO, will assume the role of executive chairman on HBR’s Advisory Board.

Tom Hutton

Cadence Aerospace [ANAHEIM, Calif.]  announced the appointment of Thomas C. Hutton as Chief Executive Officer. Ron Case, who has served as the Company’s CEO since 2014, plans to retire later this month. Mr. Hutton joins Cadence Aerospace after having served as Chief Executive Officer of PAS Technologies. Earlier in his career, he served United Technologies for more than 25 years in a number of executive positions including leading Pratt & Whitney’s global, multi-billion-dollar commercial MRO business.

PushFire [KATY, Texas] announced that Rae (Hoffman) Dolan has stepped down as the Chief Executive Officer for the firm, concurrent with the announcement that she is retiring from SEO consulting and affiliate marketing. Sean Dolan, who has served as the company’s President and COO since co-founding the company in 2012, has moved into the CEO role.

First Mining Gold Corp. [VANCOUVER, British Columbia] (TSX: FF; OTCQX: FFMGF) announced the appointment of Jeff Swinoga as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Patrick Donnelly.

Algold Resources Ltd. [MONTREAL, QUEBEC] (TSX-V: ALG) announced the appointment of Benoit La Salle as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. La Salle will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Algold, a position that he has occupied since early 2013. In 1995, La Salle founded Canadian-based SEMAFO Inc. Francois Auclair, formerly the CEO, will assume the key role of Executive Vice-President, Exploration.

Valentina Texera-Parissi

Great Books Foundation [CHICAGO] announced that Valentina Texera-Parissi will succeed Joseph Coulson as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to becoming CEO, Texera-Parissi was Executive Director of K-12 Programs for the Foundation. Early in her career, Texera-Parissi served the Foundation as a Senior Account Manager.

Ionic Security Inc. [ATLANTA] announced the appointment of Eric Hinkle as President and Chief Executive Officer. Hinkle brings over 30 years of experience, most recently as Operating Executive with Marlin Equity Partners, where he conducted operational due diligence and served as Chairman for multiple companies including Asentinel, CompassLearning, Logi Analytics, LogicBlox/Predictix, Longview/Tidemark, Mapp, Serenova, Verisae, and Vivonet.  Previously, he served as CEO of Servigistics, an exited Marlin portfolio company; CEO of MediaOcean; and President and COO of Radiant Systems. Hinkle additionally served in key roles at AlliedSignal Aerospace, McKinsey & Company, and IBM Research.

AgriBank [ST. PAUL, Minn.] appointed Jeffrey R. Swanhorst as chief executive officer, effective April 2, 2018. A 35-year veteran of the Farm Credit System, he has served as chief credit officer of AgriBank since August 2011. He previously was senior vice president of credit at CoBank. While at CoBank, he served in credit and relationship management leadership roles beginning in 1999. Prior to that, Swanhorst’s Farm Credit career was in lending and management with the St. Paul Bank for Cooperatives, and he began his career as a lending officer with the Mitchell-Huron Production Credit Association in South Dakota. Swanhorst will replace William J. Thone, who has served as CEO since December 2016 after serving as interim CEO since August 2016.

Alder BioPharmaceuticals, Inc. [BOTHELL, Wash.] (NASDAQ: ALDR) announced that Paul B. Cleveland, a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, has been appointed to serve as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Cleveland’s appointment follows the mutual determination by Randall C. Schatzman and the Board that now is the right time for Dr. Schatzman to step down as President, Chief Executive Officer and as a director. Cleveland currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Adverum Biotechnologies, Inc., where he previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Celladon Corporation, where he previously served as that company’s Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Cleveland served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Chief Financial Officer at Aragon Pharmaceuticals before its acquisition by Johnson & Johnson, and prior to Aragon, he was General Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Mohr Davidow Ventures and Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer for Affymax. Mr. Cleveland was previously a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Chase and Co. and a predecessor firm, Hambrecht & Quist, and a corporate lawyer at Cooley LLP, Sidley Austin LLP, and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP.

Bob Preston

Synagro Technologies, Inc. [BALTIMORE, MARYLAND] named Robert “Bob” Preston as the company’s new president and chief executive officer (CEO). Since 2014, he has served as president, CEO and chairman of GSE Environmental. Preston began his career in engineering and operations positions with DuPont and progressed rapidly through increasingly responsible assignments throughout his career with companies such as Eastman Chemicals and Allied Signal/Honeywell. Collectively, he has served as COO, president or CEO at four companies spanning 12 years.

Covr Financial Technologies [BOISE, Idaho] announced that Michael Kalen has joined as its chief executive officer. Kalen is an executive advisor with Aquiline Capital Partners. Before that, for seven years, he was CEO of insurance marketer Futurity First. Prior to that, he was president of The Hartford Life’s US Life Insurance business. His experience also includes serving as senior vice president of insurance and estate planning at Prudential Securities and senior roles with Prudential Financial.

Blickman Industries [CLIFTON, N.J.] announced a new CEO, Anthony Lorenzo. Anthony Lorenzo worked for companies such as Morgan Stanley, Citadel Investment Group and the Royal Bank of Canada.

Tri-Tex [ST. EUSTACHE, Quebec] announced that Richard Hooper has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Hooper most recently served as CEO of SummitReheis. Mr. Hooper assumes the role from Natalie Laham, who will remain with the company as a minority shareholder and member of the Board of Directors. Prior to leading SummitReheis in its successful growth and eventual sale to Elementis PLC in March 2017, Mr. Hooper served as President and CEO of ICL Industrial Products, North America. Mr. Hooper has also held senior leadership positions at Supresta and Chemtura, after beginning his career at Uniroyal Chemical where he held various positions in engineering, production and general management.

Steven Fuller

The Army Residence Community (ARC) [SAN ANTONIO] announced that Steven E. Fuller has been selected as Chief Executive Officer. He will assume his position at the ARC on May 15, 2018. Fuller has been a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator since 1996 and has over 20 years of long-term care experience, serving the last 17 years as Chief Executive Officer for a similar nonprofit community, the Village at Incarnate Word in San Antonio.

Allied Orion Group [HOUSTON] named Ricardo Rivas as Chief Executive Officer. Rivas currently serves as Principal and Chief Investment Officer. Rivas joined Allied Orion Group in 2001 as assistant superintendent and later moved to assistant property manager. In 2002, he was promoted to development officer that evolved into vice president of development, where he was responsible for new multifamily developments. In 2013, he was named chief investment officer and in 2016, became a principal of the firm.

Sapience Analytics [FRISCO, Texas] announced that Bradley Killinger, current president of the company, has been named the chief executive officer. The current CEO and co-founder Shirish Deodhar becomes the president and head of the R&D Center in India.

United Way of Metro Chicago [Chicago] announced that Wendy DuBoe, President and CEO, plans to step down after fifteen years with the organization.

Branded Entertainment Network (BEN) [SHERMAN OAKS, Calif.] announced the appointment of Ricky Ray Butler as CEO effective June 1. Butler previously held the role of Global CCO. Gary Shenk, who was the founding CEO of BEN, will move into the newly-created role of Executive Chairman after the transition. In 2009, Butler founded Plaid Social Labs, which was acquired by BEN in 2015. He joined the company as Senior Vice President of Digital.

Andrew Schirmer

Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide [PARSIPPANY, N.J.], a WPP Health & Wellness company, announced the appointment of Andrew Schirmer to the role of chief executive officer, Ogilvy CommonHealth (OCH) North America. Schirmer joins OCH from McCann Global Health, where, as president, he oversaw the group’s global and public health unit. Prior to that he founded and led McCann’s consumer health division, McCann HumanCare. Schrimer takes over the CEO position left vacant by Matt Giegerich, who departed the agency last year.

SourceMedia [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Gemma Postlethwaite as its Chief Executive Officer effective April 9, 2018. She succeeds Douglas Manoni, the company’s CEO since 2010, who announced he would step down in early 2018. Postlethwaite joins SourceMedia from Pira Energy Group, which was acquired in 2016 by S&P Global, a McGraw-Hill Company. Prior to serving as Chief Executive of Pira Energy, Postlethwaite held senior executive roles at Altegrity; Infogroup; and at Thomson Reuters.

Dax Brady-Sheehan

Spectrio [TAMPA, Fla.] announced the appointment of Dax Brady-Sheehan as chief executive officer (CEO).  Brady-Sheehan succeeds Aaron Kleinhandler, who is transitioning to the role of chief operations officer (COO) for the company. Before joining Spectrio, Brady-Sheehan was the site leader for Google’s New York City Marketing Services Team. Prior to Google, Brady-Sheehan held senior leadership roles at G/O Digital, the now digital arm of TEGNA, Inc., and at Hearst in its digital advertising business unit. In both roles, Brady-Sheehan cultivated a talented team of digital marketing experts, while fulfilling a goal of growing the positive company culture and fostering a growth mindset. Brady-Sheehan is focused on continuing this commitment to progressive company culture at Spectrio as well.
